DE COBAIN, native of Belfest, who stands charged that he did, within the past two years, at Belfast, commit an act of gross indecency with another male person, and within the same time, tmd at the place aforesaid did incite divers other male persons to commit sodomy:—' Walks erect, sqnare shoulders, corpulent, contracts eyebrows when speaking, grpy eyes, regular nose, pale complexion, full faco, stout make, 5 feet 10 inches high, about 48 years of age, dark brown hair; wore a silk hat, black Chesterfield overcoat, black frock coat, dark trowsers, and dark vest; is a Member of Parliament. Description of REDMOND RONAYNE POWER, native of Waterford, who stands charged with having, in tl^ barony of East Division of West Carbery, parish of Creagh, embezzled a large sum of money, including in particular a suoa of £ 43, lodged with him in the Skibbereen Branch of the Munster and Leinster Banking Company, Limited, on or about the 22nd October, 1891:— Black drooping moustache ; brown eyas, regular noso, pale complexion, regular face, active medium make, 6 feet Ligh, about 35 years of age, black hair; wore a round black hat, black diagonal coat, trowsers, and vest; blue melton overcoat; teller in Munster and Leinster Bank. Square shoulders, rather short neck, gray eyes, regular nose, fresh complexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 7 or 8 inches higb, about 32 years of age, dark hair; wore a round felt bat, black frock coat, striped gray trowsera, black vest j is a farmer. Boyish appearance, gray eyes, rather thick nose, fresh complexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 7 or 8 inches high, about 22 years of age, dark hair ; wore a soft black hat, gray tweed coat, trowsers, and vest; is a farmer's son. Description of JOHN HUSSEY ( mother's sur- name Connor), native of Cragg, neat castleisland, who stands charged with having, on the 30th day of December, 1891, in the barony of Trughanacmy, parish of Nohoval, conspired to murder one Thomas O'Connor:— Has a burn mark on lower part of neck, near chest, good- looking, shaves all his face, when seen at a distance looks like a Christian Brother, has a habit of looking at the ground; dark eyes, regular nose, dark complexion, oval face, stout make, 5 feet, 10 or 11 inches high, about 26 years of age, dark hair; wore a soft black hat, a brown Chesterfield over- coat, dark cloth trousers and vest; generally wears a standing- up collar; is a farmer's son; is a raturned American. Woman, supposed to be ANASTASIA M'DON NELL ( forging cheque), Hue- and- Cry, 12th January, 1892, not arrestel. ( 12793 c— 95541.) King's. Particulars of CHARLES ROUND, of Lord street, Liverpool, who stands charged on remand with having, on 20th October, 1891, obtained, by false pretences, a sum of money from Edward Hurst, pro- vision dealer, Parsonstown. Round is now in custody, and as it is believed he has also defrauded number of traders throughout the country, it is requested that the Police will cause the necessary inquiries to be made amongst small dealers in earthenware and others. He represents himself to be a commission agent tor various pottery firms ia England, and also trades as the " Staffordshire Earthenware and Hardware Com- pany," a firm which exists in name only, and on receipt of money fails to forward the goods. In some instances where the orders were for small amounts, he has forwarded the goods for the purpose, presum- ably, of getting larger orders. Description of PATRICK RYAN ( TURIG), and MICHAEL RYAN ( TURIG), mother's surname Bourke, natives of Kylegarriff, who stand charged with having, on the 11th December, 189!, in the barony of Coonagh, parish of Doon, committed an assault, endangering life, on Patrick Hennessy :— 1. Blue eyes, regular nose, fair complexion, rather thin face, medium make, 6 feet high, about 25 years Of age, fair hair, very fair moustache; wore a brown hat, bhie serge coat, trowsers, and vest; is a farmer's ison. 2. Blue eyes, regular nose, fair complexion, rather full face, medium make, 5 feet 10 inches higb, about 22 years of age, fair hair, small fair moustache; wore a low black hat, black coat, gray tweed trowsers and west; is a farmer's son. Description ef THOMAS O'HARA ( mother's sur- name Taylor), native of Carrantemple. district of