Description of EDWARD S. W. DE COBAIN, native of Belfast, who stands charged that he did, witbin the past two years, at Belfast, commit an act of gross indecency with another male person, and within the same time, and at the place aforesaid did incite divers other male persons to commit sodomy:— Walks erect, aqnare shoulders, corpulent, contracts eyebrows when speaking, gray eyes, regular nose, pale complexion, fall face, stont make, 5 feet 10 inches high, about 48 years of age, dark brown hair; wore a silk hat, black Chesterfield overcoat, black frock coat, dark trowsers, and dark vest; is a Member of Parliament. Warrant in hands of District Inspector, Detective Department, Belfast, to whom information should be sent. NOT*.— Arrest cannot be legally made without Warrant. Belfast, 15th April, 1891. Carlow. Description of PATRICK CUMMINS ( mother's surname Neill), native of Bagnalstown, who stands charged with^ having, on the 9th day of July, 1891, in the barony of Idrone East, parish of Dunleckney, seriously assaulted one Patrick Whelan, by stabbing him with a knife. This man was bailed to take his trial for said offence at Carlow Quarter Sessions, on 22na inst., but failed to surrender to his recognizance:— Light cut mark over left eye and cn right thumb, gray eyes, regular nose, fair complexion, round face, stout active msk « , 5 feet 10 inches high, about 26 years of age, fair hair, hair grows thin on face, shares seldom; wore a round black cap, with peak, gray coat, trowsers, and vert. Dcsaription of EDWARD WATSON, native of High Broughton, Manchester, who stands charged with laving, on the 30th day of September, 189', in tte barjiy of Barrymore, parish of Templerobin, stolen tho sum of £ 9 At. 3d., the moneys of Herbert Ravenscroft, Lieutenant 1st Batt Manchester Regi- ment; and also with having embezzled about £", moneys of Military Canteen at Rocky Island, Cork Harbour:— Has lost front tcoth in uppsr jaw, blue eyes, reddish nose, fresh complexion, round full face, stout make, 5 feet 6 inches high, ab^ ut 24 years of age, fair moustache and hair; wore a hard low hat, dark tweed coat, trowsers, and vest; is a sergeant 1 st Batt. Description of SAMUEL SCOTT, native of Belfast, who stands charged with having, on the 12th day of November, 1891, in tho barony of Lower Iveagh, upper halt', parish of Moira, robbed one George Bar- racks :— Gray eyes, long nose, fair complexion, round face, stout m ake, 5 feet 11 inches high, about 39 years of age, fair hair; wore a b'ack cap, blac'i coat, brown tweed trowsers, and black vest; is a tramp. He is at present in Belfast Gaol, having been committed for trial at Winter Assizes, but may have committed offences elsawhere. Banbridge, 15th Nov., 1891. ( 126) 6 c.— 95230.) Description of KATE KEARNS, native of county Mayo, who stands charged with having, on the 1st day of November, 1891, in the barony of Galway, parish of St. Nicholas, wilfully and unlawfully abandoned, and exposed her male infant child, a fortnight old, whereby its life was endangered:— Slightly pockpitted, black eyes, regular nose, swarthy complexion, stout make, 5 fret 8 or 4 inches high, about 32 years of age, black hair; wore a black shawl and an old white calico dress, flounced and puckered behind, wore no boots nor shoes; is a domestic servant. Description of JOHN GRIMLEY, native place unknown, who stands charged with having, on the 4th October, 1891, in the barony of Borough of Limerick, parish of St. John's, stolen a coat and trowsers and a sum of about twenty- five cr twenty- six shillings, the property of gunner John Johnston, Royal Artillery :— Cicatrix inner side of left knee and leg, tattoo marks on back and front of both forearms; gray eyes, fresh complejiirn, 5 feet 8^ inches high, about 21 years of awe, dark brown hair. This man deserted from the 69th Field Battery, Royal Artillery, at Limerick, on the 4th of October, 1891, and miy be wearing the clothes which he stole, which are of the following description, dark tweed coat and trowsers. Description of JOHN PURCELL, native of Mona- mondra, Queen's County, who stands charged with having, on the 14th October, 1891, at Ballycleary, in the barony cf Upperwoods, parish of Offerlane, stolen the f un of 10s. from his master:— Light brown eyes, hooked nose, sandy complexion, thin face, medium maVe, 5 feet 8 inches high, about 36 years