DE COBAIN, native of Belfast, who stands charged that he did, within the past two years, at Belfast, commit an act of gross indecency with another male person, and within the same time, and at the place aforesaid did incite divers other male persons to commit sodomy:— Walks erect, • quare shoulders, corpulent, contracts eyebrows when speaking, gray eyes, regular nose, pale complexion, fuN face, stout make, 5 feet 10 inches high, about 48 years of age, dark brown hair; wore a silk hat, black Chesterfield overcoat, black frock coat, dark trowsers, and dark vest. Description of a man, who states his name ifl SIMON CONNOLLY ( mother's surname Wholly), native of Gort, who stands charged with having, in the month of December, 1891, in the barony of Iverqgh, parish of Gleobeigh, stolen a coat from one John M'Carthy: — Tattooed cross ( partly erased) on inner tide of left forearm, looks as if it had been an anchor; band on left wrist, ring on middle finger of left hand, and marks of burns or sores on left fond, ears somewhat prominent; blue eyes, regular nose, sallow complexion; ong face, medium make, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 23 years of age, light brown hair, had a fair moustache, which he has since shaved off; sometimes wore a cap, at others a hat, tweed ooat, trowsers. and vest, which he has repeatedly changed; speaks Irish and English ; states he is a labourer, has worked as a tailor. Description of MARY KATE LYONS, native of Graigue, county Kilkenny, who stands charge 1 with having, on the 8th day of April, 1892, in the barony of clonlisk, parish of Shinrone, obtained several small sums of mone/ by false pratsnoas while drassel as a nun, and falsely representing herself as a Sister of Charity:— Wants some front teath in upper and lower jaw, gray eyes, regular nose, fresh complexion, rouad full fat face, medium make, 5 feet 3 inches high, about 50 years of a^ e, gray hair ; dressed like a nun. This woman has baan returned for trial at Birr Quarter Sessions to ba held on 24th May, 1892, and may have committed crime elsewhere. Description of A MAN, name and native place unknown, who stands charged With having, on the 4th day of April, 1892, in the barony of Ballybritt, parish of Birr, stolen a watch and £ t from Joseph Lewis of Parsonstown Fair complexion, fair face, medium make, 5 feet 6 or 7 inches high, 4> out 20 years of age, fair hair; wore a pepper- and- salt Colour tweed cap with ear flaps tweed coat, trowsers, « tad vest; is a tramp; looks like a discharged soldier; will likely ealist. Particulars of CHARLES ROUND, of Lord street, Liverpool, who was convicted on 1st March, of having, on 20th October, 1891, obtained, by false pretences, a sum of money from Edward Hurst, pro- vision dealer, Parsonstown, and sentenced to 18 - mentis' imprisonment, as it is believed be has also defrauded numbers of traders throughout the country, it is requested that the Police will cause the necessary inquiries to be made amongst small dealers in earthen- ware and others. He represented himself to be a commission a ^ ent for various pottery firms in England, and also traded as the " Staffordshire Earthenware and Hardware Company," a firm which exists in name only, and on receipt of money fails to forward tfce goods. In some instances where the ordert were for small amounts, he forwarded the goods for the purpose, presumably, of getting larger orders. Description of ELLEN MALONE, native p'ace unknown, who stands charged with having, on the nigbt of 10th or morning of 11th April, 1892. in ths barony of Ardee, parish of Manfieldstown, stden the sum of £ 207, or thereabouts, from the dwelling- house of Stephen Feehan:— Square shoulders, short neck, small ears, brown eyes, regular nose, fair complexion, oval face, stout make, 5 feet 2 inches hiijh, albout 25 years of age, dark hair; wore a fawn- coloured shawl, with a brown border, a brown stuff skirt ( much worn), dark straw hat, fiat shape, turned np at back, and elastic side boots ; is a maidservant. Tipperary- Description of PATRICK REARDON, rtid JAMES REARDON, natives of Gurteendevane, who stand charged with having, on the 16th March, 1892, at Ballyhane, in the barony of Kilnamanagh Upper, parish of Toem, seriously assaulted George Reardon, by striking him on the head with stones, fracturing his skull and placing his life in danger:— 1. Very good looking, newer shaved, no beard or whiskers; gray eyes, regular nose, fair complexion, round face, slight make, 5 fe » t 11 inches high, about 22 or 23 years of age, fair hair; wore a bright tweed cap, dark serge coat, bright tweed trowsers, and tweed vest; is a tailor. 