TIOARB. tgr All Notices intended for insertion in the Hue- and- Ory are to be transmitted under cover, addressed to the Inspector- General, Royal Irish Constabulary, Dublin Castle, authenticated,• by a Separate Communication. No Description can be inserted unless an Information shall have been Sworn ; but it ia not necessary to forward the Informations to the Inspector- General. Notices respecting all Felonies and such Misdemeanours as are of an aggravated nature will be inserted. All Descriptions of persons whose apprehension is sought on a charge of Misdemeanour should be accompanied by a statement that a Warrant has been issued; ind by the name of the person in whose hands it is. But the Constabulary should remember that they cannot arrest a person charged with an offence of this nature unless they have the Warrant in their possession when making fie arrest. %• Should irregularities arise in the delivery of the Hue- and- Ory, it will be necessary to forward one of the covers, or give tbe number it bears, as without this Information the mistake cannot be rectified. Prison and Police Authorities are particularly requested to be good enough to inform the Inspector- General, Royal Irish Constabulary, Dublin Castle, of the abolition of Gaols, Stations, < fcc., and of any circumstances rendering the supply of the " Hue- and- Cry " no longer necessary. Oulton and Miss Jane R. Description of a man, who states hii name is SIMON CONNOLLY ( mother's surname Wholly), native of Gort, who stands charged wifi having, in the month of December, 1891, ia the barony of Iveragb, parish of Glenbeigh, stolen a caat from one John M'Carthy:— Tattooed cross on inner side of left forearm, band on left wrist, ring on middle fingar, and marks of burns or sores on left band, ears somewhat prominent; blue eyes, regular nose, sallow complexion, long face, medium make, 5 feet 7 inobes higb, about 23 years of age, light brown hair, had a fair moustaohe, wbioh he has since shaved off; sometimes wor j a otp, at others a bat, tweed coat, trowsers. and ves% which he has repeatedly changed; Speaks Irish and English ; states he is a laboursr, has worked as a tailor. Description of JAMES WALSH, supposed native of Tipperary, who stands charged with having, on the 8th day of February, 1892, in the barony of Council, parish of Morristownbiller, obtained a cheque for £ 9 Si. 4d„ by false pretences, which he subsequently converted to his own use, from Mr. Shore, contractor, at Newbridge:— Walks with a slight halt in right leg, shaves chin and upper lip; gray eyes, thick nose, radish complexion, stout make, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 40 years of age; is a tramp labourer ; se- ved in army. Warrant issued. Athy, 13th February, 1892. ( 14060 o.—'-> 7901.) Kilkenny. Woman, supposed to be ANaSTASIA M'DON- NELL ( forging cheque), Hue- and- Cry, 12th January, 1892, not arretted. Particulars of ChArLES ROUND, of Lord- street, Liverpool, who stands charged on remand with having, on 20th October, 1891, obtained, by false pretences, a sum of money from Edward Hurst, pro- vision dealer, Parsonstown. Round is now in custody, and ss it is believed he has also defrauded numbers of traders throughout the country, it is requested that the Police will cause the necessary inquiries to be: made amongst small dealers in earthenware and others. He represents himself to be a commission agent tor various pottery firms in England, and also trades as tbe " Staffordshire Earthenware and Hardware Com- pany," a firm which exists in name only, and on receipt of money fails to forward the goods. In some instances where the orders were for small amonnts, he has forwarded the goods for the purpose, presum- ably, of getting larger order*. Mayo, Description of THOMAS O'HARA ( mother's sur- name Taylor), native of carrantemple, district of Ballymote, county Sligo, who stands charged with having, on the 1st day of February, 1892, in the barony of Costelloe, parish of kilcolman, seriously assaulted James Convee, at Ballaghadereen, by kick- ing him on the hesd, thereby placing his life in danger; gray eyes, rather long nose, sandy complexion, rather leng face, stout, active make, 5 feet 7 or 8 inches high, abi ut 22 years ot age, sandy hair; wears sandy moustache, shaves all the face; wore a light tweed ecat, trows ers and vest; is a farmer's son. Description of WILLIAM FOLEY, native of Kilmessan, who stands charged with having, during paw tour years, in tbe bsror y of Batoath, parish of Ratoath, embezzled various some of money, amounting to £ 18, received by him for his master, Laurence Canning:— brown eyes, regular nose, fresh complexion, long face, slight make, 5 feet 5 inches higb, about 25 years of age, brown hair; wore a round black hat black caek coat, brown striped trowaers, brown vest; smart appearance; is a driver of a bread van. Description of PATRICK SHERRY, alias PATRICK DuFFY, native of Donaghmoyne, county Monaghan, who stands charged with having, on the 7th of December, 1891, in the barony of Trough, parish of Donagh, committed a rape on Anne Elizabeth Clarke, and subsequently escaped from tbe Police when nnder arrest;— A fresh cut on forehead which he received in the struggle with the Police; brown eyes, regular nose, florid complexion, round full face, stout make, 5 feet 7 inches higb, about 30 years of age, red hair, short red moustache, rest of face shaven; wore a black hat, old tweed coat, corduroy trowsers, tweed vest; is a labourer. Warrant issued for bis arrest. Monaghan 13th Dec., 1891. ( 18094 c.