P articular s concerning persons whose apprehension it sought will be inserted in one issue of the FOLIOB GAZBTTB, if they are sufficient to enable action to be taken upon them by another force. I. Particulari as to stolen property will be likewise inserted in one issue, if sufficient to enable ike article in question to be thereby identified. 4 In all eases where a reward it offered the name and address of some person responsible for __ tie payment must be given, and the exact conditions be clearly stated. i. Portraits of persons whose apprehension is sought for serious offtnces, and engravings of tiolen property, will be prominently inserted, with detailed particulars, at a cost of 15s. per portrait, and of 7s. 6d. per photograph or sketch of a stolen article, including the expense » f engraving on wood. $. Every announcement, if for the apprehension of a person, must be guaranteed by the signature * f an officer of not less rank than Superintendent; and, if the name of such person be required to U inserted, and no warrant is in force against him, the requisition must be signed by the chief ' Jleer » f police, or hit immediate deputy, of the county, city, or borough, as the case may be. f. Announcements concerning stolen property must be guaranteed by an officer of not less rank " i Inspector, or analogous thereto. 8. Announcements of all persons to be apprehended or of stolen property bear a number and art alphabetically arranged by countiet. 9. The force which causes particulars concerning delinquents or stolen property to be inserter in the POLICE GAZBCTB, must, on their apprehension or recovery, at once transmit to the Edi'er notice of the fact, referring to the number of the announcement for insertion in the next issue 10. In all cases, the officer signing the request for insertion of any announcement vi/ i it wholly responsible for any proceedings whic/ i mat/ result from such publication. XI. Announcements for the Friday issue should be forwarded so as to be received net later noon on Wednesday, and for the Tuesday edition not later than Saturday morning.
