Description of JAMES NEWMAN, native place not known, who stands charged with having, on the 25th March, 1891, at Curragh Camp, in the barony of East Offaly, parish of Ballysax, in his possession an ass, the property of William Brady, which was stolen on the 9ui March, 1891, out of Brady's yard, gee Hue- and- Cry of 17th March, 1891. The ass has been recovered:— Beg alar nose, fair complexion, thin face, slender make, 5 feet 8 or 9 inches high, about 26 years of age, dark hair; wore a gray tweed cap, round dark coat, plaid trowsers, wears ( hoes; is a tailor; frequents soldiers' barracks for the purpoEe of repairing uniform clothing. Description of JAMES MULLIGAN, native of Omagh. who stmdx charged with having, on the 21st day of February, 1891, in the barony of Ballybritt, parish of Birr, stolen the sum of £ 13 5s. from Captain Money, of the York and Lancaster regiment, Birr Barracks:— Scar over right eyebrow, small tumour over right evelid, two bald spots on back of head caused by cut- marks, slightly bow legged, gray eyes, regular nose, dark florid complexion, round face, very stout make, 6 feet 7} inches high, about 30 years of age, dark hair; wore a dark hard hat, dark tweed coat and • est with yellow check lines; is an officer's servant; enlisted at Warrington, and has worked as labourer in iron works, Leeds. Limerick, Description of MICHAEL GRIFFIN, native of county Limerick, who stands charged with having, on the 16th day of March, 1891, in tte barony of Pubble- brien, parish of Croom, stolen 22 sheep, the property of Benjamin Corneille, 16 of which he sold at the fair of Charleville, on that date:— Speaks with a slight impediment, no beard or whiskera, om* il dark moustache, gray or blue eyes, long thin nose, sallow complexion, long thin face, medium make, 5 feet 9 inches high, about 28 years of age, black hair ; wore a gray tweed cap with one peak, gray tweed coat, trowsers, and Vest, soiled; is a farmer's son. S. Bruce, j. r., in pursuit ot game, and with having at same time and place pointed a gun at and threatened to shoot one, William H. Phillips, gamekeeper 1. Scar over left eyebrow, shaves all his face s dark eyes, dark complexion, stout make, 5 feet 5 inches high, about 40 years of age, dark hair j wore a brown cap, brownish tweed coat, brown trowsers and vest. 2. Roscommon, Description of FRANCIS BRENNAN ( mother's surname Lenehannative of Kilcloghan, who stands charged with having, on the night of 1st or morning of 2nd March, 1891, in the barony of Frenchpark, parish of Creeve, stolen a heifer, the property of Patrick Mullany ( see Hue- and- Cry dated 10th March, 1891):— Delicate appearance, dark eyes, rather short nose, pale sallow complexion, thin face, slight make, 5 feet 4 inches high, abont 25 years of age, dark hair; wore a cloth cap with two peaks, dark tweed coat, dark tweed trowsers, and dark vest; is a farmer's son. Description of THOMAS DUFFY, native of Deerpark, King's County, who stands charged with navmg, on or about 25th June, 1890, in the barony of Moycashel, parish of Kilbeggan, unlawfully stolen and carried away ten doors, two locks, and other property ( now recovered), from the house of Joseph Phylan, Kilbeggan;— Dark eyes, pale complexion, thin face, very slight make, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 35 years of age, small black moustache ( may have shaved), no whiskers or beard; is a grocer's assistant, formerly a publican. Speaks with an English accent. Warrant issued. Kilbeggan, 17th March, 1891. ( 8112 c.— 87297.) Description of a MAN and WOMAN, names and native place unknown, who stand charged with having, on the 17th February, 1891, in tho barony of Moy- ashel and Magheraternon, parish of Dysart, feloniously stolen from Bridget Looran, of Dysart, certain articles of dress, on the highway, at Rithnamuddagh:— 1. Long thin nose, fresh complexion, stout make, middle height, about 45 or 50 years of age, grayish hair, grayish moustache, and long beard; wore a soft black hat and long black coat patched in back of shoulders, oarried a blackthorn stick; is a tramp. 