Description of WILLIAM JOHN SCOTT, native place unknown, who stands charged with having, on the 28th September, 1891, at Portrush, in the barony of Lower Dunluce, parish of Ballywillin, when under arrest for larceny o( clothing, assaulted Constable William Buchanan, and escaped from custody:— Dark brown eyes, regular nose, sallow complexion, thin facs, slight make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 30 years of age, dark hair; wore a faded gray tweed coat, gray tweed trowsers and vest; is a tramp, sings in towns, and served in the militia. Description of the undernamed yonng offender, who, on the 11th September, 1891, absconded from the Malone Reformatory School at Belfast :— HUGH BELL, 16 years of ago, brown hair, brown eyes, brown eyebrows, regular nose, large mouth, fresh complexion, oval visage, stout make, 4 feet 10 inches higlr, scrofula marks on left side of neck, chicken- chested ; is a farm boy; formerly belonged to Cliiton- street, Belfast, where he was born; his parents reside at 86, Boundry- street; bis uncle, George Bell, Farmer, lives at Ballykeel, Dromore, county Down. Dressed when ho absconded in a Glengarry cap, dark tweed: uket, trowsere, and Vest, blue and white striped shin, ri and black check tie, Blucher boots, and woollen stockings. The Manager of the Reformatory will defray the expenses of his conveyance, if arrested, to the nearest Justice on remand, and will reward the person who may capture him with £ 1. 17th September, 1891. DE COBAIN, native of Belfast, who stands charged that he did, within the past two years, at Belfast, commit an act of gross indecency with another male person, and within the same time, and at the place aforesaid did u^ Ue dive other male persons to commit sodomy":— Walks jerect, square shoulders, corpulent, contracts eyebrows " when speaking, gray eyes, regular nose, pale complexion, full face, stout make, 5 feet 10 inches high, abe t 48 years of age, dark brown hair; wore a silk hat, black Chesterfield overcoat, black frock coat, dark trousers, and dark vest; is a Member of Parliament. Description of EDWARD WATSON, native of High Broughton, Manchester, who stands charged with having, on the 30th day of September, 1891, in the barony of Barrymore, parish of Templerobin, stolen the sum of £ 9 * s. 3d., the moneys of Herbert Ravenscroft, Lieutenant 1st Batt. Manchester Regi- ment; and also with having embezzled about £ P, moneys of Military Canteen at Rocky Island, Cork Harbour:— Has lost front tooth in upper jaw, blue eyes, reddish nose, fresh complexion, round full face, stout make, 5 feet 6 inches high, ab > ut 24 years of ago, fair moustache and hair; wore a hard low hat dark tweed coat, trowsers, aad vest; is a sergeant 1 st Batt. Description of MICHAEL CORCORAN, native of Kildare town, who stands charged with having, during the past two months in the barony of Clonmac- neon, parish of Kilclooney, wilfully neglected to main- tain his two children, in consequence whereof they have become chargeable, and are still chargeable to the rates of Ballinasloe Poor Law Union:— Hole on back of neck, with scar across therefrom about I i inches long, tatooed marks ( probably figures of women) on both arms, blue eyes, ordinary nose, sallow com- plexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet, 7 inches high, about 45 years of ago, dark hair, dark beard ' worn full; wore a brown hard hat, black short coat, corduroy trowsers, brown vest; spent 13 years in army, spent pait 4 years in Tullow, county Carlow, in the employ- ment of a Mr. Patrick Kelly; is a labourer. Description of the undernamed young offender, who, on the 20th September, 1891, absconded from the Philipstown Reformatory School at King's County:— WILLIAM LAWLER, No. 1171, 19 years of ago, about 5 feet inches high, medium make, fresh complexion, brown hair, brown eyes, ordinary nose, ordinary mouth, oval visage ; three dots, cross, and small stroke on left arm, scald on back of head ; formerly belonged to Dublin; his mother, Jane Lawler, resides at 3, Ranelagh- avenue, Dublin. The drefs consists of:— Black hard felt hat, mole- skin trowsers, navy blue serge jacket and vest, Blucher boots. He is a good baker; he may try to hire with a baker or farmer, or he may enlist. Description of MICHAEL CONNOLLY, native place unknown, who stands charged with having, on the 13th October, 1891, in the barony of Upper Ormond, parish of Aghnameadle, indecently assaulted Annie Quinlisk, aged 14 :— Regular nose, fair, inclined to red, complexion, regular face, medium make, 5 fast 6 inches high, about 27 or 28 years of » ga ; wore a gray coat, grar trow .' era, and black peaked cap, flit crown; is a farm servant and discharged soldier. Description of EUGENE MOORE, native place unknown, who stands charged with having, on the 17th day of September, 1891, in the barony of Iffa and Offa Fast, parish of St. Mary's, stolen a b'ue waterproof overcoat, the proporty of Mr. John Hurley, Carrick- on- Soir, which has since been recovered :— Mark of recent cut