DE COBAIN, native of Belfast, who stands chargcd ( hat he did, within the past two years, at Belfast, commit an act of gross indeoency with another male person, and within the same time, and at tho place aforesaid did incite divers other male persons to commit sodomy:— Walks erect, square shoulders, corpulent, contracts eyebrows when speaking, gray eyes, regular nose, pale complexion, full lace, stout make, 5 feet 10 inches high, about 48 years of age, dark brown hair; wore a silk hat, black Chesterfield overcoat, black frock coat, dark trowsers, and dark vest; i a Member of Parliament. Description of MICHAEL TIMMINS ( mother's surname Maher), native of Bannagagole, who stands charged with having, on the 9th day of March, 1891, in the barony of Idrone West, parish of Wells, neriou « ly assaulted ope- Ellen Hanlon, by kicking her in the abdomen, and thereby placing her life in danger. This man was bailed to take his trial on above charge at Carlow Quarter Sessions on the 9th instant, but failed to put in an appearance; his present where- abouts are unknown:— Gray or blue eyes, thick nose, dark ccnloxion, round face, stont make, 5 feet 9 inches higl^ about 21 years of age, black hair; wore a soft black hat, dark tweed coat, trowscrs, and vest; down- looting sullen appearance; is a farmer's son. A Bench Warrant has been issued for his arrest, and is in the hands town. Bagnalstown, 1 at Bignala- o.— 88166.) Description of ELIZA TALLON, alias HALIGAN, native of Killemire, cotinty Wicklow, who stands charged with having, on the 13th January, 1891, in the barony of Rathvilly, parish of Tullow Phelan, deserted her male child, about 10 days old:— Good looking, grav eyes, thin sharp nose, sallow complexion, thin face, slight make, 5 feet 3 inches high, about 28 years of age, dark hajp; is a servant, and was lest at a situation near Ovoca, county Wicklow. Description of MICHAEL FOX ( mother's sur- name O'Donohue native of Ennis, who stands charged with having, en the 22nd March, 1891, at Ennis, in the barony of Islands, parish of Drumcliff, assaulted Philip Bolger, Sergeant, R. I. C., while in the sxecution of his duty, by striking him on the head with a bottle, thereby causing him grievous bodily harm;— Short upper lip, speaks hesitatingly, gray eyes, regular nore, pale complexion, small face, medium make, 5 feet 4 inches high, about 24 years of a? e, looks younger, dark hair, small dark moustache, a smart swaggering little man; wore a dark coat, trowsera, and vest; is a slater. Description of MICHAEL MURPHY, nativo of Meenahoney, who stinds charged with having, on the 17th March. 1891, in the barony of East Muskerry, perish of Dononghmore, seriously assaulted John Casey:— Gray eves, rsgslar nose, fair complexion) thin face, medium make, 5 feet 9 inches high, about 22 years of age, dark brown hair} wore a black tweed cost, gray tweed trowsers, tweed vest; is a labourer. Description of JAMES HICKEY, native of Skehanore, who stands charged with having, on the 12th Marc\ 1891, in the barony of W. D. W. Car- bery, parish ot Schull, unlawfully assaulted one Thomas Keating, thereby endangering his life:— Deep scar on forehead, very largo hands, gray eye?, regular nose, fresh core plexion, stout make, 5 feet 9 inches high, about 24 years of age, dark hair; is a farmer's son. Description of DENIS CONNELL, native of Doneraile, county Cork, who stands charged with having, on the morning of the 12th February, 1891, in the barony cf Fermoy, parish of Caherduggon, attempted to commit larcaay, and with having set fire to a hay- rick, the property cf John Dunlea, of Bally- ellis:— Rowdy appearance, large mouth, wild gray eyes, cocked nose, ruddy complexion, full face, medium make, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 20 years of ago, brown hair; wpte a brown tweed coat, corduroy trowsers, and brown tweed vest; is a labourer, was in the militia. Description of JAMES MANNING, native of county Meath, who stands charged with having, on the 10th day of February, 1891, in the barony of Magonihy, parish of Kiliarney, com mi it ad wilful and corrupt perjury:— Three teeth loit from front of montb, stooped shoulders, short side whiskers, no mous tache, gray eyes, regular nose, fresh complexion, rouod face, stout make, 5 feet 10 or 11 inches higb, about 50 year* of age, sandy hair toraing gray; wore a bard black bat, gray sick coat, gray trowsers, and vest; rr. t her good looking. pretty well dressed, looks like a well- to- do farmer; in a caretaker on Land Cor- 5oration