CIT All Notices intended tor insertion in the Hue- and- Ory are to be transmitted under cover, addressed to the Inspector- General, Royal Irish Constabulary, Dublin Castle, authenticated by a Separate Communication. No Description can be inserted unless an Information chall have been Sworn; but it is not necessary la forward the Informations to the Inspector- General. Notices respecting all Felonies and such Misdemeanours as are of an aggravated nature will be inserted. All Descriptions of persons whose apprehension is sought on a oharge of Misdemeanour should be accompanied by a statement that a Warrant has been issued, by the name of the person in whose hands it is. But the Constabulary should remember that they cannot arrest a person charged with an offence of thi » • ature unless they have the Warrant in their possession when mnking the arrest. *.* Should irr. - ilarities arise in the delivery of the Hue- and- Cry, it will be necessary to forward one of the covers, or give the number it bears, as without this Information the mistake cannot be rectified. • ! j" Prison and Police Authoritiee are j> articularly ' oqueuted to be good enough to inform the Inspector- General, Royal Irish Constabulary, Dublin Castla of the abolition of Gaols, Stations, < ko., and of any cirour rendering the supply of the " Hue^ nd- Cry " no longer necessary. Antrim, Description of a MAN, name unknown, native of Poland, Russia, who stands charged with having, on the night of 12th or morning of 13th Oclober, 1890, in the barony of Lower Belfast, parish of Teraple- patrick, stolen from the dwelling- house of thomas Hugh Barron, of Craigarogan, the following articles, • iz.:— A silver Geneva watcb, No. 85, 607 or 85,608; steel chain with pendant attached, red on one side, blue on other, a crack on red side; a black serge coat and vest, trimmed with braid, nearly new; a pair of • trong laced boots, newly mended, with patches on soles at toes; a cordurOy purse containing lid.:— Turn in his eyes, turns out his toes when walking, no bur on face except small light moustache, gray eyes, regular nose, fair complexion, round face, very stout make, 5 feet 8 or 9 inches high, about 22 years of age, fair hair ; supposed to be wearing the stolen clothes, as he left his own old ones behind him; is a labourer. ( 5463 c.— 82308.) i* Cavan. , Description of OWEN CUSSACK, native of Lisnananagh, who stands charged with having, on the 15th inst., in tho barony of Upper Loughtee, parish ot Urney, endangered the life of one Patrick King, by stabbing him several times on the head and body with a krdle :— Has a small daik moustache, straight i, durk complexion, thin face, very slight mase, 5 \ 1 inches high, about 21 years ot age, dark hair ; f a hard black hat, a dark tweed coat, trowsers, vest; is a labourer. Description of PETER MURRIN, native place unknown, who stands charged with having, on the 22nd October, 1890, in the barony of Tulla Lower, parish of Ogonnelloe, stolen a- mare, the property of Messrs, Bailey and Bostock, menagerie proprietors, which be afterwards sold:— Speaks with an English accent, blue eyes, ordinary nose, dark complexion, round face, medium make, 5 fee^ 3 or 4 inches high, about 30 years of age, dark hair; wore a shabby tweed coat, trowfers, and vest; is a » tableitot_ The mare has been reco- urco. Killaloe, 29th October, 1890. ( 568S Cork. Description of MICHAEL GOGG GOGGIN, natives rf Ballinagree, and NEILL, native of Rahalisk, county Cork who' charged with ha vine, on the 5th November, 1890, in the barony of East Muskerry, parish of Donoughmore, seriously assaulted one William R. Hounihan, of Derry, county Cork:— 1. High cheek bones, sharp chin, awkward gait, no beard or whiskers, gray eyes, regular nose, fair com- plexion, thin face, medium make, 5 feet 9 inches high, about 20 years of age, black hair; wore a round soft hat, gray tweed coat, trowsers, and vest; is a labourer. 2. Shaves all his face except iroustache which is black, dark eyes, regular nose, dark complexion, rcund face, stout make, 5 feet 8 inches high, about 24 years of age, black hair; wore a hard hat, gray coat, dark trowsers and vest; is a labourer. 3. No beard or whiskers, dark eyes, regular nose, dark complexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 20 years of age, brown hair; wore a cap, dark coat, gray trowsars and vest; is a labourer. JOHN LOONEY ( deserting children), described in issue of 7th November, has not been arrested. 