No Description can be inserted unless an Information shall have been Sworn ; but it ia not necessary to forward the Informations U , Inspector- General. » Notices respecting all Felonies and such Misdemeanours as are of an aggravated nature will be inserted. All Descriptions of persons whose apprehension is sought on a charge of Misdemeanour should be accompanied by a statement that a Warrant has been issued, and by the name of the person in whose hands it is. But the Constabulary should remember that they cannot arrest a person charged with an offence of this nature unless they have the Warrant in their possession when making the arrest %* Should irregularities arise in the delivery of the Hue- and- Cry, it will be necessary to forward one of the covers, or give the number it bears, as without this Information the mistake cannot be rectified. Prison and Police Authorities are particularly requested to be good enough to inform the Inspector- General, Royal Irish Constabulary, Dublin Cast]", of the abolition of Gaols, Stations, Ao., and of any circumstances rendering the supply of the " Hue- and- Cry " no longer necessary. Description of PATRICK HARRIS ( mother's sur- name Joyce), JOHN HARRIS ( mother's surname Joyce), and JOHN POWER ( mother's surname Spittle), natives of Athy, who stand charged with having, on tbe 24th August, 1890, in the barony of Narragh and Reban West, parish of St John's, taken part in a riot, and assaulted the police:— 1. May have wounds on head and face caused by blows of policeman's baton, brown eyes, regular nose, fresh complexion, round shaved face, stout make, 5 feet 9 or 10 inches high, about 24 years of age; were a brown fur cap, short black coat, moleskin trowsers, and dark vest; is a canal boatman. 2. Wants some teeth in front of mouth, may have wounds on head and face caused by batons, gray eyes, short nose, sallow complexion, short face, medium make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 30 years of age, brown hair, shaves all face except brown moustache; wore a black cap, gray frock coat, moleskin trowsers, and dark vest; is a canal boatman. 3. May have wounds on head and face caused by batons, dark eyes, long nose, dark sallow complexion, thin face, thin and hardy make, 5 feet 9 inches high, about 24 years of agq, shaves all his face; wore a very dark tweed coat, dark tweed trowsers and vest; is a boatman, Warrant in lands of D. Description of JAMES COMERFORD ( mother's surname Rowe), native of Mooncoin, who stands charged with having, on the 18th day of August, 1890, at Mooncoin, in the barony < f Iverk, parish of Pollrone, committed rape on Alice Davis:— Good looking, brown eyes, regular nose, fresh complexion, round soft slightly freckled face, stout make, 5 feet 4 or 5 ioches high, about 19 yesrs of age, dark hair 5 wore a blue one- peaked cap, and navy- blue serge suit; is a publioan's son. Description of TWO MEN, names unknown, who stand charged with having, on the night of 19th Sep- tember, 1890, about 9£ p. m., in the barony of Bally cowan, parish of Durrow, entered the house of Peter Geoghegan, of Ballinamona, and robbed him of the sum of £ 25, consisting of one ten pound and three five pound notes, numbers unknown:— 1. Shaved face, sandy moustache, 5 feet. 9 or 10 inches high, about 24 years of age; wore a black hat and short dark coat. 2. Fair complexion, shaved face, 5 feet 8 or 9 inches high, about 24 years of age; wore a black hat and dark tweed suit Information sworn, and Warrants are in the hands of the District Inspector at Tullamore. ( 4869 c— 81279 ) Description of the undernamed young offender, who, on the 5th September, 1890, absconded from the Philipstown Reformatory School, at King's County :— JAMES JONES, No. 1309, about 17 years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, stout make, fresh eomplexion, brown hair, gray eyes, ordinary nose, regula mouth, oval visage; formerly belonged to Tipperary, and hi} parents reside at Bansha- road, Tipperary. The school dress, all with Reformatory stamp, consists of Glengarry cap, black cloth tuaic, moleskin vest, corduroy trowsers, and Blucher boots, The Manager of the Reformatory will defray the expenses cf his conveyance, if arrested, to the nearest Justice, on remand, and will reward the persprj who may capture him with £ 1. 8th September, 1890. ?/ IA H. Description of the undernamed young offendor, who, fn the 5th September, 1830, absconded from the Philipstown Reformatory School, at King's County :— JOSEPH DOYLE, No. 1270, 17 years of age, 5 feet 4 inches high, medium mate, fresh complexion, brown hair, gray eye*, regular nose, ordinary mouth, oval visage; formerly belonged to carlow, parents dead; seven dots, cross, and letter " J " on left arm, scar on right temple. The school dress, all with Reformatory stamp, consists of Glengarry cap, corduroy tunic, moleskin vest, corduroy trowsers, and Blucher boots. The Manager of the Reformatory will defray the expenses of his convejance. if arrested, to the nearest Justioe, on remand, and will reward the person who may capture bim with £ 1. 