SA11 Notioes intended for Insertion in the Hue- and- Orr are to be transmitted under cover, addressed to the Inspector- General, Royal Irish Constabulary, Cattle, authenticated by a Separate Communication. No Description can be inserted unless an Information shall have been Sworn j but it is not necessary to forward the Informations to the Inspector- General. Notioes respecting all Felonies and such Misdemeanours as are of an aggravated nature will be inserted. All Descriptions of persons whose apprehension is sought on a charge of Misdemeanour should be accompanied by a statement that a Warrant has been issued, and by the name of the person in whose hands it is. But the Constabulary should remember that they cannot arrest a person charged with an offence of this mature unless they have the Warrant in their possession when makisg the arrest. %* Should irregularities arise in the delivery of the Hue- and- Cry, it will be necessary to forward one of the covers, or give the number it bears, as without this Information the mistake cannot be rectified. Prison and Police Authorities are particularly requested to be good enough to inform the Inspector- General, Royal Irish Constabulary, Dublin CastL", of the abolition of Gaols, Stations, cfec., and of any circumstances rendering the supply of the " Hue- and- Cry" no longer necessary. Antrim, Description of a MAN, name unknown, native of Poland, Russia, who stands charged with having, on die night of 12th or morning of 13th October, lfe90, in tho bsrony of Lower Belfast, parish of Temple- patrick, stolen from the dwelling- house of Thomas Hugh Barron, of Craigarogan, the following articles, viz.:— A silver Geneva wateb, No. 85, 607 or 88,608; steel chain with pendant attached, red on one side, blue on otber, a crack on red side; a black serge coat and vc t, trimmed with braid, nearly new; a pair of strong laced boots, newly mended, with patches on soles at toes; a eordnroy parse containing 1 Id.:— Turn in his eyes, turns out his toes when walking, no hair on face except small light moustache, gjay eyes, regular nose, lair complexion, round face, very stoat make, 5 feet 8 or 9 inches hi- 6, about 22 years of age, fair hair ; supposed to be wearing tbe stolen clothes, as he left his own old ones behind him; is a labourer, A Warrant has been issued for his arrest. Cavan, Description of OWEN CUSSACK, native of Lisnananagh, who stands charged with having, on the lfith iiat., in the barony of Upper Loughtee, parish of Urney, endangered the life of one Patrick King, by stabbing him several times on the head and body with a knife Hon a smftll dark moustache, straight ndsc, durk complexion, ihin fade, very slight make, 6 feet 11 inches high, ilont 21 years of age, dark hair; wore a hard black hat, a dark tweed coat, trow sera, and vest; is » labo rer. Will endeavour to emigrate. Warrant has been mud, aud is in the hands of the District Inspector at Cavan. Cavan, 17th Novamber, 1890. ( 6077— c.) Clare. Description of PETER MURRIN, . native place unknown, who stsnda charged with having, on the, 22od October, 1890, in the barony of Tulla Lower, parish of Ogonnelloe, stolen a mare, the property of Messrs. Bailey and Bostock, menagerie proprietors, which he afterwards sold:— Speaks with an English accent, blue eyes, ordinary nose, dark complexion, round . face, medium make, 5 feet 3 or .4 inches high, about 30 years of age, dark hair; wore a shabby tweed coat, trowsers, and vest; is a stable help. Description of MICHAEL GOGGIN and JAMES GOGGIN, natives cf Ballinagree and JEREMIAH NEILL. native ov Rahalisk, county Cork, who stand charged with having, on the 5th November, 1890, in the barony of East Muskerry, parish of Donoughmore, seriously assaulted one William R. Hounihan, of Derry, county Cork:— 1. High cheek bones, sharp chin, awkward gaif, no beard or whiskers, gray eyes, regul ir nose, fair com- plexion, thin face, medium make, 5 feet 9 inches high, about 20 years of age, black hair; wore a round soft hat, gray tweed coat, trowsers, and vest; is a labourer. 