ROYAL IRISH CONSTABULARY, Antrim, Description of a MAN, name unknown, native of Poland, Russia, Who stands charged with having, on the night of 12th or morning of 13th October, 1890, in the barony of Lower Belfast, parish of Temple- patrick, stolen from the dwelling- house of Thomas Hugh Barron, of Craigarogan, the following articles, viz.:— A silver Geneva watch, No. 85, 607 or 85,608; steel chain with pendant attached, red on one side, blue on other, a crack or red side ; a black serge coat and vest, trimmed with braid, nearly new; a pair ot strong laced boots, newly mended, with patches on soles at toes; a corduroy purse containing ilrf.:— Turn in bis eyes, turns out his toes when walking, no hair on face except small light moustache, gray oyes, regular noso, iair complexion, round face, very stout make, 5 feet 8 or 9 inches high, about 22 years of age, fair hair} supposed to bo wearing the stolen clothes, as he left his own old ones behind him ; is a labourer. Description of PETER MURRIN, native place unknown, who stands charged with Laving, on the 22nd October, 1890, in the barony of Tulla Lower, parish of Ogonnelloe, stolen a mare, the property of Messrs. Bailey and Bostock, menagerie proprietors, which be afterwards sold:— Speaks with an English accent, blue eyes, ordinary nose, dark complexion, round face, medium make, 5 feet 3 or 4 inches high, about SO years of age, dark hair; wore a shabby tweod coat, trowsers, and vest ; is ft stable ho'p. (' 5GH9 82705 ) Cork Description of JOHN LOONEY, native of Bandon, who stands charged with having, on tho 7th April, 1890, in the barony of Kinalmeaky, parish of Bally- moden, deserted his four children, so that they became destitute, and are since the 2>& rd April, 1890, relieved in the Workhouse of the bandon union : — Dark eyes, regular nose, dark completion, round face, medium make, 6 feet 6 inches high, aboat 40 years of age, black hair; wore a dark tweed coat, brown tweed trowsers and vest; is a labourer. Galway, who stand charged with having, on the let October, 1890. in tho barony of Galway, parish of St. Nicholas, maliciously injured the walls and roof of a house, and stolon timber there- 1. Tatooed on both arms, hazel eyes, ordinary noss, dark completion, thin face, slight make, 5 feet inches high, about 22 years of ago, dark brown hair; wore an old low Lat, and common labourer's clothes ; is an assistant blacksmith. 2. Three blue dots between thumb and forefinger of left hand, sore- mark on left shin where bone was broken and splinter came out, blue eyes, ordinary nose, fresh complexion, thin fi. ee, slight niafco, 5 feet inches high, about 19 years of age, dark brown hair; iwor- 3 an old low hat, and common labourer's clothes is an assistant blacksmith. Description of PATRICK LANNERY ( mother's surname Cantwell), nhtivo of Strakek, county Kildare, and PATRICK LAWLeR, native of Dublin, who stand charged with having, on tho 23rd October, 1890, at Lougtlinstown, in tho barony of South salt, parish of Donaghcomper, assaulted Patrick Malony, of Allen- wood, and robbed him cf 14s. Naas, 25th Oct pATRICK HARRIS, JOHN HARRIS, and JOHN POWER ( riot, Ac.), described in issue of 3rd October, not arrested. ( 4266 c— 80149.) Description of TWO MEN, names unknown, who stand charged with having, on the night of 19th Sep- tember, 1890, about 9J p. m., in tho barony of Bally- cowan, parish of Durrow, entered the house of Peter Geoghegan, of Ballinamona, and robbed him of the sum oi £ 25, consisting of one ton pound and three five pound notes, numbers unknown :— 1. Shaved face, sandy moustache, 5 feet 9 or JO inches high, about 24 years of « g « ; wore a black hut and short dark coat 2. Description of TIMOTHY FREEMAN, native of Derrycastle, wlo is of weak intellect, and missing from his home, a'. Derrycastle, in the barony of Costelloe. parish of Aughamore;— Brown eyes, long thin drooped nose, sallow complexion, thin face, worn appearance, medium make, 5 feet 2 inches high, about 35 years of uge, shoit back, black hair, thin beard; wore a cne- pouk brown tweod cap, velvet coat, corduroy trowsers, black tweed vest, and clogs i is a labourer. A Warrant for his arrest is in ( ho hands of the Po'ice. Ballaghaderreen, 1st Oct., 1890. ( 5159 c.— 81799. roscommon. Description of JOHN QUiNN ( mother's surname M'Govern), native of Clooneycarn, who stands charged with bavins;, on the 14th day of October. 1890, in the barony of Roscommon, parish of Lissonuffy, unlawfully assaulted one John Farrell, thereby endangering his life :— Knock- kneed, large mouth, thick lips, generally keep* his mouth open, dark oyes, thin nose, dark com- ploxior, thin face, medium make, 5 teet 7 inches hi^ h, about 45 years oi age, black tinged witii gray hair; woro a flat- crowned tweed cap with one peak, dark tweed coat, corduroy trowsers, and dark tweed vest, is a labourer. Quinn it likely to endeavour to go to England. Warrant for bis arrest in the hands of H. J. Walsh, Esq., D. I., R. I. C, Strokestowa. . Strokestown, 2c th Oct., 18< 0. 