All Notices intended for insertion* in the Hue- and- Ory are to be transmitted nnder cover, addressed to the Inspector- General, Royal Irish Constabulary, • Dublin Castle, authenticated by a Separate Communication. No Description can be inserted unless an Information shall have been Sworn; but it is not necessary to forward the Informations to the Inspector- General. Notices respecting all Felonies and such Misdemeanours as are of an aggravated nature will be inserted. y All Descriptions of persons whose apprehension is sought on a charge of Misdemeanour should be accompanied by a statement that a Warrant has been issued, and by the name of the person in whose hands it is. But the Constabulary should remember that they cannot arrest a person charged with an offence of this nature unless they have the Warrant in their possession when making the arrest. %• Should irregularities arise in the delivery of the Hue- and- Cry, it will be necessary to forward one of the covers, or give the number it bears, as without this Information the mistake cannot be rectified. Prison and- Police Authorities are particularly requested to be good enough to inform the Inspector- General, Royal Irish Constabulary, Dublin Castle, of the abolition of Gaols, Stations, < tc., and of any circumstances rendering the supply of the " Hue- and- Cry " no longer necessary. Apprehensions/ APPREHENSIONS SOUGHT. ROYAL IRISH CONSTABULARY, Antrim. Description of a MAN, name and native place unknown, who stands charged with having, on the 24th January, 1889, in the barony of Lower Toome, parish of Ballymena, obtained money by false pretences and forgery:— Full ( white yellowish) eyes, straight nose, very swarthy complexion, full face, stout make, 6 feet 10 inches high, about 45 years of age, dark hair, tinged with gray ; wore a round hard hat, gray tweed Norfolk jacket, trowsers and vest, to match ; has been in America; is a good talker; pretends he is a military man namod Major Rhodes, and has served on the Staff in Egypt j is a swindler. A Warrant is in the hands of the District Inspector at Ballymena for his arrest. Ballymena, 9th Feb., 1889. ( 94411 c.— 61472.) ROBERT SWIFT, larceny of clothes, not arrested; Hue- and- Cry, 14th December, 1888. ( 93317 c.— 59413.) Armagh. Description of PATRICK LENNON, native o* Cladybeg, who stands charged with having, on the 22nd day of March, 1889, in the barony of Lowerfews, parish of Kilclooney, murdered his father, Arthur Lennon j— Two front teeth broken, supposed in upper jaw, dark eyes, regular nose, sallow complexion, round clean- shaved face, stout make, 5 feet 8 inches high, about 45 years of age, dark hair; wore a dark felt hat, dark tweed coat, moleskin trowsers, dark tweed vest; is a farmar's son. He will likely try to escape to England or Scotland. Portadown, 24 th March, 1889. ( 95204 62988.) Carlow. Description of JOHN FISHER, native of Germany, who stands charged with having, on the 8th March, 1889, at Carlow, in the barony of Carlow, parish of Carlow, stolen a silver lever watch ( the watch has been recovered), the property of William Vass, of Carlow:— Has boils or sores on back of neck, flushed face, stout make, 5 feet 5 inches high, about 40 years of age; wore a two- peaked cap of gray tweed, dark coat, trowsers and vest; the face is shaved, except moustache, which is dark. Generally carries a re- volver. Fisher is a tramping German, who states he is an expert at watchmaking; also calls on clergymen to tane organs. Carlow, 12th March, 1889. ( 95009 c 62607.) ( avail. Description of FRANCIS QUINN, ( mother's surname, Doogan), native of Smear, county Longford, who stands charged with having, on the 25th January, 1889, in the barony of Tullyhunco, parish of Killa- shandra, dangerously assaulted Patrick Reilly, of Drumhaldry, county Longford, and who escaped from the Police Escort on the 5th February, 1889, at Cornea, county Cavan, while being conveyed to Petty Sessions:— Brown eyes, long nose, dark complexion, long face, medium