Description of a MAN, name unknown, native wf Poland, Russia, who standi charged with having, en the night of 12th or morning of 18th October, l'fe90, in the barony of Lower Belfast, parish of Temple- patrick, stolen from the dwelling- house of Thomas Hugh Barron, of Craigarogan, the following articles, vis.:— A silver Geneva watch, No. 83, 607 or 85,608; ateel chain with pendent attached, red on one side, blue on other, a crack on red side; a black serge eoat and vest, trimmed with braid, nearly new; a pair of strong laced bootp, newly mended, with patches on soles at tees; a cordutoy purse containing llrf. i-—. Turn in bis eyes, turns out his toes when walkimg, no hair on face except small light moustache, gray eyes, regular nose, fair complexion, round face, very stoiit make, 5 feet 8 or 9 inches high, about 22 years of age, fiair hair; supposed to be wearing the stolen clothes, as he left his own old ones behind him; is a labourer, A Warrant has been issued for his arrest. Description of PETER MURRIN, native place unknown, who stands charged with having, on the 22nd October, 1890, in the barony of Tulla Lower, parish « f Ogonnelloe, stolen a mare, the property of Messrs. Bailey and Bostock, menagerie proprietors, which be afterwards sold:— Speaks with an English accent, blue eyes, ordinary nose, dark complexion, roond face, medium make, 5 feet 3 or 4 inches high, about 30 years of age, dark hair; wore a shabby tweed ooat, trowsers, and vest; is a stable help. Description of MICHAEL GOGGIN and JAMES GOGGIN, natives c'f Billinagree, and JEREMIAH NEILL, native of Rahalisk, county Cork, who stand charged with having, on the 5th November, 1890, in the barony of East Musketry, parish of Donoughmore, seriously assaulted one William R. Honnihan, of Derry, county Cork:— 1. High cheek bones, sharp chin, awkward gait, no beard or whiskers, gray eyes, regular nose, fair com- plexion, thin face, medium make, 5 feet 9 inches high, about 20 years of age, black hair; wore a round soft hat) gray tWeed ocat, trowsers, and vest; is a labourer. 2. Shaves all his face except iroustache which is Mack, dark eyes, regular nose, dark complexion, rcund face, stout irake, 5 f eet 8 indies high, about 24 years of age, black hair; wore a hard hat, gray coat, dark trowsers and vest; is a labourer. 8. Description of SAMUEL MATHEWS ( mother's surname Rowan), native of Dromara, who stands charged with having, on the night of 5th or morning of the 6th November, 1890, in the barony of Lower IveagH ( lower half), parish of Dromara, burglariously entered tie licensed premises of Bridget M'Kinney, of WILLIAM M'GREGORY ( burglary), described in issue of 7th November, not arrested. 24th September, 1890. Dublin, Description of MAN unknown, who stands charged with having, on the 27th day, of Nov- ember, 1890, in the barony of Coolock, parish of Clontarf, attempted to obtain money by falsely representing, at the public- house of John Clinton, Clontarf, that he had, about a fortnight previously, purchased some drink there, and had not time to wait for change;— Speaks quickly and has good address, brown eyes, regular nose, fair complexion, oval face, stout make, 5 feet 6 or 7 inches high, about 25 years of sge, brown hair; wore a dark brown jerry hat, navy blue necktie with white spots, black short cDat, light tweed trowsers, and black vest; states he was a tram conductor, is a porter at a library in Dublin. Description of WILLIAM COLLINS, native of Clonbeggeen, county Gal way, who stands charged with having, on the 23rd November, 1890, in the barony of Clare, parish of Claregalway, seriously assaulted William Shaughnessy, by stabbing him with a penknife, thereby placing his life in danger:— Gray eyes, long nose, fresh complexion, thin face, slight make, 5 feet 9£ inches high, about 28 years of age, brown hair j wore a brown hat, frieze coat, corduroy trowsers, and dark vest; is a very small farmer. Description of JAMES MAHER, native place unknown, who stands charged with having, 01 the night of the 1st or morning of the 2nd December, 1890, in the barony of Gowran, parish of Blanch- villeskiln, stolen from the dwellinghouse of Nicholas Doyle, of Roughfield, the sum of £ 13 15s and a pair of new brown corduroy trowsers:— Walks with a slight halt, fresh complexi m, smart appearance, sandy moustache and side whiskers turning gray, 5 feet 10 inches high, about 45 years of age, sandy hair; wore a soft brown hat, round brown tweed coat, corduroy trowsers ( imitation velvet); belongs to Army Reserve; is a labourer. Warrant for his arrest in the hands of District Inspector, Kilkenny. Kilkenny, 4th December, 1890. ( 6369 c— 84019.) Mayo. Description of TIMOTHY FREEMAN, native