ROYAL IRISH CONSTABULARY, Antrim, Description of a MAN, name unknown, native of Poland, Russia, who stands charged with having, on the night of 12th or morning of 13th October, 1890, in the barony of Lower Belfast, parish of Temple- patrick, stolen from the dwelling- house of Thomas Hugh Barron, of Craigarogan, the following articles, viz.:— A silver Geneva watch, No. 86, 607 or 85,688; steel chain with pendant attached, red on one side, blue on other, a crack on red side ; a black serge coat and vest, trimmed with braid, nearly new; a pair of strong laced boots, newly mended, with patches on soles at toes; a corduroy purse containing lid. Turn in his eyes, turns out his toes when walking, na hair on face except small light moastache, gray eyes, regular nose, fair complexion, round face, very stout make, 5 feet 8 or 9 inches high, about 22 years of age, fair hair; supposed to be wearing the Btolen clothes, as ho left his own old ones behind him ; is a labourer, A Warrant has been issued for his arrest. Description of PETER MURRIN, native place unknown, who stands charged with having, on the October, 1890, in the barony of Tulla Lower, parish of Ogonnelloe, stole a a mare, the property of messrs. Bailey and Bostock, menagerie proprietors, which he afterwards sold:— Speaks with an English accent, blue eyes, ordinary nose, dark complexion, rotand face, medium make, 5 feet 3 or 4 inchcs high, abtfhtAu years of aga, dark hair; wore a shabby tweed C^ L trowsers, and vest; is a stable help. Description of MICHAEL GOGGIN and JAMES GOGGIN, natives rf Ballinagree, and JEREMIAH NEILL, native of Rahalisk, county Cork, who stand charged with having, on tho 5th November, 1890, in the barony of East Muskerry, parish of Donoughmore, seriously assaulted one William S. Hounihan, of Derry, county Cork:— 1. High cheek bones, sharp chin, awkward gait, na beard or whiskers, gray eyes, regulir nose, fair com- plexion, thin face, medium make, 5 feet 9 inches high, about 20 years of age, black hair; wore a r,> u id soft hat, gray twee 1 coat, trowsers, aiid vest; is a labourer. 2. Description of JOHN BURNS, native of Tulla more, who stands charged with having, on the 7th November, 1830, in the barony of Galway, parish of St. Nicholas, broken into a dwellinghouse, and attempted to commit rape:— Scar on right eyebrow, slight squint in one eye, scar on left groin; dark or brown eyes, regular nose, regular face, medium make, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 27 years of age, dark hair, dark moustache, which ha may cut off; wore a soft cap, sack coat, plaid trowsers, end vest; supposed to be wearing a striped muffler round his neck. Is said to be a shoemaker, and a native of King's County, near Tullamore. Belonged to Connaught Rangers from which he has now deserted. Galway, 7th Nov., 1890. ( 5898 83061.) Description of THOMAS WALSH and JOHN WALSH ( their mother's surname Prendergast), natives of Bohermore, or. Galway, who stand charged with having, on tho 1st October, 1890, in the barony of Galway, parish of St, Nicholas, maliciously injured the walls and roof of a house, and stolen timber there- from :—; 1. Tatooed on both arms, hazel eyes, ordinary nose, dark complexion, thin face, slight make, 5 feet 6£ inches high, about 92 years of age, dark brown hair; wore an old low hat, and common labourer's clothes; is an assistant blacksmith. 9. Three blue dots between thumb and forefinger of left hand, sore- mark on left shin where bone wag broke a and fplinter came pit, blue eyes, Ordinary nose, fresh complexion, thin face, slight make, 5 feet inches high, about 19 years of age, dark brown hair; wore an old low hat, and common labourer's clothes; is an assistant blacksmith. These men may be found at iron works cr forges, and may not keep together. They were out on bail, but failed to appear at Galway Quarter Sessions to stand their trial. Kildare, who stands charged with having, on the 6th September, 1890, in the barony of East Narragh and Reban, parish of Moone, by falsa and fraudulent pretences obtained one silver watch, value for £ 2 10s., whi; h watch he pa vned at Mr. Doyle's pawn office, Athy:— Apparently blind, holds up his head high when walking, rogu'ar nosi, fre3h complexion, th n faco, medium make, 5 feet 10 inches high, about 50 years of age, gray hair; wore an old brown coat, tweed trowsers and vest, all much worn; goes about the country as a quack doctor. Description of PATRICK LANNERY ( mother's surname Cantwell), native of Straleek, county Kildare, and PATRICK LAWLESS, native of Dublin, who stand charged with having, on the 23rd October, 1890, at LoUghlinstown, in the barony of South Silt, parish of Donaghcomper, assaulted Patrick Malony, of Allen- wood, and robbed him of 14s, 6d. oa the highway:— 1. Brown eyes, regular nos>, swarthy complexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 8 inches high, abont 23 years of age, bl ick hair; wore a black cap, dark coat, white moleskin trowsers, and dirk vest, is a boatman. 