make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 18 years of age, dark hair; wore a round hat, check tweed coat, trowsers, and vest; is a farmer's son. Killeshandra, 7th Feb., 1889. ( 94247 a— 61429.) Cork. Description of a TINKER, WIFE, and DAUGHTER, names and native places unknown, who stand charged with having, on the 7th March, 1889, in the barony of West Muskerry, parish of Inchigeela, stolen £ 14 10s. from the house of one John Ring, where they lodged the previous night:— 1. Slightly lame of left leg, cocked nose, dark complexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 5 inches high, about 50 years of age, dark curly hair; wore an old brown overcoat, plaid trowsers; is a tinker. 2. Brown eyes, sallow complexion, long face, stout make, 5 feet 5 inches high, about 50 years of age, black hair; wore a navy blue dress, old hooded cloak ; is wife of above. 3. Rather cocked nose, fair complexion, ronnd face, medium make, 5 feet 4 inches high, about 22 years of age, fair hair; wore a brown dress and brown striped shawl; is daughter of above. A Warrant has been issued for their arrest. Macroom, 12th March, 1889. ( 95011 c.— 62610.) Description ot JAMES MEADE, native of Bally- longane, who stands charged with having, on the 23rd January, 1889, in the barony of Imokilly, parish of Cloyne, indecently assaulted a girl named Ellen Quirk, aged 10 years:— Gray eyes, regular nose, fair com- plexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 2 inches high, about 17 years of age, fair hair; wore a gray tweed coat, trowsers, and vest; is a farm labourer. A Warrant in hands of Constabulary at Cloyne for his arrest. Midleton, 30th January, 1889. ( 94265 c.— 70120.) Donegal. Description of ANTHONY M'CLAFFERTY ( mother's surname Coyle), native of Glenerragh, who stands charged with having, on the 14th January, 1889, at Glenerragh, in the barony of Kilmacrenan, parish of Meevagh, forcibly rescued a prisoner from lawful custody who was arrested for being drunk and disorderly:— Upper front teeth prominent, no whiskers, beard, or moustache, dark eyes, regular nose, pale sallow complexion, round full face, stout make, 5 feet 9 inches high, about 22 years of age, dark hair; wore a dark tweed cap, tweed coat, dark tweed trowsers tweed vest; is a labourer. He was in America. Re- turned from Scotland on 1st December, 1888, it is likely that he has gone there. The Sergeant, R. I. O., at Glen, holds a Warrant for liis arrest Dunfanaghy, 29th Jan, 1889. Description of JOHN SLEVIN, native of Donegal Town, who stands charged with having, on the 9th December, 1888, in the barony of Tyrhugh, parish of Donegal, assaulted Constable William H. Carton, when in the execution of his duty, and escaped from custody:— Broad square shoulders, thick heavy black eyebrows, and moustache, dark eyes, regular nose, dark complexion, long face, stout make, 5 feet 5 inches high, about 30 years of age, black hair; wore a black cap, dark coat, trowsers, and vest; is a navvy, looks like a coal- porter. ( 94017 c.— 60640.) Fermanagh. Description of JOHN MONAGHAN, native of Dromore, county Tyrone, who stands charged with having, on the 21st February, 1889, in the barony of Lurg, parish of Magheraculmoney, attempted to commit a rape on Anna Wamsby, a married woman, 55 years of age:— Gray eyes, regular nose, fair complexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 27 years of age, fair hair; wore a gray tweed coat, trowsers and vest; is a shoemaker. Has resided for the last two years near Ederney, county Fermanagh. Has been living a considerable time in England and Scotland ; to either country it is believed he has absconded. Description of JOHN LYONS, native of Coraghan, who stands charged with having, on the 2lst day of February, 1889, in the barony of Dunmore, parish of Dunmore, seriously assaulted Patrick Deskin, hy striking him on the head with a stick, thereby placing his life in danger;— Brown eyes, long nose, sallow complexion, thin face, medium make, 5 feet