Published for Ireland on every Tuesday and Friday- RHOTTLATIOHITS. fg~ All Notices intended for insertion in the Hue- and- Cry are to be transmitted under cover, addressed to the Inspector- General, Royal Irish Constabulary Dublin Castle, authenticated by a Separate Communication. No Description can be inserted unless an Information shall have been Sworn • but it is not negessaiy te> forward the Informations to the Inspector- General Notices respecting all Felonies and such Misdemeanours as are of an aggravated nature will be inserted. All Descriptions of persons whose apprehension is sought on a charge of Misdemeanour should be accompanied by a statement that a " Warrant has been issued, • and by the name of the person in whose hands it is. But the Constabulary should remember that they cannot arrest a person charged with an offence of this nature unless they have the Warrant in their possession when making the arrest. %* Should irregularities arise in the delivery of the Hue- and- Cry, it will be necessary to forward one of the covers, or give the number it bears, as without thia Information the mistake cannot be rectified. Prison and Police Authorities are particular _ requested to be good enough to inform the Inspector- General, Royal Irish Constabulary, Dublin Castle, of the Abolition of Gaols, Stations, < fcc., and of any circumstances rendering the supply of the " Hue- and- Cry " no longer necessary. ROYAL IRISH CONSTABULARY, Antrim Description of the under- named joung offender, who, on the 19th April, 1891, absconded from the Malone Reformatory School at Belfast :— 1. ANDREW GRAHAM, 18 years of age, light brown hair, gray eyes, light eyebrows, straight nose, regular month, fresh complexion, oval visage, slight make, 5 feet 4 inches high; is a tailor; born at Partick, near Glasgow; scar under each eye, dot of ink on each hand near thumb; dressed in dark tweed jacket, trowsers, and vent, blue Glengarry cap, blue and white striped shirt, red and black check tie, Bluoher bod^ ind woollen stockings. The Manager of the Reformatory will defray the expenses of his conveyance, if arrested, to the nearest Justice, on remand, and will reward, the person who may capture him with £ 1. 27th April, 1891. Carlow. • Description of MICHAEL TIMmINS ( mother's surname Maher), native of Bannagagole, who stands charged with having, on the 9th day of March, 1891, in the barony of Idrone West, " parish of Wells, seriously assaulted - one Ellen Hanlon, by kicking her in the abdomen, end thereby placing her life in danger. This man was bailed to take his trial on above- charge at Carlow Quarter Sessions on tbe 9tli instant, but failed to put in an appearance; his . present where- abouts tre unknown :— Gray or Blue 3fes, thick nose, dark complexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 9 inches high, about 21 years of age,' bit ok hair ? wofe a soft black hat, dark tweed coat, trowodm, and vest; down- looking sullen appearance; is a farmer's son. Description of PATRICK LEONARD, native of Brackna, county Kildare, who stands charged with having, on the night of 9th or morning of 10th instant, in the barony of Maryborough West, parish of Clon- anach and Clonaheen, feloniously stolen from the dwellinghouse of Daniel Moore, of Cloney gowan, a new pair of men's bellows- tongued laced boots, no nails, brass rivets in shank, soles pegged, a man; s bfcck serge vest; a silver watch, no glass, one hand off, half inside Tlpperary. Description of JAMES DEVANNY, native of Templemore, who stands charged with having, on tne 9th May, 1891, in the barony of Ikerrin, parish of Killavanogue, stolen an ass ( since recovered), the pro- perty of John Connolly, of Templemore:— Slightly stooped shoulders, slight fair moustache, is an army reserve man; gray or blue eyes, droiped nose, fair complexion, long face, medium make, 5 feet 10 inches high, about 28 years of age, brown hair; wore a hard low bat, round dark sack coat, tweed trowsers and vest; is boots in an hotel. ( 9389 o.— 89555.) sworn, Description of JOHN O'CONNOR, native of county Waterford, who stands charged with having, on tho 11th day of May, 1891, in the barony of Iffa and Ofla East, parish of Templetenny, embezzled the sum of £ 3 17s. 4d. :— Slightly prominent teeth, dark brown eyes, slightly hooked nose, ruddy complexion, mediam make, 5 feet 6 or 7 inches high, about 47 years of age, black hair tinged with gray: wore an old blue serge coat, trowsers, and vest, and an old greasy one- peaked cap; wore a short dirty sandy moustache. Shaves his face, but not oftener than once a week. Served 11 years in the army, and dots not appear to be all right ia his head; is a labourer. Informations sworn and warrant issued for