TIONI fUT All Notices intended for insertion in the Hue- and- Ory are to be transmitted under cover, addressed to the Inspector- General, Royal Irish Constabulary, Dublin Castle, authenticated by a Separate Communication. No Description can be inserted unless an Information shall have been Sworn; but it is not necessary to forward the Informations to the Inspector- General. Notioes respecting all Felonies and such Misdemeanours as are of an aggravated nature will be inserted. All Descriptions of persons whose apprehension is sought on a charge of Misdemeanour should be aecompanied by a statement that a Warrant has been issued ami by the name of the person in whose hands it is. But the Constabulary should remember that they cannot arrest a person charged with an offence of this •• tore unless they have the Warrant in their possession when making the arrest. Should irregularities arise in the delivery of the Hue- and- Cry, it will be necessary to forward one of the oovers, or give the number it bears, as without this fo^ n iniilinii the mistake cannot bo rectified. Antrim. x Description oi the two undernamed young offenders, who, on the 9th June, 1892, absconded from the Malone Reformatory School at Belfast:— JOHN BALIE, 19 years of age, dark hair, dark brown eyer, dark brown eyebrows, regular nose, regular mouth, fresh complexion, oval visage, stout make, 5 feet 3 inches high, is a farm labourer, born at Bangor, county Down, formerly belonged to Bangor, county Down, parents reside at 1, Church- street, Bangor; scar on top of head, chicken chested, scar above right eyebrow. The school dress consists of:— Moleskin jacket, trowsers, and vest, Glengarry cap, blue and white strips ihirt, red and black check tie, Blucher boots, and woollen stockings. HUGH BELL, 18 years of age, brown hair, brown eyes, brown eyebrows, regular nose, large mouth, fresh complexion, oval visage, stout make, 6 feet 2 inches high, is a farm labourer, born at Clifton- street, Belfast, formerly belonged to Clifton- street, Belfast, parents reside at 55, Mountjoy- street, Bal- " fast; chicken chested, scrofula marks on neck, large swollen glands. The school dress consists of:— Moleskin jacket, trowsers, and vest, Glengarry cap, blue and white stripe shirt, red and black check tie, Blucher booti, and woollen stockings. Description of ISAAC MILLER, native of Russia, who stands charged with having, within the past six months, in the barony of O'Neiland East, parish of Shankill, embezzled certain sumB of money received by him for bis employer:— Dark eyes, broad pro- minent ncse, dark complexion, round face, stout maka, 6 feet 2 inches high, about twenty years of sge, dark hair ; wore a low jerry bat, black jacket coat, dark trowsers snd vest; is a pedlar, and has a certificate ; speaks English badly. Lurgan, 29th Hay, 1892. Belfast. Description of EDWARD S. W. DE COBAIN, native of Belfast, who stands charged that he did, within the past two years, at Belfast, commit an act of gross indecency with another male person, and within the same time, and at the place aforesaid did incite divers other male persons to commit sodomy:— Walks erect, sqnare shoulders, corpulent, contracts eyebrows when speaking, gray eyes, regnlar nose, pale complexion, full face, stout make, 5 feet 10 inches high, about 48 years of age, dark brown hair; wore a silk hat, black Chesterfield overcoat, black frock coat, dark trowsers, and dark vest. Warrant in bands of District Inspector, Detective Department, Belfast, to whom information should be sent. NOTS Arrest cannot be legally made without Warrant. Belfast, 15th April, 1891. Carlow. Description of MICHAEL CLUNE, native of Tullybrack, who stands charged with having, on the 4th June, 1892, in tbe barony of Moyarta, parish of Kilrush, broken into the house of Bridget Walsh, at Ballykelt, for the purpose of committing a burglary:— Dark- gray eyes, ordinary nose, sallow complexion, broad face, stout make, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 28 years of age, brown hair s wore a white soft hat, dark tweed sack coat, gray trowsers, dark tweed vest; is a labourer. Description of JAMES BEATTY, native of Fermoy, who stands charged with having, on the 27th May, 1892, in the barony of Fermoy, parish of Mallow, stolen a horse, the property of Edward Fitzgibbon :— Good- looking, smart military appearance, speaks with English accent, shaves all face except small side whiskers; gray eyes, slightly hooked nose, fresh