ROYAL IRISH CONSTABULARY, Antrim, Description of the under- named young offenders, who, on the 19th April, 1891, absconded from the Malone Reformatory School at Belfast :— 1. ANDREW GRAHAM, 18 years of age, light brown hair, gray eyes, light eyebrows, straight nose, regular mouth, fresh complexion, oval visage, slight make, 5 feet 4 inches high; is a tailor; born at Partick, near Glasgow; scar under each eye, dot of ink on each hand near thumb; dressed in dark tweed jacket, trowsers, and vest, blue Glengarry cap, blue and white striped shirt, red and black check tie, Bluoher boots, and woollen stockings. 2. HAMILTON GREGORY, 19 years of age, brown hair, blue eyes ( sight of left not perfect), heavy eyebrows, hooked nose, ordinary mouth, pale com- plexion, round visage, medium make, 5 feet 9 inches high; is a carpenter; born at 34, Upper Leeson- street, Dublin; ship, anchor, crown, and " W. B.," cannon and colcurs, harp and crown on left arm; dressed in dark tweed jacket, trowsers, and vest, blue Glengarry cap, blue and white striped thirt, red and black check tie, Blucher boots, and woollen stockings. ' The Manager of the Reformatory will defray the expenses of their conveyance, if arrested, to the nearest Justice, on remand, and will reward the person who may capture them with £ 1 for each boy. 27th April, 1891. ( 398 H O.) Belfast. Description of EDWARD S. W. DE COBAIN, native ot Belfast, who stands charged that he did, within the past two years, at Belfast, commit an act of gross indecency with another male person, and within the same time, and at the place aforesaid did incite divers other male persons to commit sodomy:— Walks erect, square shoulders, corpulent, contracts eyebrows when speaking, gray eyes, regular nose, pale complexion, full face, stout make, 5 feet 10 inches high, about 48 years of age, dark brown hair; wore a silk hat, black Chesterfield overcoat, black frock coat, dark tfowsers, and dark vest; is a Member of Parliament. Warrant in hands of District Inspector, Detective Department, Belfast, to whom information should be sent. NOTE Arrest cannot be legally made without Warrant. • A , Belfast, 15th April, 1891. Carlow. Description of MICHAEL TIMMINS ( mother's surname Maher), native of Bannagagole, who stands charged with having, on the 9th day of March, 1891, in the barony of Idrone West, parish of Wells, seriously assaulted one Ellen Hanlon, by kicking her in the abdomen, and thereby placing her life in danger. This man was bailed to take his trial on above charge at Carlow Quarter Sessions on the 9th instant, but failed to put in an appearance; his present where- abouts are unknown:— Gray or blue eyes, thick nose, dark complexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet ,9 inches high, about 21 years of age, black hair; wore a soft black hat, dark tweed coat, trowsets, and vest; down- looking sullen appearance; is a farmer's son. Descriptions of DANIEL DALY ( mother's surname Sloane), native of Renasup, MICHAEL CAL- LAGHAN ( mother's surname Lenahan), native of Lisheen, and DENIS LEARY ( mother's surname Keeffe), native ot Lisheen, who stand charged with having, on the 20th February, 1891, in the barony of Magonihy, parish of Nohovaldaly, attacked the dwelling- house of Daniel Casey, of Lishean, and broken the windows with stones, also assaulting Daniel Casey 1. Gray eyes, long nose, fair complexion, thin face, medium make, 5 feet 8 inches high, about 24 years of age, fair hair; wore a tweed cap, gray sack coat, gray trowsers and vest; is a carpenter. 2. Bow- legged, awkward gait, leans forward when walking, blue eyes, regular nose, fair complexion, full face, stout make, 5 feet 9 inches high, about 20 years of age, fair hair; wore a tweed cap, dark sack coat, dark tweed trowsers, and flannel vert; is a labourer. 3. Description of JAMES MANNING, native of county Meath, who stands charged with having, on the 10th day. of February, 1891, in the barony of Magonihy, parish of Killarney, committed wilful and corrupt perjury:— Three teeth lost from front of mouth, stooped shoulders, short side whiskers, no moustache, gray eyes, regular nose, fresh complexion round face, stout make, 5 feet 10 or 11 inches high, about 50 years of age, sandy hair turning gray; wore a hard black hat, gray sack coat, gray trowsers, and vest; rather good looking, pretty well dressed, looks like a well- to- do farmer; is a caretaker on Lmd Cor- poration farm. Warrant in hands of District Inspector, Killarney. Killarney, 25th March, 1891. ( 7748 o.