Description of DENIS HESSIAN ( mother's sur- name Hughes), native of Claregalway, who stands charged with having, on the night of the 27th cr morning of the 28th of February, 1892, in the barony of Galway, parish of St. Nicholas, stolen from the Naval Reserve Battery at Fairhill. near Galway. 22 rifles and 17 cutlasses :— Stoops a little when walking, rather a wide mouth, may have pimple on cose, and said to be freckled, dark eyes, regular nose, sallow complexion, long tfcin face, medium make, 5 feet 8 or 9 inches high, about 26 years of age, dark hair ; wore a black hard hat, frieze coat, twesd trowsers, tweed vest, also wore a sleeved white flanr el urdervest— a bawneen; was a herd, but can do general farm work; can read snl write well. Description of MARY KATE LYONS, native of Graigue, county Kilkenny, who stands charged with having, on the 8th day of April, 1892, in the barony of Uonlisk, parish of Shinrone, obtained several small sums of money by false pretences while dressed as a nun, and falsely representing herselt as a Sister of Charity:-— Wants some front teeth in upper and lower jaw, gray eyes, regular nose, fresh conplexion, round full fat face, medium make, 5 feet 3 inches high, about 50 years of age, gray hair ; dressed like a nun This woman has been returned for trial at Birr Quarter Sessions to be held on 24th May, 1892, and may have committed crime elsewhere. Description of A MAN, name and native place unknown, who stands charged with having, on the 4th day of April, 1892, in the barony of Ballybritt, parish of Birr, stolen a watch and £ 2 from Joseph Lewis of Parsonstown:— Fair complexion, fair face, medium make, 5 feet 6 or 7 inches high, about 20 years of age, fair hair; wore a pepper- and- salt colour tweed cap with ear flaps, tweed coat, trowsers and vest; is a tramp; looks like a discharged soldier; will likely enlist. Particulars of CHARLES ROUND, of Lord- street, Liverpool, who was convicted on 1st March, of having, on 20th October, 1891, obtained, by false pretences, a sum of money from Edward Hurst, pro- vision dealer, Parsonstown, and sentenced to 18 months' imprisonment, as it is believed he has also defrauded numbers of traders throughout the country, it is requested that the Police will cause the necessary inquiries to be made amongst small dealers in earthen- ware and others. He represented himsnlf to be a commission a< ent for various pottery firms in England, and also traded as the " Staffordshire Earthenware and Hardware Company," a firm which exists in name only, and on receipt of money fails to forward the goods. In some instances where the orders were for small amounts, he forwarded the goods for the purpose, presumably, of getting larger orders. Description of a MAN, name and native place un- known, who stands charged with having, on the 12th * « arcb, 1892, in the barony of Clanwilliam, parish of clonbeg, unlawfully entered the dwelling- house of Michael Halloran, Billycrana, and stolen therefrom a coat, razor, and a scarfj all value for £\ 7s. 6 A, and 4s. in cash :— Wild looking, dark complexion, round face, stout make, 5 fest 6 or 7 inches high, about 30 yeara of age; wore a cap, gray tweed coat, trowsers, and vest; had the appearand of an Army Reserve man. Description of RICHARD ENGLISH ( mother's surname Carey), native of Carrowkeale, who stands charged with having, on the 23rd of Jaly, 1886, in the barony of Kilnamanagh Lower, parish of Donohill, serbusly assaulted one James Gleeson, by striking him with a stone, from the effects of which he died after- wards :— Cut- mark on back of head, high cheek bones, brown moustache and side whiskers as far down as ears, long neck, gray eyes, long nose, fresh complexion, thin face, active make, 5 feet 10 inches high, about Tyrone. G Division. 1 Particulars relative to convict JAMES M'DON- NELL o 84, convicted at Dublin City Commission, on 28th October, 1886, for housebreaking and larceny, and sentenced to 7 years' penal servitude :— 35 years of age on conviction, married, is a labourer, born at Dublin, where he resided before conviction, and where lis friends reside; dark hair, hazel eyes, dark brown ey ebrows, small nose, small mouth, sallow complexion, round visage, medium make, 5 feet 4 inches high; cut on top of head, raptured left side. This man was l eleased from Marybcro' Prison on licence, 29th February, 1892, and emigrated. He recently returned, but up to the present has not re ported himself to the Police, and his whereabouts ia unknown. Wood and Company, Glass Merchants, 13, Brown- street, Anderston, of this city, in whose employment he was as traveller and collector of accounts:_ ALEXANDER M'CONNELL, 22 years of age, 5 feet 7 or 8 inches higb, slender made, dark reddish hair, face shaved, but may be growing a moustache, fresh complexion Dressed when be absconded, on 24th nit., in a black felt bat, light tweed short topcoat, tweed trows irs and vest. Resided with his mother at 14, Strone- terrace, Byar's- road, Glasgow. May endeavour to leave the country. Please cause diligent search and enquiry to be made at shipping offices, hotels, and all other likely places, and should the accused be got, arrest, and communicate with J.
