J. Henderson, provision dealer, Maryborough, representing themselves as sail- ing Stramonium Cigarettes, and appointing agents for the firm, B. Myers, Stramonium Cigarette Manufac- turers, 3A, Shandy street, Mile End- road, London, S. which only exists in name. The London Police have received several complaints They are travelling from town to town, and have committed several frauds. The cigarettes are of no value :— J. Long hands snd fingers, full mou'h, sandy mcuotache, speaks with an English accent; regular nose, fresh complexion, round face, stout make, about 5 feet 8 inches high, about 30 years of age, sandy or fair hair; wore a hsrl low bat, Mcltcn top coat with velvet collar, and light trowseis} represents himself as a traveller. 2. Jewish appearance, slight dark moustache, dark brown eyes, regular rose, sallow complexim, round face, stent mak**, about 5 feet 5 inches higb, about 30 years of age, dark bair; wore a dtrk coat, trowsers. and vest; represents himself as a traveller. Th'ss men take orders, deliver goods, appoint agents at gen- erally lO fd. per month, undertaking to take back goods unsold, end on these grounds get orders and receive money. Description of 3 MICHAEL STAPLETON ( mother's surname Purcell), native of Gortkelly, and TWO MEN unknown, native places unknown, who Stand charged with having, on the 3rd September, 1891, in the barony of Eliogarty, parish of Temple- more, seriously assaulted Sergeant Thomas Devany and Constable James Drohan, R. I. C., while in the execution of their duty :— 1. Small sandy side whiskers and moustache, good looking, blue eyes, regular nose, pale complexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 8 inches high, about 29 years of age, sandy hair; wore a soft black hat, lost in the row and now in possession of the Police, blue overcoat, and black trowsers and vest. Description of PATRICK DELANEY, native of Holycross, county Tipperary, who stands charged with having, on the 15th day of July, 1891, in the barony of Clanwilliam, parish of Tipperary, and town of Tipperary, when under arrest for larcony of whiskey from a dwelling, escaped from custody^— Blotches on face, very sharp manner of spealin;?; gray eyes, very small nose, red complexion, very thin face, slight make, 5 feet 8 inches high, aboat 45 years of age, dark hair turning gray; were an old tweed coat, dark trowsers, and old vest; shabby clothes, coat torn on left arm; is a tramp, Warrant for his arrest with District Inspector, Tipperary. Descript" n of THOMAS CASHEL ( mother's surname Foley), native of Cappoquin, who stands charged with having, on or about the 3rd September, 1891; in the barony of Coshmore and Cosbbride, parish of Lismore, stolen a letter containing a postal order for 15*. :— Walks with a slight stoop and swaggering gait, gray or blue eyes, regular nose, fresh complexion, full face, medium make, 5 feet 6 inches high, aboat 18 years of age, fair hair; were a light tweed cap, dark tweed coat, dark trowsers and vest; is a servant boy. Description of MATHEW FAHY, who stands charged with the larceny of three chests of tea from the premises of the Midland Great Western Railway Company, at North Wall, on 30th November, 1891:— years of age, 5 feet 9 inches bigh, stout build, ronnd shoulders, brown hair, fall face, heavy sandy moustache, remainder of face shaved ; when last seen was dressed in cross- bar tweed suit and black Jerry hat; is a native of Woodford, county Galway, and has friends residing at Athenry and Nenagh. Warrant in the hands of Chief Superintendent. 9th January, 1892. ( 449 H. C. Particulars relative to Convict THOMAS BURNS, C. 128, convicted at the Recorder's Court, Belfast, county Antrim, on 17th February, 1887, for break- ing and entering, and larceny, and previous conviction, and sentenced to 5 years' penal servitude:— 28 years of age on conviction, single, is an iron turner, born at Falls- road, Belfast, resided at Belfast before conviction; has friends residing at Divis- straet, Bel- fast :— Fair bair, gray eyes, fair eyebrows, broad nose, medium rronth, fresh complexion, oval visage, stout make, 5 feet 5$ inches high, scar on forehead, right knee, and left breast, two dots between left thumb and finger, lost several upper teeth. This nan was released on licence from Mountjoy Prison on 28th April, 1891, snd went to Belfast. He left bis residence on the 16th ult. without reporting to the Police, and his present whereabouts is unknown. In the event of his arrest he should bo dealt with under sec. 5 of 84 and 35 Vic., cap. 112. 5th November, 1891. Particulars relative to Convict THOMAS NASH, convicted at Chelmsford, Essex. at the Quarter Sessions, on the 19th October, 1887, for fraud, and sentenced to 5 years' penal servitude and 3 years' police super vision years of age on cenviction, is a labourer, born in Middlesex; no fixed residence; brown hair, blue eyes, fair eyebrows, regular nose, medium mouth, fresh complexion, oval visage, proportionate make, 5 feet 3 inches high; scar on left arm. This man was released from Pentonville Prison on licence, 29th October, 1891. He notified to the Dublin Metropolitan Police on 26th ult. that he was going to Cork, but he has not reported himself then, and his present whereabouts is unknown. In the event of his arrest he should be dealt with nnder sec. 5 of 84 and 35 Vic., cap. II2. 