inchea high, about 52 years of age, brown hair, slightly tinged with gray; wore a low black hard hat, dark frieze coit, dark tweed trowsers and vest; is a farmer. Description of BERNARD ROGERS, native of Magheramore, and MARY ANNE ROGERS ( mother's surname M'Daid), native of Magheramore, who stand charged with having, on the 4th March, 18g9, in the barony of Coleraine, parish of Desertghill, assaulted John M'Donald, r special bailiff, in the execution of his duty, and did) by force and violence, rescue twe cows and a horse ® e had seized under a Civil Bill Decree:— 1. Dark eyes, regular nose, dark complexion, thi# face, slight make, 5 feet 64 inches high, about 28 years of age, black hair, turning gray; wore a soft hat, dark tweed coat, trowsers, and vest; is a farmer. A Warrant is in the hands of the Sergeant, Royal Irish- Constabulary, at Garvagh, for his arrest. 2. Gray eyes, regular nose, dark complexion, thin sharp face, slight make, 4 feet 10 inches high, about 30 years of age, dark hair; wore a black hat; is wife to No. 1. Description of ALEXANDER M'GREGOR ( mother's surname, Marrs), native of Coleraine, who stands charged with having, on the 4th day of February, 1889, in the barony of Coleraine, parish of Coleraine, unlawfully and indecently assaulted oae Rebecca M'Fadden:— Walks with a swaggering gait, deep wrinkles in forehead, dark eyes, cocked nose, sallow complexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet high, about 19 or 20 years of age, dark hair; wore a soft felt hat, which he left behind him, old gray tweed coat, dark tweed trowsers, and vast; is a labourer. Information has been sworn and a Warrant is in the hands of the District Inspector, Royal Irish Constabu- lary at Coleraine. Coleraine, 5th February, 1889. ( 94368 c.— 61373.) Description ol RALPH MANLY alias GORE, native of England, who stands charged with having, on the llth day February, 1889, in the barony of Dundalk, parish of Dundalk, committed forgery and fraud by presenting a forged cheque te a trader in Dundalk, and obtaining the sum of £ 28 10*. thereon:— Tattooed cross swords and O. M. C. or G. on left fore- arm, hazel eyes, regular nose, sallow complexion, thin face, slight make, 5 feat 9^ inches high, about 25 years of age, brown hair; wore regimentals, but will probably dress in plain clothes; is a private in Royal Scots Greys. Description of a MAN, name unknown, and native place supposed to be Dublin, who stands charged with having, on the 17th January, 1889, in the barony of Lower Duleek, parish of Knockcommon, stolen four head of cattle, the property of Mary Sampson, of Rathdrina:— Shaves all the face and wore a fairish moustache, pale complexion, worn face, medium make, 5 feet inches high, about 40 years of age. ( 91722 c.— 56863.) stolen certain letters and packages, the property of the Postmaster- General Has high, rather ^ cmd, shoulders, gray eyes, long nose, pale complexiofeflong face, medium make, 5 feet 11 inches high, abont ' i& years of age, dark hair; generally wears a tweed cap ; wore a bright tweed coat, trowsers, and vest; is a Post Office messenger. Description of MICHAEL KIVEL ( supposed fictitious), native place unknown, who stands charged with having, on the 16th March, 1889, in the barony of Corran, parish of Kilturra, stolen an ass, the property of William Shaw, which has since been recovered:— Smart, active appearance, wore all his beard which is dark brown, moustache shaved off, regular nose, sallow complexion, round broad face, stout make, 5 feet 7 or 8 inches high, about 35 year^ of age, dark brown hair ; wore a daif hard hat, brown tweed coat ( much worn), corduroy trowsers, patches on the knees, and tied under the knees with a string; wore clogf, and a coloured cotton shirt without collar or neck- tie ; look like a labourer. Description of JOHN M'CORMICK ( mother's surname, Sweeny, native of Toorlestraun, who stands charged with having, on the 13th February, 1889, in the barony of Leyney, parish of Achonry, at