Description of A MAN, name and native place unknown, who stands charged with having, on the 4th day of April, 1892, in the barony of Ballybritt, parish of Birr, stolen a watch and £ 2 from Joseph Lewis of Parsonstown :— Fair complexion, fair face, medium make, 5 feet 6 or 7 inches higb, about 20 yean of age, fair hair; wore a pepper- and- salt colour tweed cap with ear flaps, tweed coat, trowsers, and • est; is a tramp; looks like a discharged soldier; will likely enlist. Parsonstown, 11th April, 18S2. ( 14995 c.— 99676.) Particulars of CHARLES ROUND, of Lord- street, Liverpool, who was convicted on 1st March, of having, on 20th. October, 1891, obtained, by false pretences, a sum of money from Edward Hurst, pro- vision dealer, Parsonstown, and sentenced to 18 montls* imprisonment, as it is believed he has also defrauded numbers of traders throughout the country, it is requested that the Police will cause the necessary inquiries to be made amongst small dealers in earthen- ware and others. He represented himself to be a commission agent for various pottery firms in England, and also traded as the " Staffordshire Earthenware and Hardware Company," a firm which exists in name only, and on receipt of money fails to forward the goods. In some instances where the orders were for small amounts, he forwarded the goods for the purpose, presumably, of getting larger orders. Description of PATRICK SMITH, native of Killeen, who stands charged with having, on the 19th April, 1892, in the barony of Granard, parish of Granard, dangerously assaulted Robert M'Carty, whereby one of his legs was broken:— Walks erect, wears all his beard which is dark brown; prom inent wild eyes, small cocked nose, dark complexion, oval lace, slight make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 26 years of age, dark brown hair; dark brown tweed coat, corduroy trowsers, dark brown vest; is a farm servant. Description of THADY TAYLOR ( mother's surname Gallagher 1, native of Barnacogue, who stands charged with having, on the 5th day of May, 1892, in the baropyofCostello, parish of Kilbeagh, stolen a male ass, the property ot Luke Snee, of Barnacogue, which he sold at tbe narket ot Kiltemagh on 5th inst.; theass has been recovered :— Gray eyes, ordinary nose, dark- complexion, regular face, medium make, 6 ftet 8 or 9 inches bigb, about 19 years of age, dark hair; wore a dark brown sack coat, dark striped trowsers, and dark brown vest; is a labourer. Description of PATRICK MURPHY ( mother's surname Moran, native of Birr, King's County), native of Ballycapple, Cloughjordan, who stands charged with having, on tho 17th March, 1892, at Bantis, in the barony of Upper Ormond, parish ot Ballygibbon, committed a rapo on Ellen Guilfoyle, aged 75 years:— Round shoulders, shaves all his face except small side whiskers which are ssndy, gray eyes, rather flat note, fresh complexion, bread face, stout make, 5 feet 9 inches tigh, about 32 years of agr. brown hair; wore a slouched black hat, blue tweed coat, trowsers, and vest,; is a farmer's son; will likely endeavour to emigrate. Description of RICHARD ENGLISH ( mother's surname Carey), native of Carrowkeale, who stands charged with having, on the 23rd of July, 1886, in the barony of Kilnamanagh Lower, parish of Donohill, seriously sssanlted one James Gleeson, by striking him with a stone, from the effects of which he died after- wards :— Cut- mark on back of head, high cheek bones, brown moustache and side whiskers as far down as ears, long neck, gray eyes, long nose, fresh complexion, thin . face, active make, 5 feet 10 inches high, about 25 or 26 years of age, dark brown hair; wore a soft felt bat, gray tweed coat, trowsers, and vest; is a labourer. Description of a MAN, name and native place un- known, who stands charged with having, on the 12th March, 1892, in tbe barony of Clanwilliam, parish of Clonbeg, unlawfully entered the dwelling- house of Michael Halloran, Ballycrana, and stolen therefrom a coat, razor, and a scarf, all value for £ 1 7s. 6d., and 4s. in cash :— Wild looking, dark complexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 6 or 7 inches high, about 30 years of age; wore a cap, gray tweed coat, trowsers, and vest; bad tbe appearance of an Army Reserve man. ( 11148 c_ 92608) Tyrone, Description of JEREMIAH FINEGAN, alias WALTER FERGUSON, native of Stradone, county Cavan, who has been returned for trial on the charge of having, on the night of 29th or morning of 30th April, 1892, in the barony of West Omagb, parish of Skirts of Urney, broken into the Manse in connection with the 2nd Castlederg Presbyterian Church, and stolen therefrom 26 keys and a piece of marble:— Has a good address and appears to have got a good education; blue eyes, straight nose, fair complexion, regular face, medium make, 5 feet 6 or 7 inches high, about 60 years of age, sandy hair turning gray ; wore a brown tweed cap, old drab coat, dark tweed trowsers, and black vest; is a tramp. Description of HUGH KELLY, native of Fallagh, county Tyrone, who stands charged with having, on the night of 2nd February, 1892, in the barony of Strabane Upper, parish of Cappagh, attempted to rape Mary Donnelly, of Ballinamullen:— Dark eyes, regular nose, dark sallow complexion, long thin face, medium make, 6 feet high, about 45 year? of age, dark hair turning gray; wore a black cloth coat, dark tweed trowsers, and dark vest; is a small broken- down farmer and road contractor. This man was released from Maryboro' Prison on licence, 29th February, 1892, and emigrated. He recently returned, but up to tbe present ba? not re- ported himself to the Police, and his whereabouts iB unknown. In the event of his arrest he should be dealt with under sec. 5 of 34 and 35 Vic., cap. 112. 28 April, 1892. ( 471 B. C.) Particulars relative to Convict JOHN JAMES MORIARTY, o 75, convicted at the Dublin Com- mission Court, on 10th August, 1886, for embezzle- ment, and sentenced to 7 years' penal servitude:— 28 years of age on conviction, single, is a bank clerk, born at Dnblin, resided at Dublin before conviction, where his friends reside:— Brown hair, blue eyej, brown eyebrows, regular nose, small mouth, fair com- plexion, round vissge, stout mat e, 5 feet 9} inches high; burn- mark between right thumb and finger, lost an upper front tooth. This man was released on licence from Mount- joy Prison, 9th November, 1891, and went to reside at 23, Upper Temple- street, Dublin. He recently left his residence without notifying same to the Police, and bis present whereabouts SE unknown. KELLY, was born in tbe army, 34 years of age, 5 feet 9 inches bigh, fresh complexion, light brown bair, and light sandy moustache, gray eyes; wore a brown felt hat, drab dust- coat or blue Melton, with velvet collar, fashionable, new grayish plaid under- suit; stout build, 15 stone weight, and very erect. Warrant issued for his arrest. The above was for- merly a Lieutenant in the 24th Regiment of Foot, " Welsh Borderers."
