AH Deseriptions of persdns whose apprehension is sought on a charge of Misdemeanour should be accompanied by a statement that a Warrant has been Issued, and by the name of the person in w- hose hands it is. But the Constabulary should remember that they eannot arrest a person charged with an offence of this nature unless they have tW Warrant in their possession when making the arrest. • hl'armW V Should irregularities afise in the delivery of the Hue- and- Cry, it will be neoessary to forward one of the covers, or give the number it bears, as without this Information the mistake cannot be rectified. Prison and Police Authorities are particularly requested to be good enough to inform tbe Inspector- General, Royal Irish Constabulary, Dublin Castle, of the abolition of Gaols, Stations, Ac., and of . any circumstances rendering the supply of the " Hue- and- Cry" no longer necessary. Apprehensions. APPREHENSIONS SOUGHT. ROYAL IRISH CONSTABULARY, Antrim. Description of the undernamed young offender, who, on the 13th March, 1892, absconded from the Malone Reformntorv Sohoftl at Belfast:— JOHN GINGLES, 15 years of age, fair hair, light blue eyes, meeting eyebrows, straight nose, small mouth, fair complexion, oval visage, flight make, 4 feet 10 inches high, is a carpenter, born at Liverpool, formerly belonged to Liverpool, parents reride at 20, Seymour- street, Belfast; small scar on left cheek. Particulars of CHARLES ROUND, of Lord- street, Liverpool, who was convicted on lat March, of having, on 20th October, 1891, obtained, by false pretences, a sum of money from Edward Hurst, pro- vision dealer, Parsonstown, snd sentenced to 19 months' imprisonment, as it is believed he has also defrauded numbers of traders throughout the country, it is requested tbat the Police will csuse the necessary inquiries to be made amongst small dealers in earthei - ware and others. He represented himself to ba a commission a^ ent for various pottery firms in England, and also traded as the " Staffordshire Earthenware and Hardware Company," a firm which exists in r ame only, and on receipt of money fails to forward the goods. In some instances where the orders were for small amounts, he forwarded the goods for the purpose, presumably, of getting larger orders. BARON, native of London, and A MAN unknown, supposed native of London, who stand charged with having, on the 6th February, 1892, in tbe barony of Maryborough East, perish of Borris, obtained hy false pretences a sum of £ 4 Is. from Mr. R. I. Henderson, provision dealer, Maryborough, representing themselves as bell- ing Stramonium Cigarettes, and appointing agents for the firm, B. Myers, Strsmonium Cigarette Manufac- tur ers, 3 A, Shandy street, Mile End- road, London, S., which only exists in name. The London Police bave received ssveral complaints. They are travelling from town to town, and bave committed several frauds. The cigarettes are of no value :— j. Long hands and fingers, full mouth, sandy moustache; speaks with an English accent; regular nose, fresh complexion, round face, stout make, about 5 feet 8 inches high, about 30 years of age, sandy or fair hair; wore a b » rd lo * bat, Melton top oat with velvet collar, and light trowsers; represents himself as a traveller. 2. Description of JOHN MAHONY, alias BILL WALLACE, alias THOMAS WALSH, native of Limerick city ( doubtful), who has been arrested on the 19. h March, 1892, in tbe barony of Slievedaragh, parish of Oarrick, and remanded on the charge of being a deserter from the army and failing to give a satisfactory account of himself, snd it is believed he may have comn itted crime elsewhere:— Small scar on each eyebrow, blue eyes, slightly hooked nose, tre^ h complexion, oval face, stout make, 5 feet 9 inches high, abtut 24 years of age, brown ha: r; wore a soft hat, brown " tweed coat, corduroy trowsers, and old tweed vest, which was covered by a blue jersey, wore mili- tary stockings; is a labourer; stated he was a mason, and that he had been trained with the Tipperary Militia in January last. Description of a MAN, name and native place un- known, who stands charged with having, on tbe 12th March, 1892, in the barony of Clanwilliam, parish of Clonbeg, unlawfully entered the dwelling- house of Michael Halloran, Ballycrana, and stolen therefrom a coat, razor, and a scarf, all value for £ 1 7s. 6d., and 4*. in cash :— Wild looking, dark complexion, round face, stout make, ft feet 6 or 7 inches high, about 30 yetrs of age; wore a cap, gray tweed coat, trowsers, and vest; bad the appearance of an Army Beserve man. Particulars relative to Convict OWEN KEATING, 0 144, convicted at Dublin City Sessions, on 28th Marcb, 1887, for housebreaking, and sentenced to 5 years' penal servitude:— 84 years of age on con- viction, married, is a tailor, born at Dublin; where he resided before conviction; his friends reeide at Kil- kenny :— Dark brown hair turning gray, hazel eyes, brown eyebrows, medium nose, small month, fresh complexion, oval visage, stent make, 5 feet 6£ inches high; out- mark on upper lip and at corner of right eye, two cut- marks on right wrist. This man was released on licence from Maryboro' Prison, on 4th March, 1891, snd went to reside at Kilkenny. He left Londonderry ( where he had been serving in the Mi itia) on 2nd ulto. for Belfast, but he has not reported himself at the latter place, and his present whereabouts is unknown. Particulars relative to Convict JOHN JAMES MORIARTY, c 75, convicted at the Dublin Com- mission Court, on 10th August, 18F6, for embezzle- ment, and sentenced to 7 years' penal servitude:— 28 years of age on conviction, single, is a bank clerk, born at Dnblin, resided at Dublin before conviction, where his friends reside:— Brown hair, blue ejei, brown eyebrows, regular nose, small mouth, fair com- plexion, round visage, stcut male, 5 feet inches high; burn- mark between right thumb and Anger, lost an upper front tooth. This man was released on licence from Mount- oy Prison, 9th November, 1891, and went to reside at 23, Upper Temple street, Dublin. He recently left bis residence without notifying same to the Police, and his present whereabouts is unknown. In the event of his arrest he should be dealt with under sec. 5 of the Act 34 and 35 Vic., cap. 112. 14th March, 1892. ( 464 H. C.)