2. Shaves all bis face except moustache which is black, dark eyes, regular nose, dark complexion, rcund face, stont ira'ie, 5 leet 8 inches high, about 24 years of age, black hair; wore a hard hat, gray coat, dark trowsers and vest; is a labourer. 3. No beard or whiskers, dark eyes, regular nose, dark complexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 20 years of age, brown hair; wore a < ap, dark coat, gray trowsers and vest; is a labourer. Description of SAMUEL MATHEWS ( mother's surname Rowan), natiye of dromara, who stands charged v ith having, c. n tbe night of 5th or morning of the 6th november, 1890, in the barony of Lower Iveng ' ( lower half}', pariah of Dromara, burglariously entered the licensed premises ol Bridget M'Kinney, of Dromara, and " stolen there from a purse containing £ 2 and thirteen bottles of brandy:— Turcs in his toes wi on walking, smart apoearaece, largo n » outh, no beard, whiskerts, or menstache, gray eyes, regular nose, fresh complexion, regulur face, medium make, 5 leet 11 inc es high, a out 22 yoais of age, dark hair; - wore a round bard hat, dark jacket- coat, gray tweed trow.^ ers, amrt dark vest; is a labourer, and in the militia. WILLIAM M'GREGORY ( burglary described in issue of 7th November, not arrested. 24th September, 1890. ( 4966 c— 81457.) Dublin. Description of JOHN PURCELL, native of Carlow, who stands charged with having, on the 2_ lst November, 1890, in tbe barony of Balrothery, parish of Naul, feloniously killed one Bridget Smyth, at Ifaul, in the county of Dublin:— Wants some front teeth, has a very ' slight limp of the left leg from a sore heel, active appearance, dark eyes, regular nose, dark sallow complexion, worn haggard face, medium make, 5 feet 9 inches high, about 50 years of age, dark hair turning gray; wore a dark tweed coat, light striped twee J trowsers, and black vest; is a tramping blacksmith. Description of WILLIAM COLLINS, native of Clonbeggeen, county Galway, who sttnds charged with having, on the 23rd November, 1890, in the barony of Clare, parish of Claregalway, seriously assaulted William Shaughnessy, by stabbing him with a penknife, thereby placing his life in danger:— Gray eyes, long nose, fresh complexion, thin fa pa, slight make, 5 feet inches high, about 28 years of age, brown h « irj wore a brown hat; iri ae coat, corduroy trow3ers and dark vest; is a very small farmer. NERY ( mother's surname CantWell), native of Straileek, county Kildare, and PATRICK LAWLESS, rative of Dublin, who stand charged with having, on the 23rd October, 18P0, at Loughlingtown, in the barony of South Salt, parish of Donaghcomper, assaulted Patrick Malony, of Allen- wood, and robbed him of 14*. 6d. on the highway:— 1. Brown eyes, regular nose, swarthy complexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 8 inohes high, about 23. years of age, black hair; wore a black cap, dart: coat, white moleskin trowsers, and dark vest, is a boatman. 2. Gray eyes, regular nose, fair complexion, thin sharp face, slight make, 5 feet 7 inches i igh, about 23 years of age, fair hair ; wore asoft black Jim Crow bat, dark coat, dark tweed trowsers and vest, is a boatman. Description of RICHARD BARRY and JOHN KIRBY, natives of Ballinacrunny, who stand charged with having, on the night of 18th or morning of 19th November, 1890, in the barony of Iverk, parish ol Whitechurch, stolen three heifers, tho property of Thomas Robertson:— 1. Down looking, bronze complexion, thin face, medium make, 6 feet high, about 21 years of age, brown hair; wore a black round coat, light trowsers, and vest; is a labourer. 2. Thin face, slight make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 40 years of age; is a labourer. Callan, 25th November, 1890. ( 83709). Description of JOHN SHANNAHAN, native place unknown, wlo stands charged with having, on the 11th day of November, 1890, in the barony of GowTan, parish of St, John's, stolen a bullock, three years old, and value £ 12, the property of Michael Lyng, ol Lower Grange:— Vt alks as if foot sore, regular nose, (' ark complexion, high cbe « b bones, medium male, 5 feet 8 inches high, about 45 or 50 years of age, dark hair; shaved face, black moustache turning gray; wore a round hard hat, short dark tweed cojt, and white muffler with spots; is a cattle drover. " Warrant in hands ot District Inspector, Kilkenny. Kilkenny, 13th November, 1890. ( 6037 o.