farm. Description of JAMES NEWMAN, native place not known, who stands charged with having, on the 25th March, 1891, at Cnrragh Camp, in the barony of East Offnly, parish of Ballysax, in his possession an ass, the property of William Beady, which was stolen on the 9th March, 1891. out of Brady's yard. See Hue- and- Cry of 17th March, 1891. The ass has been recovered:— Rig'ilar nose, fair complexion, thin face, slender make, 5 feet 8 or 9 inches high, about 26 years of age, dark bair ; wore a gray twoed oap, round dark oat, plaid trowsers, wears shoes; ii a tailor; frequents soldiers' baTacVs for the purpose of repairing uniform clothing. Description of JAMES MULLIGAN, native ot Omagh. who stindx charged with having, on the 21st day of February, 1891, in tbe barony of Ballybritt, Srish of Birr, stolen the sum of £ 13 St. from Captain oney, of tbe York and Lancaster Regiment, Birr Barracks:— Scar over right eyebrow, small tumour over right eyelid, two bald spots on back of head ciused by cut- marks, slightly bow- legged, gray eyes, regular noso, dark florid complexion, round face, very stout make, 6 feet inchos high, about 30 years of age, dark hair; wore a dark hard hat, dark tweed coat and • est with yellow check lines; is an officer's servant; enlisted at Warrington, and has worked as labourer in iron works, Laeds. Description of MICHAEL GRIFFIN, native of county Limerick, who stands charged with having, on the 16th day of March, 1891, in tie barony of Pubble- brim, parish of Croom, stolen 22 sheep, the property of Benjamin Corneille, 16 of which he sold at the fair of Charleville, on that date:— Speaks with a slight impediment, r, o boird or whiskers, small dark moustache, gray or blue e) es, kmg thin nose, sallow complexion, long th'n face, medium make, 5 feet 9 inches high, about 28 years of age, black hair ; wore a gray tweed cap with one peak, gray tweed coat, trowsers, and vest, soiled; is a farmer's son. ( 8173 c— 87573,) Description of WILLIAM FITZGERALD, native of Lisowen, near Doon, county Limerick, who stands charged with having, on the 6th day of September, 1889, in the barony of Coonagh, parish of Doon, with other?, murdered George Franklin:— Gray eyes, regular nose, pale complexioo, regular fane, medium make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 24 years of age, brown hair; wora a low hard hat, dark tweed coat, trowsers, and vest; is a labourer. Description of TWO MEN unknown, native place unknown ( supposed county Antrim), who stand charged with having, on the 24th day of February, 1891, in the barony of Loughinsholin, parish of Ballyscullin, illegally entered the lands of Colonel H. S. Bruce, j. r., in pursuit of game, and with having at same time and place pointed a gun at and threatened to shoot one, William H. Phillips, gamekeeper » — J. Scar over left eyebrow, shaves all his face ; dark eyes, dark complexioD, stout make, 5 feet 5 inches high, about 40 years of age, dark hair; wore a brown cap, brownish tweed coat, brown trowsers and vest. 2, High- cheek bones, shaves all his face; dark eyes, dark complexion, slight make, 6 feet higb, about SO years of age, dark bair; wore a brown two- peaked oap, brownish tweed coat, brown trowsers and vest. Description of PATRICK LEONARD, native of Brackna, county Kildare, who stands charged with having, on the eight of 9th or morning of 10th instant, in the barony of Maryborough West, parish of Clon- eragh and Clonaheen, feloniously stolen from the dwellinghouse of Daniel Moore, of Cloneygowan, a new pair of men's bellows- tongned laced boots, no nails, brass rivets in shank, soles pegged; a ma ' a black serge vest; a silver watch, no glass, one band off, half inside of otse had a yellow appearance, crack across face of dial between the figures cioe and thrae; all value for £ 2 10j., the property of Daniel Moore, with whom he was employed as a farm servant:— Down- looking, snail closed- up dark eyes, regular nose, fresh com- plexion, fat face, stout make, 5 feet 8 inches higb, abont 20 years of age, dark hnMvn bair; wore a black hard hat, dark striped trowsers, and dark vest. Description of FRANCIS BRENNAN ( mother's surname Lenehan\ native of Kilcloghan, who stands charged with having, on the night of 1st or morning of 2nd March, 1891, in the barony of Frenchpark, parish of Creeve, stolen a heifer, the property of Patrick Mullany ( see Hue- and- Cry dated 10th March, 1891):— Delicate appearance, dark eyes, rather short nose, pale sallow complexion, thin face, slight make, 5 