Antrim, Description of a MAN, name unknown, native of Poland, Russia, who stands charged with having, on tba nigbt of 12th or morning of 13th October, 1890, in the barony of Lower Belfast, parish of Temple- pAtrick, stolen from the dwelling- house of Thomas Hugh Barron, of Craigarogan, the following articles, via.:— A silver Geneva watcb, No. 85, 607 or 85,608; • teel chain with pendant attached, red on one side, blue on otbor, a crack on red side; a black serge coat end vest, trimmed with braid, nearly new; a pair of strong laced boots, newly mended, with patches on eoles at toes; a corduroy purse containing \\ d. Description of PETER MURRIN, native place unknown, who stands charged with having, on the 22od October, 1890, in the barony of Tulla Lower, parish of Ogonnelloe, stole a a mare, the property of Messrs. Bailey and Bostock, menagerie proprietors, which be afterwards sold:— Speaks with an English accent, blue eyes, ordinary nose, dark complexion, round face, medium make, 5 feet 3 or 4 inches higb, about 30 years of age, dark hair; wore a shabby tweed coat, troweers, and vest; is a stable help. Description of MICHAEL GOGGIN and JAMES GOGGIN, natives of Ballinagree, and JEREMIAH NEILL, native of Rahalisk, county Cork, who stand charged with bavin?, on the 5th November, 1890, in the barony of East Muskerry, parish of Donoughmore, seriously assaulted one William R. Hounihan, of Derry, county Cork:— 1. High cheek bones, sharp chin, awkward gait, no beard or whiskers, gray eyes, regular nose, fair fom* plexicn, thin face, medium make, 5 feet 9 inches high, about 20 years of age, black hair; wore a round soft hat, gray tweed coat, trowsers, and vest; is a labourer. 2. Shaves all his face except moustache which is black, dark eyes, regular nose, dark complexion, round face, stout wake, 5 feet 8 inches high, about 24 years of age, black hair; wore a hard hat, gray coat, dark trowsers and vest; is a labourer. 3. No beard or whiskers, dark eyes, regular nose, dark complexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 6 inctes bigb, about 20 years of age, brown hair; wore a cap, dark coat, gray trowsers and vest; is a labourer. ( 4966 c— 81457.) ttcod , qiO DO [ adonia i Dublin. unknown, Description of MAN who stands charged with having, on the 27th day of Nov- ember, 1890, in the barony of Coolock, parish Of Clontar', attempted to obtain money by falsely representing, at the public- house of John Clinton, Clontarf, that he had, about a fortnight previously, purchased some drink there, and had not time to wait for change:— Speaks quickly and has good aldresa, brown eyes, regular nose, fair complexion, oval face, stout make, 5 feet 6 or 7 inches high, about 25 yean of age, brown hair; wore a dark brown jerry bat, navy blue necktie with white spots black short coat, light tweed trowsers, and black vest; states he was a tram conductor, is a porter at a library in Dublin. Description of WILLIAM COLLINS, native of Clonbeggean, county Galway, who stands charged with having, on the 23rd November, 1890, in the barony of Clare, pariah of Claregalway, ssriously assaulted William Shaughnessy, by stabbing him with a penknife, thereby placing his life in danger:— Gray eyes, long nose, fresh complexion, thin face, slight make, 5 feet 9£ inches high, about 28 years of age, brown hair; wore a brown hat, frieze coat, corduroy trowsers, and dark vest; is a very small farmer. Description of JAMES MAHER, native place unknown, who stands charged with haviag, on the night of the 1st or morning of the 2nd December, 1890, in the barony of Gowran, parish of Blanch- villeckiln, stolen from the dwellinghouse of Nicholas Doyle, of Roughfleld, the sum of £ 13 15a. and a pair of new brown corduroy trowsers:— Walks with a slight halt, fresh complexion, smart appearance, sandy moastaohe and side whiskers turning gray, 5 feet 10 inches high, about 45 years of age, sandy hair; wore a soft brown hat, round brown tweed coat, corduroy trtwsers ( imitation velvet); belongs to Army Reserve; is a labourer. Warrant for his arrest in the hands of District Inspector, Kilkenny. Kilkenny, 4th December, 1890. ( 6369 c— 84019.) Description of RICHARD BARRY and JOHN KIRBY, natives of Ballinacrunny, who stand charged with having, on the night of 18th or morning of 19th November, 1890, in the barony of Iverk, parish of ^ Whitechurch, stolen three heifers, the property of ThomaS Robertson:— 1. Down looking, bronze complexion, thin face, medium make, 6 feet high, about 21 years of age, brawn hair; wore a black round coat, light trowsers, and vest; is a labourer. 