15th September, 1890. ( 4775 c.— 81104.) Down. Description of SAMUEL MATHEWS ( mother's surname Rowan), native of Bromara, who stands charged with having, on tte night of 5th or morning of the 6th November, 1890, in. the barony of Lower Iveagh ( lower half), parish of Dromara, burglariously entered the licensed premiees of Bridget M'Kinney, of Dromara, and stolen therefrom a puree containing £ 2 and thirieen bottles of braudy:— Turcs in bis toes when walking, smart appearance, largo mouth, to beard, whiskers, or moustache, gray eyes, regular nose, fresh conplexion, regular face, medium make, 5 feet 11 inct es high, ahotft 22 years of age, dark hair; wore a round fcard hat, dark jacket- coat, gray tweed trowsers, and dark vest; is a labourer, and in the militia. Description of MAN unknown, who stands charged with having, on the 27th day of Nov- ember, 1890, in the barony of Coolock, parish of Clontarf, attempted to obtain money by falsely reprefenting, at the public- house of John Clinton, Clontarf, that he had, about a fortnight previously, purchased some drink there, and had not time to wait for change:— Speaks quickly and has good address, brown eyes, regular nose, fair complexion, oval face, sfout make, 5 feet 6 or 7 inches high, about 25 years ' brown hair; wore a dark brown jerry hat, **""—* kite a rots black short coat, i, and black vest; states he wes a porter at a library in Dublin, district Inspector, Clontarf. imber, 1890. Galway. * Description of WILLIAM COLLINS, native of Clonbeggeen, county Galway, who stands charged with having, on the 23rd November, 1890, in the bsrony of Clare, parish of Claregalway, seriously assaulted William Shaughnessy, by stabbing him with a penknife, thereby placing his life in danger:— Gray eyes, Jong nose, fresh complexion, thin face, slight make, 5 feet inches high, about 28 years of age, brown hair; wore a brown hat, frieze coat, corduroy trowsers, and dark vest; is a very small farmer. Inscription of - JOHN SHANNAHAN, rative place unknown, who stands charged with having, ou the 11th day of November, I8MO, in the barony of Gowran, parish of St. John's, stolen a bullock, three years old, and value £ 12, the property ot' Michael Lynn, of Lower Grange:— Walks us if foot sore, regular nose, I'ark complexion, high cheek bones, medium maie, 5 feot 8 inches high, about 45. or 50 yenrs of age, dark hair; shaved face, black moustache turning gray ; wore a round hard hat, short dark tweed coat, and white muffler with spots; is a cattle drover. Description of JOHN FITZPATRICK, native of Ballitore, who stands chaged with haying, on the 29th November, 1890, at Croghin Demesne, in the barony of Lower Philipstown, parish of Ballyburley, stolen three Bank of Ireland jp. l notes and a deposit receipt on tho Ulster Bank for £ S, from James M'Cabe, of Croghan Demesne, with whom Le waar- living as a fur - t servant:— A good looking boy, blue or gray eyes, slightly cocked nose, fair com- plexion, stout make, 5 feet 4 innhea high, about 15 or 16 years of uge; woro a tweed cap, tweed coat, molenki. 1 trowsers, tweed vest and Blucher boots,; is a farm labourer. Lately uncharged from the Philipstown Reformatory, where ho had been for fivo year?. The Sargeant at Croghanhill holds Warrant for his arrest. x Edenderry, 3rd Dec., 189<>. ( 6348 c.— 83971 ) Monaghan, Description of FRANCIS FINNEGAN ( mother's surname M'Mahon), native of Cormoy, who stands charged with haviog, on the 4th November, in the barony of Dartree, parish of Killeevan, threatened to murder William Little, of Listellan, and others and to destroy certain houses with dynamite;— Square shoulders, slightly freckled face, good address, wears ull his beard which is clipped short, gray eyes, regular nose, fair complexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 6 or 7 inc hes high, about 40 or 45 years of age, brown hair turning gray'; wore a black coat, gray twead trowsers and vest; is n carpenter, generally works about timber yards. Description of PATRICK HOGAN, native of Ballykeveen, who stands charged with having, on tho 15th August, 1890, at Toem, in the barony of Kil namanagh Upper, parish of Toorn, unlawfully stabbed one Edmond Noonan in the breast with a knife, thereby placing his life in danger:— Gray eyes, rather cocked nose, pa'o complexion, thin face, smart make, 5 feat 6 inches high, about 20 years of ago, fair hair; wore a gray suit of cloths a; ia a