5124 c.— 82683. Tipperary. Description of PATRICK hOGAN, native of Ballykeveen, who stands charged with having, on the 15th August, 1890, at Toem, in the barony of Kil- namanagh Upper, parish of Toem, unlawfully stabbed one Edmond Noonan in the breast with a knife, thereby placing his life in danger:— Gray eyes, rather cocked nose, pale complexion, thin face, smart make, 5 foet 6 inches high, about 20 years of age, fair hair; wore a gray suit of clothes j is a labourer. Dundrum, 16th August, 1890. ( 4170 80115.) Particulars relative to Convict PATRICK O'BRIEN, c 263, convicted at Clonmel Assizes, tounty Tipperary, on 19th July, 1888, for the larceny of a pair of blankets, and sentenced to 5 years' penal servitude:— 26 years of age on conviction, single; is a labourer; born at Clonmel, where he resided before conviction, and where his friends reside;— Dark brown hair, hazel eyes, dark brown eyebrows, medium nose, medium mouth, sallow complexion, oval visage, proportionate make, 5 feet 6jt inches high, cut mark left side of head and between left thumb and forefinger, burn mark on left knee and shin. This man was released from Mountjoy Prison on 20th December, 1889, and went to reside at Clon- mel. He failed to report himself to the R. I. C. thero on the 2nd inst., ho is suspected of having committed larceny, and his present whereabouts is unknown. In the ovont ol his arrest he should be dealt with under section 5 of 34 and 35 Vic., cap. 112. ( 331 ii. c.) JOHN LYNCH ( sheep stealing), described in issue of 3rd October, not arrested. THOMAS HAMILTON, alias DONNELLY, native of Armagh, ALEXANDER HAWTHORNE, alias SAMUEL JAMES NEAL, native of Cookstown, WILLIAM M'KNIGHT, alias CURRY, alias M'WILLIAMS. native of Armagh, not arrested; Hue- and- Cry, 28th October, 18J0. ( 4213 c.— 80384.) PATRICK SHARKEY ( rape), described in Hue- and- Cry of 13th May, not arrested. ( 517 a— 73739.) Wicklow. Description of LAWRENCE MOONEY, native of Dublin, who stands charged with having, on tho 14th October, 1890, in the barony of Arklow, parish of Kilpocls, made his escape from Wicklow Gaol, whire ho had been confined on remand charged with larceay of mooey:— Blue eyes, long nose, fresh com- plexion, small thin face, slight make, 5 feet 3J inches h gh, abjut 16 years ef ape, fair hair ; wore a brown htrd bat, old gray tweed coat, daik tweed trowsers and vest, black tie, and laced boots; is a licenced car- driver in Dublin. Has friends in Dublin, Kingstown, and Rathdrum. Information swtrn and warrant in hands of District Inspector at Wicklow. Wicklow, 1 > th Oct., 1890. ( 5437 c — 82267 ) DUBLIN METROPOLITAN POLICE. C Division. Particulars relative to Convict HUGH MUL- DOON, alias WILLIAM JOHN JACKSON, A 756, coavicted at Trinity Sessions, Belfast, county Antrim, on the 10th July, 1833, for larceny and a previous conviction for felony, and sentenced to 8 years' ponal servitude, and 5 years' police supervision:— 35 years of age on conviction, single, dealer; born at Omagh, resided before conviction at Belfast; dark brown hair turning gray, hazel eyes, dark eyebrows, small nose, small mouth, sallow complexion, oval visage, medium make, 5 feet 5£ inches high, lost right eye. This man was released from Mountjoy Prison on Licence, on 16th August, 1890, and went to Belfast. He left his lodgings in that city on 22nd July, ultimo, without notifying fame to the police, and his present whereabouts is unknown. In the event of his arrest ho should be dealt with under 34 and 35 Via, cap. 112, sec. 5. 15th September, 1890. ( 345 H. C.) Convict MARY MACVICKER, described in issue of 3 rd October, not arrested. General Prisons Board, 21st August, 18 0. ( 339 H. C.) ENGLISH POLICE. Lancashire, Absconded on the 10th inst., and now charged by Warrant with embezzlement, JAMES BURNS MEUDELL, a joiner by trade, and lately superin- tendent of one of the Corporation Baths in this city. He is about 40 years of age, 5 feet 9 inches high, • tout build, round full face, fresh complexion, dark brown hair, full whiskers and moustache; dressed when last seen in a dark ribbed cloth morning coat and vest, daik tronters, lurd black billycock hit, and low shoes. Please canse every possible enquiry to be made at all likely places, and if found, arrest and wire to GEORGE WILLIAMS, Chief Superintendent. Liverpool, 21st October, 1890. ( 353 H. C.) Lincolnshire. Description of DAVID SMITH ( supposed false), who stands charged on Warrant with having, oa tho 81st day of September, 1890, in the parish of Luddington, feloniously set fire to 8 wheat stacks, 2 oat stacks, 1 hay stack, and 2 straw stacks, the property of Thomas Bladworth From 21 to 24 years of age, 5 feet 1 or 2 inches high, fair complexion, blue eye , light brown hair cut short, very Blight light moustache, no whiskers, slim build. Dressed in brown check cloth coat, dark cloth trowsers and vest, white neckerchief, light ropgh cloth cap, peak of same material, and light lace boots. May be gathering rags and bones, rather fond of singing in public houses, likely to be found in low beer or lodging houses. It is particularly requested that inquiry may be made, and information given, promptly to JOHN TAYLOR, Superintendent. Epworth Station, 27th October, 1890. (.' 