Notices respecting all Felonies and such Misdemeanours as are of an aggravated natu re will be inserted. , * All Descriptions of persons whose apprehension is sought on a charge of Misdemeanour should be accompanied by a statement that a Warrant has been issued, and by the name of the person in whose hands it is. But the Constabulary should remember that they cannot arrest a person charged with an offence of this nature unless they have the Warrant in their possession when making the arrest. if, • » • Should irregularities arise in the delivery of the Hue- and- Cry,' it will be necessary to forward one of the covers, or give the number it bears, as without thia information the mistake cannot be rectified. Description of THOMAS M'CURLEY, ^ ativo of Ligoniel, who stands charged with haviog, on the 16tb day of November, 1889, in the barony of Upper Belfast, parish of Shankhill, assaulted Constable Francis O'Brien while in the execution of his duty :— Brown eyes, regular nosa, fresh complexion, round full face, very stout make, I feet 9 inches high, about 25 years of age, sandy hair; wore a black cap, dark coat, trowsers, and vest. Cabe :- - Very slight make, black moustache, hooked nose, thin features, rather good looking smart appearance, carried a stick, 5 feet 8 inches high, about 19 years of age; wore a soft black felt hat, dark clothes, red and black woollen gloves, purple muffler round his neck. COrk. * Description of DENIS MCCARTHY, native of Tallow, county Waterford, who stands charged with having, on the night off 15th December, 1889, in the barony of Orrery and Kilmore, parish of Aglishdrinagh, stolen two calves, the property of Patrick Hartley, which he sold for £ 12 15s., at the fair of Dromin, county Limerick, on 16th December, 1889:— Gray eyes, regular nose, fresh complexion, rather red thin face, medium make, 5 feet 7 or " 8 inches high, about 35 years of age, brown hair; wore a faded brown frock ccat, tweed or cord trowsers, and tweed vest; wears a watch in waistband of trowsers, under vest} is a labourer. Particulars relative to convict JAMES WILSON, A94, who has broken the conditions of his licence, convicted at Birr, King's County, on 8th October, 1879, for assault and robbing from the person aster conviction for felony, and sentenced to 12 years' penal servitude:— 50 years of age on osnviction, single, is a baker, born at Bandon, resided before con- viction fit Roscrea; gray hair, gray eyes, light brown eyebrows, thick nose, bridge fiat, large mouth, thick lips, ss/ llow complexion, oval visage, medium make, 5 feet inches high ; scar on ball of left thumb, and several on top of head, cupping mark on left breast, large wart on right elbow. Description of JOHN CONNOR, native of Athlone, who stands charged with having, on the 26th day of October, 1889, in the barony of Ballycowan, parish of Kilbride, stolen £ 3 from the hflise of John Molloy, of Ballydaly, where he was employed as a servant:— Slight halt, scarcely perceptible, in left foot; gray eyes, short thin nose, reddish complexion, small face, boyish looking, stoat make, 5 feet 2 or 3 inches high, about 24 years of age, brown hair, face all shaved exoept slight btown moustache; wore a two- peaked cap, brown tweed jacket, tweed trowsers with whitish stripes, and light tweed vest; is- employed as a ploughman and labourer by small farmers, and is in Roscommon Militia Information sworn and Warrant in hands of District Inspector at Tullamore. Description of PATRICK M'NALLY, native of Shanmullagh, and MICHAEL HIGGINS, of no fixed residence, who Ktand charged with having, on the 10th day of November, 1889, in the barony of Lbngford, parish of Cloonguish, stabbed Michael Quinn, thereby endangering his life :— 1. May have fresh cut- marks on his head and face dark eyes, thick nose, d irk complexion, long thin face, medium make, 5 feet 9 or 10 inches high, about 24 years of ago; is a stonemason. 