of Derrycastle, who is of weak intellect, and missing from his home, at Derrycastle, in the barony of Costelloe, parish of Aughamore:— Brown eyes, long thin drooped nose, sallow complexion, thin face, worn appearance, medium make, 5 feet 2 inches high, about 35 years of age, short back, black hair, thin beard; wore a one- peak brown tweed cap, velvet coat, corduroy trowsers, black tweed vest, and clogs; is a labourer. Description of RICHARD BARRY and JOHN KIRBY, natives of Ballibacrunny, who stand charged wit1! having, on the night of 18th or morniag of 19th November, 1890, in the barony of Iverk, parish of Whitechurch, stolen three heifers, the property of Thomas Robertson:— 1. Down looking, bronze complexion, thin face, medium make, 6 feet high, about 21 years of age, bro rn hair; wore a black round coat, light trowsers, and vest; is a labourer. 2. Thin face, slight make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 40 years of age; is a labourer. Callan, 25th November, 1890. ( 2.— 83709). Description of JOHN SHANNAHAN, native place unknown, who stands ct arged with having, on the 11th day of November, 1890, in the barony of Gowran, parish of St John's, stolen a bullock, three years old, and value £ 12, the property of Michael Lyng, of Lower Grange:— Walks as if foot sore, regular nose, dark complexion, high cheak bones, medium make, 5 feet 8 inches high, about 45 or 50 years of age, dark hair; shaved face, black moustache turning gray; wore a round hard hat, short dark tweed coat, and white muffler with spots; is a cattle drover. Warrant in hands of District Inspectoi Kilkenny. Kilkenny, 13 th November, Monaghan, Description of FRANCIS FINNEGAN ( mother's surname M'Mahon), native of Cormoy, who stands charged with having, on the 4 th November, in the barony of Dartree, parish of Killeevan, threatened to murder William Little, of Listellan, and others, and to destroy certain houses with dynamite:— Square shoulders, slightly freckled face, good address, wears all his beard which is clipped short, gray eyes, regular nose, fair complexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 6 or 7 inches high, about 40 or 45 years of age, brown hair turning gray; wore a black coat, gray twead trowders and vest; is a carpenter, generally works about timber yards. A Warrant is in the hands of the Constabulary, at Clones. Clones, 18th November, 1890. ( 5953 c._ 83255.) iion BalHi 29th barony of Low3^^ WmppnM| HM( r of Ball. stolen three Bank of Ireland £ 1 notes and a TSbsit receipt on the Ulster Bank for £ 5, from James M'Cabe, of Croghan Demesne, with whom he was living as a farm servant:— A good looking boy, blue or gray eyes, slightly cocked nose, fair com- plexion, stout make, 5 feet 4 in; hes high, abont 15 or 16 years of age; wore a tweed cap, tweed coat, moleskin trowsers, tweed vest and Blacher boots; ii a farm hbrrarer. Lately discharged from the Philipstown Reformatory, where he had been far five years. The Sergeant at Craghanhill holds Warrant for his arrest. Edenderry, 8rd Dec., 1891. ( 6348 c.— 88971.) Description of TWO MEN, names unknown, who stand charged with having, on the night of 19th Sep- tember, 1890, about 9£ p. m., in the barony of Bally- cowan, parish of Durrow, entered the house of Peter Geoghegan, of Ballinamona, and robbed him of the sum of £ 25, consisting of one ten pound and three five pound notes, numbers unknown:— 1. Shaved face, sandy moustache, 5 feet 9 or 10 inches high, about 24 years of age; wore a black hat and short dark coat. 2. Fair complexion, shaved face, 5 feet 8 or 9 inches high, about 24 years of age; wore a black hat and dark tweed suit. Information sworn, and Warrants are in the hanas of the District Inspector at Tullamore. , Tullamore, 20th Sept., 1890. ( 4869 c 81279.) Londonderry. GEORGE WALKER ( released convict), des- eribed in issue of 12th September, not arrested. ( 329 IT. o.^ Louth. Description of MAURICE WOLFE, native of Russia, who stands charged with having, on the 2nd October, 1890, at Drogheda, in the barony of Drogheda, parish of St. Peter's, unlawfully stolen, taken, and carried away the following articles of wearing apparel, the property of one David Brudno, viz.:— One double- breasted brown coat, value £ 1 2s. 6d.; a single vest, same material; a boy's dark gray overcoat, value Is. 6d.; a blue pilot overcoat, value 18*.; a dark gray sack coat, value 8*.; a hard round hat, maker's name " Robinson, Drogheda"; and saveral other articles of wearing apparel:— Black eyes, regular nose, sallow complexion, medium make, 5 feet 5 inches high, about 21 years of age, blaok curly hair; wore a black felt hat, dark coat, gray tweed trowsers and vest, strong laced boots with nails, may be wearing some of the stolen articles; is a pedlar. Has friends residing in Jewish Synagogue, Lennox- street, Dublin. Warrant for his arrest is in hands of D. I. at Drogheda. Drogheda, 5tb 0 tober, 1890. ^ 5146 o.