ATZOSJB. % gT All Notices intended for insertion in the Hue- and- Cry are to be transmitted under cover, addressed to the Inspector- General, Royal Irish Constabulary, Dob Jin Castle, authenticated by a Separate Communication. No Description can be inserted unless an Information shall hare been Sworn; but it is not necessary to forward the Informations to the Inspector- General. Notices respecting all Felonies and such Misdemeanours as are of an aggravated nature will be inserted. All Descriptions of persons whose apprehension is sought on a charge of Misdemeanour Bhould be accompanied by a statement that a Warrant has been issued, and by the name of the person in whose hands it is. But the Constabulary should' remember that they cannot arrest a person charged with an offence of this Mature unless they have the Warrant ia their possession when making the arrest. Should irregularities arise in the delivery of the Hue- and- Cry, it will be necessary to forward one of the covers, or give the number it bears, as without thia Information the mistake cannot be rectified. Prison and Polioe Authorities are particularly requested to be good enough to inform the Inspector- General, Royal Irish Constabulary, Dublin Cast]*, of the abolition of Gaols, Stations, Ac., and of any circumstances rendering the supply of the " Hue- and- Cry" no longer necessary. Antrim, Description of a MAN, name unknown, native of Poland, Russia, who stands charged with having, on the night of 12th or morning of 13th October, 1- 90, in the barony of Lower Belfast, parish of Temple- patrick, stolen from the dwelling- house of Thomas Hugh Barron, of Craigarogan, the following articles, viz.:— A silver Geneva watch, No. 85, 607 or 85,608; steel chain with pendant attached, red on one side, blue on otl er, a crack on red side ; a black serge coat and vent, trimmed with braid, nearly new; a pair of strong laced boots, newly mended, with patches on soles at toes; u corduroy purse containing 11a.:— Turn in his eyes, turns out his toes when walking, ri6 hair cn face except small light moustache, gray eyes, regular nose, fair complexion, round face, very stout make, 5 leet 8 or 9 inches high, about 22 years of age, fair hair; supposed to bo wearing the stolen clothes, as ho left his own old ones behind him; is a labourer. Description of PETER MURRIN, native place unknown, who stands charged with having, on the 22nd October, 1890, in tho barony of Tulla Lower, parish of Ogonnelloe,- stolen a mare, the property of Messrs. Bailey and Bostock, menagerie proprietors, which he afterwards sold:— Speaks with an English accent, blue eyes, ordinary nose, dark complexion, round face, medium make, 5 feet 3 or 4 inches high, about £ 0 years of ago, dark hair; wore a shabby tweed coat, trowiers, and vest; is a stable help. ( 5689 0 82705 ) Cork. description of JOHN LOONEY, native of Bandon, stands charged with having, on the 7th April, in the barony ol Kinalmeaky, parish of Bally- moden, deserted his four children, so that they became destitute, and are since the 23rd April, 1890, relieved in the Workhouse of the Bandon Union :— Dark eyes, regular nose, dark complexion, round face, medium make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 40 years of age, black hair; wore a dark tweed coat, brown tweed trowsers and vest; is a labourer. Description of WILLIAM M'GREGORY, native of Scotland, who stands charged with having, on the 23rd day of September, 1890, in the barony of Ivesgh Lower, lower half, parish of Seapatrick, entered the dwellinghouse of William Dale, of Drumnagally, and stolen therefrom the sum of £ 2, consisting of two notes, numbers unknown :— Scar on right side of neck, speaks with a Scotch accent, gray or blue eyes, regular nose, pale complexion, thin tace, medium make 5 leet 6 inches high, about 26 years of age, fair hair; wore a gray tweed cap, dark coat, checked trowsers, dark vest, and military boots ; is a discharged soldier, a shoemaker, and also works as a farm labour. Description of THOMAS WALSH and JOHN WALSH ( their mother's surname Prendergast), natives of Bohermore, ce. Galway, who stand charged with having, on the 1st October, 1890, in the barony of Galway, parish of St. Nicholas, maliciously