Description of the undernamed yonng offender, - who, on the* 13th Maroh, 1892, absconded from the Malone Reformatory School at Belfast:— JOHN COCHRANE, 16 years of age, dark hair, brown eyes, dark eyebrows, regular nose, fresh com- plexion, oval visage, stoat make, 4 feet 6 inches high, is a shoemaker, born at Dungannon, formerly belonged to Dnngannon, parents reside at Boyd- street, Belfast; bine mark on back of right hand, burn- mark below left ear on neck, two holes on left side chest ( tube attached). The school dress consists of:— Dark gray tweed jacket, brown corduroy trowsers, black tweed vest, Glengarry cap, blue and white stripe shirt, red and black check tie, Blacher boots, woollen stockings. The Manager of the Reformatory will defray the expenses of his conveyance, if arrested, to the nearest Justice, on remand, and will reward the person who may capture him with £ 1. 14th March, 1892. Description of MICHAEL RUSSELL, alias HOGAN, native place unknown, who stands charged with having, on the 21st day of January, 1892, at Portrush, in the barony of Lower Dunluce, parish of Ballywillan, fraudulently obtained from Miss Anna E. Oulton and Miss Jane R. Richardson the sum of 7*. 6< f. each, by means of false pretences >— Brown eyes, slightly aqailine nose, fresh complexion, rather long face, medium make, 5 feet 10 inches high, about 28 or 29 years of age, dark hair; wore a light check water- proof overcoat, dark tweed trowsers, dark blue vest; travels and represents himself as a piano tuner); sup- posed law clerk. DE COBAIN, native of Belfast, who stands charged that he did, within the past two years, at Belfast, commit an act of gross indecency with another male person, and within the same time, and at the place aforesaid did incite divers other male persons to ooramit sodomy Walks erect, sqnare shoulders, corpulent, contracts eyebrows when speaking, gray eyes, regular nose, pale completion, full face, stout make, 5 feet 10 inches high, about 48 years of age, dark brown hair; wore a silk hat, black Chesterfield overcoat, black frock coat, dark trowsers, and dark vest. Galway Description of DENIS HESSIAN ( mother's sur- name Hughes), native of Claregalway, who stands barged with having, on the night of tbe 27th or morning of the 28th of Febroary, 1892, in the barony of Galway, parish of St. Nicholas, stolen from ths Naval Reserve Battery at Fairhill, near Galway, 22 rifles and 17 cutlasses *— Stoops a little when walking, rather a wide mouth, may have pimple on nose, and said to be freckled, dark eyes, regular nose, sallow oomplexion, long tbin face, medium make, 5 feet 8 or 9 inches high, about 26 years of age, dark hair: wore a black bard hat, frieze coat, twesd trowsers, tweed vest, also wore a sleeved wbito flannel undervest— a bawneen; was a herd, but can do general farm work; can read an 1 write welL It is believed that he will try to get to England or America. Warrant issued. Galway, 4th April, 1892 ( 14246 c.— 99428.) Kerry. Description of a man, who states his name is SIMON CONNOLLY ( mother's surname Wholly), native of Gort, who stands charged with baring, in the month of December, 1891, in the barony of Iveragh, < parish of Glenbeigb, stolen a coat from one John M'Carthy:— Tattooed cross ( partly erased) on inner side of left forearm, looks as if it had been an anchor; band on left wrist, ring on middle finger of left hand, and marks of burns or sores on left hand, ears somewhat prominent; blue eyes, regHlar nose, sallow complexion'; long face, medium moke, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 23 years of age, light brown hair, had a fair moustache, which he has since shaved off; sometimes wore a cap, at others a hat, tweed coat, trowsers, and vest, which he has repeatedly changed; speaks Irish and English ; states he is a labourer, has worked as a tailor. He has been arrested, and is suspected of having com- mitted crime elsewhere. Dingle, 23rd February, 1892. ( 14174 o.— 98112.) Description of GEORGE RIPPINGALE, native of Tralee, who stands charged with having, on several dates within last three months, in the barony of Trughanacmy, parish of Tralee, embezzled various sums of money, amounting in all to £ 3 10*. 