2. Fresh complexion, tall, younger than the man, but age unknown, black hair; wore a gray shawl and black dress, no covering on the head ; is a tramp. Kilbeggan, 19th Feb., 1891. ( 7640 86523.) Wexford. Description of RICHARD DONNELLY ( mother's surname M'Donald), native of Ballycullane, who stands charged with having, on the 30th March, 1891, in the barony of Shelburne, parish of Owenduff, unlaw- fully broken into the house of Thomas Martin, of Ballytarsna, and stolen therefrom a tweed trowsers, cross- bar check pattern, nearly new; valua for 6*. 9< l.:— Down- looking and foolish appearance ; gray eyes, thick nose, sallow complexion, round face, medium make, 5 feet 9 inches high, 19 or 20 years of age, fair hair; wore an old brown coat, tweed trowsers and vest, all much worn and shabby looking; is a labourer and discharged soldier. Description of Licence holder, c 1,074, THOMAS WALSH, native of New Boss, who stands charged witlf having, about the 18th February, 1891, in the barony of Bantry, parish of St. Mary's, failed to notify his arrival to the police, he being a convict on ticket of licence, and his present whereabouts are unknown :_ Slightly pock pitted, and " T. W. M. P." on inside of right arm, " Kate and Ellen* on left fore- arm; gray eyes, thin nose, fresh complexion, oval face, slight male, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 46 years of age, brown hair; wore a round hard hat, long dark coat, dark trowsers, and dark tweed vest; is a tailor. Description of HENRY JOHNSTON, native of county Wexford ( supposed New Ross), who stands charged with having, on the 2nd day of December, 1890, in the barony of Newcastle, parish of Kilcommon, stolen five bags of oats, the property of Margaret Jones, of Bohana:— Wants an upper front tooth, mark of boil on left cheek near ear, dark eyes, regular nose, pale complexion, round face, medium make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 27 years of age; wore an old jjray tweed coat, trowsers, and vest, all much worn; is a tramping labourer. Warrant for his arrest in the hands of District Inspector at Wicklow. Wicklow, 4th December, 189a ( 6391 84062.) PATRICK KERRIGAN alias CONNOR or COMBER ( perjury), Hue- and- Cry, 20th February, not arrested. ( 5848 c— 82977.) DUBLIN METROPOLITAN POLICE. C Division. Particulars relative to Convict THOMAS TOOMEY, A 318, convicted at Dublin City Com- mission, on 5th August, 1881, for larceny from the person, and sentenced to 10 years' penal servitude:—• 26 years of age on conviction, single, black hair, hazel eyes, dark brown eyebrows, rather cocked nose, medium mouth, sallow complexion, round visage, stout make, 5 feet 3 inches high, left arm has been broken, sinews contracted, anchor oi wrist, right arm tattooed; is a labourer; resided before conviction at Dublin, was born at Cork, where his friends reside. This man was released from Mountjoy Prison, on Licence, 2nd August, 1890. He has not reported himsalf at Cork since 13th nit., and his present whereabouts is unknown. In the event of his arrest, he should be dealt with under section 5 of 34 and 35 Vie., asp. 112. 23rd March, 1891. ( 389 H. c.) Particulars relative to Convict JOHN RYAN, c 132, convicted at Monaghan Spring Assizes, on 5th March, 1887, for larceny of £ 130, and sentenced to 5 years' penal servitude:— 25 years of age, on conviction, single; born at Dublin, where his iriends reside, no fixed residence before conviction:— Dark hair, blue eyes, dark eyebrows, regular nose, medium mouth, sallow complexion, round visage, stout make, 5 feet 5J inches high, abscess mark left side of neck, swelled veins on left testicle, top of head getting bald; is a dealer. This man was released from Maryboro' Prison on Licence, the 9th in tant, and came to Dublin, where he reported his arrival to the police on the 10th instant, and stattd he would call the following day and notify his residence, but up to this he has failed to do so, and his present whereabouts is. unknown. In the event of his arrest he should be dealt with under section 5 of the Act 34 and 35 Vic., cap. 112. 26th February, 1891. ( 383 H. C.) Wanted on a Sheriff's Warrant for embezzlement of the above sum the property of his employers, Messrs. James Gall and Co., provision merchants. 