— 18781.) Tipperary. Description of PATRICK HOGAN, native of Ballykeveen, who stands charged with having, on the 15th August, 1890, at Toem, in the barony of Kil- namanagh Upper, parish of Toem, unlawfully stabbed one Edmond Noonan in the breast with a knife, thereby placing his life in danger:— Gray eyes, rather cocked nose, pale complexion, thin face, smart make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 20 years of age, fair hair ; wore a gray suit of clothes; is a labourer. Dundrum, 16th August, 1890. ( 4170 c— 80115.) ConvictPATRICK O'BRIEN, niel Assizes, county Tipperary, " xceny of a pair of blankets, nal servitude:— 26 years is a labourer ; born at > ra conviction, and where wn hair, hazel eyes, dark i, m odium mouth, sallow iportionato make, 5 feet side of head and between left thumb and forefinger, burn mark on left knee and shin. This man was released from Mountjoy Prison on 20th December, 1889, and went to reside at Clon- mel. He failed to report himself to the R. I. C. there on the 2nd inst,, he is suspected of having - committed larceny and his present whereabouts is unknown. In the event of his arrest he should be dealt with under section 5 of 34 and 35 Vic., cap. 112. ( 331 H. C.) JOHN LYNCH ( sheep stealing), described in issue of 3rd October, not arrested. THOMAS HAMILTON, alias DONNELLY, native of Armagh, ALEX ANDER HAWTHORNE, alias SAMUEL JAMES NEAL, native of Cookstown, WILLIAM M'KNIGHT, alias CURRY, alias M'WILLIAMS, native of Armagh, not arrested; Hue- and- Cry, 28th October, 1890. ( 4213 c.— 80384.) PATRICK SHARKEY ( rape), described in Hue- and- Cry of 13th May, not arrested. ( 517 c.—. 73739.) Wicklow. Description of HENRY JOHNSTON, native of county Wexford ( supposed Naw Ross), who stands charged with having:, on the 2nd diy of December, 1890, in the barony of Newcastle, parish of Kilcommon, stolen five bags of oats, the property of Margaret Jones, of Bohana:— Wants an upper front tooth, mark of boil on left cheek near ear, dark eyes, regular nose, pale complexion, round face, mediam make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 87 years of age; wore an old gray tweed coat, trows » s, and vest, all much worn; is a tramping labourer. Warrant for his arrest ia the hands of District Inspector at Wicklow. Wicklow, 4th December, 189a ( 6391 o— 84062.) Description of PATRICK KERRIGAN, alias CONNOR or COMBER, native of Dumana, county Galway, who stands charged with having, on the 14th July, 1890, in the barony of Upper Talbotstown, parish of Baltinglass, committed perjury:— Gray eyes, long nose, sallow c implexion, long faoe, madium make, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 60 years of age, blajk hair turning gray ; wore a dark hard hat, dark coit, trowsers, and vest; is a horse and cattle dealer. Speaks with a Galway accant; deals ia Connenara ponias; is known to tha Police in Kildare, Carlow, Meath, Tyroie, Wexford, and Roscommon, whera he has prosecuted parties for larceny from the person. Warrant for his arrest. Dunlavin, 5th November, 1890. ( 5843. c— 82977). Description of LAWRENCE MOONEY, native of Dublin, who stands charged with having, on the 14th October, 1890, in the barony of Arklow, parish of Kilpoola, made his escape from Wicklow Gaol, where he had baen confined on remand charged with larceny of money:— Blue eyes, long nose, fresh com- plexion, small thin face, slight make, 5 fe inches high, about 16 years of age, fair hair ; wore a brown hard hat, old gray tweed coat, dark tweed trowsers and vest, black tie, and laced boots; is a licenced car- driver in Dublin. Has friends in Dublin, Kingstown, and Rathdrum. Information sworn and warrant in hands of District Inspector at Wicklow. Wiaklow, 16th Oct., 1890. ( 5437 c.— 82267.) DUBLIN METROPOLITAN POLICE. C Division, Particulars relative to convict JOHN WILLIAM- SON, c. 35, convicted at Hilary Sessions, Dublin, on 11th January, 1886, for larceny, and sentenced to 5 years' penal servitude:— 26 years of age on convic- tion, single; is a labourer; bo; n at Swords; reside! in Dublin before convistion, where his friends reside. Detcription :— Black hsir, hazel eyes, black eyebrows, small nose, small month, fresh complexion, round visaga. stoat make, 5 feet 8 iaches high; burn mark under right breast. This man was released from Maryboro' prison on licence, 17th December, 1889, and went to reside in Dublin. He recently left his lolgings, 6, Moore's- cottagej, Upper Rutland- street, without notifying change of residence to the police, and his prcsjnt whereabouts is unknown. In tie event of his arrest he should be dealt with under s? c. 6 of the Act 34 and 35 Vic., cap. 112. 