injured the walls and roof of a house, and stolen timber there- from :— 1. Tatooed on both arms, hazel eyes, ordinary nose, dark complexion, thin face, slight make, 5 feet 6 J inches high, about 22 years of age, dark brown hair; wore an old low hat, and common labourer's clothes ; is an assistant blacksmith. i. Three blue dots between thumb and forefinger of left hand, sore- mark on left shin where bone was broken and splinter came out, blue eyas, ordinary nose, fresh complexion, thin face, slight make, 5 feet f | inches high, about 19 years of age, dark brown hair; wor3 au old low hat, and common labourer's clothes; is an assistant blacksmith. These men may be found at iron works or forge s, and may not keep together. They were out on bail, but failed to appear at Galway Quarter Sessions to stand their trial Warrant for their arrest in hati ds if the District Inspector, at Galway. Galway, October, 1890. CONNELL, native of Gosport, Hants, who stands charged with having, on the 4th October, 1890, in the barcny of Trughanackmy, parish of Tralee, stolen £ 15, the property of Major Henry Murray, Royal Munster Fusiliers:— Thick lips and a misshapen nose, hazel eyes, flat ncse, fresh complexion, full face, medium make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 37 years of age, fair hair; wore a dark tag coat, bright trowsers, dark vest; is a clerk. Description of PATRICK LANNERY ( mother's surname Cantwell), native of Straleek, county Kildare, and PATRICK LAWLER, native of Dublin, who stand charged with having, on the 23rd October, 18S0, at Loughlinstown, in the barony of South Salt, parish of Donaghcomper, assaulted Patrick Malony, of Allen- wood, and robbed him of 14s. Cd. on the highway:— 1. Brown eyes, regular nose, swarthy complexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 8 inches high, aboit 23 years of age, black hair; were a black cap, dark c.~ at, white moleskin trowsers, and dark vest, is a boatman. 2. Gray eyes, regular nose, fair complexion, thin sharp face, slight make, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 23 years of age, fair hair ; wore a soft black Jim Crow hat, dark coat, dark twead trowsers and vest, is a boatman. Description of JOHN RYAN, alias SAMMON, native of Limerick City, who stands charged with having, on the 28th of June, 1890, in the barony of Clonlisk, parish of Kilmurry Ely, stolen a saddle and bridle:— slightly pockpitted, brown eyes, regul > r nose, fresh complexion, oval face, proportionate make, 5 feet 8$ inches high, about 47 years of age, black hair; wore a brown Jerry hat turning red fiom age, old black frock coat, and corduroy trowsers; is a labourer. Description of TWO MEN, names unknown, who stand charged with having, on the night of 19th Sep- tember, 1890, about 9| p. m., in the barony of Bally- cowan, parish of Durrow, entered the house of Peter Geoghegan, of Ballinamona, and robbed him of the sum oi £ 25, consisting of one ten pound and three five pound notes, numbers unknown:— 1. Shaved face, sandy moustache, 5 feet 9 or 10 inches high, about 24 years of age; wore a black hat and short datk coat. 2. Fair complexion, ehaved face, 5 feet 8 or 9 inches high, about 24 years of age; wore a black hat and dark tweed , suit. Description of MAURICE WOLFE, native of Russia, who stands charged with haying, on the 2nd October, 1890, at Drogheda, in the barony of Drogheda, parish of St Peter's, unlawfully stolen, taken, and carried away the following articles of wearing apparel, the property of one David Brudno, viz.:— One double- breasted brown coat, value XI ' 2s. 6d.; a single vest, same material; a boy's dark gray overcoat, valne 7s. 6d.; a blue pilot overcoat, value 18 « .; a dark gray sack coat, value Us.; a hard round hat, maker's name " Robinson, Drogheda"; and several other articles of wearing apparel:— Black eyes, regular nose, sallow complexion, medium make, 5 feet 5 inches high, about 21 years of age, black early hair; wore a black felt ha*., dark coat, gray tweed trowsers and vest, strong laced boots with n dls, may be wearing some of the stolen articles; is a pedlar. Mayo, Description of TIMOTHY FREEMAN, native of Derry castle, who is of weak intellect, end missing from his home, at Derrycastle, in the barony of Costelloe, parish of Aughamore:— Brown eyes, long thin drooped nose, sallow complexion, thin face, worn appearance, medium make, 5 feet 2 miles high, about 35 years cf age, shoit back, black hair, thin beord; wore a cne- peak brown tweed cup, velvet coat, corduroy trowsers, black tweed vest, and clogs; is a labourer. Description of JOHN QUINN ( mother's surname M'Govern), native of Clooneycarn, who stands charged with having, on the 14th day of October. 