— 83295). King's. Description of the undernamed young offender, who, on the evening of the 14th November, 1890, absconded from the Philipstown Reformatory School, at King's County, by leaving his employment at Killongbey:— JAMES GINN, No. 1,103, 18 or 19 years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, heavy stoat make, fresh com- plexion, brown hair, gray eyes, broad nose, regular mouth, full visage, scar on left brow, forefinger of left hand crooked, cut- scar on ball of left thumb; dressed in a soft felt hat, navy- blue serge jacket, moleskin trowsers, and Blucher boots. Formerly belonged to Londonderry. Would very likely try to enlist. The Manager of the Reformatory will defray the expenses of his conveyance, if arrested, to the nearert Justice, on remand, and will reward the person Who may capture him with £). ( 360 n. c.) Description of JOHN RYAN, alias SAMMON, native of Limerick City, who stands charged with having, on the 28th of June, 1890, in the barony of Clonlisk, parish of Kilmurry Ely, stolen a saddle and bridle:— Slightly pockpitted, brown eyes, regular nose, fresh complexion, oval face, proportionate n^ kc, 5 feet 3^ inches high, about 47 years of age, black hair; wore a brown Jerry hat turning red from age, old black frock coat, and corduroy trowsers; is a labourer. Description of TWO MEN, names unknown, who stand charged with having, on the night of 19th Sep- tember, 1890, about 9£ p. m., in the barony of Bally- cowan, parish of Durrow, entered the house of Peter Geoghegan, of Ballinamona, and robbed him of the sum of £ 25, consisting of one ten pound and three five pound notes, numbers unknown :— 1. Shaved face, sandy moustache, 5 feet 9 or 10 inches high, about 24 years of age; wore a black hat and short dark coat. 2. Fair complexion, shaved face, 5 feet 8 or 9 inchos high, about years of age; wore a black hat and dark tweed * uit. Louth, Description of MAURICE WOLFE, native of Russia, who stands charged with having, on the 2nd October, 1890, at. Drogheda, in the barony ol Drogheda, parish of St Peter's, unlawfully stolen, taken, and carried away tie following articles oi wearing apparel, the property of one David Brudno, viz.;— One double- breasted brown coat, value £ 1 2a. 6d.; a single vest, same material; a boy's dark gray overcoat, value 7a. 6d.; a blue pilot overcoat, value 18s.; a dtuk gray tack coat, value 8*.; a hard round hat, maker's name " Robinson, Drogheda."; and several other articles of wearing apparel:— Black eyes, regular nose, sallow complexion, medium make, 5 leet 5 inches high, about 21 years of age,- black early hair; wore a black felt hat, dark coat, uray tweed trowsers and vest, strong laced boots with nails, may be wearing some of the stolen articles; is a pedlar. Has friends residing in Jewish Synagogue, Lennox- street, Dublin. Warrant for his arrest is in hands of D. I. at Drogheda. ' Drogheda, 5th October, 1890. ( 5146 a— 18781.) Mayo. Description of TIMOTHY FREEMAN, native of Derrycastle, who is of weak intellect, and missing from his home, at Derry castle, in tho barony of Costelloe, parish of Aughamore:— Brown eyes, long thin drooped now, sallow complexion, thin fooe, worn appearance, medium make, 5 feet 2 inches high, about 35 years of age, short back, black hair, thin beard; wore a one- peak brown tweed cap, velvet coat, corduroy trowsora, black tweed vest, and clogs; is a labonrer. Description of FRANCIS FINNEGAN ( mother's surname M'Mahon), native of Cormoy, who stands charged with having, on the 4th November, in the barony of Dartree parish of Killeevan, threatened to murder William Little, of Listellan, and others, and to destroy certain houses with dynamite:— Square shoulders, slightly freckled false, good address, wears ill his beard which is clipped short, gray eyes, regular pose, lair complexion, round face, stout make, 6 feet 6 or 7 inches high, about 40 or 45 years of age, brown hair turning gray; wore a black coat, gr « y twesd trowsers and vest; is a carpenter, generally works about timber yards. A Warrant, is in the hands of the Constabulary, at Clones. Clones, 13th November, 1890. ( 5953 C.