No Description can be inserted unless an Information shall have been Sworn • but it is not necessary to forward the Informations to the Inspector- General Noticoa respecting all Felonies and such Misdemeanours as are of an aggravated nature will be inserted. All Descriptions of persons whose apprehension is sought on a charge of Misdemeanour should be accompanied by a statement that a Warrant has been issued, and by tho namo of the person in whose hands it is. But the Constabulary should remember that they cannot arrest a person charged with an offence of this nature unless they have the Warrant in their possession when . making the arrest. j %• Should irregularities arise in the delivery of the Hue- and- Cry, it will be necessary to forward one of the covers, or give the number it- bears, as without this information the inistako cannot be rectified. Prison and Police Authorities are particularly requested to be good enough to inform the Inspector- General, Royal Irish Constabulary, Dublin Castle, of the abolition of Gaols, Stations, ifcc., and of any circumstances rendering the supply of the " Hue- and- Cry " no longer necessary. M.," 12 white- handled breakfast knives, 6 electro- plated table spoons, a pair of electro- plated sugar tongs, a pa r of lady's boots, a horse rug, a gray check< d knee rug, and a white knitted shawl:— Mole on each cheek, speaks with a Scotch or north of England accent, has the appearance of a foreigner, dark eyes, cocked nose, dark swarthy complexion, thin face, slender make, 5 feet 3 or 4 inches high, about 24 years of age, very dark hair; is a domestic servant. Description of a tramp who gives his name as THOMAS KEHOE, and states he is a native of Newtown, Adamstown, county Wexford, who stands charged with having, on the 14th February, 1891, in the barony of Iverk, parish of Rathkieran, stolen two shirts, the property of Thomas Fielding:— Speaks and walks as if affected with paralysis, brown eyes, ragular nose, fresh complexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 6 or 7 inches high, about 40 years of age, dark brown hair, sandy whiskers ; wore an old soft kat and dark faded serge suit. Description of the undernamed young offender, who on the 19th February, 1891, at about 3 o'clock, p. m., absconded from tha Phillipstown reformatory School iKing's County:— JOHN FARRELL 1231, 18 years of age, & feet 6 inches high, slight make, sallow complexion, brown hair, brown eyes, straight nose, regular moutb, oral visage; formerly belonged to Dublin, and his mother resides at 178, Phibsborough- road; cut- mark on forehead. He may hire for a time with a farmer and then try to enlist. The School dress, all with Reformatory stamp, consists of Glengarry cap, dark blue serge jacket, corduroy trowsers, and vest, Blucher boots. Description of a man who stated bis " name was DAVID LIVINGSTONE, and that he was a native of Ayr, Scotland, who stands charged with having, on the 24th January, 1891, in the barony of Decies- without- Drum, parish of Dungarvan, obtained under false pretences, from George F. Power, watchmaker, Dungarran. two watches described elsewhere:— Wore a moustache and imperial, brown eyes, regular cose, sandy complexion, thin faoe, slight make, 5 feet 6 or 7 inches bi^ h, abont 54 years of age, sandy- gray hair; wore a black felt hat, black overcoat, and gray trowsers. Description of a MAN and WOMAN, names and native place unknown, who stand charged with having, on the 17th February, 1891, in the barony of Moy- ashel and Maghersternon, parish of Dysart, feloniously stolen from Bridget Looran, of Dysart, certain articles of dress, on the highway, at Rathnamuddagh:— 1. Long thin nose, iresh complexion, stout make, middle height, about 45 or 50 years of age, grayish hair, grayish moustache, and long beard; wore a soft black hat and long black ooat patched in back of shoulders, carried a blackthorn stick; is a tramp. 