TIOSTI GfT All Notioes intended for insertion in the Hue- and- Ory are to be transmitted under cover, addressed to the Inspector- General, Royal Irish Constabulary, Dublin Oastle, authenticated by a Separate Communication. No Description can be inserted unles* an Information shall have been Sworn; but it is not necessary to forward the Informations to the Inspector- General. Notices respecting all Felonies and such Misdemeanours as are of an aggravated nature will be inserted. All Descriptions of persons whose apprehension is. sought on a charge of Misdemeanour should be aooompanied by a statement that a Warrant has been issued, wd by the name of the person in whose hands it is. But the Constabulary should remember that they eannot arrest a person charged with an offence of this nature unless they have the Warrant in their possession when making the arrest. ; Should irregularities arise in the delivery of the Hue- and- Ory, it will be necessary to forward one of the covers, or give the number it bears, as without this information the mistake cannot be rectified. Prison and Police Authorities are particularly requested to be good enough to inform the Inspector- General, Royal Irish Constabulary, Dublin Castle, of the abolition of Gaols, Stations, 4c., and of any circumstanoes rendering the supply of the u Hue- and- Cry " no longer necessary. Deicription of the undernamed young offender, who, on the 13th March, 1892, absconded from the Malone Reformatory School at Belfast:— JOHN GINGLES, 15 years of age, fair hair, light blue eyes, Meeting eyebrows, straight nose, small mouth, fair complexion, oval visage, elight make, 4 feet 10 inches high, is< a carpenter, boin at Liverpool* formerly belonged to Liverpool, parents rt tide at 20, Seymour- street, Belfast; small ec* r on left ch^ k.. Description of the undernamed young offender, who, on the 18th Merob, 1892, absconded from the Malone Reformatory School at Belfast:— JOHN COCHRANE, 16 years of age, dark hair, brown ayes, dark eyebrows, regular nose, fresh com- plexion, oval visage, stout make, 4 feet 6 inches high, is a shoemaker, born at Dunganaon, formerly belonged to Oungannon, parents reside at Boyd- Street, Belfast; blue mark on back of right hand, burn- mark below left ear on neck, two holes on left side chest ( tube attached). Description of MICHAEL RUSSELL, alias HOGAN, native place unknown, Who stands charged wjth having, cn the 21st day of January, 1892, at Portrush, in the barony of Lower Dunluce, parish of Balfywill » n, fraudulently obtained from Miss Anna E. Oulton and Miss Jane R. Richardson the sum of 7*. 6d. each, by means of false pretences:— Brown eyes, slightly aquiline nose, fresh complexion, rather long faca, nsedium make, 5 feet 10 inches high, about 28 or 29 yeare of age, dark hair: wore a light check watei- proof overcoat, dark tweed trowsers, dark blue vest; travels and represents himself as a piano tuner; sup- posed law clerk. DE COBAIN, native of Belfast, who stands charged that he did, within the past two years, at Belfast, commit an act of gross indecency with another male person, and within the same time, and at the place aforesaid did incite divers other male persons to commit sodomy:— Walks erect, tqoare shoulders, corpulent, contracts eyebrows when speaking, gray eyes, regular nose, pale complexion, full face, stout make, 5 feet 10 indies high, abont 48 / ears of age, dark brown hair; wore a silk hat, black Chesterfield overcoat, black frock coat, dark trowsers, and dark vest. Description of TIMOTHY RIORDAN ( mother's surname Twomey), native of Shanakeel, county Cork, and JOHN DOODY ( mother's surname Murphy), 4 native of Kilboultra, county Cork, who stand charged with having, on or about tio SeWpne, 1891, in the barony of West Musketry, parish, of Macroom, wilfully conspired, confederated, and agreed to murder one Jeremiah Riordan, of Shanakeel:— 1. Square shoulders, rather short neck, gray eyes, regular nose, fresh complexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 7 or 8 inches high, about 32 years of age, dark hair; wore a round felt hat, black frock coat, striped gray trowsers, black vest; is q farmer. Warrant for arrest in the hands of the District Inspector B. I. C., Maoroom. 