VW All Notices intended for insertion in the Hue- and- Cry are to be transmitted under'cover, addressed to the Inspector- General, Royal Irish Constabulary, Dublin Castle, authenticated by a Separate Communwation. No Description can be inserted unless an Information shall have been Sworn • but it is not necessary to forward the Informations to the Inspector- General. .11 - . Notices respecting all Folonies and such Misdemeanours as are of an aggravated nature will be inserted. All Descriptions of persons whose apprehension is sought on a charge of Misdemeanour should be accompanied by a statement that a " Warrant has been issued, and by the name of the jxirtion in whose hands it is. But the Constabulary should remember that they cannot arrest a person charged with an offence of this nature unless they have the Warrant in their possession when making the arrest. Should irregularities arise in the delivery of the Hue- and- Cry, it will be necessary to forward one of the covers, or give the number it bears, as without this information tho mistuko cannot be rectified'. Prison and Police Authorities are particularly requested to be good enough to inform the Inspector- General, Royal Irish Constabulary, Dublin Castle, of the abolition of Gaols, Stations, Ac., and of any circumstances rendering the supply of the " Hue- and- Cry " no longer necessary. M.," 12 white- handled breakfast knives, 6 electro- plated table spoons, a pair of electro- plated sugar tongs, a pair of lady's boots, a horse rug, a gray checked knee rug, and a white knitted shawl:— Mole on each cheek, speaks with a Scotch or north of England accent, has the appearance of a foreigner, dark eyes, cocked nose, dark swarthy complexion, thin face, slender make, 5 " feet 3 or 4 inches high, about 24 years of age, very " dark hair; is a domestic servant. Description of a tramp who gives his name as THOMAS KEHOE, and states he is a native of Newtown, Adamstown, county Wexford, who stands charged with having, on the 14th February, 1891, in the barony of Iverk, parish of Rathkieran, stolen two shirts, the property of Thomas Fielding:— Speaks and walks as if affected with paralysis, brown eyes, regular nose, fresh complexion, round faca, stout make, 5 feet 6 or 7 inches high, abont 40 years ot age, dark brown hair, sandy whiskers ; wore an old soft hat and dark faded serge suit. He may hire for a time with a farmer and then fry to enlist. The School dress, all with Reformatory stamp, consists of Glengarry cap, dark blue serge jacket, corduroy trowsers, and vest, Blucher boots. The Manager of the Reformatory will defray the expenses of his conveyance, if arrested, to the nearest Justice cn remand, and will reward the person who may capture him with £ 1. ( 380 H. C.) Bald patch on back of head, gray eyes, regular nose, fresh complexion, regular face, stont make, 5 feet 7 Inches high, about 34 years of age, fair hair; wore a hard hat, gray fiock coat, dark trowsers, and vest; is a horse trainer, and frequents fairs where horses are sold. 2. Dark eyes, regular nose, dark complexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 1 inch in height, about 23 years of age, dark hair; wore a dark striped petticoat and old ' ierk shawl; sells ballads and boot laces at fairs. Description of a FEMALE INFANT, found drowned on the 13th February, 1891, in the barony of Tinnahinch, parish of Rosenallis, and believed to have been murdered:— Old sores or scalds on back of ears, about 4 months old; wore two white flannel petticoats, calico bodies, calico chemise, red cotton dress, and white pinafore, edged with home embroidery. Description of MICHAEL BRENNAN, supposed to be a native of Kerry, who stands charged with having, on the 2nd February, 1891, at Kilteely, in the barony ot Coonagh, parish of Aglishcormack, stolen a silver watch from the person of Richard O'Dea, and pawnedsame in the town of Tipperary, on 4th February, 1891:— Gray or blue eyes, slightly cocked short nose, ftir complexion, small round free, ordinary make, 5 feet 2 inches high, about 23 or 24 years of age, fair hair; wore a black jerry hat, black jacket coat, trowsers, and vest; is an itinerant thimble- rigger at fairs. Description of a man who stated his name was DAVID LIVINGSTONE, and that he was a native of Ayr, Scotland, who stands charged with having, on the 24th January, 1891, in the barony of DecieB- without- Drum, parish of Dungarvan, obtained under false pretences, from George F. Power, watchmaker, Dungarvan, two watches described elsewhere:— Wore a moustache and imperial, brown eyes, regular cose, sandy complexion, thin face, slight make, 5 feet 6 or 7 inches high, about 54 years of age, sandy- gray hair; wore a black felt