Jdsil in! v { . s All Descriptions of persons whose apprehension is sought 6ft a charge of Misdemeanour should be accompanied by a statement that a Warrant has been issued, ind by the iiarne of the person in whose hands it is. But the Constabulary should remember that they cannot arrest a person charged with an offence of this nature unless they have the Warrant in their possession when making the arrest. t Should irregularities- arise in the delivery of the Hue- and- Cry, it will be necessary to forward one of the covers, or give the number it bears, as without thia Information the mistake cannot be rectified. Prison and Police Authorities are particularly requested to be good enough to inform the Inspector- General, Royal Irish Constabulary, Dublin Castle, of the abolition of Gaols, Stations, dtc., and of any circumstances rendering the supply of the " Hue- and- Cry " no longer necessary. They are travelling from town to town, and have committed several frauds. The cigarettes are of no value :— !. Long bends and fingers, full mouth, sandy moustache, speaks with an English accent; regular nose, fresh complexion, round face, stout make, about 5 feet 8. inches high, about 30 years of age, sandy or fair baif; wore a herd low bat, Melton top coat with velvet collar, and light trowseis; represents himself as a traveller. 2. Those men take orders, deliver poods, appoint agents at gen- erally 10 » . fd. per month, undertaking to take back goods unsold, and on these grounds get Orders and receive money. Licensed Convict WILLIAM MURRAY, Hue- and- Qry, 29thwSept., has not been arrested. ( 416 H. C.) ENGLISH POLICE. Essex. Particulars relative to Convict THOMAS NASH, convicted at Chelmsford, Essex, at the Quarter Sessions, on the 19th October, 1887, for fraud, and sentenced to 5 years' penal servitude and 3 years' police super- vision >- 45 years of age on conviction, is a labourer, born in Middlesex; no fixed residence; brown hair, blue eyes, fair eyebrows, regular nose, medium mouth, fresh complexion, oval visage, proportionate make, 5 feet 3 inches high; scar on left arm. This man was released from Pentonville Prison on licence, 29th October, 1891. He notified to the Dublin Metropolitan Police on 26th nit. that he was going to Cork, but he bas not reported himself there, and his present whereabouts is unknown. In the event of his arrest he should be dealt with under sec. 5 of 84 and 35 Vie., cap. 11 P. 21st January, 1892. ( 451 H. C.) Lancashire. Wanted, for forging and uttering two Post Office Orders, about 2 p. m., on the 27th instant, a man who gave his name as THOMAS DILLON or DICKENS:— Spoke with an Irish accent, about 35 years of age, 5 feet 10 or 11 inches high, dark com- plexion, dark hair and small side whiskers, long features; dressed in a shabby dark brown Chesterfield overcoat, black felt hat, white cashmere muffler, and dark trowsers; on another occasion he wore a shabby brown tweed suit. On tie 26th instant he obtained two Post Office Orders for 1*. each, at a Branch Post Office, payable to Wiilhm Gardner at Bradford, and Walter Dudley at Northampton; when presorted they had each been altered to £ 5, payable at Liverpool. He purchased a black Inverness macintosh, with a velvet collar ( which he may wear), for 80*., at a large out- fitters, and got both Orders cashed at the shop where the purchase was made. Kindly cause every possible enquiry to be made; warn shopkeepers; and if met with arrest and wire, or forward any information to GEORGE WILLIAMS, Chief Superintendent. WALTER CRESSY HALL, wanted on Warrrant, for fraud, at Hove, on 9th January, 1892:— About 50 years of age, about 6 feet 1 or 2 inches high, dark hair, bald, florid com- plexion, stout figure, dark brown mouBtache; wore a black flat crown Oxford hat, brown overcoat; gave an address 5, Park- place, london S. Description of HERBERT CECIL STOCKS, native of leeds, wanted for stealing £ 135 on tbe 13th instant:— Respectable appearance, was employed as a clerk cr cashier; 24 jears of age ( looks younger), 5 feet high, light complexion, light hair, no whiskers or moustache; dressed when last feen in a light small check jacket suit; had in his possession a large light brown Gladstone bag, quite new. Wanted for stealing the above sum, the properly of the Albion Albumenizirg Company, 96, Bath- street, of this city, in whose employment he was as Clerk, JAMES HENDERSON:— About 18 years of age, low set, stout made, short legs, dai k hair, no whiskers or moustache, walks with short quick steps, and usually keeps his hands in his pockets when walking; ( supposed) dressed in a dark jacket suit, dark brown overcoat and black lelt hat; resided at 91, Gloucester- street, of this city. Accused was this morning banded two cheques, each for £ 3'>,- in his employers' premises as above, in order to get tbem cashed, which he did ant. immediately afterwards absconded. Will probably endeavour to leave the country. Description of cattle, the property of Cornelius Cremin. pound keeper, of said county, which were stolen from the pound in Kenmare, parish of Kenmare barony of Glanarought, on the evening of the 18th February, 1892 Seven Kerry cows and two heifers all of a common mcuntainy breed, in poor condition, one cow in calf, ell black, 4 years old, the remainder black with white stripes across back, the heifers 2$ year* old. Mayo. + Description of a brooch and watch, the property of Mrs. Fitzgerald Kenny, which were stolen from her dwellinghouse at Clogher, parish of Drum, and county of Mayo, between 31st Jnly, 1891, and 14th January, 1892, by some person or persona at present unknown:— 1. A white pearl brooch, with a purple st « ne ( amethyst) set in centre; value £ 40. A reward of £ 5 will be given for its recovery. 2. A French watch, set at iho back with imitation rubies and pearls, also a row of pearls round the dial, four or five of which were missing, the keyhole tor winding tbe watch was on the dial. A reward of £ l will be gi « en for its recovery. It is supposed these articles wf re pawned either in tbe country or in Dublin city or snburbs. Informa- tion to be given to District Inspector, R. I.
