Formerly belonged to 56, Beresford- street, Dublin ; father dead mother lived at said place when boy was ad. ni. tted. The School dress, all with Reformatory consists of soft bat, corduroy trowsers, - vest Will probably change his clothes and work with a farmer. Description of PATRICK DYNES ( mother's surname Moroney), native of Limerick City, who stands charged with having, on the morning of the 22nd February, 1889, in the borough ol Limerick, parish o « St. Mary's, unlawfully and burglariously entered the dwelling house and store of Stephen Tubridy, of Athlunkard- street, in this city, and stolen therefrom the sum of about 1 St.:— Gray or blue eyes, regular nose, fresh complexion, regular face, medium make, 5 feet 6 or 7 inches high, about 32 years of age, brown hair; wore a round hard hat, brown tweed coat and vest, much worn, old navy blue trowsers, bad old highlow boots. C. Dobbs, which were stolen from his farms at Kncckgreau and Knocknacrohy, county Limerick, on 4th September and 26th November, 18S8 :— Ill- looking, speaks rather loud and partly through hi-< nose ; rather long noae, fair complexion, oval faca, medium make, 5 feet 8 inches high, about 35 yearj of aire, brown hair; wore a bluish coat, gray tweet trowsers and vest; is a farmer. Louth, Description ei RALPH MANLY alias GORE, " ge ot England, who stands charged with having, llth day February, 1889, in tbe barony of Jk, parish of Dundalk, committed forgery and nd by presenting a forged chequato a trader in dundalk, and obtaining the sum of £ 28 10s. thereon:— Tattooed cross swords and O. M. C. or G. on left fore- arm, hazel eyes, regular nose, sallow complexion, thin face, slight make, 5 feet 9£ inches high, about 25 years of age, brown hair; wore rogimentala, but will probably dress in plain clothes ; is a private in Royal Scots Greys. Description of WILLIAM BYRNE, native of Duncummin, who stands charged with hsving, on the 12th of February, 1889, in the barony of Clanwilliam, parish of Tipperary. had threo stolen calves in his possession, knowing them to be stolen. The calves are the property of Mrs. E. Description of PATRICK DOCKERY, native of Ardkeena, who stands charged with having, on various dates in December, 1888, and January, 1889, in the barony of Roscommon, parish of Ogulla, feloniously stolen certain letters and packages, the property of the Postmaster- General:— Has high, rather round, shoulders, gray eyes, long nose, pale complexion, long face, medium make, 5 feet 11 inches high, about 25 years of age, dark hair; generally wears a tweed cap ; wore a bright tweed coat, trowsers, and ve3t; is a Post Office messenger. Description of MICHAEL KIVEL ( supposed fictitious), native place unknown, who stands charged with having, on the 16th March, 1889, in the barony of Corran, parish of Kilturra, stolen an ass, the property of William Shaw, which has since been recovered:— Smart, active appcarance, wore all his beard which is dark brown, moustache shaved off, regular nose, sallow complexion, round broad face, stout make, 5 feet 7 or 8 inches high, about 35 years of ago, dark brown hair ; wore a dark hard hat, brown tweed coat ( much worn), corduroy trowsers, patches on the knees, and tied under the knees with a string ; wore clogs, and a coloured cotton shirt without collar or neck- tie ; looks like a labourer. Description of JOHN M'CORMICK ( mother's surname, Sweeny, native of Toorlestraun, who stands charged with having, on the 13th February, 1889, in the barony of Leyrey, parish of Achonry, at Tubbercurry, assaulted Thomas Gallagher, so as to endanger his life :— Left leg appears stiff, when walking, drags it slightly, got a black eyo in fight, small mark still remains; gray eyes, regular nose, fair rather pale complexion, rather long faco, medium make, 5 fe. it 8 or 9 inches high, about 22 years of age, dark fair hair; woro u black hard hat, dark sack coat, dark tweed trowsers and vest; is a labourer. Tubbercurry, 27ih Feb., 1889. ( 94792 c.— 62192.) Tipperary. Description of JOHN NOLAN, native of Birdhill, Tipperary, who stands charged with having, on the 7th day of March, 1889, in the barony of Clanwilliam, parish of Tipperary, unlawfully and feloniously em- bezzled a^ d convertod to his o wn uie the sum of £ 3 11*. 