feet 4 inches high, about 25 years of age, dark hair; wore a cloth cap with two peaks, dark tweed coat, dsrk tweed trowsers, and dark vest; is a farmer's son. This man will try to emigrate if possible. Strokestown, 13th March, 1891. ( 7853 87152). Tipperary, MICHAEL BRENNAN ( stealing), Hue- aud- Cry, 13th March, not arrested. ( 73S0 86189.) Waterford. Description of CHARLES STEWART, alias PETER HANLON, alias GEORGE BROWN, says he is a native of Armagh, who stands charged with having, on the 6th day of April, 1891, in the muni- cipal borough of Waterford, parish of Trinity Without, endeavoured to defraud a number of farmers by pretending to purchase their pigs:— Hazel ejes, long sharp nose, ruddy complexion, ronod face, rcedirm irake, 5 feet 10 inches high, about 22 years of age, loofcs older, brown hair; wore a dark tweed coat, tweed trowsers black vest, and leggings. He has lean arrested, tnd pending enquiries has been re- manded. He has been in Clonmel, Dundalk, Armagh, and Kilkenny Gaols for larcenies. Waterford, 10th April, 1891. ( 8547 88165.) Description of JOHN HAIGH, native of Cross- land, near Huddersfield, who stands oharged with having, en the 9th April, 1891, in the barony of Middlethird, parish of Trinity Without, stolen tbe sum of £ 28, a blue overcoat, beaver cloth, with black velvet collar, two pair gray web drawers, and two blue Yager wool thirts; the money was all in new coinage, gold and silver, including a 4s. piece with dent on reverse side:— Sis back is supposed to be padded t > take away military appearance; gray eyes, regular nose, fresh complexion, round face, medium make, 5 feet- 7 inches high, about 25 years of age, dark coarse hair; wore a black felt hat, dark coat, trowsers, and vest, brown satin necktie; is a private, 15th Hussars, Had a black bullock trunk, with W. L. in faint white letters on end, one of the straps broken. Warrant for arre'rt in hands of District Inspector, Waterfcrd. This man left Waterford by 2.30 p. m. train for Dublin on 9th instant. Waterford, 11 th April, 1891. ( 8560 c.— 8819*\) Westmeath. Description of THOMAS DUFFY, native of Deeroark, King's County, who stands charged with iiaving, on or about 25th June, 1890, in the barony of Moycasbel, parish of Kilbeggan, unlawfully stolen and carried away ten doors, two lock*, and oth< r property ( now recovered), from the house of Joseph Phylan, Kilbeggan;— Dark eyes, pale complexion, thin face, very slight make, 5 feat 7 inches high, about 35 years of age, small black moustache ( may have shaved), no whiskers or beard; is a grocer's assistant, formerly a publican. Speaks with an English accent. Warrant issued. Kilbeggan, 17th March, 1891. ( 8112 c.— 87297.) Description of a MAN and WOMAN, names and native place unknown, who stand charged with having, on the 17th February, 1891, in the barony of Moy- ashel and Magheraternon, parish of Dysart, feloniously stolen from Bridget Loorau, of Dysart, certain articles of dress, on the highway, at Rathnamuddagh :— 1. Long thin nose, fresh complexion, stout make, middle height, about 45 or 50 years of age, grayish bair, grayish moustache, and long beard; wore a soft black hat and long black coat patched in back of shoulders, carried a blackthorn stick; is a tramp. 2. Fresh complexion, tall, younger than tho man, but age unknown, black bair; wore a gray shawl and black dress, no covering on the head; is a tramp. Kilbeggan, 19th Feb., 1891. ( 7640c 86523.) Wexford. Description of GARRET DOYLE ( mothers sur- name Doyle , native of Wexford, who stands charged with having, on the 25th dfty cf March, 1891, in the barony of Shelmalier East, parish of Ardcavan, stolen three lambs, the property of Nicholas Thornton, of Wexford :— Cast in right eye, round shoulders, slightly bow- legged, gray eyes, reg^ ar nose, sandy complexion, freckled face, stout make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 22 years of age, brown hair; wore a gray tweed coat, trowsers, and vest} is a carpenter. Warrant issued. Wexford, 12th Apri', 1891. ( 8559 c.