W All Notices intended for insertion in the Hue- andOry are to be transmitted under cover, addressed to the Inspector- General, Royal Irish Constabulary Dublin Castle, authenticated, by a Separate Communication. No Description can bo inserted unless an Information shall have bean Sworn; but it is not accessary to forward the Informations to the Inspector- General. Notices respecting all Felonies and such Misdemeanours as are of an aggravated nature will be inserted. All Descriptions of persons whose apprehension is sought on a charge of Misdemeanour should be accompanied by a statement that a Warrant has been issued, and by the name of the person in whose hands it is. But the Constabulary should remember that they cannot arrest a person charged with an offence of this nature unless they have the " Warrant in their possession when making the arrest. Should irregularities arise in the delivery of the Hue- and- Cry, it will be necessary to forward one of the covers, or give the number it bears as without thla Information the mistake cannot be rectified. Prison and Police Authorities are particularly requested to be good enonvh to inform the Inspector- General, Royal Irish Constabulary, Dublin Castle of the abolition of Gaols, Stations, etc., and of any circumstances rendering the sup^ " the " Hue- and- Cry " no longer necessary. Descrijticm of WILLIAM JOHN SCOTT, n. tive place unknown, ' who stands charred with having, on the 28th September, 1891, at Portrush, in the barony of Lower Dunluce, parish of Ballywillin, when under arrest for larceny ot clothing, assaulted Constable William Buchanan, and escaped from custody:— Dark brown eyes, regular nose, sallow complexion, thin faca, slight make, 5 feet 6 inches high, abont 30 years of age, dark hair; wore a faded gray tweed coat, gray tweed trowsers and vest; is a tramp, sings in towns, and served in the militia. Description of the undernamed young offender, who, on the 11th September, 1891, absconded from the Melons Reformatory School at Belfast:— HUGH BELL, 16 years of age, brown hair, brown eyes, brown eyebrows, regular nose, large mouth, fresh complexion, oval visage, stout make, 4 feet 10 inches high, scrofula marks oa left wide of neck, chickou- chested; is a farm boy ; formerly belonged to Clifton- street, Belfast, where he was born; his parents reside at 86, Boundry- strcet; bis uncle, George Bell, Farmer, lives at Ballykeel, Dromore, county Down. Dressed when he absconded in a Glengarry cap, dark tweed jacket, trowsers, and vest, blue and white striped shirt, red and black check tie, Blucher boots, and woollen stockings. The Manager of the Reformatory will defray the expenses of his conveyance, if arrested, to the nearest Justice on remand, and wUl reward the person who may captnre him with £ 1. 17th September 1891. DE COBAIN, native of Belfast, who stands charged that he did, within tha past two years, at Belfast, commit an act of gross indecency with another male person, snd within the sime time, and at the place aforesaid did incite divers other male persons to commit sodomy:— Walks erect, B inare shoulders, corpulent, contracts eyebrows when 8 peaking, gray eyes, regular nose, pale complexion, fall face, stout make, 5 feet 10 inches high, about 48 yaars of age, dark brown hair; wore a silk hat, black Chesterfield overcoat, black frock coat, dark trowsers, and dark veet; is a Member of Parliament. Description of EDWARD WATSON, native of High Broughtcn, Manchester, who stands charged with baring, on the 30th day of September, 1891, in the barony of Berrymore, parish of Templerobin, stolen the sum of £ 9 3d., the moneys of Herbert Ravenscroft, Lieutenant 1st Batt. Manchester Regi- ment ; and also with having embezzled about £ a, moneys of Military Canteen at Rocky Island, Cork Harbour:— Has lost front tooth in uppar jaw, blue eyes, reddish noce, fresh complexion, round full face, stout make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 24 years of age, fair monstache and h » ir; wore a ha- d low hat dark tweed coat, trowsers, and vest; is a sargaant 1 st Batt. Description of WILLIAM WILSON, native of Belfast, who stands charged with having, on the 2! s> t September, 1891, in the barony of Upper Castlereagh, parish of Drumbo, stolen a suit of clothes, a pair of shoes, a cap, and £ 3 in single notes, from the dwelling- house of one John Bourke, and with having br. ken out therefroms— Sore