Ballymote, county Sligo, who stands char ( red with having, on the 1st day of February, 1892, in the larony of Costelloe, parish of Kilcolman, seriously assaulted James Convee, at Ballaghadereen, by kick- ing him on tbe head, thereby placing his life in danger; gray eyes, rather long nose, sandy complexion, rather long face, stout, active make, 5 feet 7 or 8 inohes high, about 22 years of age, sandy hair; wears sandy moustache, shaves all the facet wore a light tweed coat, trowsers, and vest; is a farmer's son. Monaghan, Description of PATRICK SHERRY, alias PATRICK DUFFY, native of Donaghmoyne, county Monaghan, who stands charged with having, on the 7th of December, 1891, in the barony of Trough, parish of Donagh, committed a rape on Anne Elizabeth Clarke, and subsequently escaped from the Police when under arrest:— A fresh cut on forehead which Le received in the struggle with the Police i brown eyes, regular nose, florid complexion, round full face,. stout make, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 30 yeara of age, red hair, short red moustache, rest of face shaven; wore a black bat, old tweed coat, corduroy trowsers, tweed vest; is a labourer. BARON, native ol London, and A MAN unknown, supposed native of London, who stand charged with having, on the 5th February, 1892, in the barony of Maryborough East, parish of Borris, obtained by false pretences a sum of £ 4 Is. from Mr. R. J. Henderson, provision dealer, Maryborough, representing themselves as sell- ing stramonium Cigarettes, and appointing agents fo? tbe firm, B. Myers, Stramonium Cigarette Manufac- tut ers, 3A, Shandy- street, Mile End- roud, London, S., which only exists in name. The London Police have received several complaints. They are travelling from town to town, Bnd have committed several frauds. The cigarettes are of no value :— J. - Long' bands and fingers, full mouth, sandy moustache, speaks with an English accent; regular nose, fresh complexion, round face, stout make, about 5 feet 8 inches high, about SO years of age, sandy or fair hair; wore a herd low hat, Melton top coat with velvet collar, and light trowsers; represents himself as a traveller. 2. Jewish appearance, slight dark moustache, dark brown eyes| regular r ose, sallow complexion, round face, stout make, about 5 feet 5 inches higb, about 30 years of age, dark hair; rore a dark coat, trowsers, snd vest; represents himself as a traveller. Those men take orders, deliver goods, appoint agents at gen- erally 10s fd. per month, undertaking to take back goods unsold, and on these grounds get orders and receive money. Description of MICHAEL STAPLETON ( mother's surname Purcell), native of Gortkelly, and TWO MEN unknown, native places unknown, who stand charged with having, on the 3rd September, 1891, in the barony of Eliogarty, parish of Temple- more, seriously assaulted Sergeant Thomas Devany and Constable James Drohan, R. I. C., while in the execution of their duty:— 1. Small sandy side whiskers and moustache, good looking, blue eyes, regular nose, pale complexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 8 inches high, about 29 years of age, sandy hair; wore a soft black hat, lost in the row and now in possession of the Police, blue overcoat, and black trowsers and vest. Is a Farmer and returned American. 9. Round shoulders, fresh cut on eyebrow, blue eyes, sandy complexion, round face, stout make, 6 feet high, about 34 years of age, sandy hair ; wore a soft black hat, brown tweed coat, and black trowsers and vest. 3. Fresh cut on forehead, blue eyes, yellow com- plexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 30 years of age, fair hair; wore a soft black hat, dark tweed coat, brown trowsers, and black vest. Warrant issued for arrest of No. 1. Templemore, 5th Sept., 1891. ( 11494 a— 93169.) Description of PATRICK DELANEY, native of Holycross, county Tipperary, who stands charged with having, on the 15th day of July, 1891, in the barony of Clanwilliam, parish of Tipperary, and town of Tipperary, when under arrest for larceny of whiskey from a dwelling, escaped from custody:— Blotches on face, very sharp manner of speaking; gray eyes, very small nose, red complexion, very thin face, slight make, 5 feet 8 inches high, about 45 years of age, dark hair turning gray; wore an