2. Gray eyes, regular nose, fair complexion, thin sharp face, slight ma'te, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 23 years of age, fair hair ; wore a soft black Jim Crow hat, dark coat, dark tweid trowsers tnd vest, is a boatman. Description of JOHN SHANNAHAN, native place unknown, who stands charged with having, on the 11th day of November, 1890, in the barony of Gowran, pari h of St John's, stolen a bulock, three yeers old, and value £ 12, the property of Michael Lyng, of Lower Grange:— Walks as if foot sore, regular nose, dark complexion, high cheek bones, medium make, 5 feet 8 inch's high, about 45 or 50 years of age, dark hair; shaved face, black motstache turning gray; wore a round hard hat, short dark tweed coat, and white muffler with spots; is a cattle drover. Description of the undernamed young offender, who, on the evening of the 14th November, 1890, absconded from the Philipstown Reformatory School, at King's County, by leaving his employment at Killonghey ;— JAMES GINN, No. 1,103, 18 or 19 years of aj- e, 6 feet 6 inches high, heavy stout make, fresh com- plexion, brown hair, gray eyes, broad nose, regular mouth, full visage, sear on left brew, forefinger of left band crooked, cut- scar on ball of left thumb; dressed in a soft felt hat, navy- blue serge jacket, moleskin trewsers, and Blucher boots. Formerly be'onied to Londonderry. Would very likely try to enlist. Description of JOHN RYAN, alias SAMMON, native of Limerick City, who stands charged with having, on the 2Sth of June, 1890, in the barony of Clonlisk, parish of Kilmurry Ely, stolen a saddle und bridle:— slightly pockpitted, brown eyes, regular nose, fresh complexion, oval face, proportionate make, 5 feet 3- J inches high, about 47 years of age, b'ack hair; wore a brown Jerry hat turning red fiom age, old black frock coat, and corduroy trowsers J is a labourer. Description of TWO MEN, names unknown, who stand charged with having, on the night of 19th Sep- tember, 1890, about 9J p. m, in the barony of Bally- cowan, parish of Durrow, entered the house of Peter Geoghegan, of Ballinamona, and robbed him of the sum of £ 25, consisting of one ten pound and three five pound cotes, numbers unknown:— 1. Shaved face, sandy moustache, 5 feet 9 or 10 inches high, about 24 years of age; wore a black hat and short dark coat. 2. Fair complexion, shaved face, 5 feet 8 or 9 inches high, about 24 years of age; wore a black hat and dark tweed suit. Description of MAURICE WOLFE, native of Russia, who stands charged with having, on the 2nd Ocfober, 1890, at Drogheda, in the barony of Drogheda, parish of St Peter's, unlawfully stolen, taken, and carried away the following articles of wearing apparel, the property of one david Brudno, viz.:— One double- breasted brown coat, value XI 2s. 6d.; a single vest, same material; a boy's dark gray overcoat, value 7*. 6d.; a blue pilot overcoat, value 18a ; a dark gray sack coat, value ; a hard round hat, maker's name " Robinson, Drogheda"; and several other articles of wearing apparel:— Black eyes, regnlar nose, sallow complexion, medium make, 5 teet 5 inches high, about 21 years of ago, black early bair ; wore a black felt hat, dark coat, gray tweed trowsers and vest, strong laced boots with nuils, may be wearing some of tbe stolen articles; is a pedlar. Description of TIMOTHY FREEMAN, native of Derrycastle, who is of weak intellect, and missing from his home, at Derrycastle, in the barony of Costelloe, parish of Aughamore:— Brown eyes, long thin drooped nose, sallow complexion, thin face, worn appearance, medium make, 5 feet 2 inches high, about 35 years) of age, short back, black hair, thin beard; wore a one- peak brown tweed cap, velvet coat, corduroy trowsers, black tweed vest, and clogs; is a labourer. Monaghan, Description of FRANCIS FINNEGAN ( mother's surname M'Mahon), native of