55 n. o ) norfolkshire. O. Ridley, which was not endorsed, also about 20 blank cheques of Gurney and Co's. Bank, all numbered " 19318 :— He gare the name of GRANT, which may be fictitious, aged about 28 years, 5 feet 10 or 11 inches high, fresh complexion, or own or light brown hair, small ginger moustache, spare build; dressed ia black coat, gray or mixad trowsers, black felt hat; gentlemanly appearance, and stated he was a commercial. Will probably utter Coutts and Co's. cheqne, No. » / l6 6034, and may issue forged cheques in the name of R. O. SMITH, alias AGNES CALLAGhAN or CLARE, a Convict on licence, Convict office No. 38887, 53 years of age, 5 fe ® t 5 inches high, fresh complexion, gray hair, hazel eyes, lost several teeth, scars on left forearm, stays at common lodging- houses. Sha committed the theft at a common lodging- house in this borough. She is also wanted by the Metropolitan Police for failing to notify her change of residence. Prison, Kendal, on Wednesday, September 24th, 1890, about six p. m., SAMUEL JOHNSTON, alias GEORGE GRAHAM, farm labourer, 25 years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, brown curly hair, slight light moustache and whiskers, gray eyes, fresh complexion, proportionate build, native of Annan, Scotland, rather vacant expression, speaks with a Scotch accent. Marks— cut mark rn top part of right side of forehead, cut mark just above loft eye- brow, vaccination marks on left srm, varicose veir s on right leg, sore mark on right knee. Dress— Red striped cotton shirt, light mo'eskin trowsors marked with broad arrow, which is almost washed out, dark gray socks wit h rod band, shoes; remainder of dresj uncertain. Has been convicted as follows:— Annan Borough Police Conrt, 15th July, 1880; ten days and two years in Reformatory. Whitehaven Petty Sessions, 4th March, 1887; felony, two months. Longtown Petty Sessions, Snd June, 1887; felony, six months. Lancaster Quarter Sessions, 2nd January, 1888; felony, six months. Dumfries Sheriff Jury, 12th October, 1888; burglary, six months. Particulars of HOUGHTON PARKINSON, whose apprehension is sought for embezzlement, native of Dewsbury, 30 years of age, 5 feet 4 inches high, dark complexion, dark brown hair, dark beard and moustache, walks lame and carries a stick in his right hand; by trade a painter, but has been employed as a painter's clerk; mixture suit, and black billy- cock hat. Wanted on a Sheriff's Warrant, for theft of a looking- glass ( recovered) from Soldiers' Home, here, on 18th instant, also failing to report, Licence holder JOHN M'DONALD, F. L 1036:— 42 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches in heigbt, dark complexion, slight black moustache and imperial, dark brown bair, hazel eyes; marks, scar right eyebrow, mole forehead and both cheeks, flag, stais and stripes, right forearm, gun below nipples, T. M. and 4 blue marks centre chest, flag and F. S. front and E. S. back left forearm, two blue dots between thumb and fioger left hand; dress, black felt bat, dark clothing ( coat with pockets at sides), well worn, Lorne shoes. Sentenced for theft at Jedburgh, 26th March, 1877, to 18 months; at Edinburgh, I7th November, 1879, to 5 years, and at Edinburgh, 12th January, 1885, to 7 years' penal servitude. Was discharged on Licence from H. M. Prison, Portland, on 4th July, 1890. Is a musician, has in his possession a clarionet, given him in loan to play on streets, which he may dispose of and endeavour to obtain other instruments on loan. Associates with musicians and sol ' icrs, and puts up at common lodging- houses, may seek employ- ment at theatres, music hall, & c. Police officers are requested to make particular search and inquiry for tbe above described person, and should he be traced or apprehended communicate with WM. M'KAY, Superintendent. Description of a silver cross, the property of the Committee of the Roman Catholic Chapel of Melmount, which was stolen from the Chapel of Melmonnt, near Strabane, parish of Urney, barony of Lower Strabane, on the night of 17th or morning of 18lh August, 1890 :— Silver cross, about 7 inches long and 3 inches wide, used in connection with a remonstrance; value tor about £ 2.