old tweed coat, dark trowsers, and old vest; shabby clothes, coat torn on left arm; is a tramp, Warrant for his arrest with District Inspector, Tipperary. Description of PATRICK DWYER, native of Grovestown, Dundrum, who stands charged with having, on or about tbe 4th June, 1891, at Ballygur- rane, in the barony of Kilnamanagh, Lower, parish of Oughterieague, stolen four yearling cattle, the pro- perty of Rhody Dwyer, off his farm at Ballygurrane: — Delicate looking, stands erect, shaves all face except slight moustache, dark eyes, regular nose, dark com- plexion, thin face, slight make, 5 feet 9 inches high, about 82 years of age, dark hair; wore a brown hat with crape band, plaid sack coat, black cloth trousers, plaid vest; is a clerk. ( 11148 c.— 92603) Tyrone, Description of MARK DEERY ( mother's surname Devlin), native of Feebane West, who Btands charged with having, on tbe 6th January, 1892, at Gortin, in the barony of Strabane Upper, parish of Badoney Lower, seriously assaulted his uncle, Fras. Deery, by striking him several times on the head with a stick:— Speaks through his no » e, shaves all his face except small fair moustache, gray eyes, regular nose, fair complexion, round face, medium make, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 24 years of age, fa'r hair; wore a soft felt hat, dark frieze coat, gray trowsers, and white sleeved vest; is a farmer's son. Description of ANDREW M'CREA, native of Killowen, who stands charged with having, on the 9th October, 1891, in the barony of Omagh West, perish of Longfield Wert, fired a shot at John M'Menamin :— Shaved all his fane recently except moustache, which is sandy; brown eyes, regular nose, fresh complexion, round full face, stout make, 5 feet 7^ incnes high, about 28 years of age, sandy hair; is a Labourer. Warrant for arrest in the hands of Sergeant Mulcahy at Drumquin. Newtownstewart, 14th Oct., 1891. 12193 a— 94309. Waterford. Description of THOMAS CASHEL ( mother's surname Foley), native of Cappoquin, who stands charged with having, on or about the 3rd — 1—. 1891, in the barony of Coshmore and Coshbride, parish of Lismore, stolen a letter containing a postal order for 15 « . : — Walks with a slight stoop and swaggering gait, gray or blue eyes, regular nose, fresh complexion, full face, medium make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 18 years of age, fair hair; wore a light tweed cap, dark tweed coat, dark trowsers and vest; is a seigant boy. It is probable he may have enlisted. Warrant has been issued for his arrest in hands of District Inspector, Cappoquin. Cappoquin, 23rd Oct., 1891. ( 12255 o.— 94555.) Wicklow. Description of the undernamed young offender, who, on the 23rd November, 1891, absconded from the St. Kevin's Reformatory School at Glencree :— JOHN FITZPATRICK, 2252, about 17 or 18 years of age, 5 feet 2 or 5 feet 3 inches higb, ordinary make, fair complexion, brown hair, hazel eyes, ordinary nose, ordinary mouth, oval visage, small cut- mark on top of head; formerly belonged to 24, Upper Mercer- street, Dublin ; his parents reside at Goss's, 14, Aungier- street, Dublin. The school dress, all with the Reformatory Stamp, consists of:— Cloth cap ( Scotch make), corduroy jacket, corduroy trowsers, moleskin vest, elastio belt, and strong nailed boots, No. 2252. The Manager of the Reformatory will defray tho expenses of his conveyance, if arrested, to the nearest Justice on remand, and will reward the person who may capture him with £ 1. 25th November, 1891. Description of the undernamed young offender, who, on the 23rd November, 1891, absconded from the St. Kevin's Reformatory School at Glencree :— JAMES M'SHEA, 2408, about 16 years of age, 5 feet 1 or 2 inches high, ordinary make, fresh com- plexion, brown hair, brown eyes, ordinary nose, ordinary month, oval visage; cut mark on forehead ; formerly belonged to 2 or 3, Clarendon- row, Dublin; parents reside at 4, Lower Mercer- street, Dublin. The School dress, all with Reformatory Stamp, consists of:— Cloth cap ( Hootch make), corduroy jacket, moleskin vest, corduroy trowsers, elastic belt, strong nailed boots, No. 2408. M'Shane is the boy's real name, his brother- in- law, Joseph Walsh ( window blind maker), resides at 3, Lower Kevin- street, and his aunt, Mrs. Rafferty, who works at Jacob's, resides in Bride- street, Dublin. The Manager of the Reformatory will defray tbe expenses of bis conveyance, if arrested, to the nearest Justice, on remand, and will reward the person who may capture bim with £ 1. 