Notices respecting all Felonies and such Misdemeanours as are of an aggravated nature will be inserted. All Description* of persons whose apprehension is sought on a charge of Misdemeanour should be accompanied by a statement that a Warrant has been issued, • ad by the name of the person in whose hands it is. But the Constabulary should remember that they cannot arrest a person charged with an offence of this nature unless they have the Warrant in their possession when making the arrest. Should irregularities arise in the delivery of the Hue^ nd- Cry, it will be necessary to forward one of the oovers, or give the number it bears, as without this Information the mistake cannot be rectified. Prison and Police Authorities are particularly requested to be good enough to inform the Inspector- General, Royal Irish Constabulary, Dublin Castl « , of the abolition of Gaols, Stations, < fco., and of any circumstances rendering the supply of the " Hue- and- Cry " no longer neoessary. Description of a MAN, name unknown, native of Poland, Russia, who stands charged with having, on the nigbt of 12th or morning of 13th October, 1690, in the barony of Lower Belfast, parish of Temple- S, trick, stolen from the dwelling- house of Thomas hugh Barron, of Craiyarogan, the following articles, via.:— A silver Geneva watch, No. 85, 607 or 85,608 j steel chain with pendant attached, red on one side, blue on other, a crack on red side; a black serge coat and vest, trimme< J with braid, nearly new, a pair of strong laced boots, newly mended, with patches on soles at toes; a corduroy purse containing llrf. s— Turn in his eyes, turns out his toes when walking, no hair on face except small light moustache, gray eyes, regular nose, fair complexion, round lace, very stout make, 5 feet 8 or 9 inches high, about 22 years of age, fur hair; supposed to be wearing the stolen clothes, as he left his own old ones behind him; is a labourer, A Warrant has been issued for his arrest. Description of OWEN CUSSACK, native of Lisnananagh, who stands charged with having, on the 15th inst., in the barony of Upper Loughtee, parish of Urney, endangered the life of one Patrick King, by stabbing him several times on the head and body with a knife:— Has a small dark moustache, straight nose, dark complexion, thin face, very slight make, 5 feet 11 inches high, abont 21 years of age, dark hair ; » hard black hat, a dark tweed coat, trowsers, vest; is a labourer. Will endeavour to emigrate. Warrant has been issuad, and is in the hands of the " trict Inspector at Cavan. Cavan, 17th November, 1890. ( 6077— c.) Clare. Description of PETER MURRIN, native place unknown, who stands charged with having, on the 22id October, 1890, in the barony of Tulla Lower, parish of Ogonnelloe, stole i a mare, the proparty of Messrs, Bailey arid Bostock, menagerie proprietors, which he afterwards sold j— Speaks with an English accent, blue eyes, ordinary nose, dark complexion, round face, medium make, o feet 8 or 4 inches high, about 30 years of aga, dark hair; wore a shabby tweed ooat, trowsera, and vest; is a stable help. The mare has been recoi sred. Killaloe, 29th October, 1890. ( 5639 82705.) Cork. Description of MICHAEL GOGGIN and JAMES GOGGIN, natives cf Balliaagree, and JEREMIAH NEILL, native of Rahalisk, county Cork, who stand charged with havinsr, on the 5th November, 1890, in the barony of East Muskerry, parish of Donoughmore, seriously assaulted one william B. Hounihan, of Derry, county Cork:— 1: High cheek bones, sharp chin, awkward gait, no beard or whiskers, gray eyes, regular nose, fair com- plexion, thin face, medium make, 5 feet 9 inches high, about 20 years of age, black hair: wore a round soft hat, gray tweed coat, trowsers, and vest; is a labourer. 2. Shaves all his face except moustache which is black, dark eyes, regular nose, dark complexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 8 inches high, about 24 years of age, black hair; wore a hard hat, gray coat, dark trowsers and vest; is a labourer. 