com- plexion, long face, medium make, 5 feet 9 inches high, about 30 years of age, brown hair; wore a black hat, dark pilot coat, light tweed trowsers, black vest, and brown leather leggings; is a groom. Description of DANIEL CONNELL ( mother's surname Touhy), native of Cloughoolia, who stands charged with having, on the 19th day of May, 1892, in the barony of Fermoy, parish of Monaniny, attempted to commit a rape on Catherine Healy, a child under 13 years of age:— Walks with a swagger, has an impediment in his speech, and was in America for some time; dark brown eyes, regular nose, ruddy complexion, round face, medium make, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 28 years of age, black hair; wore a light brown hat, black coat, brown tweed trowsers and vest; is a farmer's son. This man was released from Mountjoy Prison on licence, 30th May, 1898. He left Delgany, county Wicklow, on 1st instant, without reporting to the police, and his present whereabonts is unknown. Description of WILLIAM POWER, native of Ardvullane, who stands charged with having, on the 28th day of May, 189!, at Lattin, in the barony of Clanwilliam, parish of Lattin, district of Tipperary, seriously assaulted John Dannaher, by kicking him on the head, thereby placing his life in danger:— Dark eyes, cocked nose, dark complexion, round facs, stout make, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 18 years of age, black hair; wore a gray cap, black ooat, gray trowsers, and black vest; is a farmer's son. Description of RICHARD ENGLISH ( mother's surname Carey), native of Carrowkeale, who stands charged with having, on the 23rd of Jaly, 1886, in the barony of Kilnamanagh Lower, parish of Donohill, seriously assaulted one James Gleeson, by striking him with a stone, from the effects of which he died after- wards :— Cut- mark on back of head, high cheek bones, brown moustache and side whiskers as far down as ears, long neck, gray eyes, long nose, fresh complexion, thin face, active make, 5 feet 10 inches high, about 25 or 26 years of age, dark brown hair; wore a soft felt hat, gray tweed coat, trowsers, and vest; is a labourer. Description of ANDREW BOTTS ( mother't surname Kavanagh), native of Enniskerry, who stands charged with having, on the 21st May, 1892, in the barony of Bathdown, parish of Powertcourt, com- mitted a burglary in a dwelling- house belonging to Mr. Francis Buckley, Hotelkeeper, Enniskerry; Botta was bailed to take his trial at Wicklow Quarter Sessions on 16th June, 1892, but failed to surrender to his recognizance :— Small dark gray eyes, regular nose, sallow complexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 6 or 7 inches high, about 35 or 40 year* ef age, dark hair ; wears all bis beard which is dark, shaves upper lip; wore a dark frock coat, dark tweed trowsers and vest; may ba found wearing moleskin trowsers, dark coat and vest, and shoes without nails; is a labourer; is suspected of being either in Dublin or Liverpool. Warrant for his arrest lies with Sergeant Hughes, Enniskerry. Bray, 18th June, 189?. ( 16097 c.— 2108.) Description of JAMES WELLS, supposed a native of England, who stands charged with having, on divers occasions during the month of May, 1892, in the barony of Rathdown, parish of Bray, county Dublin, unlawfully by fraud and false pretences obtained money and goods amounting to £ 3 14s. 6d. from Isaac Epstein, with intent to defraud:— slight limp when walking, speaks with an English accent, smart appear- ance ; gray or blue eyes, regular nose, regular face, medium make, 5 feet 11 inches high, about 30 years of age, light- coloured hair; wore a brown felt hat, blue cloth jacket, moleskin trowsers, blue striped vest, white muffler, or tie, and new laced boots; is a navvy, generally at public works. Warrant issued. Bray, 3rd June, 1892. ( 16050 c—- 1572).) Description of JOHN WILSON ( mother's surname not known, bnt resides at No. 8, South King- street, Dublin), native of Glasgow, who stands charged with having, on the night of the 15th May, 1892, in the barony of Newcastle, pariah of Kilcoole, being con- cealed in Bromley Demesne, under circuoastanoes denoting that he was there for the purpose of committing a felony, and unable to give a good account of himsell, lodging in the open air, and without any visible means of subsistence, and escaping from custody of police :— Blue or gray eyes, pale complexion, regular face, stont make, 5 feet 5 inches high, abont 35 years of age; wore an old dark hard hat, long dark ooat, light trowsers. Speaks with a Scotch acoent; is known to the police in counties of Dublin, Wicklow, and Wex- ford ; is a tramp. Warrant issued. Bray, 1st June, 1892. ( 16010 c.