2. Boyish appearance, gray eyes, rather thick nose, fresh complexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 7 or 8 inches high, about 22 years of age, dark hair; wore a soft black hat, gray tweed coat, trowsers, and vest; is a farmer's son. Description of SAMUEL CROSBIE ( mother's surname Johnson), native of Birmingham, who has been arrested cn the 10th March, 1892, at Yongtal, in the barony of Imokilly, parish of St. Mary's, and remanded on the charge of vagrancy:— Mark ol sore under right ear, gray eyes, regnlar nose, pale com- plexion, thin face, slight make, 5 teet 6£ inches high, about 22 years of age, dark brown hair; word a blue serge coat and vest, black serge trowsers, and an old enuff- colout ed dust coat; is a clerk. He is suspected of having committed crime elsewhere, several pawn tickets for jewellery, & c., having been found in his possession. Youghal, 12th March, 1892. ( 14480 c— 98691.) Description of REDMOND RONAYNE POWER, native of Waterford, who stands charged with having, in the barony of East Division of West Carbery, parish of Creagh, embezzled a large sum of money, including in particular a sum of £ 43, lodged with him in the Skibbereen Branch of the Munster and Leinster Banking Company, Limited, on or about the 32nd October, 1891:— Black drooping moustache; brown ejres, regular nose, pale complexion, regular face, active medium make, 6' feet high, about 35 years of age, black hair; wore a round black hat, Down. Description of GEORGE RIPPINGALE, native of Tralee, who stands charged with having, on several dates within last three months, in the barony of Trughanacmy, parish of Tralee, embezzled various sums of money, amounting in all to £ 3 10s. 8d , the property of the Tralee Aerated Water Company:— Leans forward when walking, springs slightly on toes, old cut- mark near one eye, dimple on chin; gray eyes, short nose, fresh complexion, round fat boyish face, stout make, 5 feet 8 inches higb, about 20 years of age, fair hair, no whiskers, beard, or moustache ; wore a dark coat, trowserf, and vest; is a clerk. Particulars of CHARLES ROUND, of Lord, street, Liverpool, who was convicted on 1st March, of having, on 20th October, 1891, obtained, by false pretences, a sum of money from Edward Hurst, pro- vision dealer, Parsonstown, and sentenced to 18 montl s>* imprisonment, as it u believed ha has also defrauded numbers of traders throughout the country, it is requested that the Police will cause the necessary inquiries to ta made amongst small dealers in earthee- ware and others. He represented himself to be a crm mission a^ ent for various psttiry firms ia England, • n^ also mded as the " Staffordshire Earthenware and Hardware Company," a firm which exists in name only, and on receipt of money fails to forward the goods. In some instances where the orders were for small amounts, he forwarded the goods for the purpose, presumably, of getting larger orders. Description of GEORGE MORRISSON, who stands charged with having, in the month of July, 1* 91, in the barony or carra, parish of Aglish, embezzled the sum of £ 100, the property of bis employer, William Levingstone, Esquire, Westport: Slope shoulders, bends forward when walking, long upper lip, shaved full face, dark moustache; br> wn eyes, dark complexion, long face, slight make, 5 feet 11 inches high, about 30 years of age; is a commercial cleik. Description rf THOMAS O'HARA ( mother's sur- name Taylor), native of Carrantemple, district of Ballymote, county Sligo, who stands charged with having, on tie 1st day of February, 1892, in the barony of Costelloe, parish of Kilcolman, seriously assaulted James Convee, at Ballaghadereen, by kick- ing him cm ihe head, thereby placing his life in danger; gray ejes, rather long nose, sandy complexion, rather long face, stout, active make, 5 feet 7 or 8 inches high, about 22 yearn of age, sandy hair; wears sandy moustache, shaves all the lace; wore a light tweed c0 « t » trowsers, and vest; is a farmer's son. BARON, native ot London, and A MAN unknown, supposed native of London, who stand charged with having, on the 5th February, 1892, in the barony of Maryborough East, parish of Borris, obtained by false pretences a sum of £ 4 1*. from Mr. R. J. Henderson, provision dealer, Maryborough, representing themselves as sell- ing Stramonium Cigarettes, and appointing agents for the firm, B. Myers, Stramonium Cigarette Manufac- turers, 3A, Shandy street, Mile End- road, London, S., which only exists in name. The London Police have received several complaints. They are travelling from town to town, and have committed several frauds. The cigarettes are of no value:— 1. Long hands and fingers, full mouth, sandy moustache, speaks with an English accent; regular nose, fresh complexion, round face, stout make, about 5 feet 8 inches high, about 30 years of age, sandy or fair hair; wore a hard low hat, Melton top coat with velxfl^ ol^ ar, and light trowsers; represents himself • appearance, slight dark moustache, dark _ i, regular nose, sallow complexion, round obout make, about 5 feet 5 inches high, about years of age, dark hair; wore a dark coat, trowsers, id vest; represents himself as a traveller. Those men take orders, deliver goods, appoint agents at gen - erally 10*. 