1890, ia the barony of Roscommon, parish of Lissonuffy, unlawfully assaulted one John Farrell, thereby endangering his life :— Knock- kneed, large mouth, thick lips, generally keeps bis mouth open, dark eyes, thin nose, dark com- plexion, thin face, medium make, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 45 years of age, black tinged with gray hair; wore a flat- crowned tweed cap with one peak, dark tweed coat, corduroy trowsers, and dark tweed vest, is a labourer. Description of PATRICK HOGAN, native of Ballykeveen, who stands charged with having, on the 15th August, 1890, at Toem, in the barony of Kil- namanagh Upper, parish of Toem, unlawfully stabbed one Edmond Noonan in the breast with a knife, thereby placing his life in danger:— Gray eyes, rather cocked nose, pa'e complexion, thin face, smart make, 5 feet 6 inches high, abont 20 years of age, fair hair; wore a gray suit of c'. othes; is a labourer. Particulars relative to Convict PATRICK O'BRIEN, c 263, convicted at Clonmel Assizes, county Tipperary, on 19th Jnly, 1888, for the larceny of a pair of blankets, and sentenced to 5 years' penal servitude :— 26 years of age on conviction, single; is a labourer; born at Clonmel, where he resided before conviction, and where his friends reside:— Dark brown hair, hazel eyes, dark brown eyebrows, medium nose, medium mouth, sallow complexion, oval visage, proportionate make, 5 feet 6 J inches high, cut mark left side of head and between left thumb and forefinger, burn mark on left knee and shin. This man was released from Mountjoy Prison on 20th December, 1889, and went to reside at Clon- mel. He failed to report himself to the R. I. C. there on the 2nd inst., he is suspected of having committed larceny, and his present whereabouts is unknown. Description of LAWRENCE MOONEY, native of Dublin, who stands charged with having, on the 14th October, 1890, in the barony of Arklow, parish of Kilpoole, made his escape from Wicklow Gaol, where he had been confined on remand charged with larceny of money:— Blue eyes, long nose, fresh com- plexion, small thin face, slight make, 5 feet inches li'gh, about 16 years of age, fair hair ; wore a brown htrd hat, old gray tweed coat, daik tweed trowsers and vest, black tie* and laced boots; is a licenced car- driver in Dublin. Particulars relative to Convict HUGH MUL- DOON, alias WILLIAM JOHN JACKSON, A 756, coavicted at Trinity Sessions, Belfast, county Antrim, on tho 10th July, 1833, for larceny and a previous conviction for felony, and sentenced to 8 years' penal servitude, and 5 years' police supervision:— 35 years of age on conviction, single, dealer; born at Omagh, resided before conviction at Belfast; dark brown hair turning gray, hazel eyes, dark eyebrows, small nose, small mouth, sallow complexion, oval visage, medium make, 6 feet 5£ inches high, lost right eye. This man was released from Mountjoy Prison on Licence, on 16th August, 1890, and went to B> lrast. He left his lodgings in that city on 22nd July, ultimo, without notifying fame to the police, and his present whereabouts is unknown. He is about 40 years of age, 5 feet 9 inches high, stout build, round full face, fresh complexion, dark brawn hair, full whiskers and moustacha; dressed when last seen in a dark ribbed cloth morning coat and vest, daik trowsers, hard black billycock hat, and low shoes. O. Description of a silver cross, the property of the Committee of the Roman Catholic Chapel of Melmount, which was stolen from the Chapel of Melmount, near Strabane, parish of Urney, barony of Lower Strabane, on the night of I7th or morning of I8th August, 1890:— Silver cross, about 7 inches long and 3 inches wide, used in connection with a remonstrance; value for abont £ 2.