Tubbercurry, assaulted Thomas Gallagher, so as te eadanger his life ;— Left leg appears stiff, whan walking, drags it slightly, got a black eye in fight, small mark still remains; gray eyes, regular nose, fair rather pale complexion, rather long face, medium make, 5 feet 8 or 9 inches high, about 22 years of age, dark fair hair; wore a black hard hat, dark sack coat, dark tweed trowsers and vest; is a labourer. Description of MICHAEL TOBIN, native of Shrough, near Tipperary, who stands charged with having, on the night of 17th or morning of 18th January, 1889, in the barony of Clanwilliam, parish of Ballybrood, feloniously stolen and taken away six bullocks, the property of Mrs. S. E. Gabbett, from her farm at Mountminnett, county Limerick, and that he had the same unlawfully in his possession :— Dark eyebrows and moustache, dark beard and whiskers cut short, regular nose, dark complexion, regular face, slight make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 35 years of age, dark hair ; wore a soft dark hat, dark clothes ; is a cattle jobber, He deals in ponies and Kerry cattle, and frequents fairs in the west of Ireland. Description of WILLIAM BYRNE, native of Duncummin, who stands charged with having, on the 12th of February, 1889, in the barony of Clanwilliam, parish of Tipperary, had thre. stolen calves in his possession, knowing them to be stolen. The calves are the property cf Mrs. E. Gabbett, Mountminnitt, county limerick:— Freckled face, small eyes, swarthy complexion, thin face, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 17 or 18 years of age, dark hair; wore a bright tweed coat, corduroy trowsers; is a labourer. Description of JOHN WRIGHT ( mother's surname Rush), native of Tattykeel, who left his home, in tho barony of East Omagh, parish of Cappagh, on the 23rd February, 1889, and it is suspected he has me* with foul play :— Mark on pupil of right eye, which renders him blind, blue eyes, regular nose, fair com- plexion, regular face, medium make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 20 years of age, brown hair; wore a two- peaked cap, light tweed coat, trows. rs and vest, suit all one kind of cloth; is a labourer. Description of a MAN, name and native placf on known, who stands Charged with having, on the morning of 6th February, 1889, in the barony of Troughenackmy, parish of Tralee, stolen two heifers the property of Denis Barrett, of Tralee ( the cattle have been reentered):— Fair complexion, round face, medium make,' feet 8 inches high, about 22 years of agef brown hair, small brown moustache; wore a black hard hat, dark gray sack coat, snuff colour trowsers. Descript ion of the undernamed young offender, who, on the 26th March, 1889, absconded from the St. Conleth's Reformatory School at Philipstown :— THOMAS SHERLOCK, No. 1073, betwden 18 and 19 years of age, abont 5 feet 7 inches high, slight make, pale complexion, weak sight, dark brown hair, hrown eyes, long nose, small mouth, oval visage ; 2 middle toes on right foot stuck together. Formerly belonged to 56, Beresford- street, Dublin; father dead ; mother lived at said place when boy was admitted. The School dress, all with Reformatory Stamp, consists of soft hat, corduroy trowsers, vest and tunic. Will probably change his clothes and try to get work with a farmer. The Manager of the Reformatory will defray the expenses of his conveyance, if arrested, to the nearest Justice, on remand, and will reward the person who may capture him with £ 1. Limerick. Description of PATRICK HYNES ( mother's surname Moroney), native of Limerick City, who stands charged with having, on the morning of the 22nd February, 1889, in the borough of Limerick, parish ot St. Mary's, unlawfully and burglariously entered the dwelling honse and store of Stephen Tubridy, of Athlunkard- street, in this city, and stolen therefrom the sum of about 15*.:— Gray or blue eyes, regular nose, fresh complexion, regular face, medium make, 5 feet 6 or 7 inches high, about 32 years of