ROYAL IRISH CONSTABULARY, Antrim. Description of WILLIAM JOHN SCOTT, native place unknown, who stands charged with having, on the 28th September, 1891, at Portrush, in the barony of Lower Dunluce, parish of Ballywillin, when under arrest for larceny of clothing, assaulted Constable William Buchanan, and escaped from custody:— Dark brown eyes, regular nose, sallow complexion, thin face, slight make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 30 years of age, dark hair; wore a faded gray tweed coat, gray tweed trowsers and vest; is a tramp, sings in towns, and served in the militia. Description of the undernamed young offender, who, on the Uth September, 1891, absconded from the Malone Reformatory School at Belfast :— HUGH BELL, 16 years of age, brown hair, brown eyes, brown eyebrows, regular nose, large mouth, fresh complexion, oval visage, stout make, 4 feet 10 inches high, scrofula marks on left side of neck, chicken- chested ; is a farm boy; formerly belonged to Clifton- street, Belfast, where he was born; his parents reside at 86, Boundry- street; bis ancle, George Bell, Farmer, lives at Ballykeel, Dromore, county Down. ^ Dressed when he absconded in a Glengarry cap, dark tweed jacket, trowsers, and vest, blue and white striped shirt, red ana black check tie, Blucher boots, and woollen stockings^ The Manager of the Reformatory will defray the expenses of his conveyance, if arrested, to the nearest ostice on remand, and will reward the person who capture him with £ 1. 17th September, 1891. DE COBAIN, native of Belfast, who stands charged that he did, within the past two years, at Belfast, commit an act of gross indecency with another male person, and within the same time, and at the place aforesaid did incite divers other male persons to commit sodomyWalks erect, square shoulders, corpulent, contracts eyebrows when speaking, gray eyes, regular nose, pale complexion, full face, stoat make, 6 feet 10 inches high, about 48 years of age, dark brown hair; wore a silk hat, black Chesterfield overcoat, black frock coat, dark trowsers, and dark vest; is a Member of Parliament. Description of EDWARD WATSON, native of High Broughton, Manchester, who stands charged with having, on the 30th day of September, 1891, in the barony of Berrymore, parish of Templerobin, stolen the sum of £ 9 Ht. 3d., the moneys of Herbert Ravenscroft, Lieutenant 1st Batt. Manchester Regi- ment; and also with having embezzled about £ 8, moneys of Military Canteen at Rocky Island, Cork Harbour:— Has lost front tooth in uppjr jaw, blue eyes, reddish nose, fresh complexion, round full face, stout make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 24 years of age, fair moustache and hair; wore a hard low hat,- dark tweed coat, trowsers, and vest; is a sergeant 1 st Batt. Manchester Regiment. Left Rocky Island in uniform about 9.30 p. m., and Queenstown by 11 p. m. train, 30th September, dressed in now dark tweed suit. Warrant issued. Queenstown, 3rd Oct., 1891. Description of WILLIAM WILSON, native of Belfast, who stands charged with having, on the 21st September, 1891, in the barony of Upper Castleraagh, parish of Drumbo, stolen a suit of clothes, a pair of shoes, a cap, and £ 3 in single notes, from the dwelling- house of one John Bourke, and with having broken out therefrom:— Sore on back of right hand, scab on left cheek, red cheeks, stoppage in speech, blue eyes, sharp nose, fresh complexion, fresh face, medium make, 5 feet 9 inches high, about 26 years of age, very fair hair; wore a blue cap, dark tweed coat, striped tweed trowsers, and dark tweed vest, Lorne shoes, being the clothes stolen ; is a labourer. Description of the undernamed young offender, who, on the 20th September, 1891, absconded from the Philipstown Reformatory School at King's County:— WILLIAM LAWLER, No. 1171, 19 years of age, about 5 feet 6£ inches high, medium make, fresh complexion, brown hair, brown eyes, ordinary nose, ordinary mouth, oval visage ; three dots, croai, and small stroke on left arm, scald on back of head ; formerly belonged to Dublin; his mother, Jane Lawler, resides at 3, Ranelagh- avenue, Dublin. The