8d., the property of the Tralee Aerated Water Company Leans forward when walking, springs slightly on toes, old cut- mark naar one eye, dimple on chin; gray eyes, short nose, fresh complexion, round fat boyish face, stout make, 5 feet 8 inches high, about 20 years of age, fair hair, no whiskers, beard, or moustache ; wore a dark coat, trowsers, and vest; is a clerk. Woman, supposed to be ANASTASIA M'DON- NELL ( forging cheque), Hue- and- Cry, 12th January, 1892, not arrested. ( 12793 c— 95541.) King's. Particulars of CHARLES ROUND, of Lord- street, Liverpool, who was convicted on 1st March, of having, on 20th October, 1891, obtained, by false pretences, a sum of money from Edward Hurst, pro- vision dealer, Parsonstown, and sentenced to 18 monthia* imprisonment, as it is believed he has also defrauded numbers of traders throughout tbe country, it is requested that the Police will cause the necessary inquiries to be made amongst small dealers in earthen- ware and others. He represented himself to be a commission agent for various pottery firms in England, and also traded as the " Staffordshire Earthenware and Hardware Company," a firm which exists in name only, and on receipt of money fails to forward the goods. In some instances where the orders were for small amounts, he forwarded the goods for the purpose, presumably, of getting larger orders. Description of WILLIAM FOLEY, native of Kilmessan, who stands charged with having, during Eit four years, in the barony of Batoath, parish of toath, embezaled various sums of money, amounting to £ 18, received by him for his master, Laurence Canning:— Brown eyes, regular nose, fresh complexion, long face, alight make, 6 feet 5 inches high, about 25 years of age, brown hair; wore a round black hat, black lack coat, brown striped trowsers, brown vest; smart appearance; is a driver of a bread van. Description of G. B, MYERS alias W. BARON, native oi London, and A MAN unknown, supposed native of London, who stand charged with having, on the 5th February, 1892, in, the barony of Maryborough East, parish of Borris, obtained by false pretences a sum of £ 4 Is. from Mr. B. J. Henderson, provision dealer, Maryborough, representing themselves as sell- ing Stramonium Cigarettes, and appointing agents for the firm, B. Myers, Stramonium Cigarette Manufac- turers, 3A, Shandy street, Mile End- road, London, S., Which only exists in name. The London Police have received several complaints. They are travelling from town to town, and have committed several frauds. Tbe cigarettes are of no value:— 1. Long hands and fingers, full mouth, sandy moustache, speaks with an English accent; regular nose, fresh complexion, round face, stout make, about 5 feet 8 inches high, about 30 years of age, sandy or lair hair; wore a hard low bat, Melton top coat with " velvet collar, and light trowsers; represents himself aa a traveller. 2. Jewish appearance, slight dark moustache, daik brown eyes, regular nose, sallow complexion, round face, stout make, about 5 feet 5 inches high, about 30 years of aga, dark hair; wore a dark coat, trowsers, and ve « t; represents himself as a traveller. Those men take orders, deliver goods, appoint agents at gen- erally 10*. 6d. per month, undertaking to take bade goods unsold, and on these grounds get orders and receive moriey. Tipperary. Description of PATRICK REARDON, and JAMES REARDON, natives of Gurteendevane, who stand charged with having, on the 16th March, 1892, at Ballyhane, in tbe barony of Kilnamanagh Upper, parish of Toem, seriously assaulted George Reardon, by Btriking him on the head with stones, fracturing his skull and placing his life in danger:— 1. Very good looking, never shaved, DO beard or whiskers; gray eyes, regular nose, fair complexion, round face, slight make, 5 feet 11 inches high, about 22 or 23 years of age, fair hair; wore a bright tweed cap, dark serge coat, bright tweed trowsers, and tweed vest; is a tailor. 2. Very gocd looking, never shaved, no beard or whiskers; gray eyes, regular nose, fair complexion, regular face, stout make, 6 feet high, about 21 years of age, fair hair; wore a bright tweed cap, bright tweed coat, brown tweed trowsers, and tweed vest; is a farm labourer; is brother to No. 1. Description of a MAN, name and native place un- known, who stands charged with having, ou the 12th March, 1892, in the barony of Clanwilliam, parish of clonbeg, unlawfully entered the dwelling- house of Michael Halloran, Ballycrana, and stolen therefrom a coat, razor, and a scarf, all value for £ 1 7s. 6d., and 4s, in cash :— Wild looking, dark complexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 6 or 7 inches high, about 30 years of age; wore a cap, gray tweed coat, trowsers, and • est; bad the appearance of an Army Reserve man. Description of THOMAS KIELLY, native of Cutteen, who stands charged with having, on tbe 7th March, 1892, in the barony of Clanwilliam, parish of Solohedbeg, unlawfully assaulted one Morgan Ryan, at Newtown, thereby placing his life in danger:— Brown eyes, regular nose, fresh complexion, round face, medium make, 5 feet 11 inches high, about 27 or 28 yean of age, brown hair tinged with gray; wore a dark tweed coat, trowsers, and vest; is a farmer's SOD. Melady md Butler, charged with serious assault:— Mark of jecent severe wound on left aide of scalp ; blue or g » y eyes, regular nose, fresh com- plexion, medium n » ke, 5 feet 2 inches high, about 50 years of age, dark bair, bald on top of bead, sandy moustache ; wore an old bard black hat, old coat, old tweed trowaera and vest; was 16 years in the Militia or Army; addicted to drink and apt to be abusive when in liquor; is a tramp and vendor of blackthorn sticks; travels with his wife, a ( tout dark woman} has two children, said to be in Dublin. ( 12255 e.