2. DUBLIN METROPOLITAN POLICE. c MTISIOD; Particulars relative to Convict JOHN RYAN, c 132, convicted at Monaghan Spring Assizes, on 5th March, 1887, for larceny of £ 130, and sentenced to 5 years' penal servitude:— 25 years of age, on conviction, single; born at Dublin, where his iriends re ide, no fixed residence before conviction f— DarK hair, blue eyes, dark eyebrows, regular ncse, medium mouth, sallow comp'exion, round visage, stout make, 5 feet 5J inohes higb, absoess mark left side ot neck, swelled veins on left testicle, top of head getting bald ; is a dealer. This man was released , from Maryboro' Prison on Licence, the 9th in'tant, and came to Dublin, where he reported bis arrival to tbe police on tha 10th instant, and statv d he wpnld call the following day and notify his residence, but up to this he has failed to do so, and his pressnt whereabouts is unknown. Wanted in city of Durham on Warrant for embezzling the sum cf £ 34 ( total defalca- tions being upwards of £ 500), absconded on 3rd January last, FREDERICK DAVID BUCK- HAM, a clothier's assistant, 32 years of age, 5 feet 10 inches high, fair hair, inclined to ginger, bald on top of head, ginger moustache and slight side whiskers, brown eyes, of smart appearance, usually dresses well in dark tweed jacket and vest, light tweed trowsers, and brown felt hat Th's man served his apprenticeship with Mr. Ward, Clothier, Clayton street, Newcastle- upon- Tyne, and has been manager for Hepworth and Co., Clothiers, LseJs, at their branch shop here for the last six years, and is well known to most of the managers lor that firm in the North of England. Committed for trial at the nrxt Quarter Sessions, for attempted rape, JOHN HASTON, alias JOHN ADDIS and JOHN NEESON, age 23; height, 5 feet inches, full brown face, brown hair, no whiskers or moustache, light brown eyes, cut mark first finger of right hand, scar left eyebrow, rather tow- legged; dress, dark rik- cloth coat ( faded), old dark mixture vest, corduroy trowsers ( small pattera), gray mixture cap with peak, laee boots, wears a silver ring en right third finger ; states he was born at Ltinster, Wicklow, Ireland, but brought up at 22, Spring Gardens- lane, Sunderland, and that he is known to Mr. Coleman, lodging- house keeper, off Queer- street, Sunderland; that he has a relative named John Higgens, a plasterer, in York- street; Manchester. He also states that he served 56 days training at Richmond Militia last year, that ke enlisted at Middlesborou^ h, and at the end of the training purchased his discharge. Has worked on a new railway at Barnsley, also at Leeds Gasworks, and on the Manchester Ship Canal at Hence. Appears to have been tramping the country come time. Wanted here, on a charge of murder, committed on the night of Saturday, 21st February current, in Shielinphill, Hamilton, PETER CORRIGAN, or KERRIGAN, or CUNNINGHAM ( wife's maiden name is Durkin), labourer, native of Ireland; but been a good many years about Glasgow, Hamilton, and Wert of Scotland; about- 55 years of age, S feet 9 or 10 inches high, ordinary make, stoops slightly when walking or standing, dark complexion, longish features, rather broad at cheeks and narrower at chin, lips rathsr thin, or fall in slightly as if some of fro » t teeth were awanting, hair beginning to tarn gray, dean • haved, but if moustache or whiskers allowed to grow, they are likely to be gray; dressed in dark coat, vest, and trowsers, or may be wearing grayish trowsers— probably all half wora. blaok or dark blus cloth cap with glazed peak, rather broad in crown, worn with peak down on forehead and front of cap raised up and turned over on the side. Absconded on Monday fore- noon, 23rd instant. Accused is of a somewhat sullen and unsociable disposition, and when not working was generally seen standing alone about some of tbe street corners with the breast button of his coat fastened, and his hands in his trowsers pockets. Has worked as a mason's labourer, and as a'brusher or roadsman in pits. Has also been employed on Anchor Line of ships between Glasgow and America, and has gone about as a pedlar hawking laces and matches. He may endeavour to leave the country. Police Officers are earnestly requested to make immediate and special search and enquiry for accused at shipping offices, steamboat quays, new buildings in course of erection, and at farms, quarries, coal pits, and other public works. Enquiry it also requested to be made at common lodging houses, and also at brick works and othar places where tramps without money are likely to seek lodging*. If found, apprehend, and wire me. Description of a horse, the property of Edmond Sweeny, which was stolen from the lands of Lemenagh, parish of Kilnatoy, and barony of Inchiquin, on the night of Thursday, tbe 12th instant, or early the following morning:— A dark hay mare, 2 years old, black legs, tail, and mane, 14 hands high, shod on four feet, clipped trace high all round, turns out tbe foremost hoofs, well bred, and value for £ 30. M., on the 12th February, 1891 1. Large silver locket, with small gold diamond- shaped panel raised on it, plain silver back, a slender silver coil chain attached; all value for about £ 6 10s. 2.