6d. per month, undertaking to take back goods unsold, and on these grounds get orders and receive money. Description of THOMAS KIELLY, native of Cutteen, who stands charged with having, on the 7th March, 1892, in the barony of Clanwilliam, parish of Solohedbeg, unlawfully assaulted one Morgan Ryan, at Newtown, thereby placing his life in danger;— Brown eves, regular nose, fresh complexion, round face, medium make, 5 feet 11 inches high, about 27 or 28 years of age, brown hair tinged * ith gray; were a dark tweed coat, trowsers, and vest; is a farmer's 85". Description of JAMES BOURKE, native of C6r- bally, Neosgh, who stands charged with having, on the 10th March, 1S92, in the btrony of Owney and Ana, parish of Castletown Arra, embezzled £ 3 lj. 9d, the property of bis employer, James Lally:— Lsiige scar on left cheek, extending from the eye, caatel by kick of a horse; gray eyes, regular nosa, pale com- plexion, thin face, slight make, 5 feet 5 inches high, about 17 years of age, brown hair; wore a cap, light tweed coat, and corduroy trowsers j is a la Dourer. THOMAS CASHEL ( stealing postal order), Hue and- Cry, 16th February, 1892 not arrested. ( 12255 c.— 94555.) DUBLIN METROPOLITAN POLICE, G Division. Particulars relative to Convict OWEN KEATING, 0 144, convicted at Dublia Ci'y Sessions, on 28th March, 1887, for housebreaking, and sentenced to 5 years' penal servitude:— 34 years of age on con- viction, married, is a tailor, horn at Dublin, where he resided before conviction; bis friends reeide at Kil- kenny :— Dark brown hair turning gray, hazel eyes, brown eyebrows, medium nose, small month, fresh complexion, oval visage, stcut make, 5 feet 6J inches high j cut- mark on upper lip and at oorner of right eye, two cut- marks on right wrist. This man was released on licence from Maryboro Prison, on 4th March, 1891, and went to reside at Kilkenny. He left Londonderry ( where he had been serving in Ihe Militia) on 2nd uito. for Belfast, but he has not reported himself at the latter plaoe, and his present whereabouts is unknown. In the event of his arrest he should be dealt with under sec. 5 of the Act 34 and 35 Vic., cap. 112. 14th March, 1892. ( 464 H. C.) Particulars relative to Convict JOHN JAMES MORIARTY, 0 75, convicted at the Dublin Com- mission Court, on 10th August, 18f 6, for embezzle- ment, and sentenced to 7 years'penal servitude:— 28 years of age on conviction, single, is a back clerk, born at Dublin, resided at Dublin before conviction, where his friands retide:— Brown hair, blue ejoj, brown eyebrow?, regular nose, small mouth, fair com- plexion, round visage, stout male, 6 feet inctes high; burn- mark between ri^ Lt thumb and finger, lost an upper front tooth. This man was released on licence from Mount- oy Prison, 9th November, 1891, and went to reside at 23, Upper Temple- street, Dnblin. He recently left his residence without notifying same to the Police, and his present whereabouts is unknown. Description of JOHN SMITH, alias JOHN BRADY, alias HENRY BRADY, alias EDWARD 1YNCH, who i" charged - with sieab'ng on overcoat ( recovered) at Burton- on- Trent, 8nd committed to Stafford Quarter Sessions:— No fixed nlace of residence, is a joiner, 70 years of age, 5 feet 4 inches high, fresh complexion, gray hair, light blue eyes, medium build, • car on t^ p of forehead, fourth left finger contracted; native of Balleyduff, county Cavan, Ireland; unmarried. Pmions convictions;— As Henry Brady.— Salford Quarter Sessions, April, 1871; office breaking and stealing tools; 9 months' lard labour. Leeds Assizes, 2nd August, 1872; shopbreaking and sacrilege; 18 months and 2 yeais' police supervision. As John Smith.— Leeds Assizes, 27th November, 1875; burglary; 7 yetr/ penal servitude. Mary- borough, Queen's County Assizes, 9th July, 1883; felony; 6 yeats' penal servitude. It is supposed that other recent convictions are recorded against this man, and that he is wanted lor offenews elsewhere. Yorkshire. Timlin left York on the 2nd of February last, and is supposed to have gme to Ireland. His parents belong to the west or s uth- west ot Iriland, and he is supposed to have relatives or friends still there, with whom he may be staying. Wanted, on a Sheriff's Warrant, for perjury and fraudulent bankruptcy PATRICK DOCHERTY, a money lender, from 35 tj 40 years of age, 5 ieat 5 inches high, stout made, ires a complexion, bare faced except mous ache, fair hair, cut short and turning gray; usually dretsed in a gray tweed jacket suit and felt hat; resided at one time at 496, Dobbie's Loan, of this city, bat some time ago bought Artilow Farm, Loogheske, county Donegal, Ireland, where be has since being residing. The accnsed was indicted on a charge of perjury and fraudulent bankruptcy, and was to have been tried at a Diet of the hhoi iff and Jury Court, held in this city to day, but failed to appear, and his bail bond was declared forfeited, and a Warrant granted for his arrest. He will probably endeavour to leave the country. Absconded yesterday. Please cause diligent search and enquiry to be made at hotels, shipping ef& ces, and other likely places, and if accused is got, arrest, and communicate with J. Boyd, Chief Constable oi Glasgow.