2. Description of THOMAS M'MANUS ( mother's surname Griffin), nativo of Drumlish, who stands charged with having, on the 15th day of October, 1889, in the barony of Longford, parish of Killoe, stolen a cow, the property of James M'Nally, of Drumlish ( cow value for £ 11) :— Gray eyes, . regular nose, pale complexion, thin face, medium make, 5 feet 11 inches high, about 42 years of age, fair hair; wore a round black hat, white frieze coat, brown tweed trowsers and vest; is a farmer and cattle dealer. Description of ANDREW BREHENY ( mother's surname Kelly), native of Ballymote, who stands charged with having, on the 18th September, 1889, in the barony of Corran, parish of Emlaghfad, stoleu nine heifers, fire bullocks, and seven sheep, value for about £ 200, the property of his father, Michael Breheny, which he sold at Collooney Fair on 18th September, 1889, and decamped with the money :— Smart active make, full : T± j eyes, straight nose, fair complexion, long face, stout make, 5 feet 11 inches high, about 27 years of age; wore a soft hat, dark blue coat, dark trowsers and vest; is a farmer's son; served in Marines. Description of TERENCE M'CONNELL, native of Rathdrina, who stands charged with having, on the 25th day of November, 1889, in the barony of Lower Duleek, parish of Knockcommon, stolen a, cow, the property of Isabella Carpenter, which he is supposed to have sold at Collon fair, county Louth, on same date:— Slovenly gait, dark eyes, slightly cocked nose, dark sallow complexion, oval face, medium mike, 5 feet 9 inches high, about 23 years of age, black hair; wore a gray dust- coat, gray tweed trowsers and tweed vest. ' Description of JAMES TRAINOR. native' of Tydavnett, county Monaghan, who stands charged with having, on or about the 4th Decern'> er, 1889, in the barony of Cremorne, parish of Ballybay, ab- sconded from the employment of his master, John Johnston, tea dealer, of Ballybay, taking with him about 24 pounds of tea, intrusted to him by his master for delivery to purchasers, and about £ 12 in cash re- ceived by him for his master :— Round shoulders, shuffling gait, flat feet; blue eyas, regular nose, sallow complexion, regular face, medium make, 5 feet high, about 32 years of age, fair hair; wore a dark coat, tweed trowsers and vest, small fair moustache, no beard or whiskers; is a pastry cook or baker. This man was sent out by his master on the 25th Novem- ber last with a pony and trap to deliver tea to customers in and around Arva, county Cavan, and on the 4th instant he left the pony and trap at the house of a man named James Gormly, of Carnadrung, near Arva, county Cavan, saying he would be back next day, but did not return. Description of JAMES DUFFY ( mother's sur- name Kirk), native of Carrickmacross, who stands charged with having, on the 3rd December, 1889, in the barony of Farney, parish of Carrickmacross, assaulted Constable James Harte, R. I. Constabu- lary:— Tattooed on both arms, gray eyes, regular nose, fresh complexion, round full face, stout make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 24 years of age, brown hair ; wore a tweed cap with peak, dark brown coat, tweed trowsers and vest; served in the Army, from which he has been discharged. He was summoned to Petty Sessions to answer the charge; he did not attend, and a Warrant has bean issued for his arrest. Carrickmacross, 8th Dec., 1889. ( 99992 c.-— 71862.) escriptlon ' of JOHN HOPKINS, native of Thurles, who stands charged with having, on the 10th February, 1888, in the town of Cappoquin, got married to a woman named Judith Cormack, his lawful wife being alive at the time:— Blind of an eye, one foot flat result of an injury, was in the array, dark complexion, medium make, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 50 years of age, dark hair, reddish whiskers; is a tramp and gathers rags in south and west of Ireland. Is accompanied by Judith Cormack, who is also blind of an eye and ol small stature. If observed, informa- tion should be at once sent to the D. I. at Nenagh. Nenagh, 83rd November, 1889. X Description of MICHAEL MOLONEY, alias MICHAEL M'MAHON, alias JOHN BYRNE, alius MICHAEL WHITE, native of Feakle, county Clare, who stands charged on suspicion! with having, on the night of 20th October, 1889, at Gurtlassobrien, ' in the barony of Owney and Arra, parish ci Temple- chally, stolen three head of cattle, the property of Hugh Garahee :— Gray eyes, regular nose, fresh com- plexion, 5 feet 4 inches high, about 46 years of age, brown hair, turning gray ; is a stonecutter, bnt