arrest. Description cf JOHN KELLY, native of King's County, who stands charged with having, on the 5th or 6th day of May, 1891. in the barony of Ikerrin, parish of Corbally, stolen from the house cf Mathew Mara, at Gortnacally, £ 5 2s., and also a suit of tweed clothes and a penknife:— Down- looking, and spots or pimplas on face, blue eyes, resrular now, fair complex- ion, round face, sto'it make, 5 feet 9 inches high, about 20 years of age, light brown hair; wore a hard hat, blue serge coat, and tweed trowsers : is a labourer ( has a flute, which he plays well). Description of CHARLES STEWART, alias PETER HANLON, alias GEORGE BROWN, says, he is a native of Armagh, who stands charged with having, on the 6th day of April, 1891, in the muni- cipal borough of Waterford, parish of Trinity Without, endeavoured to defraud a number of farmers by pretending to purchase their pigs:— Hazel eyes, long sharp now, ruddy complexion, round face, medium make, 5 feet 10 inches high, about 22 years of age, looks older, brown hair; wore a dark tweed coat, tweed trowsera, black vest, and leggings. He has lean arrested, and pending enquiries has been re- manded. He has been in Clonmel, Dundalk, Armagh, and Kilkenny Gaols for larcenies. Waterford, 10th April, 1891. Description of THOMAS DUFFY, native of deerpark, King's County, who stands charged with having, on or about 25th June, 1890, in the barony of Moycashel, parish of Kilbeggan, unlawfully stolen and carried away ten doors, two locks, and other properly ( now recovered), from the house of Joseph Phylan, Kilbeggan;— Dark eyes, pale complexion, thin face, very slight make, 5 feat 7 inches high, about 35 years of age, small black moustache ( may have shaved), no whiskers or beard; is a grocer's assistant, formerly a publican. PATRICK KELLY, alias MOFFAT ( indecent assault), Hue- and- Cry, 24th February, not arrested. ( 7017c 85272.) Wicklow. Description of the undernamed young offender, who, on the 8th May, 1891, absconded from the St. Kevin's Reformatory School, at Glencree, county Wicklow:— BENJAMIN WRIXON, 2356, about 18 or 19 years of age, 5 feet 2 or 5 feet 3 inches high, stout make, fresh complexion, brown hair, blue eyes, rather large nose, prominent mouth with very thick lips, oval visage, two small . cut- marks on f rehead ; formerly belonged to Shandon- street and Old Church- street, Cork. His parents are dead. This b y speaks with a Cork accent; he is sometimes of a very eccentric turn of mind, and would appear not to be quite sane; he will join the army if taken, but his being taken is doubttul, if examined properly. The School dress, all with Reformatory Stamp, consists of:— Cloth cap ( Scotch make), corduroy jacket, trowsers, and vest, elastic belt, strong nailed boots, No. 2356. The Manager of the Reformatory will defray the expenses of his conveyance, if arrested, to the nearest Justice, on remand, and will reward the person who may capture him with £ 1. 11th May, 1891. Description of the undernamed young offender, who, on the 8th May, 1891, absconded from the St. Kevin's Reformatory School, at Glencrea, county Wicklow :— JOHN KELLY, 2314, about 19 years of ag « ! tfc feet 3 or 5 feet 4 inches high, stout make, fair omplexion, brown hair, blue eyes, long straight nose, ordinary month, long oval visage, small cut- marks over right eye and on left knee; formerly belonged to 8, Chapter- place, Dublin. His parents reside at same place, or 6, Church- lane, off Lower Kevin- street. This boy will endeavour to enlist in the army, for which service he appears to have a great desire, and where several of his companions are already. Ho is of a rather hairy nature, and can gTow a whisk er at his pleasure. The School dress, all with Reformatory Stamp, consists of:— Cloth cap ( Scotch make), corduroy jacket, trowsers, and vest, elastic belt, strong nailed boots, No. 2314. Amended description of two bullocks, the property of Mrs. Dolan, of Moher, which were stolen off the lands cf Moher, parish of Drumreilly, and barony of Tnllyhaw, on the night of 1st May, 1891 : — 1. Two- year- old bullock, gray colour, with yellow neck, thick straight horns slightly turned out, in poor condition ; value for about £ 6 10s 2. Two- j ear- old bullock, spotted red and white, short thick drooped horns slightly turned in, a small slit on top of right ear, in fair condition ; value for about £ 7. Both coarfe mountain cattle. A gold keyless hunter watch, No. 108,584, maker, Benson, London, coat of arms on one s da, with mott « , " Miscris succurrere disco," and on the other side is a monagram, with the initials " F. R. M." 2. A gold Albert chain, fetter link, with silver sovereign case attached to chain. Tfce watch and chain is value for £ 36.