on back of right hand, scab on left cheek, red cheeks, stoppage in speech, blue eyes, sharp nose, fresh complexion, fresh face, medium make, 5 feet 9 nahes high, about 26 years of age, very fair hair; woro a blue cap, dark tweed coat, striped tweed trowsers, and dark tweed vest, Lome shoes, being the clothes stolen ; is a labourer. Description of the undernamed young offender, who, on the 20th September, 1891, absconded from the Philipstown Reformatory School at King's County:— WILLIAM LAWLER, No. 1171, 19 years of age, about 5 feet inches high, medium make, fresh complexion, brown hair, brown eyes, ordinary nose, ordinary mouth, oval visage ; three dots, cros « , and small stroke on left arm, scald on back of hoa I; formorly belonged to Dub'in; his mother, Jane Lawler, resides at 3, Ranelagh- avenue, Dublin. The drefs consists of s— Black hard felt hat, mole- skin trowsers, navy blue serge jacket and vest, Blucher boots. He is a good baker; ha may try to hire with a baker or farmer, or he may enlist. Description of PATRICK NOON, ex- convict, native place unknown, who stands charged with having in his possession, on the 19th September, 1891, ia the banr. y of Ardagh, parish of Temple- michael, articles of wearing apparel, for wlieh he was unable to account satisfactorily, and it is balievcd ihny have been stolen:— A man's shirt, linen breasted ; 9 bojs' flirts ( 8 white and 1 blus); 4 chemises, 2 white pocket handkerchiefs ; 5 bibs 2 large white, I small with lace all round and crochet work in ccntre ; 2 fmall white bibs, 1 large blue bib, 3 white aprons, 1 blue check npron, 1 twilled calico towel, 2 whits twilled calico pillow covers, 1 deep b'ue striped apron, 2 red and white pocket handkerchiefs, 4 pair of stockings, 1 o'd scuff- colourtd cap, 1 white calico bsg, 1 blay- coloured child's bib : all supposed to have been stolen off hedges. His description is as fol- lows :— bald on top of bead, hazel 0} es, small fl 4 nose, sallow complexion, small face, medium mnko 5 feet 3 inches high, and about 69 years of age, dark hair turning gray; is a dealer. Description of PATRICK TANSEY ( mother's surname Doherty, native of Churchacre, who stands charged with having, on the night of the 8th September, 1891, in the barony of Boyle, parish of Kilronan, assaulted one Patrick M'Greevy, so as to place his life in danger:— Dark blue eyes, rather hooked nose, pale complexion, regular face, modium make, 5 feet 11 inches high, about 25 years of age, dark hair; wore a hard hat, black coat, gray trowsers, and dark vest; is a farmer's son; Information sworn and warrant issued for his arrest, which is in the hands of the Sergeant at Keadue. Description of EUGENE MOORE, native pla: e unknown, who stands charged with having, on tv e 17th day of September, 1891, in the barony of Iff* and Offa Fast, parish of St. Mary's, stolen a blue waterproof overcoat, the property of Mr. John Hurley, carrick on- Suir, which has since been recovered: Mark of recent cut on bridge of nose, light gray eyes, short thick nose, dark sallow complexion, broad face, medium make, 5 feet 5 itches high, about 37 or 38 ' ears of age, daik brown hair; is a horse trainer. Description of MICHAEL CONNELL ( mother's surname Ryan), native of Knockshanbrittas, who stands charged with having, on tho 17th September, 1891, in the barony of Kilnamanagh, Upper, parish of Doon, seriously assaulted Rodger Ryan, by striking him on the head with a stone, thereby placing his lilo in danger;— Marks of sore on left cheek, hardy active appearance, nose sharp, pointed, and turned to one side, narrow mouth with cocked lips, high cheek bone3, gray eyes, long thin nose, tresh omplexion, shaves all his face except moustache, which is clipped short, dark hair, medium make, 5 feet 8 inches high, about 31 years of age; wore a frieze frock coat, tweed trowsers end vest; is a farmer's son. Description of MICHAEL STAPLETON PurCell; » native of Gortkelly, and tWo MEn unknown, native places unknown, who stind charged with having, on the 3rd September, 1891, in the barony of Eliogarty, parish of Temple- more, seriously assaulted Sergeant Thomas Devany and Constable James Drohan, R. I. C., while in the execution of their duty :— 1. Small sandy side whiskers and moustache, good looking, blue eyes, regular nose, pale complexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 8 inches high, about 29 years of ago, sandy hair; " wore a soft black hat, lost ia the row and now in possession of the Police, blue overcoat, and black trowsers and vest. Is a Farmer and returned American. 