— 87633.) Kildare. Description of PATRICK KELLY, native of Dublin City, who stands cbarged with having, on the 30th March, 1891, in the barony of East Offaly, parish of Tully, stolen from the dwelling house of John Dempsey, one pair of boots and seven shillings and sixpence:— Carbuncles on face, regular nose, fair complexion, regular face, stout make, 5 feet 4 inches high, about 26 years of age, sandy hair; wore a gray plaid coat, barracan trowsers, and tweed vest; is a labourer. This man may now be in a Dublin Hospital as a patient, as it is believed ha was suffering from some disease of tie skin. Warrant in hands of District Inspector, at Kildare. Kildare, 16th April, 1891. Description of JAMES NEWMAN, native place not known, who stands charged with having, on the 25th March, 1891, at Curragh Camp, in the barony of East Offaly, parish of Ballysax, in bis possession an ass, the property of William Brady, which was stolen on the 9th March, 1891, out of Brady's yard. 8ee Hue- and- Cry of 17th March, 1891. The ass has been recovered:— Regular nose, fair complexion, thin face, slender make, 5 feet 8 or 9 inches high, about 26 years of age, dark hair; wore a gray tweed cap, round dark coat, plaid trowsers, wears shoes; is a tailor; frequents soldiers' barracks for the purpose of repairing uniform clothing. Description of MICHAEL SUNTERS ( mother's surname Leyden), native of Derrinkeher ( Roycroft), who stands charged with having, on the night of the 8th of April, 1891, in the barony of Carrigallen, parish of Oughteragh, been found in an outhouse, belonging to Patrick Guckian, of same townland, at 11 o'clock, P. M., armed with a loaded gun, with intent to commit felony :— Said to he half witted; gray or blue eyes, regnlar nose, fresh complexion, small round face, medium make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 24 years of age, dark hair; wore a hard bat, gray coat, trowsers, and vest; is a farm servant May be found in county Fermanagh as farm servant. Description of MICHAEL GRIFFIN, native of county Limerick, who stands charged with having, on the 16th day of March, 1891, in tLe barony of Pubble- brien, parish of Croom, stolen 22 sheep, the property of Benjamin Corneille, 16 of which he sold at tbe fair of Charleville, on that date:— Speaks with a slight impediment, no beard or whiskers, small dark moustache, gray or blue eyes, long thin nose, sallow complexion, long thin face, medium make, 5 feet 9 inches high, about 28 years of age, black hair; wore a gray tweed cap with one peak, gray tweed coat, trowsers, and vest, soiled: is a farmer's son. Description of WILLIAM FITZGERALD, native of Lisowen, near Doon, county Limerick, who stands charged with having, on the 6th day of September, 1889, in the barony of Coonagh, parish of DoOn, with others, murdered George Franklin;— Gray eyes, regular nose, pale complexion, regular face, medium make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 24 years of age, brown hair; wore a low hard bat, dt rk tweed coat, trowsers, and vest; is a labourer. Description of TWO MEN unknown, native place unknown ( supposed county Antrim), who stand charged with having, on the 24th day of February, 1891, in the barony of Loughinsholin, parish of Ballyscullin, illegally entered the lands of Colonel H. S. Bruce, j. p., in pursuit of game, and with having at same time and place pointed a gun at and threatened to shoot one, William H. Phillips, gamekeeper:— 1. Scar over left eyebrow, shaves all his face ; dark eyes, dark complexion, stout make, 5 feet 5 inches high, about 40 years of age, dark hair; wore a brown cap, brownish tweed coat, brown trowsers and vest. 2. High- cheek bones, shaves all his face; dark eyes, dark complexion, slight make, 6 feet high, about SO years of age, dark hair; wore a brown two- peaked cap, brownish tweed coat, brown trowsers and vest. Description of IGNATIUS HOBSON ( mother's surname Rabbit), native of county Meath, who stands charged with having, on or about the 16th April, 1891, in the barony of Upper Deece, parish of Gallow, wilfully and maliciously cut and