8th September, 1890. Description of THOMAS TRAVERS ( mother's surname M'Loughlin), native of Gorvagh Glebe, who stands charged with having, on the 28th day of Angust, 1890, in the barony of Drumahaire, parish ol Killinummery, assaulted Catherine Hannon, thereby causing her life t > be in danger, and for whose arrest a Warrant is in tbe Lands of tV. t District Inspector at Drumahaire:— Small fair moustache, shaves rest of face ; hooked nose, fresh complexion, oval face, rather stout make, 5 feet 7 or 8 inches high, about 22 years of age, brown hair, cut short behind, but long on top of bead; wore a dark tweed coat, trowsera, and vest; ii a faroer's son, and a labourer. Description of JOSEPH HUGHES, native of Monty more, who is a person of weak mind, andsepaated from his mother and brother at Cookstown Junction on 2 ad instant, and has not since heen heard of. It is feared that he may have met with foul play:— Dark eyes, short nose, dark complexion, stout make, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 40 years of age, wants two front teeth upper jaw: wore a dark tweed coat, blue striped trowsers, dark brown vest. Description of JOHN LYNCH ( mother's surname Brien), native of Rea Roe, who stands charged with having, on the night of I8tb or morning of 19th August, 1890, in the barony of Iffa and Offa West, parish of Shanrahan, stolen one shesp and two lambs value for £ 3 10*., the property of his stepfather, Thomas Byrne, said sheep and lambs have been discovered:— Tatt oed on one of bis wrists, slightly bow- legged, brown eyes, slightly cocked nose, fresh complexion, ioind face, stout make, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 35 years of age, brown hair; wore a slouched soft hat, gray tweed coat, orduroy trowsers, gray tweed vest, sandy moustache, shaves all his face, slight scrofula on face. Will endeavour to cross to England or Scotland Where he had previously spent sometime. Information sworn an 1 Warrant in hand of Clogheen Constabu ary. Cahir, 29th August, 1890. ( 4456 c.— 80589). Description of PATRICK HOGAN, native of Ballykeveen, who stands charged with having, on the 15th August, 1890, at Toem, in the barony of Kil- namanftgh Upper, parish of ' Toem, unlawfully stabbed one Edmond Noonan in the breast with a knife, thereby placing his life in danger:— Gray eyes, rather cocked nose, pa'e complexion, thin face, smart make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 20 years of age, fair hair; wore a gray suit of clothes; is a labourer. Dundrum, 16th Augnst, 1890. ( 4170 80115.) Particulars relative to Convict PATRICK O'BRIEN, c 263, convisfed at Clonmel Assizes, county Tipperary, on 19th July, 1888, for the larceny of a pair of blankets, and sentenced to 5 years' penal servitude :— 26 years of age on conviction, single; is a labourer; born at Clonmel, where he resided before convicticn, and where bis friends reside ;— Dark brown hair, hazel eyes, dark brown eyebrows, medium nose, medium mouth, sallow complexion, oval visage, proportionate make, 5 hpt Sj inches high, cnt mark left side of bead and between left thnmb and forefinger, burn mark on left knee and shin. This man was released from Mountjoy Prison on 20th December, 1889, and went to reside at Clon- mel. He failed to report himself to the R. I. C there on the 2nd inst, he is suspected of having committed larceny, and his present whereabouts, is unknown. In the event of his arrest he should be dealt with under section 5 of 34 and 35 Vic., cap. 112. ( 331 H. C.) MARTIN MAHER ( cattle stealing), described in issue of 9th September, not arrested. Tyrone, Description of THOMAS HAMILTON, alias DONNELLY, native of Armagh, ALEXANDER HAWTHORNE, alias SAMUEL JAMES NEAL, native of Cookstown, WILLIAM M'KNIGHT, alias CURRY, alias M'WILLIAMS native of Armagh, who stand charged with having, on the night of 17th or morning of 18th August, 1890, in the baroay of Lower Strabane, parish of Urney, broken into the Roman Catholic Chapel, Melmount, and stolen there- from 1 silver chalice and 1 silver cros3 ( Sae Hue- and- Cry, dated 22nd August, 1890) ;— J. Large scar of burn on right shoulder and armpit, marks of King's evil under left ear and under chin; gray eyes, regular nose, fresh complexion, roun 1 face, stout make, 5 feet 8 inches high, about 20 years of age, brown hair; wore a gray cap, gray coat, gray trowsers, and black vest; is a labourer. 2. Scar on left temple; dark eyes, regular nose, dark complexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 5 inches high, about 19 years of age, dark hair; wore a black cap, long dark coat, dark trowsers ani vest; is a tailor. 