WT All Notices intended for insertion in the Hue- and- Cry are to be transmitted under cover, addressed to the Inspector- General, Royal Irish Constabulary Dublin Castle, autlienticaled by a Separate Communication. No Description can bo inserted unless an Information shall have been Sworn; but it is not necessary to forward the Informations to the Inspector- GeneraL Notices respecting all Felonies and such Misdemeanours as are of an aggravated nature will be inserted. All Descriptions of j « ersons whose apprehension is sought on a charge of Misdemeanour should be accompanied by a statement that a " Warrant has been Issued, and by the name of the person in whose hands it ia. But the Constabulary should remember that they cannot arrest a person charged with an offence of this nature unless they have the Warrant in their possession when making the arrest. Should irregularities arise in the delivery of the Hue- and- Cry, it will be necessary to forward one of the covers, or give the number it bears as without this information the mistake cannot be rectified. ' Prison and Police Authorities are particularly requested to be good enough to inform the Inspector- General, Royal Irish Constabulary, Dublin Castle of the abolition of Gaols, Stations, dtc., and of any oiroumstanoes rendering the supply of the " Hue- and- Cry " no longer necessary. Description of JOHN HUSSEY ( mother's sur- name Connor), native of Cragg, near castleisland, who stands charged with having, on the 30th day of December, 1891, in tha barony of Traghanacmy, parish of Nohoval, conspired to murder one Thomas O'Connor:— Has a burn mark on lower part of neck, near chest, good- looking, shaves all bis face, when seen at a distance looks like a Christian Brother, has a habit of looking at the grounds dark eyes, regular nose, dark complexion, oval face, stout make, 5 feet 10 or 11 inches high, about 26 years of age, dark hair; wore a soft black hat, a brown Chesterfield over- coat, dark cloth trowsers and vest; generally wears a standing- up collar; is a farmer's son; is a returned American. Description of MICHAEL CAVANAGH, native place unknown, who standi charged with having, on the 5th January, 1892, in the barony of Glanerought, parish of Kilgarvan, stolen and carried away from the possession of one John Sweeny, at Kilgarvan, the sum of £ 3 12*. td-, consisting of two three pound notes, two single notes, 10*. in gold, and ?*. 6d. in silvers- Portion of left ear missing, fnll gray eyes, long noee, dark complexion, long face, medium make, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 35 years of age, dark hair; wore a soft black hat, black coat, tweed trowiers, twead vest, and white and blue handkerchief around his neck; is a ganger on railway works. Description of PATRICK RYAN ( TURIG), and MICHAEL RYAN ( TURIG mother's surname Bourke, natives of Kylegarriff, who stand charged with having, on the 11th December, 1891, in the barony of Coonagh, parish of DOON, committed an assault, endangering life, on Patrick Hennessy:— 1. Wicklow. a Description of the undernamed young offender, who. on the 23rd November, 1891, absconded from the St. Kevin's Reformatory School at Glencree:— JOHN FITZPATRICK, 2252, about 17 or 18 years of age, 5 feet 2 or 5 feet 3 inches high, ordinary make, fair complexion, brown hair, bazA eyes, ordinary nose, ordinary mouth, oval visage, small cnt- mark on top of head; formerly belonged to 24, Upper Mercer- street, Dublin ; his parents reside at Goss's, 14, Aungier- street, Dublin. The school drers, all with the Reformatory Stamp, consists of:— Cloth cap ( Scotch make), corduroy jacket, corduroy trowsers, moleskin vest, elastic belt, and strong nailed boots, No. 2252. The Manager of the Reformatory will defray the expenses of bis conveyance, if arrested, to the nearest Justice on remand, and will reward the person who may capture him with £ 1. 25th November, 1891. Description of the undernamed young offender, who, on the 23rd November, 1891, absconded from ( he St. Kevin's Reformatory School at Glencree:— JAMES M'SHEA, 2408, about 10 years of age, 5 feet 1 or 2 irches high, ordinary make, fresh com- plexion, brown hair, brown eyes, ordinary nose, ordinary month, oval visage; cut mark on forehead ; formerly belonged to 2 or 3, Clarendon- row, Dublin; parents reside at 4, Lower Mercer- street, Dublin. The School dress, all with Reformatory Stamp, consists of:— Cloth cap ( Scotch make), corduroy jai ket, moleskin vest, corduroy trowsers, elastic belt, strong nailed boots, No. 2408. M'Shane is the boy's real name, his brother- in- law, Joseph Walsh ( window blind maker), resides at 3, Lower Kevin- street, and his aunt, Mrs. Rafferty, who works at Jacob's, resides in Bride- street, Dublin. The Manager of the Reformatory will defray the expenses of his convcyance, if arrested, to the nearest Justice, on remand, and will reward the person who may capture him with £ 1. 25th November, 1891. Description of MATHEW FAHY, who stands charged with the larceny of three chests of tea from the premises of the Midland Great Western Railway Company, at North Wall, on 30th November, 1891 :— 35 years of age, 5 feet 9 inches high, stout build, round shoulders, brown hair, fnll face, heavy sandy moustache, remainder of face shaved ; when la6t seen was dressed in cross- bar tweed suit and black Jerry hat; is a native of Woodford, county Galway, and has friends residing at Athenry and ftenagh, Warrant in the bands cf Chief Superintendent. 