ST All Notioes intended for insertion in the Hue- and- Ory are to be transmitted under cover, addressed to the Inspector- General, Royal Irish Constabulary, Dublin Castle, authenticated by a Separate Communication. No Description can be inserted unless an Information shall have been Sworn; but it is not necessary to forward the Informations to the Inspector- General. Notices respecting all Felonies and such Misdemeanours as are of an aggravated nature will be inserted. All Descriptions of persons whose apprehension is sought on a charged Misdemeanour should be accompanied by a statement that a Warrant has been issued, and by the name of the' person in whose hands it is. But the Constabulary should remember that they cannot arrest a person charged with an ( jffenee of thia nature unless they hove the " Warrant in their possession when making the arrest. %• Should irregularities arise in the delivery of the Hue- and- Cry, it will be necessary to forward one of the covers, or give the number it bears, as without thla information the mistake cannot be rectified. Prison and Police Authorities are particularly requested to be good enough to inform the Inspector- General, Royal Irish Constabulary, Dublin Castle, of the Abolition of Gaols, Stations, 4c., and of any circumstahoes rendering the supply of the " Hue- and- Cry" no longer necessary. Description of MICHAEL RUSSELL, alias HOGAN, native place unknown, who stands charged with baving„. on the 21st day oi January, 1892, at Portrush, in tbe barony of Lower Dunluce, parish of Ballywillan, fraudulently obtained from Miss Anna E. Onlton and Miss Jane R. Description of JAMES WALSH, supposed native of Tipperary, who stands charged with having, on the 8th day oi February, 1892, in the barony of Connell, parish of Morristownbiller, obtained a cheque for £ 9 f*. 4d.. by false pretences, which he subsequently converted to his own use, from Mr. Shore, contractor, at Newbridge:— Walks with a slight halt in right leg, shaves chin and upper lip; gray eyea, thick nose, redish complexion, stout make, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 40 years of age; is a tramp labourer; served in army. Particulars of CHARLES ROUND, of Lord- street, Liverpool, who stands charged on remand with having, on 20th October, 1891, obtained, by false pretences, a sum of money from Edward Hurst, pro- vision dealer, Parsonetown. Round is now in custody, and as it is believed he has also defrauded numbers of traders throughout the country, it is requested that the Police will cause the necessary inquiries to be made amongst small dealers in earthenware and others. He represents himself to be a commission agent tor various pottery firms in England, and also trades as the " Staffordshire Earthenware and Hardware Com- pany," a firm which exists in name only, and on receipt of money fails to forward the goods. In some instances where the orders were for small amounts, he has forwarded the goods for the purpose, presum- ably, of getting larger orders. BARON, native of London, and A MAN unknown, supposed native of London, who stand charged with having, on the 5th February, 1892, in the barony of Maryborough East, perish of Borris, obtained by false pretences a sum of £ 4 Is. from Mr. R. J. Henderson, provision dealer, Maryborough, representing themselves as sell- ing Stramonium Cigarettes, and appointing agents for the firm, B. Myers, Stramonium Cigarette Manufac- turers, 3A, Shandy street, Mile End- road, London, S., which only exists in name. The London Police have received several complaints. They are travelling from town to town, and have committed saveral frauds. The cigarettes are of no value:— 1. Long hands and fingers, full mouth, sandy moustache, speaks with an English accent; regular nose, fresh complexion, round face, stent nuke, about 5 feet 8 inches high, pbout 30 years of age, s « idy or fair hair; wore a htrd low hat, Melton top coat with velvet collar, and light trowsers; represents himself as a traveller. 2. Jewish appearance, slight dsrk moustache, dark brown eyeF, regular r ose, sallow complexion, round fsce, stout make, about 5 feet 5 Inches high, about 30 years of age, dark hair; wore a dtrk coat trowsers, and vest; represents himself as a traveller. Those men take orders, deliver " goods, appoint agents at gen- erally 10*. 