3. Large dark eyes, regular nose, dark complexion, tlin face, slight make, 5 feet 8 inches high, abont 19 years of age, dark hair ; wore a black cap, black coat, dark trowsers and vest; is a labourer. Westmeath, Description of a MAN, name unknown, who stands charged with having, on the 16th day of September, 1890, in the barony of Demifore, parish of Faughals- town, stolen five bullocks, which have since been recovered:— Long nose, fresh complexion, thia face, slijht mi ke, 5 feet 7 inches higb, about 20 years of age, sandy hair; wore a gray tweed coat, trowears, and vfest. Particulars relative to Convict HUGH MUL- DOON, alias WILLIAM JOHN JACKSON, A 756, convicted at Trinity Sessions, Belfast, county Antrim, on the 10th July, 1833, for, larceny and a previous conviction for felony, an l sentenced, to 8 years' p nal servitude, and 5 years' police supervision:— 35 years of age on conviction, single, dealer; born at Omagh, resided before conviction at B- jIfa- t; dark " brown hair turning gray, hazel eyes, dark eyebrows, small nose, small mouth, sallow complexion, oval visage, medium make, 5 feet 5J inches high, lost right eye. This man was released from Mountj iy Prison on Licence, on 16th August, 1890, artd went to Bdrast. He left his lodgings in that city on 22nd July, ultimo, without notifying came to the police, and his present whereabouts is unknown. In the event of his arrest he should b » dealth with under 34 and 35 Vic., cap. 112, sec. 5. 15th September, 1880. ( 345 n c.) Particulars relative to Convict to mARY MACVICKER, B 165, convicted at Trinity Sessions, Castlebar, county Mayo, on 15th June, 18* 6, for larceny and former conviction, and sentenced to 5 years' penal servitude 40 years of age on conviction, married, is a dealer, prison trade— knitting and laundry, born at Rclscom- mon, resided before conviction at Swinford: — Gray hair, gray eyes, light eyebrows, medium nose, medium mouth, sallow completion, oval visage, stout make, 5 feet 3 inches high, cut mark over right eye. This woman was relea- ed on liconce, fiom Golden Bridge Refuse, on 14th October, 1889; she notified to the R. I. C. at Londonderry, on the 6th instant, that she was going to Newtowncunningham, but she has not reported herself there, and her present whereabbtfts is unknown. Wanted at King's Lynn, a man of the following description, for stealing, on the 9th instant, from the platform of the railway station, a brown leather hand- bag ( recovered) from which he abstracted a cheque, dated 7th or 8th September, 1890, for £ 20, on Coutts' and Co's., Bank, London, drawn by Francis Ridley in favour of R. O. Ridley, which was not endorsed, also about 20 blank cheques of Gurney and CO* JSJ; Bank, all numbered. " 19318 :— He gave the nameio?^ GRANT, which may be fictitious, aged about 28 years, 5 feet 10 or 11 inches high, fresh complexion, brown or light brown hair, small ginger moustache, spare build; dressed in black coat, gr^ y or miked I trowsers, black felt hat; gentlemanly appearance, and stated he waB a commercial. Police Office, King's Lynn, 13th September, 1890. ( 344 H. C.) Staffordshire. • Wanted for stealing money and bed- clothes:— MINA JURY, alias ADA LEMPERIE, alias M. L. SMITH, alias AGNES CALLAGHAN or CLARE, a Convict on licence, Convict office No. 88887, 53 years of age, 5 feet 5 inches high, fresh complexion, gray hair, hazel eyes, lost several teeth, scars on left lorearm, stays at common lodging- houses. She committed the theft at a common lodging- house in this borough. She is also wanted by the Metropolitan Police for failing to notify her change of residence. Particulars of HOUGHTON PARKINSON, whose apprehension is sought for embezzlement, native of Dewsbury, 30 years of age, 5 feet 4 inches high, dark complexion, dark brown hair, dark beard and moustache, walks lame and carries a stick in his right hand; by trade a painter, but has been employed as a painter's clerk; mixture suit, and black billy- cock hat. Wanted in this city on a Magistrate's Warrant, charged with embezzling several thousand pounds:— PETER cOUPER, of the firm of couper and Cook, acoountants, George- street, Edinburgh, 43 ) ears of age ( looks older), 5 feet 7 or 8 inches high, medium build proportionate, square shouldered, fresh com- plexion, pleasant looking, bright eyes, iron gray hair turning white, side whiskers and moustache, shaved on chin, generally dra sod well in dark suit and black felt hat, smart gentlemanly appearance, walks quickly, speaks Sootch accent. \ V ill likely endeavour to leave the country. I Police offioers are requested to make special search and inquiry at all outward- bound vessels, railway stations, hotels, boarding- houses, and other likely places, with the view of tracing and securirg tho arrest of this man. Accused absoonded on the 14th August last.