labourer. Dundrum, 16th August, 1890. ( 4170 80115.) Particulars relative to Convict PATRICK O'BRIEN, c 263, convicted at Clonmel Assizes, county Tipperary, on 19th July, 1888, Cor the larceny of a pair of blankets, and sentenced to 5 years' penal servitude:—' 23 years of age on conviction, single; is a labourer; bora at Clonmel, where he resided before conviction, and where his friends reside:— Dark brown hair, hazel eyes, dark brown eyebrows, medium nose, madium mouth, sallow . comploxion, oval viaage, proportionate make, 5 feet 5^ inches high, cut mark left side of head and between left thumb and forefinger, burn mark, on left knee and shin. Thia man was released from Mountjoy Prison dn 20th December 1889, and went to reaule at Clon- mel. He failed to report himself to the R. I. C, there On the 2nd in3t,, ho ia suspected .. of having commit tod larceny and his present whereabouts is unknown. Lu the event of his arrest he should be dealt with under section 5 of 34 and 35 Vic., cap. 112. ( 331 H. c.) JOHN LYNCH ( sheep stealing), described in issue of 3? J^. cto: or, not arrested. Description of MAURICE WOLFE, native of Russia, who stands charged - vith having, on the Snd October, 1890, at Drogheda, in tho barony of Drogheda, pariah of St. Peter's, unlawfully stolen, taken, and- carried away the following articles of wearing apparel, the property of one David Brudno, viz.;— One doublo- breasted brown coat, value £ 1 6d,; a single vest, aamo mute rial; a boy'a dark gray overcoat, value 7s. G< 1.; a blue pilot overcoat, vain » I8j.; a dark gray sack coat, value of. ; a hard round hat, maker's name " Robinson, Drogheda"; and sovoral other articles of wearing apparel:— Black eyes, regular nose, sallow complexion, medium make, 5 feet 5 inches high, about 21 years of age, block early hair; wore a black felt hat, dark coat, gray tweod trowsora and veat, Btrong laced boots with nails, may be wearing some of the stolon articles; is a pedlar. Has friouda residing in Jewish Synagogue, Lennox- street, Dublin. Warrant for his arrest is in hands of D. I. at Drogheda. Drogheda, 5th October, 1890. ( 5146 c.— 18781.) Mayo, Description of TIMOTHY FREEMAN, native of Derrycastle, wfco is of weak intellect, and missing from hia home, at Derrycastle, in the barony of Costelloe, parish of Aughamore:— Brown eyes, long thin drooped nose, sallow complexion, thin face, worn appearance, medium make, 5 feet 2 inches high, abcut 35 years of age, short back, black hair, thin beard; wore a one- peak brown tweed cap, velvet coat, corduroy trowsers, black tweed veat, and clogs; is a labourer. PATRICK SHARKEY ( rape), described in Hue- and- CVy of 13th May, not arrested. ( 517 0.- 73739.) Westmeath. Description of PATRICK STEADMAN, native of Tyrrellapass, who standa charged with having, on the 23rd day of March, 1890, in th# barony of Far- tullagh, parish of Newtown, unlawfully and carnally known Sarah M'Giff, a child under 13 yeara of age:— Active appearance, gray eyes, regular nose, fair com-; ploexion, regular face, slight mako, 5 feet 8 inches high, about 19> year< o£ age, light brown hair; w*> ro around hard hat and light tweed suit of clothes. Description of HENRY JOHNSTON, native of county Wexford ( supposed New Ross), who stands charged with having, on the 2nd day of December, 1890", in the barony of Newcastle, parish of Kilcommon, stolen five bags of oats, the property of Margaret Jones, of Bohana :— Wants an upper front tooth, mirk of boil on left cheek near ear, dark eyes, regular nose, palo complexion, round face, medium make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 27 years of age; wore an old gray tweed coat, trowssrs, and vest, all much worn; ia a tramping labourer. Description of PATRICK KERRIGAN, alias CONNOR or COMBER, native of Dumana, county Galway, who standa charged with having, cn the 14th July, 1890, in the barony of Upper Talbotatown, pariah of Baltinglass, committed perjury:— Gray eyea, long nose, sallow c ' mplexion, long face, medium make, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 60 years of age, black hair turning gray; wore a dark hard hat, dark coat, trow sera, and vest; ia a horse and cattle dealer. Speaks with a Galway accent; deals in Connemara ponies; ia known to tho Police iu Kildare, Carlow, Meath, Tyrone, Wexford, and Roscommon, where he haa prosecuted partiea for larceny from the porson. Description of LAWRENCE MOONEY, native of Dublin, who stands charged