2. Thin face, slight make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 40 years of age; is a labourer. Callan, 25th November, 1890. ( 83709). Description of JOHN SHANNAHAN, native place unknown, who stands charged with having, on the llth day of November, 1890, in the barony of Gowran, parish of St John's, stolen a bullock, three years old, and value £ 19, the property of Michael Lyng, of Lower Grange:— Walks as if foot sore, regular nose, dark complexion, high cheek bones, medium make, 5 feet 8 inches higb, about 45 or 50 years of age, dark hair; shaved face, black moustache turning gray; wore a round hard hat, short dark tweed coat, and white muffler with spptB; is drover. Warrant in Kilkenny. Kilkenny.. 13tl carried away the following articles of wearing apparel, the property of one David Brudno, viz.:— One double- breastea brown coat, value £ 1 2s. 6d.; a single vest, same material; a boy's dark gray overcoat, value 7 » . 6d.; a blue pilot overcoat, value 18* 5 a dark gray sack coat, value 8*.; a hard ronnd hat, maker's name M Robinson, Drogheda"; and several other articles of wearing apparel:— Black eyes, rag alar nose, sallow complexion, medium make, 5 feet 5 inches high, about 21 years of age, black early hair; wore a black felt hat, dark coat, gray tweed trowsers and vest, strong laced boots with nails, may be wearing some of the stolen articles t is a pedlar. Has friends residing in Jewish Synagogue, Lennox- street, Dublin. Warrant for his arrest is in hands of D. I. at Drogheda. Drogheda, 5th 0 tober, 1890. ( 5146 0.— 18781.) Mayo. Description of TIMOTHY FREEMAN, native of Derrycastle, who is of weak intellect, and missing from his home, at Derrycastle, in the barony of Costelloe, parish of Aughamore:— Brown eyes, long thin drooped nose, sallow complexion, thin face, worn appearance, medinm make, 5 feot 2 inches high, about 35 years of age, short back, black hair, thin beard; wore a one- peak brown tweed cap, velvet coat, corduroy trowsers, black tweed vest, and clogs; is a labourer. A Warrant for his arrest is in the hands of the Police. Ballaghaderreen, 1st Oct- 1890. ( 5159 C— 81799.) Nonaghan, Description of FRANCIS FINNEGAN ( mother's surname M'Mahon), native of Cormoy, who stands charged with having, on the 4th November, in the barony of Dartree, parish of Killeevan, threatened to murder William Little, of Listellan, and others, and to destroy certain houses with dynamites— Square shonlders, slightly freckled face, good address, wears all his beard which is clipped short, gray eyes, regular nose, fair complexion, round face, stoat make, 6 feet 6 or 1 inches high, about 40 or 45 years of age, brown wore a black coat, gray twead js a carpenter, generally works Warrant is in the hands of 1890. I notes receipt on the Ulster Bank ( or £ 5, from James M'Cabe, of Croghan Demesnes with whom he was living as a farm servant:— A good looking boy, Woe or gray eyes, slightly cocked nose, fair 00m- plexion, stout make, 5 feet 4 inches high, about 15 or 16 years of age; wore a tweed oap, twoed coat, moleskin trowsers, tweed vest and Blucher boots; is a farm labourer. Lately discharged from the Philipstown Reformatory, where he had been for five years. The Sergeant at Croghanhill holds Warrant for his arrest. Edenderry, 3rd Dec., 1890. ( 6348 c.