age, brown hair; wore a round hard hat, brown tweed coat and vest, much worn, old navy blue trowsers, bad old highlow boots. Description of PATRICK DALY, native of Bally- eurrane, who stands charged with having, on the 11th February, 1889, in the barony of Clanwilliam, parish of Emly, county Tipperary, unlawfully in his posses- sion three bullocks, the property of R. C. Dobbs, which were stolen from his farms at Knockgreau and Knocknacrohy, county Limerick, on 4th September and 26th November, 1888 :— Ill- looking, speaks rather loud and partly through his nose ; rather long nose, fair complexion, oval fac, medium make, 5 feet 8 inches high, about 35 years of age, brown hair; wore a bluish coat, gray tweed trowsers and vest; is a farmer. Description of WILLIAM FARRELL, native place unknown, who stands charged with having, on the 10th instant, in the borough of Limerick, parish of St. Michael's, stolen from the house of Walter Baxendale a cost the property of his son, William H. S. Baxendale, which has since been found in a pawn office v- Gray eyes, regular nose, fair complexion, broad face, medium make, 5 feet 9 inches high, about 88 years of age, fair hair, cut short; wore a gray tweod coat, trowsers, and vest all of which are faded ; is a pedlar and army reserve man. This man deals in small stationery and jewellery through the country. Warrant in hands of District Inspector, Limerick. Limerick, 16th Feb., 1889. ( 94546 c.— 61721.) Londonderry. Description of DAVID BROWN, JUNIOR, native of Tullanee, who stands chargod with having, on the 6th day ot March, 1889, in the Half- barony of Tirkeeran, parish of Faughanvale, committed a rape on Matilda M'Ginnis, a girl of about 13 years of Queen's. Description of EDWARD FOLEY, aative of Ballyadams, who stands charged with having, on the 13th day of August, 1888, in the barony of Bally- adams, parish of Ballyadams, taken two ass- loads of bay from off the lands of Thomas Kemmis, Esquire, at Ballyadams, it being lands from which defendant had been evicted:— Brown eyes, regular nose, sallow complexion, round face, medium muke. 5 feet 7 inches high, about 41 years of age, dark hair, very short, dark whiskers, and dark moustache; wore a wide- awake hat, dark tweed coat; trewsers, and vest; is an evicted tenant. Description of PATRICK DOCKERY, native of Ardkeena, who stands charged with having, on various dates in December, 1888, and January, 1889, in the barony of Roscommon, parish of Ogulla, feloniously Waterford. Description of JEREMIAH O'NEILL, native of Mallow, county Cork, who stands charged with having, on the 1st day of March, 1889, in the barony of Cosh- more and Coshbride, parish of Lismore, stolen a mare, the property of Francis Taaffe, esq., cut ef his stable- yard at Fortwilliam, county Waterford:— Very slight limp, and a very marked lisp when speaking ; blue eyes, regular noee, candy complexion, c ar- thaved face, stout make, 5 feat 7 inches high, sbomt 25 or 26 years ef age; is a groom. Description of a MAN, name and native place unknown, who stands charged with living, on the 25th March, 1889, in the barony or Talbotstown Lower, parish of Boystown, stolen a mare ( which has been recovered), the property of Michael Miley, which he sold in Wicklow fair, on 26th March, 1889:— Stands erect, brown side whiskers taming gray, chin and upper- lip ^^ ed, sallow complexion, medium make, 5 feet 6 or 7 inches high, about 40 or 45 years of age; wore a round hard bat, faded tweed coat, corduroy trowsers, tweed vest; appears to be ex soldier and tramp. Dunlavin, 30th March, 1889. ( 953B7c.