6d. per month, undertaking to take back goods unsold, and on these grounds get orders and receive money. Particulars relative to Convict THOMAS NASH, convicted at Chelmsford, Essex, at the Quarter Sessions, on the 19th October, 1887, for fraud, and sentenced to 5 years' penal servitude and 3 years' police super- vision :— 45 years of age on conviction, is a labourer, born in Middlesex; no fixed residence; brown hair, blue eyes, fair eyebrows, regular nose, medium mouth, fresh complexion, oval visage, proportionate make, 5 feet 3 inches high; scar on left arm. This man was released from Pentonville prison on licence, 29th October, 1891. He notified to the Dublin Metropolitan Police on 26th ult. that he was going to Cork, but he has not reported himself there, and his present whereabouts is unknown. In the event of his arrest he should be dealt with under sec. 5 of 84 and 35 Vic., cap. 112. 21st January, 1892. ( 451 H. C.) Lancashire. Wanted, in this city, for stealing £ 196 19*, in notes and gold, on the 24th instant — JOSEPH POLOYDOR NODDER, clerk, 23 years of age, 5 feet 6 or 7 inches in height, stout build, brown hair, slight brown moustache, full face, a few red pimples on face near nose, sallow complexion, sleepy appear- ance ; dressed when last seen on the £ 8rd instant in black worsted suit, morning coat, white shirt and collar, black bow, button boots, black hard felt hat. The stolen notes are described below:— Four £ 50 notes, dated Liverpool, 18th March, 1890, Ncs. 2C964, 20965, 20966, and 20761; three £ 20 notes, dated Liverpool, 20th March, 1890, Nos. 960f> 7, 93* 36, and < 5252; four £ 10 note., dated 23rd April, 1890, Liverpool, Nos. 97698 to 97701; eight £ 5 notes, dated Liverpool, 10th Morcb, 1891, NOB. 79155 to 79162. Please cause careful inquiry to be made, and communicate with GEORGE WILLIAMS, Chief Superintendent. Detective Department, Liverpool, February f5th, 1892. ( 459 H. C.) Wanted, for forging and uttering two Post Office Orders, about 2 p. m., on the 27th instant, a man who gave his name as THOMAS DILLON or DICKENS:— Spoke with an Irish accent, about 35 years of age, 5 feet 10 or 11 inches high, dark com- plexion, darkbairand small side whiskers, long features; dressed in a shabby daik brown Chesterfield overcoat, black felt hat, white cashmere muffler, and dark trowsers; on another occasion he wore a shabby brown tweed suit. On the 26th instant he obtuined two Post Office Orders for 1*. each, at a Branch Post Office, payable to William Gardner at Bradford, and Walter Dudley at Northampton; when presented they had each been altered to £ 5, payable at Liverpool. He purchased a black Inverness macintosh, with a velvet collar ( which he may wear), for 30*., at a large out- fitters, and got both Orders cashed at the shop where the purchase was made. Kindly cause every possible enquiry to be made; warn shopkeepers; and if met with arrest and wire, or forward any information to GEORGE WILLIAMS, Chief Superintendent Detective Department, Liverpool, 29th January, 1892. WALTER CRESSY HALL, wanted on Warrrant, for fraud, at Hove, on 9th January, 1892:— About 50 years of age, about 6 feet 1 or 2 inches high, dark hair, bald, florid com- plexion, stout figure, dark brown moustache; wore a black flat crown Oxford hat, brown overcoat; gave an address 5, Park- place, London, S. A ccused was this morning handed two cheques, each for £ 3^, in his employers' premises as above, in order to get them cashed, which he did anc' immediately afterwards absconded. Will probably endeavour to leave the country. Description of cattle, the property of Cornelius Cremin pound keeper, of said county, which were stolen from the pound in Kenmare, parish of Kenmare, barony of Glanarought, on the evening of the 18th February, 1892 - Seven Kerry cows and two heifers, all of a common mcuntainy breed, in poor condition^ one cow in calf, all black, 4 years old, the remainder black with white stripes across back, the heifers 2} yeari old. Description of a brooch and watch, the property of Mrs. Fitzgerald Kenny, which were stolen from her dwellinghouse at Clogher, parish of Drum, and county of Mayo, between 31st July, 1891, and 14th January, 1892, by some person or parsona at present unknown:— 1. A white pearl brooch, with a purple stone ( amethyst) set in centre; value £ 40. A reward of £ 5 will be given for its recovery. 2. A French watch, set at the back with imitation rubies and pearls, also a row of pearls round the dial, four or five of which were missing, the keyhole for winding the watch was on the dial.