— 96101.) Queen's. Description of G. B. MYERS alias W. BARON, native of London, and A MAN unknown, supposed native of London, who stand charged with having, on the 5tH February, 1892, in the barony of Maryborough East, parish of Borris, obtained by false pretences a sum of £ 4 1*. from Mr. R. J. Henderson, provision dealer, Maryborough, representing themselves as sell- ing Stramonium Cigarettes, and appointing agents for the firm, B. Myers, Stramonium Cigarette Manufac- turers, 3A, Shandy- street, Mile End- road, London, S., which only exists in name. The London Police have received several complaints. They are travelling from town to town, and have committed several frauds. The cigarettes are of no value:— 1. Long hands and fingers, full mouth, sandy moustache, speaks with an English accent; regular nose, fresh complexion, round face, stout make, abont 5 feet 8 inches high, about 30 years of age, sandy or fair hair; wore a hard low hat, Melton top coat with velvet collar, and light trowsers; represents himself as a traveller. 2. Jewish appearance, slight dark moustache, dark brown eyes, regular nose, sallow complexion, round face, stout make, about 5 feet 5 inches high, abont 30 years of age, dark hair; wore a dark coat, trowsers, and vest; represents himself as a traveller. Those men take orders, deliver goods, appoint agents at gen- erally 10 « . 6d. per month, undertaking to take back goods unsold, and on these grounds get orders and receive money. Description of MICHAEL STAPLETON ( mother's surname Purcell), native of Gortkelly, and TWO MEN unknown, native places unknown, who stand charged with having, on the 3rd September, 1891, in the barony of Eliogarty, parish of Temple- more, seriously assaulted Sergeant Thomas Devany and Constable James Drohan, R. I. c., while in the execution of their duty :— 1. Small sandy side whiskers and moustache, good looking, blue eyes, regular nose, pale complexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 8 inches higb, about 29 years of age, sandy hair; wore a soft black hat, lost in the row and now in possession of the Police, blue overcoat, and black trowsers and vest. Is a Farmer and returned American. 2. Round shoulders, fresh cut on eyebrow, blue eyes, sandy complexion, round fiace, stont make, 6 feet high, about 34 years of age, sandy hair ; wore a soft black hat, brown tweed coat, and black trowsers and vest. 3. Fresh cut on forehead, blue eyes, yellow com- plexion, round face, stont make, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 80 years of age, fair hair; wore a soft black hat, dark tweed coat, brown trowsers, and black vest. Warrant issued for arrest of No. 1. Templemore, 5th Sept., 1891. ( 11494 a— 93169.) Description of PATRICK DELANEY, native of Holycross, county Tipperary, who stands charged with having, on the 15th day of July, 1891, in the barony of Clanwilliam, parish of Tipperary, and town of Tipperary, when tinder arrest for larceny of whiskey from a dwelling, escaped from custody:— Blotches on face, very sharp manner of speaking; gray eyes, very small nose, red complexion, very thin face, slight make, 5 feet 8 inches high, about 45 years of age, dark hair turning gray; wore an old tweed coat, dark trowsers, and old vest; shabby clothes, coat torn on left arm; is a tramp, Warrant for his arrest with District Inspector, Tipperary. Description of PATRICK DWYER, native of Groves town, Dundrum, who stands charged with having, on or about the 4th June. 1891, at Ballygnr- rane, in the barony of Kilnamanagh, Lower, parish of Oughterleague, stolen four yearling cattle, the pro- perty of Rhody Dwyer, off his farm at Ballygurrane: — Delicate looking, stands erect, shaves all face except slight moustache, dark eyes, regular nose, dark com plexion, thin face, slight make, 5 feet 9 inches high, ebout 32 years of age, dark hair; wore a brown hat witb crape band, plaid sack coat, black cloth trousers, plaid vest; is a clerk. Particulars relative to Convict THOMAS NASH, convicted at Chelmsford, Essex, at the Quarter Sessions, on the 19th October, 1887, for fraud, and sentenced to 5 years' penal servitude and 3 years' police super- vision :— 45 years of sge on conviction, is a labourer, born in Middlesex; no fixed residence; brown hair, blae eyes, fair eyebrows, regular nose, medium mouth, fresh complexion, oval visage, proportionate make, 5 feet 3 inches high; scar on left arm. j This man was released from Pentonville Prison on licence, 29th October, 1891. Wanted, for forging and uttering two Post Office Orders, about 2 p. m., on the 27th instant, a man who pave his name as THOMAS DILLON or DICKENS:— Spoke with an Irish accent, about 35 years of age, 5 feet 10 or 11 inches high, dark com- plexion, dark bair and small side whiskers, long features; dressed in a shabby dark brown Chesterfield overcoat, black felt hat, white cashmere muffler, and dark trowsers; on another occasion he wore a shabby brown tweed suit. On tbe 26th instant he obtained two Post Office Orders for Is. eacb, at a Branch Post Office, payable to William Gardner at Bradford, and Walter Dudley at Northampton; when presented they had each been altered to £ 5, payable at Liverpool. He purchased a black Inverness macintosh, with a velvet collar ( which he may wear), for 30 « ., at a large out- fitters, and got both Orders cashed at the shop where the purchase was made. Kindly cause every possible enquiry to be made; warn shopkeepers; and if met with arrest and wire, or forward any information to GEORGE WILLIAMS, Chief Superintendent. Accused was this morning handed two cheques, each for £ 3 >, in his employers' premises as above, in order to get them cashed, which he did and immediately afterwards absconded. A white pearl brooch, with a purple stone ( amethyst) set in centre; value £ 40. A reward of £ 5 will be given for its recovery. 2. A French watch, set at the back with imitation rubies and pearls, also a row of pearls round the dial, four or five of which were misBiog, the keyhole for winding the watch was on the dial.