— 83255.) Tipperary. Description of PATRICK HOGAN, native of Ballykeveen, who stands charged with having, on the 15th August, 1890, at Toem in the barony of Kil- namanagh Upper, parish of Toem, unlawfully stabbed one Edmond Noonan in the breast with a knife, thereby placing his life in danger:— Gray eyes, rather oocked nose, pale complexion, thin face, smart make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 20 years of age, fair hair ; wore a gray suit of clothes; is a labourer. Dundrum, 16th August, 1890. ( 4170 a— 80115.) Particulars relative to Convict PATRICK O'BRIEN, c 263, convicted at Clonmel Assizes, county Tipperary, on 19th July, 1888, for the larceny of a pair of blankets, and sentenced to 5 years' penal servitude:— years of age on conviction, single; is a labourer; born at Clonmel, where he resided before conviction, and where his friends reside:— Dark brown hair, hazel eyes, dark brown eyebrows, medium nose, medium mouth, sallow complexion, oval visage, proportionate make, 5 feet inches high, cat mark left side of head and between lefl thumb and forefinger, burn mark on left knee and shin. This man was released from Mountjoy Prison on 20th December, 1889, and went to reside at Clon- mel. He failed to report himself to the R. I. C. the e on the 2nd inst., he is snspected of having committed larceny and his present whereabouts is unknown. In the event of his errant he should be dealt with under section 5 of 34 and 35 Vic., cap. 118. ( 331 H. C.) JOHN LYNCH ( sheep stealing), described in issue of 3rd October, not arrested. ( 491.3 c.— 80384.) PATRICK SHARKEY ( rape), described in Hu » a'V. - Cry of 13th MBV, not arrested. ( 517 c.—. 73739.1 Wicklow. ' Description of PATRICK KERRIGAN, alias CONNOR or COMBER, native of Dumana, county Galway, who stands charged with having, on the 14th July, 18H0, in the barony of Upper Talbotstown, parish of Baltinglass, committed perjury:— Gray eyes, long nose, sallow complexion, 1 > ng face, medium make, 6 feet 7 inches high, about 60 years of age, Mask hair turning gray ; wore a dark hard hat, dark coat, trowsers, and - vest; is a horcy and cattle dealer. Speaks with a Galway ftccnt; deals in Conne ara ponies; is known to tha Police ia Kildare, Carl jif, Meath, Tyrone, Wexford, and Roscommon, whera he has prosecuted parties for larceny fro a the person. Description of LAWRENCE MOOSEY, native of Dublin, who stands charged with having, on the 14th October, 1890,. in the barony of Ark low, parish of Kilpoola, made his escape from Wicklow Gaol, where he had been confined on remand charged with larceny of money:— Blue eyes, long, cose, fresh com- plexion, small thin face, slight make, 5 fact 3J inches high, about 16 years of age, fair hair ; worj a brown hard hat, old gray twoed coat, dark twead trowsers and vest, black tie, and laced boots; is a licenced car- driver in Pablin. Absconded on the 10th inst., anl n:> w charged by Warrant with embezzlement, JAM S BURNS ME UDELL, a joiner by trade, and lately superin- tendent of one of the Corporation Baths in this city. He is about 40 years of age, 5 feet 9 inches high, stmt build, round full face, fresh complexion, dark brown hair, full whiskers and moustache; dressed when last seen in a dark ribbed cloth morning coat and vest, dark trowsers, hard black billycock hat, and low shoes. Please cause every possible enquiry to be made at all likely pl* ces, and if found, arre& t and wire to GEORGE WLLLIAMS, Chief Superintendent. Liverpool, 21st October, 1890. ( 353 H. C.) Lincolnshire. Description of DAVID SMITH ( supposed false) who stands charged on Warrant with having, on the 81st day of September, I" 890, in the parish of Luddington, feloniously set fire to 3 wheat stacks, 2 oat stacks, 1> hay stack, and 2 straw