— 88195.) DAVID LIVINGSTONE ( obtaining watches under false pretenses), Hue- and- Cry, 13th March, not airested. ( 7314 c,— 85799). Description of Licence holder, c 1,074, THOMAS WALSH, native of New Ross, who stands charged with having, about the 18th February, 1891, in the barony of Bantry, parish of St. Mary's, failed to notify his arrival to the police, be being a convict on ticket of licence, and bis present whereabouts are unknown :— Slightly pock pitted, and " T. W. M. P." on inside of right arm, " Kate and Ellen" on left fore- arm; gray eyes,, thin nose, fresh complexion, oval face, slight make, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 46 years of age, brown hair; wore a round hard bat, long dark coat, dark trowsers, and dark tweed vest; is a taijor. New Ross, 12th March, 1891. ( 6992 87110.) EDWARD GRANNELLS ( indecent assault), Hae- and Cry, 20th March, not arrested. ( 6878 c— 8506.). PATRICK KELLY, alias MOFFAT ( indecent assault), Hua- and- Cry, 24th February, not arrested. ( 7017c— 85272.) Wicklow. Description of HENRY JOHNSTON, native of county Wexford ( supposed Naw Ross), who stands charged with having, on the 2nd day of December, 1890, in the barony of Newcastle, parish of Kilcommon, stolen five bags of oats, the property of Margaret Jones, of Bohana:— Wants an upper front tooth, mark of boil on left cheek near ear, dark eyes, regular nose, pale complexion, round face, medium make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 27 years of age; wore an old gray tweed coat, trowsars, and vest, all much worn; is a tramping labourer. Warrant for his ariest in the hands of District Inspector at Wicklow. Wicklow, 4th December, 1890. ( 6391 c— 84062.) or PATRICK KERRIGAN alias CONNOR COMBER ( perjury), Hue- and- Cry, 20th February, not arrested. ( 5848 c — 82977.) DUBLIN METROPOLITAN POLICE. C Division. Particulars relative to Convict THOMAS TOOMEY, A 318, convicted at Dublin city Com- mission, on fith August, 1881, for Iat% ony from the person, and sentenced to 10 years' penal seivitnde;— 26 years of age on conviction, single, black hair, bazel eyes, dark brown eyebrows, rather cocked nose, medium mouth, sallow complexion, round visage, stout 1 make, S feet 3 inches high, left arm has been broken, sinews contracted, anchor 01 wrist, right arm tattooed; is a labourer; resided before conviction at Dublin, was born at Cork, where his friends reside. This man was released from Mountjoy Prison, on Licence, 2nd August, 1890, He has not, reported himself at Cork since 18th ult., and bis present whereabouts is unknown. In the event of his arrest, he should be dealt with under seotion 5 of 34 and 35 Vic., cap. 112. 23rd March, 1891. ( 389 HC.) Particulars relative to Convict JOHN RYAN, c 132, convicted st Monaghan Spring Assizes, on 5th March, 1887, for larceny of £ 130, and sentenced to 5 years' penal servitude:— 25 years of sge, cn . conviction, single; born at Dublin, where his iriends re- ide, no fixed residence before conviction:— Dark hair, blue eyes, dark eyebrows, tegular nose, medinm mouth, sallow complexion, round visage, stout make, 5 feet 5} inches high, abscess mark left side of neck, swelled veins on left testicle, top of head getting bald; is a dealer. - This man was released from Maryboro' Prison on Licence, the 9th imtsnt, and came to Dublin, where he repotted his arrival to the police on ( he 10th instant, and stated he would call the following day and notify his residence, but up to this he has failed to do so, and bis present whereabouts is unknown. Description of two asses, which were stolen from Michael Crowe, Lisheen, parish of Donohil, and barony of Clanwilliam, on night of 4th April, 1891 :— 1. A large brown ass, with gray head, belly, and legs, very heavy with foal, one of the fore hoofs broken with a frogrot; abont 7 yeirs old. 2. A gray gelding, middle size, clipped on belly, and neck very lean, foremost part of fore hoofs broken, shod on both legs. They were traced as being driven as far as Nenagh. C.) in hire; ' T Stolen by means of housebreaking on the night of Monday, 30th, or morning of Tuesday, 31st March, 1891, from a jeweller's shop in this burgh ;— A gent's English lever watch, No. 34,226, value £ 4 It s. ; a gent's Geneva watch, No. not known, value 30s.; two lady's Geneva watches ( Swiss make), No. not known, value 25s. each. The thief or thieves gained an entrance by breaking a pane of glas3 in the back window, removing the snib, and raising the lower sash. The window is secured with three stanchions, with crossbar about 3 feet from sill of window, and the space between the stanchion and through which the thief entered is £ f inches. Foot- marks on paper inside the window show the impression of a small boot with round tackets. A number of valuable watches and other jewellery were left in the window untouched. Please ceuse the usual inquiry with the view of tracing the stolen property, arid also the thief or thieves, and communicate with THOMAS FERGUSON, Superintendent.