3. No beard or whiskers, dark eyes, regular nose, dark complexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 20 years ot pge, brown hair; wore a cap, dark coat, gray trowsers and vest; is a labourer. WILLIAM M'GREGORY ( burglary described in issue of 7th November, not arrested. 24th September, 1890. ( 4966 c— 81457.) Dublin. Description of JOHN PURCELL, native of Carlow, who stands charged with having, on the 2lst November. 1890, in the barony of Balrothery, parish of Naul, feloniously killed one Bridget Smyth, at Naul, in the county of Dublin:— Wants some front teeth, has a very slight limp of tbe left leg from a sore heel, active appearance, dark eyes, regular nose, dark sallow complexion, worn haggard face, medium make, 6 feet 9 inches high, about 50 yean of age, dark' hair turning gray; wore a dark tweed coat, light striped tweed trowsers, and black vest; is a tramping blacksmith. • | u Balbriggan, 23rd Nov., 1890. ( 6173 c.— 83571) Galway. Description of THOMAS WALSH and JOHN WALSH ( their mother's surname Prendergast), natives of Bohermore, ce. Galway, who stand charged with having, on the 1st October, 1890, in the barony of Galway, parish of St Nicholas, maliciously injured the walls and roof of a house, and stolen timber there- from:— 1. Tatooed on both arms, hazel eyes, ordinary nose, dark complexion, thin face, slight make, 5 feet inche3 high, about 22 years of age, dark brown hair; wore an old low hat, and common labourer's clothes; is an assistant blacksmith. 9. Three blue dots between thumb and forefinger of left hand, sore- mark on left shin where bone was broken and splinter came out, blue eyes, ordinary nose, fresh complexion, thin face, slight make, 5 feet inches higb, about 19 years of age, dark brown hair; wore an old low hat, and common labourer's clothes; is an assistant blacksmith. These men may be found at iron works or forges, and may not keep together. They were out on bail, but failed to appear at Galway Quarter Sessions to stand their tri it. Warrant for their arrest in haods of the District Inspector, at Galway. Galway, October, 18S0. i5268 o.— 82704.) Kerry. Description of Colour- Sergeant THOMAS C. CONNELL, native of Gosport, Hants, who stands charged with having, on the 4th October, 1890, in the barony of Trughanackmy, parish of Tralee, stolen £ 25, the property of Major Henry Murray, Royal Munster Fusiliers:— Thick lips and a misshapen nose, hazel eyes, fiat nose, fresh complexion, full face, medium make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 27 years of age, fair hair; wore a dark tag coat, bright trowaers, dark vest; is a clerk. Tralee, 5th October, 1890. ( 5182 c— 81841.) Klldare. Description of PATRICK LANNERY ( mother's surname Cantwell), native of Straleek, county Kildare, and PATRICK LAWLESS, native of Dublin, who stand charged with having, on the 23rd October, 1890, at Loughlinstown, in the barony of South Salt, parish of Donaghcomper, assaulted Patrick Malony, of Allen- wood, and robbed him of 14 « . 6d. on the highway :—. 1. Brown eyes, regular nose, swarthy complexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 8 inches high, abont 23 years of age, black hair; wore a black cap, dark coat, white moleskin trowsers, and dark vest, is a boatman. 2. Gray eyes, regular nose, fair complexion, thin sharp face, slight make, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 23 years of age, fair hair ; wore a soft black Jim Crow bat, dsrk coat, dark tweed trowsers and vest, is a boatman. These men may be found at James's- street harbour, Portobello, or with the Grand Canal Com- pany's boats. Naas, 25th Octeber, 1890. ( 5642 c.