— 83971.) Description of TWO MEN, names unknown, who stand charged with having, on the night of 19th Sep- tember, 1890, about 9£ p. m., in the barony of Bally- cowan, parish of Durrow, entered the house of Peter Geoghegan, of Ballinamona, and robbed him of the sum of £ 25, consisting of one ten pound and three five pound notes, numbers unknown:— 1. Shaved face, sandy moustache, 5 feet 9 or 10 inches high, about 24 yoars of age; wore a black hat and short dark coat. 2. Fair complexion, shaved face, 5 feet 8 or 9 inches high, about 24 yeara of age j wore a black hat and dark ti « eed iuit. Information swora, and Warrants are in the lianas of the District Inspector at Tullamore. Tullamore, 20th Sept., 1890. ( 4869 c— 81279.) Londonderry. Description of JAMES HAUGHEY, native of Knock aneal, who stands charged with having, on the 28th October, 1890, in the barony of Longhinsholin, parish of Maghera, with two others, seriously assaulted one William Bradley, and having been bailed to appear at Maghera Petty Sessions on 29th November, 1890, to take his trial tor said offonco, failel to do so :—. He is an Irish- American, and has a small cut- mark on back of head ; dark eyes, regular nose, dark complexion, thin face, medium make, 5 feet 10 inches high, about 28 years of ege, dark hair ; wore a dark twoed coat, dark trowserp, dark vest; is a farmer's son. The District In- spector at Magherafelt holds a Warrant for this man's wwifc : Magherafelt, 15 Dec., 1890. ( 5770 c.— 94359.) HOGAN, native of gad with having, on the im, in the barony of Kil- namanagH^ ffH^ pmish of Toem, unlawfully stabbed one Edmond Noonan in the breast with a koife, thereby placing his life in danger:— Gray eyes, rather cocked nose, pale complexion, thin face, smart make, 5 feet 6 inches higb, about 20 years of age, fair hair ; wore a gray suit of clothes; is a labourer. Dundram, 16th August, 1890. ( 4170 c.— 80115.) Particulars relative to Convict PATRICK O'BRIEN, c 263, convicted at Clonmel Assizes, county Tipperary, on 19th July, 1888, for the larceny of a pair of blankets, and sentenced to 5 years* penal servitude:— 26 years of age on conviction, single; is a labourer; born at Clonmel, where he resided before conviction, and where his friends reside- Dark brown hair, hazel eyes, dark brown eyebrows, medium nose, medium mouth, sallow complexion, oval visage, proportionate make, 5 feet 5i inches high, cut mark left side Cf head and between left thumb and f jreflnger, burn mark on left knee and shin. This man was released from Mountjoy Prison on 20th December, 1889, and went to reside at Clon- mel. He failed to report himself to the R. I. C. there on the 2nd inst,, he is suspected of having committed larceny, and his present whereabouts is unknown. In the event of his arrest he should be dealt with under section 5 of 34 and 35 Vic., cap. 1 IS. ( 831 H. C.) JOHN LYNCH ( sheep stealing), described in issue of 3rd October, not arrested. Tyrone, THOMAS HAMILTON, alias DONNELLY, native of Armagh, ALEXANDER HAWTHORNE, alias SAMUEL JAMES NEAL, native of Cookstown, WILLIAM M'KNIGHT, alias CURRY, alias M'WILLIAMS, native of Armagh, not arrested; Hue- and- Cry, 28th October, 1890. GEORGE WALKER ( released convict), des- sribod in issue of 12th September, not arrested. ( 389 n. c. 1 Louth. Description of MAURICE WOLFE, native of Russia, who stands charged with having, on the 2nd October, 1890, at Drogheda, in tho barony of Drogheda, parish of St. Peter's, unlawfully stolen, taken, and Wicklow. Description of HENRY JOHNSTON, native of county Wexford ( supposed New Ross), who stands charged with having, on the 2nd day of December, 1890, in the barony of Newcastle, parish of Kilcommon, stolen five bags of oats, the property of Margaret Jones, of Bohana — Wants an upper front tooth, mark of boil on left cheek near ear, dark eyes, regular nose, { tale complexion, round face, medium make, 5 feet 6' nches higb, about 87 years of age; wore an old gray tweed coat, trowsars, and vest, all much worn; is a tramping labourer. Warrant far his arrest in the hands of District Inspector at Wicklow. Wicklow, 4th December, 189a ( 6391 c.— 84062.) Depcription of PATRICK KERRIGAN, aliaa CONNOR or COMBER, native of Dumana, county Galway, who stands charged with having, on tha 14th July, 1890, in the barony of Upper Talbotstown, parish of Baltinglass, committed perjury:— Gray eyes, long nose, sallow c implexion, long face, medium make, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 60 years of age, black hair turning gray; wore a dark hard hat, dark coat, trowsers, and vest; is a horse and cattle dealer. Speaks with a Galway accent; deals iu Connetiara ponies; is known to the Police ia Kildare, Carlow, Meath, Tyrone, Wexford, and Roscommon, where ha has prosecuted parties for lareeny fro31 the person. Warrant for his arrest. Dunlavin, 5th November, 1890. ( 5848. 