REGULATION'S. g" All Notices intended for insertion in the Hue- and- Ory are to be transmitted under cover, addressed to the Inspector- General, Royal Irish Constabulary, Dublin Castle, autfienliaated by a Separate Communication. No Description can be inserted unless an Information shall have been Sworn; but it is not necessary to forward the Informations to the Inspector- General. Notices respecting all Felonies and such Misdemeanours as are of an aggravated nature will be inserted. All Descriptions of persons whose apprehension is sought on a charge of Misdemeanour should be accompanied by a statement that a " Warrant has been issued, and by the name of the person in whose hands it is. But the Constabulary should remember that they cannot arrest a person charged with an offence of this nature unless they have the Warrant in their possession when making the arrest. Should irregularities arise in the delivery of the Hue- and- Cry, it will be necessary to forward one of the covers, or give the number it bears, as without this Information the mistake cannot bo rectified. Prison and Police Authorities are particularly requested to be good enough to inform the Inspector- General, Royal Irish Constabulary, Dublin Castle, of tho jibolition of Gaols, Stations, & c., and of any circumstances rendering the supply of the " Hue- and- Cry " no longer necessary. DE COBAIN, native of Belfast, who stands charged that he did, within the past two years, at Belfast, commit an act of gross indecency with another male person, and within the game time, and at the place aforesaid did incite divers other male persons to commit sodomy:— Walks erect, square shoulders, corpulent, contracts eyebrows when speaking, gray eyes, regular nose, pale complexion, full face, stout make, 5 feet 10 inches high, about 48 years ol age, dark brown hair; wore a silk hat, blaek Chesterfield overcoat, black frock coat, dark trowsers, and dark vest. Description of JAMES BEATTY, native of Fermoy, who stands charged with having, on the 2Tth May, 1892, in tbe barony of Fermoy, pari. h of Mallow, stolen a hcrse, the proparty of Edward Fitzgibbon:— Good look ng, smart military appearance, speaks with English accent, shaves all face except small side whiskers; gray eyes, slightly booked nose, fresh com- plexion, long face, medium make, 5 feet 9 inches higb, about 30 years of age, brown hair; wore a black hat, dark pilot coat, light tweed trowsers, black vest, and brcwn leather leggings; is a groom. Description of MARGARET HUGHES, who alleges to be a native ot Portumna, but is probably a native of tbe county Meath, who stands charged with having, on the 24th May, 1898, in the barony of Dunkellin, parish of Ardrahan, wilfully murdered her infant daughter, aged ten days :— Very nice looking, urusually respectable in her appearance ; regular nose, pale complexion, thin face, slight make, 5 fast 5 itches high, about 20 years of are, sandy hair; wore no hat, gray jacket, black sbawl, and dress, neat slight boots ; is a tramp, was for some time a servant. Particulars relative to Convict BERNARD BOYLE, convicted at Belfast, county Antrim, on 14th March, 1884, for larceny from the person, after previous con- viction, and sentenced to 7 years' penal servitude J 51 years of sge on conviction, married, is a hacfelsr, born in Belfast, where he resided before conviction, and where his friends reside :— Light brown hair, gray eyes, sand/ eyebrows, large nose, large mouth, fresh complexion, oval visage, medium make, 5 feet 6 inches high ; varicose veins in legs, two flags and a euu on left side. B. B. E. B , two flags and anchor on right arm, B. B., Crucifix and heart on left arm, bracelet on each wrist, bald top ot head. This man was released from Mountjoy Prison on licence, oa I st April 1892. and went to Belfast. C,) Particulars relative to Convict PATRIcK FINN, convicted at Wicklow, on 19th Dec., 1887, for raps, and sentenced to 5 years penal servitu le; 25 years of age on convict on, single, is a labourer, born at Dublia, resided at Tallow bafoie conviction, his trie ids reside at Tullow, and Kilco 1, county Wicklow ; dark brown hair, gray eyes, dark brown eyebr ws, medium nose, regular mouth, sallow c mplexion, oval visare, pro- portionate make, 5 feet 4| inches hi h ; M. F. A. S. P. F. M. H., anchor, A. S. P. F and several dots on fore- arm and back ofleft hand, M. X H. + M. x H. on right forearm. This man was released from Mountjoy Prison, on 11th April, 1892, and went to Man- chester. He repor'ed himself at the Dublin Detective Office on 19th ins:, on arrival from Liverpool, and stated he would notify his residence next day, but he has failed to do so, and his present whereabouts is unknown. In the event of his arrest he should be dealt with under the 5th section of the Act 34 and 35 Vic., cap. 112. 26th May, 1892. ( 477 H. C.) Particulars relative to convict JAMES M'DON- NELL c 84, convicted at Dublin City Commission, on 28th October, 1886, for housebreaking and larceny, and sentenced to 7 years' penal servitude — 35 years of age on conviction, married, is a labourer, born at Do. l n, where be resided before conviction, and where his friends reside; dark bair, hazel eyes, dark brown eyebrows, small nose, small mouth, sail > w complexion, round visage, medium make, 5 feet 4 inches high; cut on top of head, raptured left side. This man was i ele - used from Maryboro' Prison on licence, 29th February, 1892, and emigrated. He recently returned, b « t up to the present has not re- ported himself to the Police, ani his whereabouts is uuknown. Description of a horse, tho property of William Phelan, of Derrinduff, which was stolen or has strayed from the lands cf Denycarrew, parish of Ofierlane, barony of Upperwoods, on or about the 13th day of April, 1892:— Dark brown filly. 2 years old, white star on forehead; va'ue for about £ 14. Mellett, wnich were stolen from her shop at Swi. ford, parish of Kilconduff, barony of Gallon, on the 4th day of May, 1892:— A lady's gold lever watch, No. 11,645, open faced, chased on back, with monogram " L. M " in centre of shield at back, gold dial j to watch was attached a lady's long guard chain, thiok cable pattern, one link of chain near swivel broken; both value for about £ 20. Greves," and gave his address, 7, Albert- road, Brighton, and Holmleigh House, Qaeen's- road* Beading, which is false, about 27 years ot age, about 5 feet 6 inches high, dark hair with slight dark moustache, ruddy com- plexion with bright colour on cheekbones, gentlemanly appearance, dressed in black morning coat, blue and gray striped trowsers, black Oxford hat, and was wearing brown gloves:— On Friday, 13th instant, a dark chestnut mare, " Sutton," marked white below the locks on both hind legs; white star on face; height about 15.1 or 2 hands; a set of brass- mounted harness. No. 18 on the bridle and pad, and stamped " A. Du Pont and a dog- cart, marked " Hunt & Co." on the box of the wheels, painted dark green, picked out with black, with tail- board, dark green cloth cushions, and indiarubber mat, front seat, but no back seat or lamps; whip, maker's came stamped 44 Schomherg," and branded " A. Description of a silver cup, plate, and spoon, the property of Venerable Archdeacon James George Scott, which were stolen out of his house at Bray Great, parish of Bray, barony of Rathdown, on the night of the 8th or morning of the 9th of April, 1892: — A small silver cup, 8- J or 4 inches high, nearly hemispherical on a hexagonal fo it, and a knot on middle of upright engraved with " I. H. S." and other ornaments, gilt, but gilding was much wora; a silver plate, similar to foot or stand of cup, but 3 inches wider in diameter, the centre of it gilt, but gilding was much worn, engraved on it " I. H. S.;" a smaU silver spoon for administering Sacrament in extreme cases, 3 inches long, and a cross on the top of the handle.