— 82684.) Description of JoHN SHANNAHAN, rative place unknown, wlo stands ct arged with having, on the 11th day of Novemt er, 1890, in the barony of Gowran, parith of St John's, stolen a bullock, three years old, and value £ 18, the property of Michael Lyng, of Lower Grange:— Walks as if foot sore, regular nose, rark complexion, high cheek bones, medium mate, 5 feet 8 inches Ugh, about 45 or 50 years of age, dark hair; shaved face, black moustache turning gray; wore a ronnd hard hat, short dark tweed coat, ard white muffler with spots ; is a cattle drover. Warrant in hands of District Inspector, Kilkenny. Kilkenny, 13th November, 1890. ( 6037 83295). King's. Description of the undernamed young offender, who, on the evening of the 14th November 189<\ absconded from the Philipstown Reformatory School, st King's County, by leading his employment at Killonghey ;— JAMES GINN, No, 1,' 03, 18 or 19 years of ate, 5 feet 6 inches high, heavy stout make, fresh rom- plexior, brown hair, pray ejes, broad nose, regular mouth full visage, scar on left brow, forefinger of l « ft hand crooked, cut- scar on ball of left thumb; dressed in a soft felt hat navy- blue serge jac' et, moleskin trowsers, and Blucher toot". Formerly belonged to Londonderry. Would very likely try to enlist. The Manager of the Reformatory will defray the expenses o1 his conveyance, if arrested to the nearest Justice, on remand, and will reward the person who may capture him with •£'. ( 360 H. C.) Description of JOHN RYAN, alias SAMMON, native of Limerick City, who stands charged with having, on the 28th of . lune, 1990, in the barony of Clonlisk. parish of Kilmurry Ely, stolen a saddle and bridle:— ' slightly pockpitted brown eyes, regular nose, fresh complexion, ovwl lace, proportionate make, 5 feet 8^ incl. es high, about 47 years of age, black hair; wore a brown jerry hat turning red fiom age old black frock coat, and corduroy trowsers; is a labourer. Warrant has b" tn issued. Shinrone, 31st Oct., 1890. 3261 c 82790. Description of TWO MEN, names unknown, who stand charged with having, on tbe night of 19th Sep- tember, 1890 about 9J p. m, in the barony of Bally- cowan, parish of Durrow, entered tbe house of Peter Geoghegan, of Ballinamona, and robbed him of the sum f f 25. consisting of one ten pound and three five pound notes, numbers unknown:— 1. shaved face, sandy moustache, 5 feet 9 or 10 inches hi^ h, about 24 years of age; wore a black hat and short dark coat. 2. Pair complexion, shaved face, 5 feet 8 or 9 inches high, about 24 years of age; wore a black hat and dark tweed suit. Information sworn, and Warrants are in the hands of the District Inspector at Tullamore. Tullamore, 20th Sept., 1890. ( 4869 c 81279.) Londonderry. Description of MAURICE WOLFE, native of Russia, who stands charged with having, on the 2nd October, 1890, » t, Drogheda, in the barony of Drogheda. parish of St Peter's, unlawfully stolen, taken, and carried away the following articles of woaring apparel, the property of one David Brudno. viz.:— One double- breasted brown coat, valae £[ 2s. 6d.; a single vest, same material; a boy's dark gray overcoat, value 7 « . 6rf.; a blue pilot overcoat, value 1% ; a dark gray sack coat, value 8*.; a hard round hat, maker's name " Robinson, Drogheda"; acd several other articles of wearing apparel:— Black eyes, regalar nose, sallow oomplexion medium make, 5 leet 5 inches high, abjut 21 years of age, black early hair; wore a black felt hat, dark coat, gray tweed trowsers and vest, strong laced boots with nails, may be wearin; some of the Stolen articles; is a pedlar. Has friends residing in Jewish Synagogue, Lennox- street, Dublin. Warrant for his arrest is in bands of D. I. at Drogheda. Drogheda, fith October, 1890. ( 5146 c— 18781.) Mayo. /: Description of TIMOTHY FREEMAN, native of Derrycastle, who is of week intellect, and misxing from his home, a' Derrycastle, in tbe barony ot Costelloq. parish of Aughamore:— Brown eyes, long thin drooped nose, sallow complexion, thin face, worn appearance, mediu' mak « , 5 feet 2. in3he3 high, about 35 year* of age, short back, black hair, thin beard; wore a one- peak brown twei- d cap, velvet coat, coiffuroy trowsern, black tweed vest, and clogs; is a labourer; A Warrant for his arrest is In the hands of the Police. Ballaghaderreen, 1st Oot.. 1890. ( 5109 c.