Cormoy, who stands charged with having, on the 4th November, in the barony of Dartree, parish of Killeevan, threatened to murder William Little, of Listellan, and others, and to destroy certain houses with dynamite; Square shoulders, slightly freckled face, good address, wears all Lis heard which is clipped short, gray eyes, regnlar nose, fair complexion, rcu id face, stout make, 5 feet 6 or 7 inthes high, about 40 or 45 years of age, brown hair turning gray; wore a black coat, gray tweed trowsers and vest; is a carpenter, generally works about timber yards. Tipperary, Description of PATRICK HOGAN, native of Ballykeveen, who stands charged with having, on the 15th August, 1890, at Toem, in the barony of Kil- namanagh Upper, parish of Toem, unlawfully stabbed one Edmond Noonan in the breast with a knife, thereby placing his life in danger:— Gray eyes, rather cocked nose, pale complexion, thin face, smart make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 20 years of age, fair hair; wore a gray suit of clothes; is a labourer. « DUNdrum, 16ih August, 1890. Particulars relative to Convict PATRICK O'BRIEN, c 263, convicted at Clonmel Assizes, county Tipperary, on 19th July, 1888, for the larceny of a pair of blankets, and sentenced to 5 years' penal servitude:— 26 years of age on conviction, single; is a labourer; born at Clonmel, where he resided before conviction, and where his friends reside:— Dark brown hair, hazel eyes, dark brown eyebrows, medium nose, medium mouth., sallow complexion, oval visage, proportionate make, 5 feet 5^ inches high, cut mark left side of head and between left thumb and forefinger, burn mark on left knee and shin. This man was released from Mountjoy Prison on 20th December, 1889, and went to reside at Clon- mel. He failed to report himself to the R. I. C. there on the 2nd inst., he is suspected of having committed larceny, and his present whereabouts is unknown. Description of DAVID SMITH ( supposed false) who stands chargcd on Warrant with having, on the 21 st day of September, 1890, in the parish of Luudington, feloniously set fire to 8 wheat stacks, 2 oat stacks, 1 hay stack, and 2 straw stacks, tho property of Thomas Bladworth :— From 21 to 24 years of age, 5 feet 1 or 2 inches high, fair complexion, blue eye-, light brown hair cut short, very slight light moustache, no whiskers, slim build. May be gathering rags and bones, rather fend of singing in public houses, likely to be found in low beer or lodging houses. Prison, Kendal, on Wednesday, September 24th, 1890, about six p. m., SAMUEL JOHNSTON, alias GEORGE GRAHAM, farm labourer, 25 years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, brown curly hair, slight light moustache and whiskers, gray eyes, fresh complexion, proportionate build, native of Annan, Scotland, rather vacant expression, speaks with a Scotch accent. Marks— cut mark on top part of right side of forehead, cut mark just above left eye- brow, vaccination marks on left arm, varicose veins on right leg, sore mark on right knee. Dress— Red striped cotton shirt, light moleskin trowsers marked with broad arrow, which is almost washed out, dark gray socks with red band, shoes; remainder of dress uncertain. C. R.," 1 silver sugar tongs, 5 forks, 2 tablespoons, 5 dessertspoons, all electroplated; a lady's silver Geneva watch, small crack on dial at the figure VI., M'Cutcheon, Downpatrick, maker. Description of a silver cross, the property of the Committee of the Roman Catholic Chapel of Melmount, which was stolen from the Chapel of Melmount, near Strabane, parish of Urney, barony of Lower Strabane, on the night of 17th or morning of 18th August, 1890:— Silver cross, about 7 inches long and 3 inches wide, used in connection with a remonstrance; value for about £ 2. Description of articles stolen, the property of Felix Quinn, which were stolen from his house at Aurora, parish of Powerscourt, barony of Rathdown, on the morning of the 7th day of October, 1890, viz.:— A blue pilot top coat, sack make, velvet collar, double breasted, lined with black serge, quilted under arms, raised seams down the back, cloth ( black) coloured bnttons, value about 1 Ss.; two calico handkerchiefs, one red and white, and one white; a set of brown beads, with small cross ( brass); two penknives, one large sized, with two blades, cork screw and pick attached white metal handle, one small penknife with white bone handle, having two blades.