— 1482.) DUBLIN METROPOLITAN POLIOS. Particulars relative to Convict PATRICK FINN, convicted at Wicklow, at Winter Assizes ( Leinster Winter Assize County), on 19th December, 1887, for rape, and sentenoed to 5 year's penal servitude :— years on conviction, read and writs, is a Roman Catholic, single, is a labourer; born in Dublin; resided before conviction in Tallow, county Carlow, where his friends reside:— Dark brown hair, gray eyes, dark brown eyebrows, medium nose, regular mouth, sallow complexion, oval visage, proportionate make, 5 feet 4| inches bign ; M. F., A. S., P. F., A. F, M. H., anchor, A. S., P. F., on left forearm; A. F. on left upper arm; P. F., P. H. on back of left hand; three rows of dots round left wrist; anchor on middle finger; and ring fourth finger left band; M. x H. x M. X H. right forearm. This convict was released from Mountjoy Prison on licence, 2nd July, 189 i. He reported himself to the Constabulary at Naas, on 6th July, and left for Clonmel on 7th July, but did not report himself at the latter place. His present whereabouts are unknown. If arrested he should be proceeded against under Act 54 and 55 Vic., cap. 69 ( Penal Servitude Act, 1891), section 4, sub- section 1. 4th Augu » t, 1892. ( 488 H. o.) T. tattooed on left forearm; faded cross on sach forearm; is a labourer; native of Dublin; convicted at Dublin Sessions, 27th November, 1886, of larceny from the person after previous conviction, and sentenced to 7 years' penal servitude; released from Mountjoy Con- vict Prison, 7thMarch last, on licence. Description of FRANK MARTIN, native of Bath, who stands charged with stealing 600 dollars in American paper notes, and £ 130 in money, on the 16th instant:— 22 years of age, 5 feet 6 or 7 inches high, dark complexion, black hair ( clean shaved), dark eyes, narrow forehead ; wore a black billycock hat, and black rough serge jacket suit; may endeavour to leave the country. Wanted, on a Sheriff's Warrant, for theft of £ 25 :— JAMES GILMOUR, 16 years of age, about 5 feet 4 inches high, well made, dark hair, fresh complexion; good- looking; dressed in a blue serge jacket suit, Lorne shref, and light tweed cap; resided with his mother at No. 212, Paisly- road, of this city. The accused was a message boy, in the employment of James Gemmell and Co., Tea Merchants, Maderia- court, Glasgow, and on 26th instant received the money to pay duty on tea, which he failed to do, but absconded. Has been at sea for some time, and will probably endeavour to emigrate. Please cause diligent search and inquiry to be made for the accnsed at hotels, shipping offices, and other likely places, and if found arrest, and wire the Chief Constable here, when he will be sent for. Description of two cows, the property of Michael Ward, which were stolen from the lands of Drum liffin Glebe, parish of Kiltoghert, and barony of Leitrim, on morning of 4th August, 1892:— 1. A dark gray milch cow, turned- in horns, mark of an old brand on right horn, in good condition, 5 years old ; value for £ 13 or £ 14. 2. C. Broadley " engraved on back ; a silver snuffbox, a small sugar- basin, engraved " K. C. Broadley"; a small fluted teapot, gold lever watch and chain, hunter case, No. 3,459; a thick gold ring, engraved 41 Derrycumichy, 14th August, 1883;" a cigarette case, " To E. B. B. from T. O. Also the following, all of which has the crest " Blackamoor's head "; 4 dozen electro- plated dinner forks; 1 dozen electro- plated small dinner forks; 3 electro- plated punch ladels; 6 electro- plated soup spoons; 6 silver soup spoons; 8 silver dessert spoons; 1 silver sugar tongs, with initials T. Michael Monaghan, Philip O'Reilly, and one of Mr. Monaghan's children for £ 50; two grants of administration of the property of the late Philip O'Reilly, of Drnmeel, taken out by Mary S. Monaghan, one of them in the Cavan Registry, the other grant relative to shares in A. Guinness's and Co.; an old pocket- book, with J. P. band, containing letters and various bills and papers referring to Mr. Monaghan's affairs; a certificate, Government 2\ Consolidated Stock for £ 400, another for £ 300, both dated 15th June, 1892; cash one £ 5 note, 12 single notes, and about £ 10 in gold and silver; number of notes not known.