of age, thin sandy beard, sandy hair; wore a soft black hat, dark morning coat, and barracan trowsars, no vest; is a tramping labourer. Description of ROBERT SLEATOR ( matter's surname Foster), rative of Behey, who stands charged with having, on the 17th day of October, 1891, in the barcny of Tirerrill, parish of Ballysodare, stolen an iron gate, valne £ 3, the property of John Coleman, Collconey:— Small fair moustache, gray or blue eyes, slightly hooked note, fair complexion, thin face, medium mate, 5 feet 9 inches high, about 30 years of ago, fair hair; wore a black hard hat, tweed coat, trowaere, and vest, sometimes wears an overcoat, Newmarket make; is a farmer's son; served in the R I. C. This man was bailed to take his trial for said ofFence at Riverstown Petty Sessions oa 28th ult., but failed to surrender to his recognizances. Description of MICHAEL M'INERNEY ( mother's surname Duggan), native of Tipperary, who stands charged with having, on tbe 9th of Novembor, 1891, in tbe tarony of Clanwilliam. parish of Tippersry, seriously assaulted John Rielly, of Garryshane, by striking him with a stone cn the head, from the effects of which ho died on 20th Novembor, 1891:— Round high shoulders, short neck, awkward gait, large high mouth, generally keeps his hands in his trowsars pocktts; very large blue eyes, .. lightly cocked nose, fresh complexion, freckled f.:*? « , stout make, 5 feet 6 or 7 inches high, about 21 years of age, fair hair ; wore a gray tweed cap, brown tweed sack coat, brown tweed trowsers, and tweed vest; is a feather plucker ard labourer. Description of JAMES BRIEN, alias BRIEN THE RAKE ( mother's surname Power), native of Tip- perary, S. B., who stands charged with having, on the 22nd October, 1891, in the barony of Slievardagh, parish of Newtown, stolen the sum c'f £ 18 from his emfelojer, James Whelan, of Oldcastle:— Walks with a heavy slovenly gait; light brown eyes, slightly cocked nose, rather sallow complexion, large bold full face, stont square make, 5 feet 7 or 8 inches higb, about 22 or 23 years of ego, fairish hair; wore a brown tweed cap with peak and earflaps tied at top, coarse brown tweed sack coat and trowsers, dark vest; is a labourer and deserter from army; frequents Kil- kenny and Waterford. Description of MICHAEL STAPLETON ( mother's surnarre Purcell), native of Gortkelly, and TWO MEN unknown, native places unknown, who stand charged with having, on the 3rd September, 1891, in the barony of Eliogarty, parish of Temple- more, seriously assaulted Sergeant Thomas Devany and Constable James Drohan, R. I. C., while in the execution of their duty :— 1. Small sandy side whiskers and moustache, good looking, blue eyes, regular nose, pale complexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 8 inches high, about 29 years of age, sandy hair; wore a soft black hat, lost in the row and now in possession of the Police, blue overcoat, and black trowsers and vest. Is a Farmer and returned American. 2. Round shoulders, fresh cut on eyebrow, blue eyea, sandy complexion, round face, stout make, 6 feet Ugh, about 34 years of age, sandy hair; wore a soft black hat, brown tweed coat, and black trowsers and vest. 3. Fresh cut on forehead, blue eyes, yellow com- plexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 30 years of age, fair hair; wore a soft black hat, dark tweed coat, brown trowsers, and black vest. Warrant issued for arrest of No. 1. Templemore, 5th Sept., 1891. ( 11494 0.— 93169.) Description of PATRICK DELANEY, native of Holycross, county Tipperary, who stands charged with having, cn the 15th day of July, 1891, in the barony of Clanwilliam, parish of Tipperary, and town of Tipperary, when under arrest for larceny of whiskey from a dwelling, escaped from custody:— Blotches on face, very sharp manner of speaking; gray eyes, very email nose, red complexion, very thin faca, slight make, 5 feet 8 inches high, about 45 years of age, dark hair turning gray; were an old tweed coat, dark trowsers, and old vest; shabby clothes, coat torn on left arm; is a tramp, Warrant for his arrest with District Inspector, Tipperary. Description of PATRICK DWYER, native of Grovestown, Dundrum, who stands charged with having, on or about the 4th June 1891, at Ballygur- rane, in tho barony of Kilnamanagh, Lower, parish of Oughterleague, stolen four yearling cattle, tho pro. perty