— 94555.) DUBLIN METROPOLITAN POLICE. 6 Division. Particulars relative to Convict OWEN KEATING, - o 144, convicted at Dublin City Sessions, on 28th March, 1887, for housebreaking, and sentenced to 5 years' penal servitude:— 84 years of aga on con- viction, married, is a tailor, born at Dublin, where he resided before conviction; his friends reside at Kil- kenny :-- Dark brown hair turning gray, hazel eyes, brown eyebrows, medium nose, small month, fresh complexion, oval visage, stout make, 5 feet 6J inches big I ; cut- mark on upper lip and at corner of right eye, two cut- marks on right wrist. Thia man was released on licence from Maryboro' Prison, on 4th March, 1891, and went to reside at Kilkenny. He left Londonderry ( where he had been serving in the Militia) on 2nd ulto. for Belfast, but he has not reported himself at the latter place, and his present whereabouts is unknown. In the event of his arrest he should be dealt with under sec. 5 of the Act 84 and 85 Vic., cap. 112. 14th March, 1892. ( 464 H. C.) Particulars relative to Convict JOHN JAMES MORIARTY, c 75, convicted at the Dublin Com- mission Court, on 10th August, 1886, for embezzle- ment, and sentenced to 7 years' penal servitude:— 28 years of age on conviction, single, is a bank clerk, born at Dublin, resided at Dublin before conviction, where his friends reside:— Brown hair, blue eyes, brown eyebrows, regular noBe, small mouth, fair com plexion, round visage, stout make, 5 feet 9£ inches high { bum- mark between right thumb and finger, lost an upper front tooth. This man was released on licence from Mount- oy Prison, 9th November, 1891. and went to reside at 23, Upper Tevplc- street, Dublin. He recently left bis residence without notifying same to the Police, and his present whereabouts is unknown. In the eveot of his arrest he should be dealt with under sec. 5 of the Act 34 and 35 Vic., oap. 112. 14th March, 1892. ( 464 H. C.) Description of JOHN SMITH, alias JOHN BRADY, alias HENRY BBADY, alias EDWARD LYNCH, who is charged with stealing an evercoat ( recovered) at Burton- on- Trent, and committed to Stafford Quarter Sessions:— No fixed place of residence, is a joiner, 70 years of age, 5 feet 4 inches high, fre$ h complexion, gray hair, light blue eyes, medium build, scar On top of forehoad, fourth left finger contracted; native of Balleyduff, county Cavan, Ireland; Unmarr^ d. Leeds Assizes, 2nd August, 1872; shopbre^' hg and sacrilege ; 18 months and 2 years' police suB^- vision. As John Smith.— Leeds Assizes, 27th November, 1875; burglary; 7 years' penal servitude. Mary- berough, Queen's County Assizes, 9th July, 1883; felony; 5 years' penal servitude. It is supposed that other recent convictions are recorded against this man, and that he is wanted for offences elsewhere. Information to Captain the Honorable G. A. ANSON, Chief Constable. Stafford, March 10th, 1892. ( 461 H. C.) Yorkshire. Wanted in Bradford, charged with stealing a large cumber of ladies' gold and silver watches during the night of the 17th March, 1892:— WILLIAM MANSELL, alias MICKEY, an Irishman, and a native of Dublin, about 30 years of age, 5 feet 2 inches high, light brown hair, clean shaved, hollow cheeks, shuffling gait, up in right shoulder, head inclined t » one side. Dressed in blue serge suit, black billycock hat, had in his possession the stolen property and two mackintoshes, one dark blue, the other light brown, the light brown has " Cox and Company, Newcastle," on hanger." This man has- been for tbe last five months at the Salvation Army Shelter in this borough, and was formerly at The Ark, Southwick- street, London, S. E., where he is well known to " Captain Robinson'' and Other army officers. Timlin left York on the 2nd of February last, and is supposed to have gone to Ireland. His parents belong to the west or south- west ol Ireland, and he is supposed to have relatives or friends still there, with whom he may be staying. PATRICK DOCHERTY, a money lender, from 35 to 40 years of age, 5 feet 5 inches high, stout made, * resh complexion, bare faced except mousacbe, fair hair, cut short and turning gray; usually dressed in a gray tweed jacket suit and felt hat; resided at one time at 496, Dobbie's Loan, of this city, but some time ago bought Artilow Farm, Lougheske, county Donegal, Ireland, where be has since being residing. The accused was indicted on a charge of perjury and fraudulent bankruptcy, and was to have been tried at a Diet of the Sheriff and Jury Court, held in this city to- day, but failed to appear, and his bail bond was declared forfeited, and a Warrant granted for his arrest.
