MS All Notices intended for insertion in the Huiand- Ory are to be transmitted under cover, addressed to the Inspector- General, Royal Irish Constabulary Dublin Castle, authenticated by a Separate Communication. No Description can be inserted unless an Information shall liave been Swcrn; but it is not necessary to forward the Informations to the Inspector- General. Notices respecting all Felonies and such Misdemeanours as are of an aggravated nature will be inserted. All Descriptions of persons whose apprehension is sought on a charge of Misdemeanour should be accompanied by a statement that a Warrant has ' been issued, and by the name of the person in whose hands it is. But the Constabulary should remember that they cannot arrest a person charged with an offence of tfua nature unless they have the Warrant in their possession when making the arrest. %* Should irregularities arise in the delivery of the Hue- and- Cry, it will be necessary to forward one of the covers, or give the number it bears, as without this Information the mistake cannot be rectified. Prison and Polioe Authorities are particularly requested to be good enough to inform the Inspector. General, Royal Irish Constabulary, Dublin Castles, of tha abolition of Gaols, Stations, < fcc., and of any circumstances rendering the supply of the " Hue- and- Cry " no longer necessary. Description of WILLIAM JOHN SCOTT, native place unknown, who stands charged with having, on the 28th September, 1891, at Portrush, in the barony of Lower Dunluce, parish of Balywillin, when under arrest for larceny of clothing, assaulted Constable William Buchanan, and escaped from custody:— Dark brown eyes, regular nose, sallow complexion, thin facs,' slight make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 30 years of age, dark hair; wore a faded gray tweed coat, gray tweed trowsers and vest; is a tramp, sings in towns, and served in the militia. Description of the undernamed young offender, who, on the 11th September, 1891, absconded from the Malone Reformatory School at Belfast:— HUGH BELL, 16 years of age, brown hair, brown eyes, brown eyebrows, regular nose, large mouth, fresh complexion, oval visage, stout make, 4 feet 10 inches high, scrofula marks on left side of neck, chicken- chested ; is a farm boy; formerly belonged to Clifton- street, Belfast, where he was born; his parents reside at 86, Boundry- street; bis uncle, George Bell, Farmer, lives at Ballykeel, Dromore, county Down. Dressed when he absconded in a Glengarry cap, dark tweed jacket, trowsers, and vest, blue and white striped shirt, red and black check tie, Blucher boots, and woollen stockings. The Manager of the reformatory will defray the expenses of his conveyance, if arrested, to the nearest Justice on remand, and will reward the person who may captnre him with £ 1. 17th September, 1891. DE COBAIN, native of Belfast, who stands charged that he did, within the past two years, at Belfast, commit an act of gross indecency with another male person, and within the same time, and at the place aforesaid did incite divers other male persons to commit sodomy:— Walks erect, square shoulders, corpulent, contracts eyebrows when speaking, gray eyes, regular nose, pale complexion, full facc, stout maio, 5 fnet 10 inches high, abor*'" 18 years of age, dark brown hair; wore a silk hat, black Chesterfield overcoat, black frock coat, dark trowsers, and dark vest; is a Member of Parliament. Templerobin, stolen the sum of £ 9 Sd., the moneys of Herbert Ravenscroft, Lieutenant 1st Batt. Manchester Regi- ment; and also with having embezzle 1 about £ f, moneys of Military Canteen at Rocky Island, Cork Harbour:— Has lost front tooth in upper jaw, blue eyes, reddish nose, fresh complexion, round full face, stout make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 24 years of age, fair moustache and hair; wore a ba- d low hat dark tweed coat, trowsers, aa< f vest; is a sergaant 1 st Batt^ Manchester Regimenot. Description of WILLIAM WILSON, native of Belfast, who stands charged with having, on the 21st September, 1891, in the barony of Upper Castlereagh, parish of Drumbo, stolen a suit of clothes, a pair of shoes, a cap, and £ 3 in single notes, from the dwelling- house of one John Bourke, and with having broken out therefrom Sore on back of right hand, scab on left cheek, red cheeks, stoppage in speech, blue eyes, sharp nose, fresh complexion, fresh face, medium make, 5 feet 9 inohes high, about 26 years of age, very fair hair; wore a blue cap, dark tweed coat, striped tweed trowseTs, and dark tweed vest, Lorne shoes, being the clothes stolen ; is a labourer. P., Banagher, King's County Swaggering gait, was in the army, sallow complexion, 5 foet 7 inches high, about 25 years of age, fair bair, slight moustache; wore a dark coat; is a van driver. Description