15th December, 1890. ( 361 n. c.) Description of a juvenile offender who absconded from Glencree Reformatory School, on 6th December, JOHN KELLY, 2314, about 19 years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, stout make, fair complexion, brown hair, blue eyes, long and straight nose, ordinary month, long and good- looking visage; formerly belonged to 8, Chapter- place, Dublin; cut marks over right eye and on left knee. The School dress, all with Reformatory Stamp, consists of:— Cloth cap ( Scotch make), corduroy jacket, trowsers, and vest, elastic belt, strong and nailed boots, No. 2314. Will probably endeavour to enlist in the army, where there are several companions of his. Expenses will be paid and a reward given for his apprehension. 6th December, 1890. ( 363 H. C.) HUGH MULDOON, alias WILLIAM JOHN JACKSON ( released convict), described in issue of 7th November, 1890, not arrested. 15th September, 1890. ( 345 h. C.) Convict MARY MACVICKER, described in issue of 3rd October, not arrested. General Prisons Board, 21st August, 1890. ( 339 H. C.) ENGLISH POLICE. Lancashire. Absconded on the 10th inst., and now charged by Warrant with embezzlement, JAMES BURNS MEUDELL, a joiner by trade, and lately superin- tendent of one of the Corporation Baths in this city. He is about 40 years of age, 5 feet 9 inches high, stout baild, round full face, fresh complexion, dark brown hair, full whiskers and moustache; dressed when last seen in a dark ribbed cloth morning coat and vest, dark trowsers, hard black billycock hat, and low shoes. Please cause every possible enquiry to be made at all likely pieces, and if found, arrest and wire to GEORGE WILLIAMS, Chief Superintendent. Liverpool, 21st October, 1890. ( 353 h. C.) Lincolnshire. Description of DAVID SMITH ( supposed false) who stands charged on Warrant with having, on the 21st day of September, 1890, in the parish of Luddington, feloniously set fire to 8 wheat stacks, 2 oat stacks, 1 hay stack, and 2 straw stacks, the property of Thomas Bladworth :— From 21 to 24 years of age, 5 feet 1 or 2 inches high, fair complexion, blue eye?, light brown hair cut short, very slight light moustache, no wfliakers> slim build. Dressed in brown check cloth coat, dark cloth trowaers and vest, white neckerchief, light rough cloth cap, peak of same material, and light lace boots. May be gathering rags and bones, rather fond of singing in public houses, likely to be found in low beer or lodging houses. Description of BENJAMIN HIGGS, alias TED HIGGS, native of Kensworth, resided at Hove, wanted on Warrant for larceny at Hove, on the 31st October, 1890:— 26 years of age, about 5 feet 3 inches high, brown hair, gray eyes, sharp thin nose, sallow complexion, very slight figure, long droop- ing moustache, walks upright and quickly; dressed in black Oxford hat, black dost coat, brown vest, gray striped trowsers, button boots} is a bntcher. Was apprenticed at Ealing, and may be found in Smithfleld Market. Information to MAJOB TEEVAN, Chief Constable of Hove. Chief Constable's Office, Hove, 5th November, 1890. ( 357 H. C.) Westmoreland. SAMUEL JOHNSTON, alias GEORGE GRAHAM ( escaped convict), described in issue of 21st November, not arrested. ( 318 H. C.) Yorkshire. Particulars of HOUGHTON PARKINSON, whose apprehension is sought for embezzlement, native of Dewsbury, 30 years of age, 5 feet 4 inches high, dark complexion, dark brown hair, dark beard and moustache, walks lame and carries a stick in his right hand; by trade a painter, but has been employed as a painter's clerk; mixture suit, and black billy- cock hat. Wanted here on a Magistrate's Warrant for having, between 4th and 7th instant, fraudulently obtained food and lodgings, also attempt to obtain money on false pretences, WILLIAM KIDD, a tramp, gardener or sawmiller, native of Kirkden, Forfarshire, 38 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches in height, stout build, fair hair, sandy moustache, no beard or whiskers, very red cheeks, wants part of thamb left hand, and part of third finger right hand; dress, dark tweed checked suit, heavy short dark overcoat, lined with light checked tweed, strong watertight lacing boots, black hard felt hat, and carried a walking- stick, smart appearance and good address. This man tramps the country and calls on gardeners and asks for work. If successful he may work for a few days and then leaves without paying bis lodgings. Has been convicted of fraud in the county of Forfar, and in the bnrgh of Kirkcaldy.