destroyed growing trees and shrubs at Ferran's Lock Station, M. G. W. Railway, value for about £ 5:— Sullen appearance ; dark eyes, short nose, sallow complexion, fresh face, medium make, 5 feet 9| inches high, about 22 years of age, brown hair ; wore a black hard hat, dark coat, trowsers, and vest; lately signalman in M. Description of PATRICK LEONARD, native of Brackna, county Kildare, who stands charged with having, on the night of 9th or morning of 10th instant, in the barony of Maryborough West, parish of Clon- enagh and Clonaheen, feloniously stolen from the dwellinghouse of Daniel Moore, of Cloneygowan, a new pair of men's bellows- tongued laced boots, no nails, brass rivets in shank, soles pegged; a man's black serge vest; a silver watch, no glass, one hand off, half inside of case had a yellow appearance, crack across face of dial between the figures nine and three; all value for £ 2 10 » ., the property of Daniel Moore, with whom he was employed as a farm servant:— Down- looking, sir all closed- up dark eyes, regular nose, fresh com- plexion, fat face, stout make, 5 feet 8 inches high, about 20 years of age, dark brown hair; wore a black hard hat, dark long- skirted coat, gray striped trowsers, and dark vest. Description of CHARLES STEWART, alias PETER HANLON, alias GEORGE BROWN, says he is a native of Armagh, who stands charged with having, on the 6th day of April, 1891, in the muni- cipal borough of Waterford, parish of Trinity Without, endeavoured to defraud a number of farmers by pretending to purchase their pigs:— Hazel eyes, long sharp nose, ruddy complexion, round face, medium make, 5 feet 10 inches high, about 22 years of age, looks older, brown hair; wore a dark tweed coat, tweed trowsers, black vest, and leggings. He has been arrested, end pending enquiries has been re- manded. He has been in Clonmel, Dundalk, Armagh, and Kilkenny Gaols for larcenies. Waterford, 10th April, 1891. ( 8547 C— 88165.) Description of JOHN HAIGH, native of Cross- land, near Huddersfield, who stands charged with having, en the 9th April. 1891, in the barony of Middlethird, parish of Trinity Without, stolen the sum of £ 28, a blue ove'coat, beaver cloth, with black velvet collar, two pair gray web drawers, and two blue Yager wool thirto; the money was all in new coinage, gold and silver, including a 4s. piece with dent on reverse side:— His back is supposed to be padded t > take away military appearance; gray eyes, regular nose, fresh complexion, round face, medium make, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 25 years of age, dark coarse hair; wore a black felt hat, dark trowsers, and vest, brown satin necktie; is a pr? 15th Hussars. Had a black bullock trunk, with W. L. in faint whit? letters on end, one of the straps broken. Warrant for arrest in hands of District Inspector, Waterford. EMBEZZLEMENT OF £ 979. Wanted on a Sheriff's Warrant, charged with em- bezzlement of the above sum, the property of Messrs. Alexander and Son, soap and candle manofacturers, Aberdeen, for whom he acted as agent in this city:— DAVID STEPHEN, 42 years of age, 6 feet 7 inches high, ordinary make, fresh complexion, good features, dark beard, whiskers, and moustache, all mixed wi< h gray; dresses respectably. Is a native of Aberdeen, but speaks with Glasgow accent. Resided with his wife and family at Gowanbank, Shawlands. Absconded on 3rd inst., and will probably endeavour to leave the country. Please cause diligent search and enquiry to be made at hotels, shipping; shipping offices, and other likely places, and should accused be found, arrest and wire, J. Description of an ass's cart, the property of Robert Allen, which was stolen from the lands of Lissara, parish of Galbally, barony of Coshlea, on the night of the 16th or morning ot the 17th MarchA new cart, painted red, with new wheels, band on one wheel new, an old band with split in centre on the other, eye- bolt broken, new back- band, cripples mitred in the middle, owner's name painted on saaft. Description of an ass, the property of Martin Corrigan, which was stolen from the lands of Clonfin, parish of Granard, barony of Granard, on the 13th day of April, 1891 :— A male ass, 6 years old, light brown colour, mane clipped short, part of the hair clipped off the neck ; value for about two pounds (£ 2.)