of JOHN or MICHAEL LAWLOR, native of Limerick city, who stan ' s charged with having, in the month of January, 1891, in the baron p of Kells, parish of Killamory, stolen a watch, the property of Michael Lonergan, of Roscon, which his been since recore- ed:— Blind in one eye ( probably the right), cut- mark on ear, regular nose, yellow com- plexion, regular face, medium make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 3) years of age; wore a soft hat, tweed coat, trowsers, and vest; is a trapping labonrer. King's, Description of the undernamed yoUng offender, who, on the 20th September, 1891, absconded from the Philipstown Reformatory School at King's County WILLIAM LAWLER, No. 1171, 19 years of age, about 5 feet inches high, medium make, fires' 1! complexion, brown hair, brown eyes, ordinary nose, ordinary mou'h, oval visige ; three dots, cross, and small stroke cn left arm, scald on back of heal; formerly belonged to Dublin; his mother, Jane Lawler, resides at 3, Ranelagh- avenue, Dublin. Tee dress consists of:— Black hard felt hat, mole- skin trowsers, navy b'ue serge jacket and vest, Blucher boots. He is a good baker; he may try to hire with a baker or farmer, or he may enlist. Longford, Description of PATRICK NOON, ex- convict, native place unknown, who stands charged with having in his possession, on the 19th September, 1891, in the barony of Ardagh, parish of Temple- michael, articles of wearing apparel, for which he was unable to account satisfactorily, and it is believed they have been stolen:— A man's sh; rt, linen breasted 9 bojs' pl. irta ( 8 white and 1 blu » ); 4 chemises, 2 white pocket handkerchiefs ; 5 bibs. 2 large white, 1 small with lace all round and crochet work in centre ; 2 fmall white bibs, 1 large blue bib, 3 white aprons, 1 blue check apron, 1 twilled calico towel, 2 white twilled calico pillow covers, 1 deep blue striped apron, 2 red and white pocket handkerch; efs, 4 pair of stockings, 1 o'd snuff- coloured cap, 1 white calico bog, 1 blay- coloured child's bib ; all supposed to have been stolon off hedges. His description is as fol- lows :— Bald on top of head, hazel eyes, small flat nose, sallow complexion, small faco, medium make, 5 feet 3 inches high, and about 69 years of age, dark hair turning giay; is a dealer. Description of PATRICK TANSEY ( mother's surname Doherty , native of Churchacre, who stands cbargcd with having, on the night of the 8th September, 189), in the barony of Boyle, parish of Kilronan, assaulted one Patrick M'Greevy, so as to place his life in danger:— Dark blue eyes, rather hooked no6e, pale complexion, regular face, medium make, 5 feet 11 inch's high, about 25 years of age, dark hair; wore a hard hat, black coat, gray trowsers, and dark vest; is a farmer's son. Description of MICHAEL STAPLETON ( mother's surname Purcell), native of Gortkelly, and TWO MEN unknown, native places unknown, who stand charged with having, on the 3rd September, 1891, in the barony of Eliogarty, parish of Temple- more, seriously assaulted Sergeant Thomas Devany and Constable James Drohan, B. I. C., while in the execution of their duty :— 1. Small sandy aide whiskers and moustache, good looking, bine eyes, regular nose, pale complexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 8 inches high, about 29 years of age, sandy hair; wore a soft black hat, lost in the row and now in possession of tho Police, blue overcoat, and black trowsers and vest. Is a Farmer and returned American. 2. Round shoulders, fresh out on eyebrow, blue eyea, sandy complexion, round face, stont make, 6 feet high, about 34 years of age, sandy hair; wore a soft black hat, brown tweed coat, and black trowsers and vest. 3. Fresh cut on forehead, blue eyes, yellow com- plexion, round faee, stout make, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 30 years of age, fair hair; wore a soft black hat, dark tweed coat, brown trowsers, and black vest. Description of PATRICK DELANEY, native of Holycross, county Tipperary, who stands charged with having, on the 16th day of July, 1891, in the barony of Clanwilliam, parish of Tipperary, and town of Tipperary, when under arrest for larceny of whiskey from a dwelling, escaped from custody Blotches on face, very sharp manner of speaking; gray eyes, very small nose, red complexion, very thin race, slight make, 5 feet 8 inches high, about 45 years of age, dark hair turning gray; wore an old tweed coat, dark trowsers, and old vest; shabby clothes, coat torn on left arm; is a tramp, Warrant for his arrest with District Inspector, Tipperary. Description of PATRICK DWYER, native of Grovestown, Dundrum, who stands charged with having, on or about the 4th June. 1891, at Ballygur- rane, in the barony of Kilnamanagh, Lower, parish of Oughterleague, stolen four yearling cattle, the pro- perty of Rhody