stacks, the property of Thomas Blad worth From 21 to 24 years of age, 5 feet 1 or 2 inches high, fair complexion, blue oyer, light brown hair cat short, very slight light moustache, no whiskers, slim build. Dressed in brown check cloth ooat, dark cloth trowsers and vest, white neckerchief, light rough cloth cap, peak of same material, and light lace boots. May be gathering rags and bones, rather fond of singing in public bouses, likely to be found in low b: er or lodging houses. It is particularly requested that inquiry may be made, and information given promptly to JOHN TAVLOB., Superintendent. Epworth Station, 27th October, 1890. ( 855 H. O.) Norfolk* hire. Description of BENJAMIN HIGGS, alias TED HIGGS, native of Kensworth, resided at Hove, wanted on Warrant for larceny at Hove, on the 31st Odtober, 189026 ytars of age, about 5 feet 3 inches high, brown hair, gray eyes, sharp thin nose, sallow complexion, very slight figure, long droop- ing, moastache, walks upright and quickly; dressed in black Oxford hat, black dust coat, brown vest, gray striped trowsers, button boots; is a butcher. Was apprenticed at Ealing, and may be found in Smithfield Market. Information to MAJOR TEEVAN, Chief Constable of Hove. Chief Constable's Office, Hove, 5th November, 1890. ( 357 H. C.) Westmoreland. Particulars of HOUGHTON PARKINSON, whoso apprehension is sought for embezzlement, native of Dewsbury, 30 years of ago, 5 feet 4 inches high, dark complexion, dark blown hair, dark beard and moustache, walks lame and carri is a stick in his right hand; by trade a painter, but has heen employed as a painter's clerk; mixture suit, and hlack billy- cock li t, Warrant issued. L. 1036:— 42 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches in height, dark complexion, slight black moustache and imperial, dark brown hair, hazel eyes; marks, Bear right eyebrow, mole forehead and both cheeks, flag, stars and stripes, right forearm, gun below nipples, T. M. and 4 blue marks centre chest, flag at d E. S. front and E. S. back left forearm, two bluo dots between thumb and finger left hand; dress, black felt hat, dark clothing ( coat with pockets at sidosl, well worn, Lome shoes. Sentenced for theft at Jedburgh, 26th March, 1877, to 18 B onths j at Edinburgh, 17th November, 1879, to 5 years, aid at Edinburgh, 12th January, 1885, to 7 years' p* nnl s; rvitude. Was discharged on Licence from H. M. Prison, Portland, on 4th July, 1890. Is a mu vcian, has in his possession a clarionet, given him in loan to play on streets, which he may dispose of and endeavour to obtain other instruments on loan. Associates with musicians and colliers, and puts up at common lodging houses, may seek employ- ment at theatres, music hall, & c. Police officers are requested to make particular search and inquiry for the above described person, and should l. o be traced at apprehended communicate with WM. M'KAY, Superintendent. Description of plate, the property of John Curtis, which was stolen from his residence, Oakley, near Clontarf, parish of Clontarf, barony of Coolock, on the 9th day of September, 1890:— Two large sugar bowls, one large and one small cream ewer, one large soup ladle, one fish slice with fish engraved thereon. C. R.," 1 silver sugar tongs, 5 forks, 2 tablespoons, 5 dessertspoons, all electroplated ; a lady's silver Geneva watch, small Crack on dial at the figure VI., M'Cutcbeon, Downpatrick, maker. Description of a silver crass, the property of the Committee of the Roman Catholic Chapel of Melmount, which was stolen from the Chapel of Mehnonnt, near Strabane, parish of Urney, barony of Lower Strabane, on the night of 17th or morning of 18th August, 1890:— Silver cross, about 7 inches long and 3 inches wide, used in connection with a remonstrance; value for about £ 2. John Bennett, rector, which were stolen out of the Protestant Church at Churchlands, parish of Kilcommon, barony of Ballinacor South, between the evening of the 5th and the evening of the 11th of October, 1890:— A small wooden box containing a silver cup, with the inscription " Kiloommon Church, I.