dress consists of:— Black hard felt hat, mole- skin trowsers, navy blue serge jacket and vest, Blucher boots. He is a good baker; he may try to hire with a baker or farmer, or he may enlist. The Manager of the Reformatory will defray the expenses of his conveyance, if arrested, to the nearest Justice on remand, and will reward the person who may capture him with 10s. 28th September, 1891. Description of EUGENE MOORE, native place unknown, who stands charged with having, on t^ e 17th day of September, 1891, in the barony of Iffa and Ofla East, parish of St. Mary's, stolen a blue waterproof overcoat, the property of Mr. John Hurley, Carrick- on- Suir, which has since been recovered :— Mark of recent cut on bridge of nose, light gray ejes, short thick nose, dark sallow complexion, broad face, medium make, 5 feet 6 inches high, abont 37 or 38 5ears of age, dark brown hair; is a horse trainer. Description of MICHAEL CONNELL ( mother's surname Ryan), native of Knockshanbrittas, who stands charged with having, on the 17th September, 1891, in the barony of Kilnamanagh, Upper, parish of Doon, seriously assaulted Rodger Ryan, by striking him on the head with a stone, thereby placing his life in danger;— Marks of sore on left cheek, hardy active appearance, nose sharp, pointed, and turned to one side, narrow month with cocked lips, high cheek bones, gray eyes, long thin nose, fresh complexion, shaves all his face except moustache, which is clipped short, dark hair, medium make, 5 feet 8 inches high, about 31 years of age; wore a frieze frock coat, tweed trowsers and vost; is a farmer's son. Description of MICHAEL STAPLETON ( mother's surname Purcell), native of Gortkelly, and TWO MEN unknown, native places unknown, who stand charged with having, on the 3rd September, 1891, in the barony of Eliogarty, parish of Temple- more, seriously assaulted Sergeant Thomas Devany and Constable James Drohan, R. I. O., while in the execution of their duty :— 1. Small sandy side whiskers and moustache, good looking, blue eyes, regular nose, pale complexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 8 inches high, about 29 years of age, sandy hair; wore a soft black hat, lost in the row and now in possession of the Police, blue overcoat, and black trowaera and vest. Is a Farmer and returned American. 2. Round shoulders, fresh cut on eyebrow, blue eyes, sandy complexion, round face, stout make, 6 feet high, about 34 years of age, sandy hair; wore a soft black hat, brown tweed coat, and black tro wears and vest. 3. Fresh cut on forehead, blue eyes, yellow com- plexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 80 years of age, fair hair; wore a soft black hat, dark tweed coat, brown trowsers, and bkck vest. Description of PATRICK DELANEY, native of Holycross, county Tipperary, who stands charged with having, on the 16th day of July, 1891, in the barony of Clanwilliam, parish of Tipperary, and town of Tipperary, when nnder arrest for larceny of whiskey from a dwelling, escaped from custody: Blotches on face, very sharp manner of speaking; gray eyes, very small nose, red complexion, very thin lace, slight make, 5 feet 8 inches high, about 45 years of age, dark hair turning gray; wore an old tweed coat, dark trowsers, and old vest; shabby clothes, coat torn on left arm ; is a tramp, Warrant for his arrest with District Inspector, Tipperary. Description of PATRICK DWYER, native of Grovestown, Dundrum, who stands charged with having, on or about the 4th June, 1891, at Ballygur- rane, in the barony of Kilnamanagh, Lower, parish of Oughterleague, stolen four yearling cattle, the pro- perty of Rhody Dwyer, off his farm at Ballygurrano: — Delicate looking, stands erect, shaves all face except slight moustache, dark eyes, regular nose, dark com- plexion, thin face, slight make, 6 feet 9 inches high, about 32 years of age, dark hair; wore a brown hat with crape band, plaid sack coat, black cloth trousers, plaid vest; is a clerk. Description of MICHAEL STACHAM ( mother's surname Byrne), and JAMES HAYES ( mother's surname Waters), natives of Seven Churches, connty Wicklow, who