6d., the property of the Waterford and Limerick Railway Company, while acting in his capacity of clerk in the Company's goods store, Tip- prary:— Ill- looking, knock- kneed, and high cheek- bones, haze eyes, long nose, pale complexion, thin face slight nnke, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 27 years of Rip', dark hair; wore a hard roun I hat black serge coat, brown striped trowsers, black serge vest; wore a white necktie, and darl waterproof coat with cape ; is a c'ork in goods store. Warrant in hands of the District In- spector, at Tipperary. Tipperary, 2cd April, 1889. ( 95376 c._ 63265.) Description of MICHAEL TOBIN, native of Shrough, near Tipperary, who stands charged with having, on the night of 17th or morning of 18th January, 1889, in the barony of Clanwilliam, parish of Ballybrood, feloniously stolen and taken away six bullocks, the property of Mrs. S. E. Gabbett, from Tyrone. Description of HUGH PARKER, native place unknown, who stands charged with having, on the 23rd of April, 1889, in the barony of Middle Dun- gannon, parish of Clonfeacle, stolen from the dwelling- house of James Belshaw one gray tweed vest, one pair of woollen drawers, and ono pair of socks, value for twelve shillings, at Benburb, county Tyrone:— Smart active appearance ; shaves all the face, except moustache, which is dark- brown; blue eyes, regular nose, dark complexion, thin face, s ight make, 5 feet 6 or 7 inches high, about 35 years of age, looks younger, dark- brown hair; wore a black one- peaked cap, blue tweed coat, gray tweed trowsers and vest; employed in a linen factory. This man is a tramp; will likely be found in linen or flax mills. Warrant for his arrest is in hands of Royal Irish Constabulary at Benburb. Aughnacloy, 26th April, 1889. ( 95790 c— 64056.) Waterford. Description of a MAN, name and native place unknown, who calls himself REV. FATHER GEOFFENYE, who stands charged with having, on the 30th day of March, 1889, in tha barony of Waterford borough, parish of St. John's, feloniously stolen several articles of wearing apparel, the property of the Community of the Little Sisters of the Poor, and also with" having obtained money by false pretences :— Mark of old cut on left cheek; dark eyes, large nose, dark complexion, regular face, medium make, 5 feet 6 inches inches higb, about 50 years of age, dark hair; wore a round hard hat, long black coat, black trowsers an « l vest ( clerical costume), sometimes wears a priest's collar; carries a large cross inside coat; is a clerical impostor. Warrant for his arrest is in the hands of the District Inspector at Waterford. Waterford, 6th April, 1889. ( 95471 c.— 63436). Description of JEREMIAH O'NEILL, native of Mallow, county Cork, who stands charged with having, on the let day of March, 18b9, in the barony of Cosh- more and Coshbride, parish of Lismore, stolen a mare, the property of Francis Taaffe, esq., out of hi « stable- yard at Fortwilliam, county Waterford :— Very slight limp, and a very marled lisp when speaking; blue eyes, regular noie, « andy complexion, clear- shaved face, stout make, 5 feet 7 inches high, ab > ut 25 or 26 years of age; is a groom. Description of JAMES COUGHLAN, native of Athlone, who stands charged with having, on the 2n) April, 1889, in tho barony of Brawney, parish of Saint Mary's, indecently assaulted Margaret Reilly of Ballymahon, county Longford, with the intent to commit a rape upon her:— Military bearing, smart active apearance, shaves all his facj. except a small fair moustache; blue eyes, regular nose, fresh com- plexion, round face, medium make, 5 feet 10 or 11 inches high, about or 30 years of age, fair hair inclined to yellow ; wore a round hard black hat, grey tweed coat, trowsers, and vest; is a journeyman ca- penter. Description of a MAN, name and native place unknown, who stands charge! with having, on the 25th March, 1889, in the barony of Talbotstown Lower, parish ol Boystown, stolen a mare ( which has been recovered), the property of Michael Miley, which he sold in Wicklow far, on 26th March, 1839:— Stands erect, brown side whiskers turning gray, chin and upper- lip shaved, sallow complexion, medium make, 5 feet 6 or 7 inches high, absut 40 or 45 years of age; wore a round hard t at, faded tweed coat, corJuroy trowsers, tweed vest; appears to be ex- soldier and tramp. ( 95327c — 33191.) dublin METROPOLITAN POLICE, % Particulars relative to convict JOHN KELLY, otherwise MURPHY, A 97*, convited at Wexford Sprirg Assizes, on 18th March, 1885—( 1) larceny after conviction for felony; ( 2) housebreaking; and sentenced—( 1) 5 years' penal servitude ; ( 2) 5 years' penal servitude, concurrent:— 38 years of age on con- viction, single, is a tailor; born at Edende - ry ; resided befoie conviction at Wexford; brown hair, brown eye3, light brown eyebrows, large nose, large mouth, fresh complexion, cval face, medium make, 5 feet 3 inches high } varicose vyins in right leg; right fore- finger has beon broken; hollow in right choek naar chin. This man was released from Mountjoy Prison on licence, the 4th instant, and htated ho was going to resid) in Dublin. He reported to the Metropolitan Police that he would notify his place of residence when he obtained lodgings, but he has not done so, and his present whereabouts is unknown. In the event of his arrest he should be dealt with under sec. 5 of the Aot 34 and 35 Vic., cap. 112. ( 2 > 2 H. C.) ' Description of a man who gave tho name of JOSEPH B. LYNAM, of the firm of Balman, Bros., New York, wanted here on Warrafit, for obtaining on the 12th inst., by false pretences, tbe sum of £ 150, from an office in this city:— He is about 40 years ot age, 5 feet 7 or 8 inches high, stout make, broad shoulders, thick neck, dark