— 81799.) Monaghan, Description of FRANCIS FlNNEGAN ( mother's surname M'Mahon), native of Cormoy, who stands charged with having on the 4th November, in the barony of Dartree, parish of Kileevan, threatened to murder William Little, of Listellan, and others, and te destroy certain houses with dynamite;— Square shoulders, slightly freckled faoe, good address, wears • Jl his beard which is clipped short, gray eyes, regalar nose, fair complexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 6 or 7 inches high, about 40 or 45 years of age, brown hair turning gray; wore a black coat, gray tweed trowsers and vest; is a carpenter, generally works about timber yards. A Warrant is in the " hands of the Constabulary, at Clones. Clones, 18th November, 1890. ( 5953 c— 83255.) Tipperary Description of PATRICK HOGAN, native of Ballykeveen, who stands charged with having, on the 15th August, 1x90, at Toem, in the barony of Kil- namansgh Upper, parish of Toem, unlawfully stabbed one Edmond Noonan in the breast with a knife, thereby placing his life in danger:— Gray eyes, rather cocked nose, pa'e complexion, thin face, smart make, 5 feat 6 inches high, about 20 years of age, fair hair; wore a gray suit ot clothes; is a labourer. Dundrum, 16th August, 1890. ( 4170 a— 80115.) Particulars relative to Convict PATRICK O'BRIEN, c 263, convisted at Clonmel Assizes, connty Tipperary, on 19th July, 1888, for the larceny of a pair of blankets, and sentenced to 5 years' penal servitude :— 26 years of age on conviction, single; is a labourer; born at Clonmel, where he res'ded befor < conviction, and where his friend" reside :— dark bro vn hair, hazel eyes, dark brown eyebrows, medium nose, medium mouth, sallow complexion, oval visage, proportionate make, 5 feet inches high, cut mark left side of head and between left thumb and forefinger, burn mark on left knee and shin. This man was released from Mountjoy Prison on 20th December, 1889, and went to reside at Clon- mel. He failed to report himself to the R. I. C there on the 2nd inst, he is suspected uf u. m^ o- mraittad larceny, and his present whereabouts is unknown. In the event of his arrest he should be dealt with under section 5 of 34 and 35 Vie., cap. 11 ® . ( 331 H. C.) JOHN LYNCH ( sheep stealing), described in issue of 3rd October, not arrested. ALEXANDER HAWTHORNE, alias SAMUEL JAMES NEAL, native of Cookstown, WILLIAM M'KNIGHT, alias CURRY, alias M'WILLIAMS native of Armagh, not arrested; Hue- and- Cry, 28th October, 1890. ( 4213 c.— 80384.) PATRICK SHARKEY ( rape), described in Hue and- Cry of 13th May, not arrested. ( 517 c.— 73739.) Wicklow. Description of PATRICK KERRIGAN, alias CONNOR or COMBER native of Dumana, county Galway, who stands charged with having, on the 14th Juiv, 1890, in the barony of Upper Talbotstown, parish of Baltinglass, committed perjury •— Gray eyes, long nose, sallow complexion. 1 > ng face, medium make, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 60 years of age, bla : k hair turning gray ; wore a dark hard hat dark coat, trowsers, and vest; is a horse and cattle dealer. Speaks with a Galway accnt; deals ii Connemara ponies; is known fo the Police in Kildare, Carlow, Meath, Tyrone, Wexford, and Roscommon, whera he has prosecuted parties for larceny from the person. Warrant for his arrest. Dunlavin, 5th November, 1890. ( 5848. c— 82977). Description of LAWRENCE MOONEY, native of Dublin, who stands ch irged with having, on the 14th October, 1890, in the barony of Arklow, parish of Kilpoole, made his escape from Wicklow Gaol, where he had been confined on remand charged with larceny of money :— Blue eyes, long nose fresh com- plexion. small thin face, slight make, 5 feet inches h gh, ab > ut 16 years of age, lair hair ; wore a brown hird hat, old' gray tweed c at, dark tweed trowsers and vest, black tie, and laced boots; is a li^ enced- car- driver in Dublin. Has frier da in Dublin, Kingstown, and Rathdrum. Information sworn and warrant in hands of District Inspector at Wicklow. Wicklow, 16th Oct., 1890. ( 54,37 c.