stand charged with having, on the night of 5th or morning of 6th August, 1891, in the barony of Ballinacor North, parish of Derrylossary, and county Wicklow, stolen two scythes, the property of John Richardson and Richard Johnston, both of Laragh East:— 1. Blue eyes, regular nose, rather pale complexion, round face, stout make, shaves all his face which is very small, 5 feet 4 or 5 inches high, abont 22 years of age, dark brown hair; wore a dark tweed coat, light twoed trowsers and vest. 2. Blue eyes, long thin noie, sallow complexion, thin face, medium make, shaves his face excapt moustache, which is very small and light colour, 5 feet 6 or 7 inches high, about 22 or 23 years of age; wore a dark serge sack coat, light tweed trowsers and vest. Particulars relative to Supervisee GEORGE GRIMES, convicted at Liverpool County Sessions, on 17th January, 1888, for receiving stolen cotton, and sentenced to 2 years' hard labour and 3 years police supervision :— 49 years of age on conviction, dark brown hair, thin on crown, hazel ey « « , fresh complexion, proportionate make, 5 feet 7} inches bigh, cut each side of forehead, right eyebrow, bridge of nose, left cheek bone, and on inside of left shin; is a marine store dealer; born in county Armagh; resided before conviction at 3. Camden- street, Bootla. This man left Emyvale without reporting to police, and is supposed to have gone to Glasgow. ( 431 H. C.) Description of a man, supposed name BARTER, native place unknown, charged with larceny of jewellery from lodginghouse ( for description sae property stolen):— About 25 years of age, 6 ( est 6 inches high, fair complexion, brown hair and moustache, very bright eyes colour unknown, pointed chin, has good appearance and address; dressed in a black hard felt hat, brown tourist's suit, and lace boots. Left behind him a brown leather portmanteau fastened with a brass padlosk, and a new small- sized Gladstone bag, nickle lock and end fastenings, containing a small common American cloth hand- bag and two metal electric light globe ornaments, shape of tulip, an iron case opener, and a small saw in handle. I J Stirlingshire. \ Wanted, for theft of a watch and a vest ( recoverecfc also a silver Albert chain, round links ( not recovered on 21st current:— HUGH ANDREWS, a painter to trade, bnt wording as a labourer, about 28 years of age, 5 feat 8 inches high, stout make, fresh complexion, reddish fair hair, sandy moustache, and small side whiskers ; dressed in yellow striped trowsers, blue cloth vest, heather mixture cloth jacket, light single peaked cap, and old lacing boots. His wife is said to reside in South Side, Glasgow, and he is said to have been a member of a Good Templar Lodge in that district. Tipperary, Description of a revolver, property of Earl de Montalt which was stolen lrom the dwelling- house occupied by his caretaker, John Roche, at Monroe, parish of Clonoulty, and barony of Lower Kilna- managh, on Sunday, 27th September, 1891:— A five chambered revolver, loaded in three chambers, the words „ British Bulldog " and " Hawarden," in small letters, engraved on barrel, about 6£ inches long, bluish colour, old and rusty, the barrell thick, about 3£ inches long, round on outside, four grooves on inside, a strap of metal running baok trom the barrell along the stock and continuing up to the trigger- guard, dark wooden stock) value for £ 1. 4th October, lb91. Description of plate, the property of Ardnurcher Parish, which was stolen from the Protestant Church at Horseleap, parish of Ardnurcher, barony of Moy- cashel, on the 28th or 29th day of August, 1891, probably by tinkers:— One large flagon, supposed silver, broad at bottom, tapering to top, side straight, had a lid, handle, and spout, no inscription; one chalice, gold lined, no inscription, goblet shaped, similar to a large wine- glass, supposed silver, but may be plated; one paten, supposed silver, may be plated, has a raised bottom of about two inches, siza of a breakfast plate, inscribed" Ardnurcher Church "; one alms- dish, very small, silver, quite flat, with a rim, inscribed " Horse- leap Church, 1806.