hair, face shaved except moustache, which'is slightly gray, sallow complexion, gentlemanly appearance ; dressed in black cloth dress cost, clerical pattern, and hard black jerry hat. The above Reward will be paid to any one giving information leading to his arrest and conviction on application to Superintendent WILLIAM REDDY, Exchange- court, to whom any information concerning him should be sent. COLLIER, wanted here on Warrant for obtaining goods 8nd money by means of bogus cheques, purporting to be on the London Colonial Bank, 36, Lombard street, E. C., which is fictitious :— He is about 35 years old, 5 feet 10 or 11 inches high, medium make, fair hair and complexion, shaved face, except small fair moustache, right arm contracted at. elbow, in consequence of which he las to hold the pen between bis middle fingers when writing; he speaks English and French fluently. He may be found wearing a gold English lever watch, No. 10058, and a gold Albert chain, long and short link pattern, and gold seal attached. Convict PATRICK NOLAN, A 99, not arrested ; Hue- fcnd- Cry, 12th March, 1S89. ( 230 H c.) ENGLISH POLICE. Derbyshire. AMENDED INFORMATION. Wanted on Warrant, charged with stealing three bullockp, value £ 35, from a field at Aston- on- Trent, in this county, at 7 30 a. m., 19th inpt., tho property of Mr. Joseph Turner. The bullocks have baon recovered. By a farm labourer named Benjamin Hibbert; he is of the following description, viz.:— Twenty years of age, 5 feet 11 inches high, fresh complexion, black hair, roundish face, no whiskers or moustache. Is rather round- shouldered, long neck, prominent throat ( Adam's apple), all his toes are contracted, and be walks heavily on his heels, leans forward and goes with a slouching gait, one leg slightly bowed. Was dressed, black hard folt hat, new blue- black overcoat, brown check mixture tweed suit, rather worn, light lace- up boots. This man booked by the 3 20 p. m. train on 19th inst., from Derby to Holyhead, and from Holyhead to Dublin, and on the 20th from Dublin to Queenstown. It is thought he intends going to America, but he cannot be traced arriving at Queenstown, and it is now conjectured that he may have broken his journey en route to the latter place and commenced drinking. Please cause every possible enquiry to be made, pnd if found, arrest, and wire to the Deputy Chief Constable, as below, when an officer will be sent for him and pay expenses. Liverpool. ^^ Wanted by Warrant for obtaining 6 gold chains ^^ Ry falso pretences on tho 21st February last ^^ RICHARD WOODROOFE, a watchmaker, 40 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, stout build, ruddy complexion, reddish lmir, full whiskers, slight moustache, is pock pitted, was drossed in a brownish tweed suit and billy- cock hit. Has bad a number of watch clubs in Great Britain and Ireland. May bo accompanied by his sister, 30 years of age, 6 feot 6 inches high, very 9tout, red hair, and walks erect. Information sworn. Information to Chief Superintendent, Detective Department, Liverpool. 15th March, 1889. ( 235 n. c.) Information requested as to t1 e whereabouts of licence- holder THOMAS DELANY alias WILSON, released from Her Majesty's Convict Prison, Mountjoy, on tho 13th instant, on licence to this city, for tho purpose of emigrating to America, but who refused to proceed in the vessel, end his whereabouts are unknown siBce the 16th instant:— He is a shoemaker, native of Tip- perary, 49 yeara of age, 5 feet 2J inchos high, brown hair, bluo eyes, stout build, fresh complexion, oval features, largo cut scar on outside corner of light eye, cut on right wrist, wart near corner of right eye, some- what deaf, and lost an upper front tooth. He was convicted at Birr, King's County, 8th October, 1879, of burglary, after previous conviction, and sentenced to 10 je irb' penal servitude. Information to tho Chief Superintendent, Detective Department, Liverpool, 26th February, 1889. ( 229 H. C.) Wanted, for neglecting to notify" leaving the district on or about tho 1st instant, as required by tho Preven- tion of Crimes Act, 1871 :— RICHARD DAVIES, a native of Hinstock, Shropshire, 51 years of age, 5 feet 10 inches high, dark hair, gray oyes, fresh com- plexion, mole on loft cheek, and scar on left temple. Convictcd at Liverpool Assizes, 8th M « y, 1884, ol perjury ( committed at tho Liverpool County Court), and sentenced to 5 years' penal servitude, but released on licence, 12th May Inst Since that time he has carried on business as a furniture dealer, & c., at 208, Walton- road, in this city, and obtained quantities of goods from different firms in various parts of the country on credit, most of which were disposed of by auction soon after their receipt for what they would realize. He is likely to commence a similar business in somo other town. Kindly cause careful inquiry to be made, and, if found, arrest and tolegrnph or com municate any information you may bo able to obtain as early as possible to the Chief Superintendent.