Dwyer, off his farm at Ballygurrane: — Delicate looking, stands erect, shaves all face except slight moustache, dark eyes, regular nose, dark com- plexion, thin faco, slight make, 5 feet 9 inches high, about 32 years of age, dark hair; wore a brown hat with crape band, plaid sack coat, black cloth trousers, plaid vest; is a clerk. Description of MICHAEL STACHAM ( mother's surname Byrne), and JAMES HAYES ( mother's surname Waters), natives of Seven Churches, county Wicklow, who stand charged with having, on tho night of 5th or m roing of 6th August, 1891, in the barony of Ballinacor North, parish of Derrylossary, and county Wieklow, stolen two scythes, the proporty of John Richardson and Richard Johnston, both of Laragh East:— 1. Blue eyes, regular nose, rather pale complexion, round face, stout make, shaves all his face which is very small, 5 feet 4 or 5 inches high, about 22 years o' age, dark brown hair; wore a dark tweed coat, light tweed trowsers and vest. 2. Blue eyes, long thin no « e, sallow complexion, thin face, medium make, shaves his face except moustache, which is very small and light colour, 5 feet or 7 inches high, about 22 or 23 years of age; wore a dark serge sack coat, light tweed trowsers and veat. Description of the undernamed young offender, who, oh the evening of Sunday, 6th September, 1891, ^ absconded from the St. Kevin's Reformatory School nt Glencree, county Wicklow MICHAEL KELLY, 2399, about 16 years of age, about 5 feet high, ordinary make, fair and freckled com- plexion, brown hair, gray eyes, ordinary nose, ordinary mouth, round visage, " M. K." tattooed on left arm, and " M." on back of left hand; formerly belonged to 8, Clarence- place, off Great Clarence- street, Dublin; his parents reside at 26, Hanover- lane, east, Dublin. The School dress, all with Reformatory Stamp, consists of:— Cloth cap ( Scotch make), corduroy jacket, moleskin trowsers, strong nailed boots, No. 2399. The Manager of the Reformatory will defray the expenses of his conveyance, if arrested, to the nearest Justice, on remand, and will reward the person who may capture him with £ 1. 7th September, 1891. ( 423 H. C.) Tallaght ( at Lawlor's, Timmon); sister resides at 102, Bride- street, Dublin. Description of the undernamed young offender, who, on the evening of sunday, 6th September, 1891, absconded from the Saint Kevin's Reformatory School at Glencree, county Wicklow:— PATRICK CONDRON, 2318, aboat 18 or 19 years of age, abont 5 feet 4 or 5 inches high, stout make, very rod and fresh complexion, brown hair, brown eyes, thick note, ordinary mouth, round visage, blue dots on right hand and wrist; formerly belonged to 3, merchants'- quay, Dublin; his parents are dead. The School dress, all with Reformatory Stamp, consists of:— Cloth cap ( Scotch make), corduroy jacket, moleskin trowsers, strong nailed boots, No. 2313. Will probably endeavour to enlist or leave tho country. Does not appear to be quite sane sometimes. The Manager of the Reformatory will defray tho expenses of lis conveyance, if arrested, to the nearest Justice, on remand, and will reward the person who may capture him with £ 1. 7th September, 1891. Description of the undernamed young offender, who, on the evening of Sunday, 6th September, 1891, absconded from the St. Kevin's Reformatory School at Glencree, county Wicklow:— PATRICK MAY, No. 2300, about 17 years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, ordinary make, sallow com- plexion, dark brown hair, blue eyes, ordinary nose, ordinary mouth, oval visage; one front upper tooth growing inwards. Formerly belonging to Balrothery, Description of the undernamed young offender, who, on the 5th August, 1891, absconded from the St. Kevin's reformatory School, at Glencree:— WILLIAM FLOOD ( 2,286), about 17 or 18 years of age, 5 feet 4 or 5 inches high, ordinary make, fresh complexion, brown hair, gray eyes, regular nose, ordinary mouth, oval visage; formerly belonged to 161, Townsend street, Dublin, patents reside at same place; marks of sores on his neck. The school dress, all with Reformatory stamp, con- sists of gray tweed trowsers, blue serge tunic, blue serge cap ( the band uniform, trimmed with white braid), elastic- side boots, No. 2,286. Some time ago his uncle, Thomas Matthews, a sail- maker, resided at 16, Lower Gloucester- street, Dublin. Absconded with John Nolan and Owen Reilly. Tha three boys belonged to the band. The Manfiger of the Reformatory will defray the expenses of his conveyance, if arrested, to the nearest Justice, on remand, and will reward the person who may capturo him with £ 1. 