21st January, 1892. ( 451 H. C.) Lancashire. J on warrant, charged with stealing £ 35 in golif, at Brierley Hill, OBthe 1st kist., JAMES ARTHUR COOPER:— A native of Brierley Hill, Staffordshire, labourer or seaman, 19 years of age, & feet 4 inches higb, light complexion, light brown hair, no wbie^ qra or moustaciht,. hazel eyes, slender build; dressed in a light plaid cap with peak, dark plaid cloth " round jacket* suit, light laced boots, white collar and front and red necktie with lavender stripes. Tbe above described had been living with his parents at Brierley Hill, and left on the 1st instant, after breaking open'a cash box and taking the ' above amount therefrom. He will in all probability endeavour to go abroad, as he has been enquiring at an emigration rffice here about a passage to Australia. Please cause enquiries to be made at shipping cilice, and all likely places, and if found, arrest and wire to Captain tbe Honorable G. A. Accused was this morning handed two cheques, each for £ 3~>, in' his employers' premises as above, in order to get them cashed, which he did fend immediately afterwards absconded. Description of articles, the property of James Ryan, of Parsonstown, which were burglariously stclen from bis house at Parsonstown, parish of Birr, barony of Ballybritt, on the 22nd day of January, 1893, viz.:— A Waterbury watch, old; value for Ss. ( d.; a pair of earrings, Indian gold ; 4 pairs of boots ( one pair of men's, and three pairs description unknown, supposed to be children';-); 4 pairs of long leather leggings, with steel spring fastenings; a gold ring, with blood stone; 4 gold rings, plain. Parsonstown, 24ib Jar., 1892. ( 13673 r 97201 ) Mayo. Description of a brooch and watch, the property of MrS. Fitzgerald Kenny, which wen stolen from her dwellinghouso at Clogher, pariah of Drum, and oounty of Mayo, between 31st July, 1891, and 14th Jannary, 1892, by some person or parsons at present unknown:— 1. A white pearl brooch, with a purple stone ( amethyst) set in centre; value £ 40. A roward of £ 5 will be given for its ncovery. 2. A French watch, set at the back with imitation rubies and pearls, also a row of pearls round the dial, four or five of which were missing, the keyhole for winding the watch was on the dial. A reward of £ 1 will be given for its recovery. It is supposed these articles wen pawned either in the country or io Dublin city or suburbs. Informa- tion to be given to District Inspector, R. I. Perthshire, Stolen by means of housebreaking, from a villa in the vicicity of Blairgowrie, on 31st nit.;— A lady's gold lever watch, large size number 84,891, " T. C. Brown, Leith," on works, gold dial flower* engraved on cases; a lady's guard chain, square link pattern, gold shield attached, having inscription, " Presented with a gold chain to Miss Innis. by her pupils at Linhead school, Alvah," engraved March, 1877, thereon; a gent's gold watch, white dial, engine- turned eases, gold hands, number not known; two gild lockets, one coloured gold, oval shape, engraved photo of gent, and hair inside, the other bright gold, oval shape, thick, engraved ( nothing inside); a coloured gold bangle, $ inch breed, flat inside, raised outside, en- graved, snd had sxall gold chain about 2 inches in length attached at fastening; a silver bracelet, chain patters, broad links, engraved, small secret link betn een ; a diver bracelet, broad flat link, plain; an old- fashioned bracelet, joint and clasp, engraved with gold figuring, 1$ incles in breadth; an old- fashioned bracelet, joint and clasp, grooved on top, and grooves running from joint to clasp; a pair of coloured gold ear- rings, drop pattern, with small drop at point of large drop; a silver necklet, flat links, biros engraved in gold on links, having attached a large oval silver locket ( dull), stork in front in gold, and plain back; a large brooch, round, dark coloured store, ret in silver ring, notched round edge, and wants pin; an oval- shaped silver brooch, flat, writh gold figuring on front; au Iooic cross pendant made into a brooch, silver, with grayish stones, one stone awanting; a silver Albert, oval pattern, secret link; three one pound notes, bank and numbers unknown; fifteen shillings in tilver money; an old crown piece, some coppers, and about thirty shillings in threepenny pieces. A man of tl e following description was seen under suspicions circumstances in the locality— About 40 years of aje, 5 feet 9 cr 10 inches in height, ordinary or rather slim built, dark reddish hair, whiskers, and moustache, shaved on chin, very pale thin face; dress— dark short overcoat or dust coat, dark trowsers, white collar, black felt hat, all in good order. Supposed to be David Proudfoot, Perth, General Prisjn, Photo 14/ 71, 27/ 11/ 91. Police officers are requastad to make particular search and enquiry for the above stolen property, and detection of the thief or thieves, and communicate any information obtained to the subscriber.