latterly acts as a cattle driver, and attends fairs. X Description o « EDMOND CROWE, native of Cutteen, who n'ands charged with having, on the night of 22nd or morning of 23rd October 1839, in the barony of Clanwilliam, parish of Sologheadbeg, stolen four calves ( since recovered), the property of Thomas Crowe, which he sold in fair ot Newport, county Tipperary, on 23rd October, 1889:— Smart active appearance, respectable looking, dresses very tastily, gray ey « s, straight nose, fresh complexion, oval face, smart make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 22 years of age, dark hair; wore a light- coloured overcoat, light tweed trowsers, and vest; has the appearance of a jockey; is a farmer's son. ( 99273 c— 70522.) £ Description of JOHN COFFEY, native of Gurt- mullen, who stands charged with having, on the 5th July, 1889, at Gurtmullen, in the barony of Ikerrin, parish of Roscrea, indecently assaulted one Maggie Coonan, and having been admitted to bail failed to appear at nenagh Quarter Sessions, on 2nd October, 1889:— Grey eyes, regular nose, swarthy complexion, thin face, stout make, 5 feet 5 inches high, about 20 years of age; wore a dark tweed coat, trowsers, and vest; is a labourer. A Warrant has been issued for his arrest. Roscrea, 13th October, 1889. ( 97338 c— 69941.) Description of PATRICK GLEESON, native of Mohir, who stands charged With having, on the 2Sth June, 1889, in the barony of Kilmanagh Upper, parish of Upperchurch, seriously assaulted James Corbitt and Michael Quinn, from tbe effects of which Corbitt's life is now in danger. He was bailed for trial and has absconded:— Gray eyes, regular nose, fresh complexion, soft round face, stout make, 6 feet high, about 22 year* of age, brown hair; wore a large soft hat, gray twee$ l coat, troweew, and vest; is a farmer's son. Particulars relative to convict JOHN SULLIVAN, a 841, convicted at Cork Spring Assizes, on 20th March, 1884, for wounding and grievous bodily harm, and sentenced to 7 years' penal servitude:— 32 years of age on conviction, married, is a labourer; born at Cork; resided befoieconviction atFox's- street, Bandon, . where his friends reside; brown hair, getting bald, brown eyes, dark brown eyebrows, large nose, large month, dark complexion, oval visage, stout make; . 6 feet i inch high ; crucifix on left arm; eagle, flag, i anchor, and tomb of Napoleon on right arm; English of arms, lion, unicorn, and crown on4> reast. This man was released from Mountjoy Prison on licence, 27th September, 1889. He notified his arrival in Cork to the R. I. C. on the 3rd nit, and gave his address as Barrack- street, but he has not since reported himself, and his present whereabouts is unknown. NEVILLE, photo- grapher, Owston Ferry, who stands charged on Warrant with ha vino-, on tbe 29th day of November, 1889, at the parish of Owston Ferry, feloniously stolen one quarter plate lens with double combination glass enclosed in brass tube, and ore flange. The lens baars the initials of Ross and Co., Opticians, London ; the property of George Day ; value £' 2:— He is about 24 years of age, 5 feet 6 or 7 inches high, pale complexion, brown hair, no whiskers or moustache, slim build; dressed in double- breasted black cloth jacket, black vest, striped cloth trowsers, collar and light tie, gray hard felt hat, red socks, and lace- up boots recently soled and heeled. , Neville has a wife or sister residing with Mr. Goodman, 50, St. Mary- street, Southampton. Wanted on Warrant, charged with stealing £ 1,314, the property of bis employers, the Crawford Spinning Company ( Limited), Rochdale:— JAMES COUPE, manufacturer's salesman, living last at 62, Bank- Btreet, Cheetham- hill, Manchester. He formerly lived at 7, Bennett- street, Crumpsall; he was also at one time in business at Todmerden, Yorkshire, as a sizer and warper; a native of Preston ; about 48 years of age, at out 5 feet 9 inches high, very busby light sandy hair, parted in the middle, had light coloured whiskers, moustache, and eyebrows, light coloured eyes, rather deep sunk; a lowish forehead. This man's defalca- tions are very heavy, a charge of forgery will also be preferred against him by the Manchester City Police. He will endeavour to leave the country.