on bridge of no- e, light gray eyes, short thick nose, dark sallow complexion, broad face, merinm make, 5 feet 5 inches high, about 87 or 38 > ears of age, dark brown hair; is a horse trainer. Description of MICHAEL CONNELL ( mother's surname Ryan), native of Knickshanbrittas, who stands charged with having, on the 17th September, 1891, in the barony of Kilnamanagh, Upper, parish of Doon, seriously assaulted Rodger Ryan, by striking him on tho head with a stone, thereby placing his life in danger;— Marks of sore on left cheek, hardy active appearance, nose sharp, pointed, and turned to one side, narrow mouth with cocked lips, high cheek bones, gray eyes, long tMn nose, Iresh complexion, shaves all his face except moustache, which is clipped short, dark hair, medium make, 5 feet 8 inches high, about 31 years of age; wore A frieze frock coat, tweed trowsers and vost; is a farmer's son. Description of MICHAEL STAPLETON ( mother's surname Purcell), native of Gortkelly, and TWO MEN unknown, native places unknown, who stand charged with having, on the 3rd September, 1891, in the barony of Eliogarty, parish of Temple- more, seriously assaulted Sergeant Thomas Devany and Constable James Drohan, R. I. C., while in the execution of their duty :— 1. Small sandy side whiskers and moustache, good looking, blue eyes, regular nose, pale complexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 8 inches high, about 29 years of age, sandy bair; wore a soft black hat, lost ia the row and now in possession of the Police, blae overcoat, and black trowsers and vest. Is a Farmer and returned American. 2. Round shoulders, fresh cut on eyebrow, blue eyes, sandy complexion, round face, stout make, 6 feet high, about 34 years of age, sandy hair; wore a soft black hat, brown tweed coat, and black trowsers and vest. 3. Fresh cut cn forehead, blue eyes, yellow com- plexion. round face, stent make, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 30 years of age, fair hair; wore a soft black hat, dark tweed coat, brown trowsers, and black vest. Description of PATRICK DELANEY, native of Holycross, county Tipperary, who stands charged with having, on the 16th day of July, 1891, in the barony of Clanwilliam, parish of Tipperary, and town of Tipperary, when under arrest for larceny of whiskey from a dwelling, escaped from custody: Blotches on face, very sharp manner of speaking; gray eyes, very small nose, red complexion, very thin lace, slight make, 5 feet 8 inches high, about 45 years of » ge, dark hair turning gray; were an old tweed coat, dark trowsers, and old vest; shabby clothes, coat torn on left arm; is a tramp, Warrant for his arrest with District Inspector, Tipperary. Description of PATRICK DWYER, native of Grovestown, Dundrum, who stands charged with having, on or about the 4th June, 1891, at Ballygur- rane, in the barony of Kilnamanagh, Lower, parish of Oughterleague, stolen four yearling cattle, the pro. perty of Rhody Dwyer, off his farm at Ballygurrane: — Delicate looking, stands erect, shaves all face except slight moustache, dark eyes, regular nose, dark com- plexion, thin face, slight make, 5 feet 9 inches high, about 32 years of age, dark hair; wore a brown hat with crape band, plaid sack coat, black cloth trousers, plaid vest; is a clerk. ( 11148 c— 92603) Tyrone, Description of ANDREW M'CREA, native of Killowen, who stands charged with having, on the 9tb October, 1891, in the barony of Omagh West, parish of Longfield West, fired a shot at John M'Menamin:— Shaved all his face recently except moustache, which is sandy: brown eyes, regular no? e, fresh complexion round full face, stout make, 5 feat incnes high, about 28 years of age, smdy hair; is a Labourer. Description of MICHAEL STACHAM ( mother's surname Byrne), and JAMES HAYES ( mother's surname Waters), natives of Seven Churches, county Wicklow, who stand charged with having, cn the night of 5th or morning of 6th August, 1891, in the barony of Ballinacor North, parish of Derrylossary, and county Wicklow, stolon two scythes, the property of John Richardson and Richard Johnston, both of Laragh East:— 1. Blue eyes, regular nose, rather pale complexion, round face, stout make, shaves all his face which is very small, 5 feet 4 or 5 inches high, about 22 years of age, dark brown hair; wore a dark tweed coat, light tweed trowsers and vest. 2. Blue eyes, long thin co) o, sallow complexion, thin face, medium make, shaves his face except moustache, which is very small and li; ht colour. 