0— 82977). Description of LAWRENCE MOONEY, native of Dublin, who stands charged with having, on tha 14th October, 1890, in tbe barony of Arklow, parish of Kilpoole, made his escape from Wicklow Gaol, where he had been confined on remand charged with larceny of money:— Blue eyes, long nose, fresh com- plexion, small thin face, slight make, 5 fe 3£ inches high, about 16 years of age, fair hair ; wore a brown hard bat, old gray tweed coat, dark twaad trowsers and vest, black tie, and laced boots; is a licenced car- driver in Dablin. Has friends in Dublin, Kingstown, and Rathdrum. Information sworn and warrant in hands of District Inspector at Wicklow. Wicklow, 16th Oct., 1890. ( 5437 c.— 82267.) Description of a juvenile offender, who absconded from Glencree Reformatory School on 14th De- cember, at about eight o'clock EDWARD GRANT, 2199, about 18 or 19 years of age, 5 feet 2 or 3 inches high, stout make, fresh complexion, brown hair, gray eyes, ordinary nose, slightly prominent mouth, oval visage ; one upper front tooth broken, cross on right arm and dots on left; a slight impediment in his speech; is a good tailor; formerly belonged to 9, Upper Dominick- street, Dublin 1 his parents are dead. Will probably call to a friend of his, Mr. O'Clancy, 191, Great Britain- street, Dublin. The School dress, all with Reformatory Stamp, consists of:— Cloth cap ( Scotch make), corduroy jacket, trowsers, and vest, elastic belt, strong nailed boots, No 2199. Reward will be paid for his apprehension, and all expenses paid. 15 December, 1890. ( 357 H. C.) Description of a juvenile offender who absconded fro* Glencree Reformatory School, on 14th December, at about 8 o'clock:— PATRICK BYRNE, 2312, about 17 or 18 years of age, 5 feet 2 inches high, stout make, fresh complexion, brown hair, bias eyes, ordinary nose, ordinary mouth, oval visage; formerly belonged to Roundtown, Dublin. His mother, Mary Byrne, was servant in police station, Roundtown, some years ago. " P" and other tattoo marks on right arm, crosses, on left. Particulars relative to convict JOHN WILLIAM- SON, c. ? 5, convicted at Hilary Sessions, Dublin, on llth January, 1886, for larceny, and seatenoed to 5 years' penal servitudo:— 26 years of age oa convic- tion, single; is a labourer; bo- n at Swords t raside 1 in Dublin before conviction, where his friends reside. Docription:— Black h » ir, hazel eyes; bl ick eyebrows, small nose, small mouth, fresh complexion round visaga. stoat make, 5 feet 8 inches high; bura mark under right breast. This man was releasjd from Maryb> ro' prison on licence, 17th December, 1889, and went to reside in Dublin. He recently left his lodgings, 6, Moore's- cottagci, Upper Rutland- street, without* • notifying • change of residence to tha police, and his present whereabouts is unknown. Description of a juvenile offender who absconded from Glencree Reformatory School, on 6th December, JOHN KELLY, 2314, about 19 years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high) stout make, fair complexion, brown hair, blue eyes, long and straight nose, ordinary mouth, long and good- looking visage; formerly belonged to 8, Chapter- place, Dublin; cut marks over right eye and on left knee. The School dress, all with Reformatory Stamp, consists of:— Cloth cap ( Scotch make), corduro" jacket, trowsers, and vest, elastic belt, strong —" nailed boots, No. 2314. Lancashire, Absconded on the 10th inst, and now charged by " Warrant with embezzlement, JAMES BURNS MEUDELL, a joiner by trade, and lately superin- tendent of one of the Corporation Baths in this citv. He is about 40 years of age, 5 feet 9 inches high, stout build, round full face, fresh complexion, dark brown hair, full whiskers and moustache; dressed when last seen in a dark ribbed cloth morning ooat and vest, dark trowsers, hard black billycock hat, and low shoes.