with having, on the 14th October, 1890, in the barony of Arklow, parish of Kilpoole, made his escape from Wicklow Gaol, where he had baen confined on remand charged with larceny of money:— Blue eyes, long nose, fresh com- plexion, small thin face, slight make, 5 fe 3| Itches high, about 16 years of age, fair hair ; won a brown hard hat, old gray tweed coat, dark tw. wd trowsers and vest, black tie, and laced boots; is a licenced, car- driver in Dublin. G Division Description of a juvenile offender who abj onded from Gleneree Reformatory School, on 6th December,. JOHN KELLY, 2314, about 19 years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, stout make, fair complexion, brown hair, blue eyes, long and straight nose, ordinary mouth, long and good- looi ing viaage; formerly belonged to Chapter- place, Dublin 5 cut marks over right eye and on left knee. The School dress, all with Reformatory Stamp, consists of:— Cloth cap ( Scotch make), corduroy jacket, trowsers, and veat, elastic belt, strong and nailed boots, No. 2314. Will probably endeavour to enlist in the army, where there are several companions of his. Expenses will be paid and a reward given for his apprehension.. 6th December, 1890. ( 363 ii. c.) ENGLISH- POLICE. . *' i ' Absconded on the 10th inst., and now charged by Warrant with embezzlement JAMES BURNS MEUDELL, a joiner. by trade, and lately superin- tendent of one of the Corporation Baths in this city. He ia about 40 years of age, 5 feet 9 inches high, stjul baild, rouhd full face, freish complexion, dark brown hair, full whiskers and - motratache; dressed when last scan in a dark ribbed cloth morning coat and veat, dark trowsera, hard black billycock hat, and low shoes. Please cause every possible enquiry to he made at all likely places, and if found, arire* t aud wire to GEORGE WILLIAMS, Chief Superintendent. Liverpool, 21st October, 1890. ( 353 a, c.) Lincolnshire. Deacription of DAVID SMITH ( supposed false) who stands charged on Warrant with having, on the Slat day of September, J890, in • the pariah of Luddington, feloniously aet fire to 8 wheat stacks, 2 oat stacks, 1 hay stack, and 2 straw stacks, the property of Thomas Bladworth:— From 21 to 24 years of age, 5 feet 1 or 2 inches high, fair complexion, blue eye-, light brown hair cat short, very slight light moustache, no whiskers, slim build. Dressed in brown check cloth coat, dark cloth trowsers and veat, white neckerchief, light rough cloth cap, peak of same materiel, and light lace boots. May bo gathering iags and bones, rather fond of singing in public houses, likely to be found in low beer or lodging houses. Description of BENJAMIN HIGGS, alias TED HIGGS, native of Kensworth, resided at Hove, wanted on Warrant for larceny at Hove, on the 31st October, 1890:— 26 years of age, about 5 feet 3 inches high, brown hair, gray eyes, sharp thin nose, sallow- co.-' plexion, very slight figure, long droop- ing moustache, walks upright and quickly; dressed in black Oxford hat, black dust coat, brown vest, gray striped trowsers, button boots 5 is a butcher. Was apprenticed at Ealing, and may be found in Smithflold Market. Information to MAJOR TeeVAN, Chief Constable of Hove. Chief Constable's Office, Hove, 5th November, 1890. ( 357 H. C.) Westmoreland. Particulars of HOUGHTON PARKINSON, whose apprehension is sought for embezzlement, native of Dewsbury, 30 years of ago, 5 feet 4 inches high, dark complexion, dark brown hair, dark beard and moustache,- walks lame and carries a stick in his right hand; by trade a painter, but has been employed as a painter's clerk; mixture suit, and black billy- cock hat. EMBEZZLEMENT OF £ 200. Wanted here on a Sheriff's Warrant, for having, betweon 17th May last and 17th inst., embozzled the above sum, the property of Heather Bell Lodge of the British Order of Free Gardeners, for whom he acted as treasurer, JAMES REID:— A machinist, 36 yoars of a 40, 5 feet 6 niches high, slender build, brown hair, slight broWn . moustache, and small imperial, • otherwise cleaq shaved, very near sighted, email feet, onp tooth out of u iper jaw in front; generally dressed in a dark cord cloth suit, dark broad tie with red Spots through it, round felt hat, and Lorne shoes ; is married, and resided at 14, Marquis- street, Bridgeton, Glasgow. Absconded on 18th inst, Please cause immediate search and inquiry to be ' made for tho accused at all likely place.*, and should he be got, arrest, and wire J..