2. Round shoulders, fresh cat on eyebrow, blue eyej, sandy complexion, rounl face, stout make, 6 feet high, about 34 years of age, sandy hair; wore a soft black hat, brown tweed coat., and black trowsers aud vest. 3. Fresh cut on forehead, blue eyes, yellow com- plexion, round face, stout male, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 30 years of age, fair hair; wore a soft black hat, dark tweed ccat, brown trowsers, and black vest. Description of PATRICK DELANEY, native of Holycross, county Tipperary, who stands charged with having, on the l£ th day of July, 1891. in the barony of Clanwilliam, parish of Tipperary, and town of Tipparary, when under arrest for larceny of whiskey from a dwelling, escaped from custody :— Blotches on face, very sharp manner of speaking gray eyes, very small nose, red complexion, very thin ' ftca, slight make, 5 feet 8 inches high, about 45 years of age, dark hair turning gray; wore an old tweed coat, dark trowsers, and old vest; shabby clothes, coat torn on left arm; is a tramp, Warrant for his arrest with District Inspector, Tipperary. Description of PATRICK DWYER, native of Grovestown, Dundrum, who stands charged with having, on or about the 4th June 1891, at Ballygur- rane, in the barony of Kilnamanagh, Lower, parish of Oughterleague, stolen four yearling cattle, the pro- perty of Rhody Dwyer, off his farm at Ballygurrane — Delicate looking, stands erect, shaves all face except slight moustache, dark eyes, regular nose, dark com, plexion, thin face, slight make, 5 feet 9 inches high, about 32 years of age, dark hair; wore a brown hat with crape band, plaid sack coat, black cloth trousers, plaid vest; is a clerk. Description of MICHAEL STACHAM ( mother's surname Byrne), and JAMES HAYES ( mother's surname Waters), natives of Seven Churches, county Wicklow, who stand charged with having, on the night of 5th orm mingof 6th August, 1891, in the barony of Ballinacor North, parish of Derrylossary, and county Wicklow, stolen two scythes, the property of John Richardson and Richard Johnston, both of Laragh East:— 1. Blue eyes, regular nose, rather pale complexion, round face, stout make, shaves all his face which is very small, 6 feet 4 or 5 inches high, about 22 years of age, dark brown hair; wore a dark tweed coat, light tweed trowsers and vest. 2. Blue eyes, long thin nose, sallow complexion, thin face, medium make, shaves his face except moustache, which is very small and light colour. 5 feet 6 or 7 inches high, about 22 or 23 years of age; wore a dark serge sack coat, light tweed trowsers and vest. Sussex. ^ Description of a man, supposed name BARTER, native place unknown, charged with larceny of jewellery from lodginghouse ( for description s? o propdty stolen):— About 25 yoars of ago, 5 fet 6 inches high, fair completion, brown hair and moustache, very bright eyes colour unknown, pointed chin, has gcod appearance end a. ldros; dressed in a black hard felt bat, brown tonrist's suit and lace boots. Left behind him a brown leather portmanteau fastened with a brass padlock, and a new small sizad Gladstono bag, nickle lock and end fastenings, containing a small common American cloth hand- bag and two metal electric light globe ornaments, shape of tulip, an iroa coro opener, and a small saw in handle. Stirlingshire, War ted, for theft of a watch and a vest ( recovered); also silver Albert chair, round links ( not recovered), on 21st current :— HUGH ANDREWS, a painter to trade, but worlting as a labourer, about 28 years of age, 5 foot 3 itches high, stout make, fresh complexion, reddish fair hair, sandy moustache, and small side whiskers ; dressed in yellow striped trowsers, blue cloth vest, heather mixture cloth jacket, light single peaked cap, and old lacing boots. His wife is said to reside in South Side, Glasgow, and he is said to have been a member of a Good Templar Lodge iu that district. Description of articles of clothing, the property of Thomas Dunne, which weie stolen out o< his house at Freigh, parish of Kilmore, barony of Carbury, on 12th September, 1891, viz.:— A brown tweed coat and trowters, also a waistcoat, a pair of light laced boots, a round brown striped tweed jacket, and a brown narrow cross- barred tweed trowsers; all value for about £ 3.