9 th January, 1692. Particulars relative to Convict THOMAS BURNS, o. 128, convicted at the Recorder's Court, Belfast, county Antrim, on 17th February, 1887, for break- ing and entering, and larceny, and previous conviction, and sentenced to 5 years' penal servitude:— 28 years of ape on conviction, fingle, is an iron turner, born at Falls- road, Belfast, resided at Belfast beforo conviction; has friends residing at Divis- street, Bel- fast:— Fair hair, gray eyes, fair eyebrows, broad nose, medium mouth, fresh complexion, oval visage, stout make, 5 feet 5J inches high, scar on forehead, right knee, and left breast, two dots between left thumb and finger, lost soveral upper teeth. This man was released on licence from Mountjoy Prison on 28th April, 1891, and went to Belfast.. He left his residence on the 16th ult. without reporting to the Police, and his present whereabouts is unknown. Particulars relative to Convict THOMAS NASH, convicted at Chelmsford, Essex, at tbe Quarter Sessions, on the 19th October, 1887, for fraud, and sentenced to 5 years' penal servitude and 3 years' police super- vision :— 45 years of age on conviction, is a, labourer, born in Middlesex} no fixed residence; brown hair, Uae eyes, fair eyebrows, ragular nose, mediam mouth, fresh complexion, oval visage, proportionate make, 5 feet 3 inches high; scar on left arm. This man was released from Pentonville Prison on licence, 29th October, 1891. He notified to tf- e Dublin Metropolitan Police on 26th ult. that he was going to Co.- k, bat ho has not reported himself there, and his prasent whereabouts is unknown. In the event of his arrest he should be dealt with under sor. 5 of 34 and 35 Vic., cap. 11?. 21st January, 1892. ( 451 F. C.) Sussex, Description of THOMAS HENRY JONES alias GEORGE WILLIAMS, wanted on Warrant for stealing at Hove, where he last resided, on 14th October, 1891, £ 1 13*,, the moneys of his master:— 14 years of age, 5 feet 2 inches high, light hair, fair complexion, slight figure; wore a gray cap, black acket, gray striped trowsers, and black Vest; is an errand boy; his father, Henry Jones, resides at 7, Lambeth- square. A white pearl brooch, with a purple stone ( amethyst) sat in centre; value £ 40. A reward of £ 5 will be given for its recovery. 2. A French watch, set at tha back with imitation rubies and pearls, also a row of pearls round the dial, four or fire of which were missing, tha keyhole tor winding the watch was on the dial. Description of a watch and chain, which were stolen from Hugh Hayden, a draper's assistant from Athlone, while on a visit here, on Saturday night, 26th inst., viz.:— A gold American watch, open- faced, black hands, and sunk second hand, is a self winder, " H. H.," the owner's initials, are engraved on the inside and outside the back of tha watch, and the words " Elgin, III. Watch Co." engraved on dial, value for about £ 25. Tipperary, Description of a revolver, property of Earl de Montalt which was stolen from tho dwelling- hoase occupied by his caretaker, John Boche, at Monroe, parish of Clonoulty, and barony of Lower Kilna- maoagh, on Snnday, 27th September, 1891:— A five- chambered revolver, loaded in three chambers, tho words " British Bulldog" and " Hawarden," in small letters, engraved on barrel, about 6£ inches long, bluish colour, old and rusty, the barrell thick, about 3£ inches long, round on outside, four grooves on inside, a strap of metal running baok from the barrell along the stock and continuing up to the trigger- guard, dark wooden stock; value for £ 1. 4th October, 1891. Description of plate, the property of Ardnurcher Parish, which was stolen from the Protestant Church at Horseleap, parish of Ardnurcher, barony of Moy- cashel, on the 28th or 29th day of August, 1891, probably by tinkers:— One large flagon, supposed silver, broad at bottom, tapering to top, side straight, had a lid, handle, and spout, no inscription; one chalice, gold lined, no inscription, goblet- shaped, similar to a large wine- glass, supposed silver, but may be plated; one paten, supposed silver, may be plated, has a raised bottom of about two inches, size of a breakfast plate, inscribed " Ardnurcher Church "; one alms- dish, very small, silver, quite flat, with a rim, inscribed " Horse- leap Church, 1806.' ( 443 H. c ) Roxburghshire Stolen from adwelling- housoin Hawick, between 1st August. 1891, and 4th January, 1892 : — A lady's fine gold half hunting watch, initials on back of case nearly worn oat, front case figured; a lady's old- fashioned gold chain, small twisted links ; two lady's gold finger rings— one set with a valuable stone the other set with hair, ard has got tbe initials " I. M." on outside; four lady's brooches— one gold reveroibla with portrait of young lady, one a small gold cablo pattern, on a gold Bet with three white stones, pin an anting, and the other s lver, small round pattern ; a pair of earrings unmounted fastened together with a piece of cord; a pair of black composite eairings mounted in gold ; a lady's Maltese collar, old fashioned. Also stolen from tbe person while in a state of intoxication on 31st December, 1891, a single case silver lever watch, No. 154,301, gold hands, sunk seconds, name " Farring- don, Registered " on dial, in good condition.