5 feet 6 or 7 inches high, about 22 or 23 years of age; wore a dark serge sack coat, light tweed trowsers and vest. DUBLIN METROPOLITAN POLICE, G Division. Particulars relative to convict JOHN O'BRIEN, c. 166, convicted * t the Dublin Co amission on 3rd August, 1887, for larceny, and sentenced to 5 years; 61 years of age on conviction, married, is a painter, born in Dublin, where ho resided bofore conviction, and where his friends reside:— Gray hair, bluo eyes, brown eyebrows, medium nose, small month, ir sh complexion, oval visage, proportionate make, 5 feet inches high; lost three upper front teeth, sore mark on ljft sfcio, swelling vein in calf of right leg. This man was released from Maryboro' Prison, 9th July, 1891, on licanoe. He left bis residence, 20, North Cumberland- street, Dublin, without reput- ing same to the Police, and his present whereabouts is unknown. In the event of his arrest he should be dealt with under the 5th section of the Act 34 and 35 Vic., cap. 112. ( 432 H. C.) Particulars relative to Supervisee GEORGE GRIMES, convicted at Liverpool County Sessions, on 17th January, 1888, for receiving stolen cotton, and sentenced to 2 years' hard labour and 3 years police supervision — 49 years or age on conviction, dark brown hair, tfcin on crown, hazal rya°, fresh complexion, proportionate ma\ e, 5 feet 7| inches high, cut each side of forehead, right eyebrow, bridge of nose, left cheek bone, and on inside of le't shin; is a marine store dealer; born in county Armagh; resided before conviction at 3, Camden- street, Bootle. Description of a man, suppored name BARTER, native place unknown, chargcd with larceny of jewellery from lodginghouse ( for desaription sie prope'ty stolen):— About 25 years of age, 5 fest 6 inches high, fair complexion, brown hair end moustache, very bright eyes colour unknown, pointed chin, has good appearance and address; dressed in a black hard felt hat, brown tourist's suit, and lace boots. Left behind him a brown leather portmanteau fastened with a brass padlock, and a new small- sized Gladstone bag, nickle lock and end fastenings, containing a small common American cloth hand- bag and two metal electric light globe ornaments, shape of tulip, an iron case opener, and a small saw in handle. His wife is said to reside in South Side, Glasgow, and he is said to have been a member of a Good Templar Lodge in that district. Description of a pony, tho property of John Redington, Esquire, Sub- Sheriff, which wes stolen from the pound at Charlestown, parish of Killian, barony of Killian, on the 23rd day of September, 1891 :— Cream- coloured colt, with black points, over two years old, about 12 ham's high; value for about £ 12. Description of a donkey, the property of Michael King, of Knocknacaska, which was stolen from Tralee market, parish of Tralee, barony of Trughenackmy, on the 19th day of September, 1891:— A he donkey, black colour, wart on belly, not shod; value 15*. Description of an ass, property of Michael Ashe, of Staplestown, which was stolen off the public road of Staplestown, parish of Ballinafagh, barony of Clane, on 27th Saptember, 1891:— Gray gelding, shod on two fore feet, small but strong; value about £ 3. Believed to have been taken by a driver named " Loughrea," who is low sized, gray hair, no front teeth; wore brown hat, dark coat, moleskin trowsers. He can be indentified by Donadea police. Description of an ass, the property of Edward Prendergast, which was stolen from the lands of Carrickmacintyre, parish of Annagh, barony of Costello, on night of 6th or morning of 7th October, 1891:— Mare ass, dark brown colour, eight years old, w as rearing a foal, unshod and hoofs nncut, but may lave been pared and shod since; rough scar just above hocf m one of fore legs; \ alue 80j. Description of articles, the property of Bridget Flynn, which weie stolen from her dwellinghouse, at Woodtown, parish of Culmullen, barony of Upper Deece, on the 18th day of August, 1891:— One dark frock coat, one light - colcured vest, one dark gray trowsers, one striped necktie, two old white single blankets, one oalico sheet, cna bag containing some groceries, and a two- shilling piece; value £ 1 10s. Description of a revolver, property of Earl de Montalt which was stolen from the dwelling- house occupied by his caretaker, John Roche, at Monroe, parish of Clonoulty, and barony of Lower Kilna- managh, on Sunday, 27th September, 1891:— A five chambered revolver, loaded in three chambers, the words „ British Bulldog" and " Hawarden," in small letters, engraved on barrel, about 6^ inches long, bluish colour, old and rusty, the barrell thick, about 3£ inches long, round on outside, four grooves on insida, a strap of metal running back from the barrell along the stock and continuing np to the trigger- guard, dark wooden stock t valne for £ 1. 4th October, l » 91. Description of plate, the property of Ardnurcher Parish, which was stolen from the Protestant Church at Horseleap, parish of Ardnurcher, barony of Moy- cashel, on the 28th or 29th day of August, 1891, probably by tinkers:— One large flagon, supposed silver, broad at bottom, tapering to top, side straight, had a lid, handle, and spout, no inscription; one chalice, gold lined, no inscription, goblet- shaped, similar to a large wine- glass, supposed silver, but may be plated; one paten, supposed silver, may be plated, has a raised bottom of abont two inches, siza of a breakfast plate, inscribed" Ardnurcher Church"; one alms- dish, very small, silver, quite flat, with a iim, inscribed " Horse- leap Church, 1806.