lyit, black overcoat, and gray trowsers. Particulars relative to Convict JOHN RYAN, c 132, convicted at Monaghan Spring Assizes, on 5th March, 1887, for larceny of £ 130, and sentenced to 5 years' penal servitude:— 25 years of age, cn conviction, single; born at Dublin, where his iriends reade, no fixed residence before conviction:— Dark hair, blue eyes, dark eyebrows, regular ncse, medium mouth, sallow complexion, round visage, stout make, 5 feet 5£ inches high, abscess mark left side of neck, swelled veins on left testicle, top of head getting bald; is a dealer. This man was released from Maryboro' Prison on Licence, the 9th in'tant, and came to Dublin, where be reported his arrival to tbe police on the 10th instant, and stated he would call the following day and notify his residence, but up to this he has failed to do so, and his present whereabouts is unknown. Long thin nose, fresh complexion, stout make, middle height, about 45 or 50 years of age, grayish hair, grayish moustache, and long beard; wore a soft black hat and long black coat patched in back of shoulders, carried a blackthorn stick; is a tramp. 2. Committed for trial at the next Quarter Sessions, for attempted rape, JOHN HASTON, alias JOHN ADDIS and JOHN NEESON, age 23; height, 6 feet inches, full brown face, brown hair, no whiskers or moustache, light brown eyes, cut mark first finger of right hand, scar left eyebrow, rather bow- legged t dress, dark rib- cloth coat ( faded), old dark mixture vest, corduroy trowsers ( small pattern), gray mixture cap with peak, lace boots, wean a silver ring on right third finger; states he was born at Leinster, Wicklow, Ireland, but brought np at 22, Spring Gardens- lane, Sunderland, and that he is known to Mr. Coleman, lodging- house keeper, off Queen- street, Sunderland; that he has a relative named John Higgens, a plasterer, in York- street; Manchester. He also states that he served 56 days training at Richmond Militia last year, that he enlisted at Middlesborough, and at the end of the training purchased his discharge. Has worked on a new railway at Barnaley, also at Leeds Gasworks, and on the Manche ster Ship Canal at Hence. Appears to have been tramping the country tome time. Wanted here, on a charge ot murder, committed on the night of Saturday, 21st February current, in Shielinghill, Hamilton, PETER CORRIGAN, or KERRIGAN, or CUNNINGHAM ( wife's maiden name is Durkin), labourer, native of Ireland; but been a good many years about Glasgow, Hamilton, and Wert of Scotland; about 55 years of age, 5 feet 9 or 10 inches high, ordinary make, stoops slightly when walking or standing, dark complexion, longish feature!, rather broad at cheeks and narrower at chin, lips rather thin, or fall in slightly as if some of front teeth were awanting, hair beginning to turn gray, clean shaved, but if moustache or whiskers allowed to grow, they are likely to be gray; dressed in dark coat, vest, and trowsers, or may be wearing grayish trowsers— probably all half worn, black or dark blue cloth cap with glased peak, rather broad in crown, worn with peak down on forehead and front of cap raited up and turned over on the side. Absconded on Monday fore- noon, 23rd instant. Accused is of a somewhat sullen and unsociable disposition, and when not working was generally teen standing alone about some of the street corners with the breast button of his coat fastened, and his hands in his trowsers pockets. Has worked as a mason's labourer, and as a'brusher or roadsman in pits. Has also been employed on Anchor Line of ships between Glasgow and America, and has gone about as a pedlar hawking laces and matches. He may endeavour to leave the country. Police Officers are earnestly requested to make immediate and special search and enquiry for accused at shipping offices, steamboat quays, new buildings in course of erection, and at farms, quarries, coal pits, and other public works. Enquiry is also requested to be made at common lodging houses, and also at brick works and oth « r places where tramps without money are likely to seek lodgings. If found, apprehend, and wire me. Description of a horse, the property of Edmond Sweeny, which was stolen from the lands of Lemenagh, parish of Kilnatoy, and barony of Inchiquin, on the night of Thursday, tbe 12th instant, or early the following morning:— A dark bay mare, 2 years old, black legs, tail, and mane, 14 hands high, shod on four feet, clipped trace high all round, turns but the foremost hoofs, well bred, and value for £ 30. M., on the 12th February, 1891 :— 1. Large silver locket, with • mall gold diamond- shaped panel raised en it, plain silver back, a slender silver coil chain attached; all value for about £ 6 10 » . 2.