— 63191.) DUBLIN METROPOLITAN POLIOS. G Division, £ 50 REWARD. * Description of a man, who gave the name of JOSEPH B. LYNAM, of the firm of Balman, Bros., % ew York, wanted here on Warrant, for obtaining on the 12th inst., by false pretences, the Mm of £ 180, from an office in this city:— He is about 40 years of age, 5 feet 7 or 8 inches high, stout make, broad shoulders, thick ne8k, dark hair, face shaved except moustache, which is slightly gray, sallow complexion, gentlemanly appearance ; dressed in black cloth dress ooat, clerical pattern, and hard black jerry hat. The above Reward will be paid to any one giving information leading to his arrest and conviction on application to Superintendent WILLIAM REDDY, Exchange- court, to whom any information concerning him should be sent. COLLIER, wanted here on Warrant for obtaining goods and money by means of bogus cheques, purporting to be on the London Colonial Bank, 36, Lombard street, E. C., which is fictitious :— He is about 35 years old, 5 feet 10 or 11 inches high, medium make, fair hair and complexion, shaved face, except small fair moustache, right arm contracted at elbow, in consequence of which he has to hold the pen between his middle fingers when writing; he speaks English and French fiaently. He may be found wearing a gold English lever watch, No. 10058, and a gold Albert chain, long and short link pattern, and gold seal attached. Particulars relative to Convict JOHN M'KENNA, A 908, convicted at Dublin City Sessions, on 26th August, 1884, for false pretences and housebreaking, sentenced to 5 years' penal servitude; 25 years of age on conviction, single, is a painter, born in Drnmcondra, resided before conviction at Dublin, where his friends reside :— Brown hair, blue eyes, brown eyebrows, regular nose, regular mouth, fresh complexion, oval visage, stout make, 5 feet 7 J inches high; upper front teeth irregular. This man was releasod on licence, from Maryborough Prison, on 2nd August, 1888. He recently left his residence, 50, Lower Tyrone- street, Dublin, without reporting to the Metropolitan Police, and his present whereabouts is unknown. In the event of his arrest he should be dealt with under section 5 of the Act 34 and 35 Vic., cap. 112. ( 236 H. c.) Particulars relative to Convict WILLIAM GRIFFIN, c 133, convicted at Omagh Summer Assizes, on 12th July, 1887, for rape, and sentenced to 5 years' penal servitude u— 32 years of age on con- viction, married, is a labourer, born at Fintona, county Tyrone, resided before conviction at Fintona, county Tyrone, where his friends reside; black hair, brown eyes, dark eyebrows, large nose inclined to right, medium mouth, dark complexion, oval visage, pro- portionate make, 5 feet 10 inches high, neveral cut marks on head, large cut mark on palm of left hand, varicose veins in legs. ThiB man was released . from Mountjoy Prison, on licence, 26th July, 1888, and went to Fintona. He failed to make his nsual monthly report on the lat instant, and his present whereabouts is unknown. In the event of his arrest he should be dealt with under sec. 5 of 34 & 35 Vic, cap. 112. ( 233 H. C.) Particulars relative to convict PATRICK NOLAN, a 899, convicted at Dublin Summer Assizes, on 7th August, 1884, for larceny, and sentenced to 5 years' penal servitude:— 49 years of age on conviction, single, is a labourer; born in Dublin, where he resided before conviction, and where his friends reside; brown hair, haiel eyes, light brown eyebrows, long and thick nose, large mouth, sallow complexion, oval visage, medium make, 5 feet 5 inches high; B. C. on right side, and D. on left, lost a front upper tooth, small brown mole on right shin. This man was released from Mountjoy Prison, 10th July, 1888, on licence, and went to reside at 118, Coombe. He has recently left his residence without reporting to the Police, and his present whereabouts is unknown. In the event of his arrest he should be dealt witk under see. 5 of 34 and 35 Vic., cap. 112. ( 230 H. O.) ENGLISH POLICE. Derbyshire. AMENDED INFORMATION. Wanted on Warrant, charged with stealing three bullocks, value £ 35, from a field at Aston- on- Trent, in this county, at 7 30 a. m., 19th inst., the property of Mr. Joseph Turner. The bullocks have been recovered. By a farm labourer named Benjamin Hibbert; he is of the following description, viz.:— Twenty years of age, 5 feet 11 inches high, fresh complexion, black hair, roundish face, no