2. Description of a MAN, name and native place un- known, who stands charged with having, on the 12th March, 1892, in the barony of Clanwilliam, parish of Clonbeg, unlawfully entered the dwelling- house of Michael Halloran, Ballycrana, and stolen therefrom a coat, razor, and a scarf, all valus for £ 1 Is. 6d., and 4s. in cash :— Wild looking, dark complexion, round face, stout make, 5 feat 6 or 7 inchse high, about 30 years of age; wore a cap, gray tweed coat, trowsers, and vest; had the appearance of an Army Reserve man. Particulars relative to Convict OWEN KEATING, 0 144, convicted at Dublin City Sessions, on 28th March, 1887, for housebreaking, and sentenced to 6 years' penal servitude:— 34 years of age on con- viction, married, is a tailor, born at Dublin, irtiere he resided before conviction; his friends reside at Kil- kenny :—. Dark brown hair turning gray, hfeel eyes, brown eyebrows, medium nose, small mouth, fresh complexion, oval visage, stout make, 5 feet inches high; cut- mark on npper lip and at corner of right eye, two cut- marks on right wrist. This man was released on licence from Maryboro' Prison, on 4th March, 1891, and went to reside at- Kilkenny. He left Londonderry ( where be had been serving in the Militia) on 2nd ulto. for Belfast, bat he has not reported himself at the latter place, and his present whereabouts is unknown. In the event of his arrest he should be dealt with under sec. 5 of the Act 34 and 35 Vic., cap. 112. 14tk March, 1892. ( 464 H. CJ Particulars relative to Convict JOHN JAMES MORIARTY, c 75, convicted at the Dublin Com^ mission Court, on 10th August, 1886, for embezzle- ment, and sentenced to 7 years' penal servitude:— 28 yean of age on conviction, single, is a bank clerk, born at Dublin, resided at Dublin before conviction, where his friands reside:— Brown hair, blue eyej, brown eyebrows, regular none, small mouth, fair com- Elexion, round visage, stout make, 5 feet inches igh; burn- mark between right thumb and finger, lost an upper front tooth. This man was released on licenoe from Meunt- oy Prison, 9th November, 1891, and went to reside at 23, Upper Temple- street, Dnblin. Wanted, under a Magistrate's Warrant, on a eharge of theft of a watch ( recovered) in the burgh of Buckie, Banffshire, between 3! st December, 1891, and 10th Feb., 1# 92, MATTHEW SEATON HARDY:— A. music teacher, native of Skene, Aberdeenshire, about 25 years of age, 5 feet 5 or 6 iocbes high, dark com- plexion, dark bushy curly hair, snail dark whiskers and moosjacbe, no beard, me< tum bald, wants a front tooth in upper jaw, one or more of tbe fingers of the left hand contracted ; dressed in dark single- breasted overcoat, gray tweed trowrers, a* har » felt hat, wore a pair of brown kid gloves, and curried • black- thorn cane. Hardy's father is employed at Garlogie Spinning Mill, skene, and residm in one of tbe cottages there, ana accused at one time conducted the psalmody in the parish church there. He is married, but, in con- sequence of his drunken habits, his wife is living apau from him with her father, at Garmoutb- on- Spey. He was in Lossiemouth on the 23rd Jandhry last, and in frairn on 25th February, going in tbe direction of Auldearn, but has not been heard of since. It is possible that this may be the person described in tbe Police intormati'jn from Res- nshire, dated 28th March . las*., and in tbe " Hue- snd- Cry " ot 1st inst. for ttasftMf of a Watch in Stirling. Wanted, on a Sheriff's Warrant, for perjury and fraudulent bankruptsy, PATRICK DOCHERTY, a money lender, from 35 to 40 yews of age, 5 feet 5 inches high, stout made, fresh complexion, bare faced except moustache, fair hair, out short and turning gray; usually dressed in a gray tweed jacket suit and felt hat; resided at one time at 496, Dobbie's Loan, of this city, bnt some time ago bought Artilow Farm, Longheske, county Donegal, Ireland, where be has since being residing. The accused was indicted on a charge of perjury and fraudulent bankruptcy, and wa « to have been tried at a Diet of the Sheriff and Jury Court, held in this city to- day, but failed to appear, and his bail bond was declared forfaited, and a Warrant granted for his arrest. He will probably endeavour to leave the country. Description of a silver cup, plate, and spoon, the property of Venerable Archdeacon James George Scott, which were stolen out of his house at Bray Great, parish of Bray, barony of Rathdown, on the night of the 8th or morning of the 9th of April, 1892: — A small silver cup, or 4 inches high, nearly hemispherical on a hexagonal fo A, and a knot on middle of upright, engraved with " I. H. S." and other ornaments, gilt, but gilding was much worn; a silver plate, similar to foot or stand of cup, bat 3 inches wider in diameter, tbe centre of it gilt, but gilding was much worn, engraved on it " L H. 8.;" a small silver spoon for administering Sacrament in extreme cases, 3 inches long, and a cross on the top of the handle.