123, Candleriggs, of this city:— MONTEITH SINCLAIR, a traveller, about 23 years of age, 5 feet 4 inChos high, slender make, and slight fairish moustache, ruddy complexion; dressed ( supposed) in dark tweed clcthes and black felt hat; resided at 1, Albert- road, Crosshill, near Glasgow. Is a native of Newcastle. Absconded on 5th inst,, and will likely endeavour to leave the country. Please cause immediate enquiry to be made for the accused at hotels, shipping, shipping offices, and all other likely places, and should he be got, arrest and wire, J. PETER CORRIGAN, or KERRIGAN, or CUNNINGHAM ' charged with murder), Hue- and- Cry, 20th March, not arrested. ( 384 H. O.) JOSEPH SMITH and his SON, described in issue of 17th February, not arrested. Airdrie Police Office, 20th Dec., 1890. ( 369 H. O.) Stirlingshire. Stolen by means of housebreaking on the night of Monday, 30th, or morning of Tuesday, 31st March, 1891, from a jeweller's shop in this burgh :— A gent's English lever watch, No. 34,226* value £ 4 10*. ; a gent's Geneva watch, No. not known, value 30*.; two lady's Geneva watches ( Swiss make), No. not known, value 25*. each. The thief or thieves gained an entrance by breaking a pane of glass in the back window, removing the snib, and raising the lower sash. The window is secured with three stanchions, with crossbar about 3 feet from sill of window, and the space between the stanchion and through which the thief entered is >- f inches. Foot- marks on paper inside the window show the impression of a small boot with round tackets. A number of valuable watches and other jewellery were left in the window untouched. Please cause the usual inquiry with the view of tracing the stolen property, and also the thief or thieves, and communicate with THOMAS FERGUSON, Superintendent. Description of a horse and harness and a horse- rug, the property of Michael Considine, which were stolen from the lands of Clonroad Beg, parish of Drumcliff, and barony of Islands, on the night of the 3rd of April, 1891 :— A thick bay cob, ahont 15 hands high, right bind leg white fro- n fetlock to hoof, one of fore shins thicker than the ot'ier, the hair was worn off wherever the harness touched, ha was a post horse. The harness was the ordinary posting harness, old, except the collar, which was new, one of th- i rings of the saddle was larger than the other and bent. The sheet was a gray sheet, partly worn, and a little broken near the neck at one side j they are altogether value for about £ 30. Ennis, 6th April, 1891. ( 8477 o.— 88027.) Description of a horse, the property of Edmond Sweeny, which was stolen from the lands of Lemenagh, parish of Kilnatoy, end barony of Inohiquin, on the night of Thursday, the 12th instant, or early the following morning:— A dark bay mare, 2 years old, black legs, tail, and mane, 14 hands high, shod on fOur feet, clipped trace high all round, turns out tbe foremost hoots, well bred, and valne for £ 30. Description of an aes, tbe property of Daniel Noonan, which was stolen from tbe lands of Lissard, parish of Galbally, barony of Coshlea, on the night ot tbe 16th or morning ot the J7th March:— A mouse- coloured mare ass, in foal, unshod, right fore hoof crooked, bit cut off tail on which no hair grows, about 7 years old, and value for £ 4. buppcsed to be taken by tinkers. Description of 10 bollocks, the property of John Campion, which were stolen from the lands of Iron- mills, parish of Abbeyleix, baroay of Cullenagh, on tbe night o1' the 23rd March, 1891:—. T* o white over body, with red nesks. Two blood red, without any white. One all gray, smaller than the others. Two gray with red spots, one of these had shell oft left horn. Oae red with white across shoulder and hips. Two speckled. All two years old, and value for about £ 11 each. Description of two asses, the property of Thomas Nolan and John Keeffe which were stolen from the lands of Longoroh « rd, parish of Templetuohy, barony of Ikerrin, on the 21st day of February, 1891:— 1. A male ass, brown colour, white belly, some hair off tail, not shod, 10 years old, and value for £ 1 10*. 2. A female ass, brown colour, stringhalted in hind legs, white belly, not shod, 10 years old, and value for £ 1. These asses are supposed to have been sold at the fair ol Clonmel, on the 4th instant.