whiskers or moustache. Is rather round- shouldered, long neck, prominent throat ( Adam's apple), all his toes are contracted, and he walks heavily ^ n his heels, leaqp forward and goes with a slouching gait, one leg slightly bowed. W » dressed, black hard felt hat, new blue- black overcoat, brown check njixture tweed suit, rather worn, light lace- up boots. This man booked by the 3 20 p. m. train on 19th inst, from Derby to Holyhead, and from Holyhead ^ o Dublin, and on the 20th from Dublin to Queenstown. It is thought he intends going to America* but he cannot be traced arriving at Queenstown, and it is now oonjectured that he may ha » e broken his journey en route to the latter place and commenced drinking. Please cause every possible enquiry to be made, and if found, arrest, and wire to the Deputy Chief Constable, as below, when an officer will be sent for him and pay expenses. q County Constabulary Office, 17, St. Mary's Gate, Derby, 25th February, 1889. ( 231 H. C.) Liverpool. Wanted by Warrant for obtaining 6 gold chains by false pretences on the 21st February last:—. RICHARD WOODROOFE, a watchmaker, 40 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, stout build, ruddy complexion, reddish hair, full whiskers, slight moustache, is pockpitted, was dressed in a brownish tweed suit and billy- cock hat. Has had a number of watch clubs in Great Britain and Ireland. May be accompanied by his sister, 30 years of age, & feet 6 inches high, very stout, red hair, and walks erect. Information sworn. Information requested as to the whereabouts of licence- holder THOMAS DELANY alias WILSON, released from Her Majesty's Convict Prison, Mountjoy, on the 13th instant, on licence t § this city, for the purpose of emigrating to America, but who refused to proceed in the vessel, and his whereabouts are unknown since the 16th instant:— He is a shoemaker, native of Tip- perary, 49 years of age, 5 feet 2^ inches high, brown hair, blue eyes, stout build, fresh complexion, oval features large cut scar on outside corner of right eye, cut on right wrist, wart near corner of right eye, some- what deaf, and lost an upper front tooth He was convicted at Birr, King's County, 8th October, 1879, of burglary, after previous conviction, and sentenced to 10 years' penal servitude. Wanted, for neglecting to notify leaving the district en or about the 1st instant, as required by the Preven- tion of Crimes Act, 1871 :— RICHARD DAVIES, a native of Hinstock, Shropshire, 51 years of age, 5 feet 10 inches high, dark hair, gray eyes, fresh com- plexion, mole on left cheek, and scar on left temple. Convicted at Liverpool Assizes, 8th May, 1884, of perjury ( committed at the Liverpool County Court), and sentenced to 5 years' penal servitude, but released on licence, 12th May last. Since that time he has carried on business as a furniture dealer, & c., at 208, Walton- road, in this city, and obtained quantities of goods from different firms in various parts of the country on credit, most of which were disposed of by auction soon after their receipt for what they would realize. He is likely to commence a similar business in some other town. Kindly cause careful inquiry to be made, and, if found, arrest and telegraph or com- municate any information you may be able to obtain as early as possible to the Chief Superintendent. Wanted, on Warrant, for embeazling between £ 200 and £ 300, the moneys of his employer, on the 18th instant:— JOHN MASON, 24 years of age, 5 feet 9 inches high, proportionate build, walks very erect, florid complexion, reddish nose, light yellow hair, and slight yellow moustache, fingers of left hand rather hard through constant playing of the violin. Dressed in black hard billycock hat, light brown dust coat, black coat and vest, and striped trowsers ; carried a light- coloured strong leather cask- bag. He was em- ployed as a flour miller's traveller, and is a native of Market Drayton, Shropshire. Will no doubt attempt to get away to some foreign country.