6th August, 1891. DUBLIN METROPOLITAN POLICE. G Division. Description of GEORGE BATES, native of Dublin, who stands charged with having, on the 1st inst., embezzled the sum cf £ 6, the property of Messrs. Johnson and Oughton, Leinster- street, Dublin, Stationers and Newsagents :— 20 years of age, 5 feet inches high, brown hair, dark complexion, no beard, whiskers, or moustache, brown eyes, slight build, smart active appearance, good looking; dressed when last seen in old lounge suit of brown tweed, may now be wearing a blue overcoat, with velvet collar. Was heard to express his intention of going to Belfast. Warrant in the hands of Chief Superintendent. 7th September, 1891. ( 422 H. C.) Particulars relative to Convict WILLIAM GEORGE FRAZER, c 23, convicted at Ennis- killen Quarter Sessions, on 18th November, 1885, for obtaining money under false pretences ( 4 counts), and sentenced to 7 years' penal servitude; 28 years of age on conviction, can read and write, is a Roman Catholic, single, is a servant, prison trade a tailor, born near Nenagh, his friends reside in Roscrea:— Fair hair, brown eyes, light brown eyebrows, regular and long nose, largo mouth, prominent nnder- lip, fresh complexion, oval visage, medium make, 5 feet 3^ inches high; small flesh mark ^ n left arm, cut- scar back of head, oalf of left leg ulcerated. This man was released on licence from Mountjoy Convict Prison on 18th May, 1891, and went to reside in Roscrea, county Tipperary, from whence he moved to 29 City- quay, Dublin, on 19th June. He has recently left his Dublin lodgings without notifying his change of residence to the Police, and his present whereabouts is unknown. In the event of his arrest he should be dealt with under the 5th section of the Act 34 and 35 Vic., cap. 112. 23rd July, 1891. I Description of MICHAEL CONNELL m^ fe surname Ryan), native of Knockshanbrittas, tWio stands charged withfVying, on tho 17tP5eptember, 1891, in Jho t>\ roify of Kilnamanagh, Upper parish of Doon, seriously assaulted Rodger Ryan, by striking him on tho head with a* flton^ thereby placing his life in danger;— Marks m sore on left cheek, hardy active appearance, nose sharp, pointed, and turned to one side, narrow mouth with cocked lips, high cheek bones, gray eyes, long thin nose, fresh complexion, shaves all his face except moustache, which is clipped short, dark hair, medium make, .5 feet 8 inohes high, about 31 years of age; wore a frieze frock coat, tweed trowsers i nl vjst 5 is a farmer's son. Description of a man, supposed name BARTER, native place unknown, charged with larceny of jewellery from lodginghouse ( for description see property stolen):—- About 25 years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, fair complexion, brown hair and moustache, very bright eyes colour unknown, pointed chin, has good appearance and address; dressed in a black hard felt hat, brown tourist's suit, and lace boots. Left behind him a brown leather portmanteau fastened with a brass padlock, and a new small- sized Gladstone bag, nickle lock and end fastenings, containing a small common American cloth hand- bag and two metal electric light globe ornaments, shape of tulip, an iron case opener, and a small saw in handle. Police Office, Eastbourne, 28th September, 1891. ( 430 H. O.) SCOTCH POLICE. Stirlingshire, * Wanted, for theft of a watch and a vest ( recovered); also a silver Albert chair, round links ( not recovered), on 21 st current :— HUGH ANDREWS, a painter to trade, but working as a labourer, about 28 years of aga, 5 feet 3 inches high, itout make, fresh complexion, reddish fair bair, sandy iroustache, and small side wh'skers; dressed in yellow striped trowsers, blue cloth vest, heather mixture cloth jacket, light single peaked cap, and old lacing boots. His wife is said to reside in South Side, Glasgow, and he is said to have been a member of a Good Templar Lodge in that district. Description of an ass, the property of John Fallon, which was stolen from the lands of Garrensphort, parish of Cam, barony of Athlone, between 3rd and 5th September, 1891:— A large- sized gelding ass, wh'tish colour, healed marks of straddle on back on which no bair has grown, face whiter than rest of body, newly shod on front feet, appears a little lama on one of the hind legs, about 17 years old, and value for about £ 1 10/. Description of plate, the property of Ardnurcher Parish, which was stolen from the Protestant Church at Horseleap, pariah of Ardnurcher, barony of Moy- cashel, on the 28th or 29th day of August, 1891, probably bv tinkers:— One large flagon, supposed silver, broad at bottom, tapering to top, side straight, had a lid, handle, and spout, no inscription; one chalice, gold lined, no inscription, goblet- shaped, similar to a large wine- glass, supposed silver, but may be plated; one paten, supposed silver, may be plated, has a raised bottom of about two inches, size of a breakfast plate, inscribed" Ardnurcher Church"; one alms- dish, very small, silver, quite flat, with a rim, inscribed " Horse- leap Church, 1806.
