Description of JAMES DELANY, alias JAMES MAGUIRE, alias HUGH PRIM, native of Dublin, who s ands charged with having, on the 26th April, 1892, in the barony of South Salt, parish of Ki!- drought, been concerned in a burglary at St. Wol- stan's, Celbridge, see Hue- and- Cry, dated May 8rd, 1892:— Cut marks on forehead, wart on chin, right side of nose, corner of right eye, and on right chean ; hazel eyes, pale complexion, oval face, slight make, 5 feet 5 inches high, about 55 years of age, gray hair ; wore a round hard hat, dark tweed coat, corduroy trowsers, and dark tweed vest; is a labourer j shaved all his face recently. King's, Description of MARY KATE LYONS, native of Graigue, county Kilkenny, who stands charged with having, cn the 8th day of April, 1892, in the barony of Clonlisk, parish of Shinrone, obtained several email sums of money by false pretences while dressed as a nun, and falsely representing herself as a Sister of Charity r-— Wants some front teeth in upper and lower jaw, gray eyes, regular nose, fresh complexion, round full fat face, medium make, 5 feet 3 inches higb, about 50 years of age, gray hair ; dressed like a nun This woman has been returned for trial at Birr Quarter Sessions to be held on 24th May, 1892, and may have committed crime elsewhere. Description cf A MAN, name end native place unknown, who stands charged with having, on the 4th day of April, 1882, in the barony of Ballybritt, parish of Birr, stolen a watch and £ 2 from Joseph Lewis of Parsonstown :— Fair complexion, fair face, medium make, 6 feet 6 or 7 inches high, about 20 years of age, fair hair; wore a pepper- and- salt colour tweed cap with ear flaps, tweed coat, trowsers, and vest; is a tramp; looks like a discharged soldier; will likely enlist. Particulars of CHARLES ROUND, of Lord- street, Liverpool, who was convicted on 1st March, of having, on 20th October, 1891, obtained, by false pretences, a sum of money from Edward Hurst, pro- vision dealer, Parsonstown, and sentenced to 18 months' imprisonment, as it is believed he has also defrauded numbers of traders throughout the country, it is requested that the Police will cause the necessary inquiries to be made amongst small dealers in earthen- ware and otherB. He represented himself to be a commission agent for various pottery firms in England, and also traded as the " Staffordshire Earthenware and Hardware Company," a firm which exists in came only, and on receipt of money fails to forward the goods. In some instances where the orders were for small amounts, he forwarded the goods for the purpose, presumably, of getting larger orders. Longford, Description of PATRICK SMITH, native of Killeen, who stands charged with having, on the 19th April, 1892, in the barony of Granard, parish of Granard, dangerously assaulted Robert M'Carty, whereby ono of his legs was broken:— Walks erect, wears sll his beard which is dark brown; proa inent wild eyes, small cocked nose, dark complexion, oval face, slight make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 26 years of age, dark brown hair; dark brown tweed coat, corduroy trowsers, dark brown vest; is a farm servant. Description of RICHARD ENGLISH ( mother's surname Carey), native of Carrowkeale, who stands charged with having, on the 23rd of July, 1886, in the barony of Kilnamanagh lower, parish of Donohil), seriously assaulted one James Gleeson, by striking him with a stone, from the effects of which he died after- wards r— Cut- mark on back of head, high cheek bones, brown moustache and side whiskers as far down as ears, long neck, gray eyes, long nose, fresh complesion, tbin face, active make, 5 feet 10 inches high, about 25 or 26 years of age, dark bro wn hair; wore a soft felt hat, gray tweed coat, trowsers, and vest; is a labourer. Particulars relative to convict JAMES M'DON- NELL c 84, convicted at Dublin City Commission, on 28th October, 1886, for housebreaking and larceny, and sentenced to 7 years' penal servitude >- 35 years of age on conviction, married, is a labourer, born at Dublin, where he resided before conviction, and where his friends reside; dark hair, hazel eyes, dark brown eyebrows, small nose, small mouth, sallow complexion, round visage, medium make, 5 feet 4 inches high; cut on top of head, ruptured left side. This man was released from Maryboro' Prison on licence, 29th February, 1892, and emigrated. He recently returned, bot up to the present has not re- ported himself to the Police, and his whereabouts is unknown. In the event of his arrest he should be dealt with under sec. 5 of 34 and 35 Vic., cap. 112. 28 April, 1892. ( 471 h. C.) Particulars relative to Convict JOHN JAMES MORIARTY, o 75, convicted at the Dublin Com- mission Court, on 10th August, 1886, for embezzle- ment, and sentenced to 7 years'penal servitude:— 28 years of age on conviction, single, is a bank clerk, born at Dnblin, resided at Dublin before conviction, where his friends reside:— Brown hair, blue eyes, brown eyebrows, regular nose, small mouth, fair com- plexion, round visage, stout male, 5 feet 9$ inches high; burn- mark between right thumb and finger, lost an upper front tooth. This man was released on licence from Mount*, joy Prison, 9th November, 1891, and went to reside at 23, Upper Temple- street, Dublin. He recently left his residence without notifying same to the Polico, and hia present whereabouts is unknown. In the event of his arrest he should be dealt with tinder sec. 5 of the Act 34 and 35 Vic., cap. 112. 14th March, 1892. ( 464 H. C.) C.) Staffordshire. Wanted, for obtaining food and lodgings by false pretences, to the. value of £ 20:— THOMAS F. KELLY, was born in the army, 34 years of age, 5 *% t 9 inches high, fresh complexion, light brown hair, and light sandy moustache, gray eyes; wore a brown felt hat, drab dust- coat or blue Melton, with velvet collar, fashionable, new grayish plaid under- suit; stout build, 15 stone weight, ana very erect. Warrant issued for his arrest. The above was for- merly a Lieutenant in the 24th Regiment of Foot, " Welsh Borderers." It is said that ke is a personal friend of Lieutenant " Biddy" or " Middy," of the 6th Dragoon Guards, " Carbiniers," now stationed at Edinburgh ; frequents hotels, and pnshes himself upon military officers; talks much of his service in Burmah and in Egypt. On 9th ult. the accused received 124 packages of margarine on behalf of his lather, from a firm of Accountants in Leith, and disposed of them io Glasgow for £ 85 14j. Description of a silver cup, plate, and spoon, the property of Venerable Archdeacon James George Scott, which were stolen out of his house at Bray Great, parish of Bray, barony of Rathdown, on the night of the 8th or morning ot the 9th of April, 1892: — A small silver cup, or 4 inches high, nearly hemispherical on a hexagonal foot, and a knot on middle of upright, engraved with " I. H. 8." and other ornaments, gilt, but gilding was muoh worn; a silver plate, similar to foot or stand of cup, but 3 inches wider in diameter, the centre of it gilt, but gilding was much worn, engraved on it " I. H. S.;" a small silver spcon for administering Sacrament in extreme cases, 3 inches long, and a cross on the top of the handle.