of Rhody Dwyer, off his farm at Ballygurrane: — Delicate looking, stands erect, shaves all face except slight moustache, dark eyes, regular nose, dark com- plexion, thin face, slight make, 5 feet 9 inches high, about 32 years of age, dark hair; wore a brown hat with crape band, plaid sack coat, black cloth trousers, plaid vest; is a clerk. Description of ANDREW M'CREA, native of Killowen, who stands charged with having, on the 9th October, 1891, in the barony of Omagh West, p irish of Longfield West, fired a sh'et at John M'Menamin:— Shaved all his face recently except moustache, which is nsady; brown eyes, regular nose, fresh complexion, round fqll face, stout make, 5 feet 7£ incnes high, about 28 years of age, sandy hair; is a Labourer. Warrant for arrest in the hands of Sergeant Mulcahy at Drumquin. Newtownstewart, 14th October, 1891. 12193 c— 94309. Waterford. Description of THOMAS CASHEL ( mother's surname Foley), native of Cappcquin, who stands charged with having, on or about the 3rd September, 1891, in the barony of Coshmore and Coshbride, parish of Lismore, stolen a letter containing a postal order for 15*. Walks with a slight stoop and swaggering gait, gray or blue eyes, regular noge, fresh complexion, full face, medium make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 18 years of age, fair hair; were a light tweed cap, dark tw* ed coat, dark trowaers and vest; is a servant boy. It is probable he may have enlisted. Warrant has been issued for his arrest in bands of District Inspector, Cappoquin. Cappoquin, 23rd Oct., 1891. ( 122,55 c.— S4555.) Wicklow. Psrticulars relative to Convict THOMAS BURNS, 0. 128, convicted at tbe Recorder's Court, Belfast, county Antrim, on 17th February, 1857, for break- ing end entering, and larceny, and previous conviction, and sentenced to 5 years' penal servitude :— 28 years of aee on conviction, single, is an iron turner, born at Falls road, Belfast, resided at Belfast before conviction; has friends residing at Divis- street, Bel- fast:— Fair hair, gray eyes, " fair eyebrows, broad nose, medium mouth, fresh complexion, oval visage, stout make, 5 feet inches high, scar on forehead, right knee, and le.' t breast, two dots between left thumb and finger, lost several upper teeth. This man was released en licence from Mountioy Prison on 28th April, 1891, end went to Belfast. He loft his residence on the 16th ult. without reporting t0 the Police, and his present whereabouts is unknown. Description of a mare, the property of Jeremiah Ryan, which either strayed or was stolen from the lands of Cromwell, parish of Ballinlough, barony of Small County, on the night of Ist or morning of 2nd day of November, 1891 :— Dark bay mare, 14J hands high, two hind legs and one fore leg white at fetlocks, white stripe on forehead down to nose, small white spot on right side of neck, in good condition, about 12 years af age, was nearly blind in both eyes, but not discernible cn looking at tho eyes; value for £ 8. Description of a revolver, property of Earl de Montalt which wss stolen from the dwelling- house occupied by his caretaker, John Roche, at Monroe, parish of Clonoulty, end barony of Lower Kilna- managh, on Sunday, 27th September, 1891:— A five- chambered revolver, loaded in three chambers, the words „ British Bulldog " and " Hawarden," in small letters, engraved on ban- el, about 6£ inches long, bluish colour, old and rnBty, the barroll thick, about 3£ inches long, round on outside, four grooves on inside, a strap of metal running back from the barrell along the stock and continuing up to the trigger- guard, dark wooden stock; value for £ 1. 4th October, 1891. Description of plate, the property of Ardnurcher Parish, which was stolen from the Protestant Church at Horseleap, parish of Ardnurcher, barony of Moy- cashel, on the 28th or 29th day of August, 1891, probably by tinkers:— One large flagon, supposed silver, broad at bottom, tapering to top, side straight, had a lid, handle, and spout, no inscription; one chalice, gold lined, no inscription, goblet- shaped, similar to a large wine- glass, supposed silver, but may be plated; one paten, supposed silver, may be plated, has a raised bottom of about two inches, size of a breakfast plate, inscribed" Ardnurcher Church "; one alms- dieh, very small, silver, quite flat, with a rim, inscribed " Horse- leap Church, 1806.