25th November, 1891. Description of MATHEW FAHY, who standi charged with the larceny of tbrfe chests of tea from the premises of the Midland Great Western Railway Company, st North Wall, on 80th November, 1891:— S5 years of age, 5 feet 9 inches higb, Stout build, round shoulders, brown hair, full face, heavy sandy moustache, remainder of face shaved; when last seen was dressed in crosS- bar tweed suit and black Jerry hat; is a native of Woodford, county Galway, snd has friends residing at Athenry and Menagh. Wsrrant in the hands of Chief Superintendent. 9th January, 1892. ( 449 H. c. Particulars relative to Convict THOMAS BURNS, o. 128, convicted at the. Recorder's Court, Belfast, county Antrim, on 17th February, 1887, lor break- ing and entering, and larceny, and previous conviction, and sentenced to 5 years' penal servitude:— 28 years of ace on conviction, single, is an iron turner, bora at Falls- road, Belfast, resided at Belfast before conviction; has friends residing at Divis- street, Bel- fast:— Fair hair, gray eyes, fair eyebrows, broad nose, medium mouth, fresh complexion, oval visage, stout make, 5 feet 5$ inches high, Bear on forehead, right knee, and left breast, two dots between Mft thumb and finger, lost several upper teeth. This man was released on licence from Mountjoy Prison on 28th April, 1891, end went to Belfast. He left his residence on the 16th ult. without reporting to the Police, and his present whereabouts is unknown. Licensed Convict WILLIAM MURRAY, Hue- and- Cry, 29th Sept., has not been arrested. ( 416 H. C.) ENGLISH POLICE. Essex. Particulars relative to Convict THOMAS NASH, convicted at Chelmsford, Essex, at tie Quarter Sessions, On* the 19th October, 1887, for fraud, and sentenced to 5 years' penal servitude and 3 years' police super- vision :— 45 years of age on conviction, is a labourer, born in Middlesex; no fixed residence; brown hair, blue eyes, fair eyebrows, regular nose, medium month, fresh complexion, oval visage, proportionate make, 5 feet 3 inches high; scar on left arm. This man was released from Pentonville Prison on licence, 29th October, 1891. He notified to the Dublin Metropolitan Police on 26th nit. that he was going to Cork, but he has not reported himself there, and his present whereabouts is unknown. In ( he event of his arrest he should be dealt with under sec. 5 of 34 and 35 Vie., cap. 112. 21st January, 1892. ( 451 H. C.) lancashire. Wanted, for forging and uttering two Post Office Orders, about 2 p. m., on the 27th instant, a man who gave bis name as THOMAS DILLON or DICKENS:— Spoke with an Irish accent, about 35 years of age, 5 fe< t 10 or 11 inches high, dark com- plexion, dark hair and small side whiskers, long features; dressed in a shabby dark brown Chesterfield overcoat, black felt hat, white cashmere muffler, and dark trowsers; on another occasion be wore a shabby brown tweed suit. On tl e 26th instant he obtained two Post Office Orders for Is. each, at a Branch Post Office, payable to William Gardner at Bradford, and Walter Dudley at Northampton; when presented they had each been altered to £ 5, payable at Liverpool. He purchased a black Inverness macintosh, with a velvet collar ( which he may wear), for SO;., at a large cut fitters, and got both Orders cashed at the shop where the purchase was msde. Description of a brooch and watch, the property of Mrs. Fitzgerald Kenny, which were stolen from her dwellinghouse at Clogher, parish of Drum, and county of Mayo, between 31st July, 1891, and 14th January, 1892, by some person or persons at present unknown r— 1. A white pearl brooch, with a purple stone ( amethyst) set in centre; value £ 40. A reward of £ 5 will be given for its recovery. 2. A French watch, set at the back with imitation rnbies and pearls, also a row of pearls round the dial, four or five of wbieh were missing, the keyhole for winding the watch was on the dial. H.," the owner's initials, are engraved on the inside and outside the back of the watcb, and the words " Elgin, III. Watch Co." engraved on dial, value for about £ 25.