— 82267.) Absconded on the 10th inst., and now charged by Warrant with embezzlement, JAMeS BURNS MEUDELL, a joiner by trade, and litely superin- tendent of one of the Corporation Baths in this city. He is about 40 years of age, 5 feet 9 inches high, stmt build, round full face, fresh oomplexion, dark brown hair, full whiskers and moustache; dressed when last seen in a dark ribbed cloth morning coat and vest, dark trowsers, hard black billycock hat, and low shoes. Please cause every possible enquiry to be made at all likely pi ces, and if found, arrest and wire to GEORGE WILLIAMS, Chief, Superintendent. Liverpool, 21st October, 1890. ( 353 H. O.) Lincolnshire. Description of DAVID SMITH ( supposed false) who stands charged on Warrant with having, on the 21st day of September, 1890, in the parish of Luddington, feloniously set fire to 8 wheat stacks, 2 oat stacks, I hay stack, and 2 straw stacks, the property of Thomas Bladworth :— From 21 to 24 years of age, 5 feet 1 or 2 inches high, fair complexion, blue eye , light brown hair cut snort, very slight light moustache, no whiskers, slim build. Dressed in brown check cloth coat, dark cloth trowsers and vest, white neckerchief, light rongh cloth cap, peak of same material, and light lace boots. May be gathering rags and bones, rather fond of singing in public houses, likely to be found in low beer or lodging houses. It is particularly requested that inquiry may be made, and information given promptly to JOHN TAYLOR, Superintendent. Epworth Station, 27th October, 1890. ( 355 H. o.) Norfolkshire. Man, giving name of GRANT, described in issue of 21st November, not arrested. ( 344 H. C.) Sussex. Description of BENJAMIN HIGGS, alias TED HIGGS, native of Kensworth, resided at Hove, wanted on Warrant for larceny at Hove, on the 31st October, 1890:— 26 years of age, about 5 feet 3 inches high, brown hair, gray eyes, sharp thin nose, sallow complexion, very slight fignre, long droop- ing moustache, walks upright and quickly; dressed in black Oxford hat, black dust coat, brown vest, gray striped trowsers, button boots; is a butcher. Was apprenticed at Ealing, and may be found in Smith field Market- Information to MAJOR TEEVAN, Chief Constable of Hove. Chief Constable's Office, Hove, 5th November, 18S0. ( 357 H. O.) Westmoreland. SAMUEL JOHNSTON, alias GEORGE GRAHAM ( escaped convict), described in issue of 21st November, not arrested. ( 318 H. C.) Yorkshire. Particulars of HOUGHTON PARKINSON, whose apprehension is sought for embezzlement, native of dewsbury, 30 years of age, 5 feet 4 inchos high, dark complexion, dark brown hair, dark beard and moustache, walks lame and carries a stick in his right-- hand; by trade a painter, but has been employed as * painter's clerk; mixture suit, and black billy- cock hat Warrant issued Information to FRED. Wanted on a Sheriff's Warrant, for theft of a looking- glass ( recovered) from Soldiers' Home, here, on 18th instant, also failing to report, Licence holder JOHN M'DONALD, F. L. 10.36^- 42 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches in height, dark complexion, slight black moustache and imperial, dark brown hair, hazal eyes; marks, scar right eyebrow, mole forehead and both cheeks, flag, stars and stripes, right forearm, gnn below nipples, T. M. and 4 blue marks centre chest, flag and £. S. front and £. S. back left forearm, two blue dots between thumb and finger left hand; dress, black felt hat, dark clothing; ( coat with pockets at sides'), well worn, Lorne shoes. Sentenced for theft at Jedburgh, 26th March, 1877, to 18 months; at Edinburgh, 17th November, 1879, to 5 years, and at Edinburgh. 12th January, 1885, to 7 years' penal servitude. Was discharged on Licence from H. M. Prison, Portland, on 4th July, 1x90. Is a musician, has in his possession a clarionet, given him in loan to play on streets, which he may dispose of and endeavour to obtain other instruments on loan. Associates with musicians and soldiers, and puts up at common lodging houses, may seek employ- ment at theatres, music hall & c. Police officers are requested to make particular search and inquiry for tbe above described person, and should be be traced or apprehended communicate with WM. M'KAY, Superintendent. Description of a silver cross, the property of the Committee of the Roman Catholic Chapel of Melmount, which was stolen from the Chapel of Melmonnt, near Strabane, parish of Urney, barony of Lower Strabane, on the night of 17th or morning of 18th August, 1890:— Silver cross, about 7 inches long and 3 inches wide, used in connection with a remonstrance; value for about £ 2.
