Description of JOHN FISHER, native of Germany, who stands charged with having, on the 8th March, 18*- 9, at Carlow, in the barony of Carlow, parish of Carlow, stolen a silver lever watch ( the watch has been recovered), the property of William Vass, of Carlow:—. Has trails or sores on back of neck, flushed face, stont make, 5 feet 5 inches high, about 40 years of age; wore a two- peaked cap of gray tweed, dark coat, trowsers and vest; the face is shaved, except moustache, which is dark. Description of FRANCIS QUINN, ( mother's surname, Doogan), native of Smear, county Longford, who stands charged with having, on the 25th January, 1689, in the barony of Tullyhunco, parish of Killa- shandra, dangerously assaulted Patrick Reilly, of Drumbaldry, county Longford, and who escaped from the Police Escort on the 5th February, 1889, at Cornea, county Cavan, while being conveyed to Petty Sessions:— Brown eyes, long nose, dark complexion, long face, medium make, 6 feet 6 inches high, about 18 years of age, dark hair; wore a round hat, check tweed coat, trowsers, and vest; is a farmer's son. Description of a TINKER, WIFE, and DAUGHTER, names and native places unknown, who stand charged with having, on the 7th March, 1889, in the barony of West Muskerry, parish of Inchigeela, stolen £ 14 10*. from the house of one John Ring, where they lodged the previous night:— 1. Slightly lame of left leg, cocked nose, dark complexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 5 inches high, about 50 years of age, dark curly hair; wore an old brown overcoat, plaid trowsers} is a tinker. 2. Brown eyes, sallow complexion, long face, stout make, 5 feet 5 inches high, about 50 years of age, black hair; wore a navy blue dress, old hooded cloak ; is wife of above. 3. Rather cocked nose, fair complexion, ronnd face, medium make, 5 feet 4 inches high, about 22 years of age, fair hair; wore a brown dress and brown striped shawl; is daughter of above. Description of ANTHONY M'CLAFFERTY ( mother's surname Coyle), native of Glenerragh, who stands charged with having, on the 14th January, 1889, at Glenerragh, in the barony of Kilmacrenan, parish of Meevagh, forcibly rescued a prisoner from lawful custody who was arrested for being drunk and disorderly:— Upper front teeth prominent, no whisken, beard, or moustache, dark eyes, regular nose, pale sallow complexion, round full face, stout make, 5 feet 9 inches high, about 22 years of age, dark hair; wore a dark tweed cap, tweed ooat, dark tweed trowsen tweed vest; is a labourer. He was in America. Re- turned from Scotland on 1st December, 1888, it ia likely that he has gone there. The Sergeant, R. I. C., at Glen, holds a Warrant for his arrest. Has resided for the last two years near Ederney, county Fermanagh. Has been living a considerable time in England and Scotland; to either country it is believed he has absconded. Description of the undernamed young offender, who, on the 26tii March, 1889, absconded from the St Conleth's Reformatory School at Philipstown :— THOMAS SHERLOCK, No. 1073, between 18 and 19 years of age, about 5 feet 7 inches high, slight make, pale complexion, weak sight, dark brown hair, brown eyes, long nose, small mouth, oval visage ; 2 middle toes on right foot stuck together. Formerly belonged to 56, Bereslord- street, Dublin ; father dead ; mother lived at said place when boy was admitted. The School dress, all with Reformatory Stamp, consists of soft hat, corduroy trowsers, vest and tunic. Will probably change his clothes and try to get work with a farmer. The Manager of the Reformatory will defray the expensos of his conveyance, if arrested, to the nearest Justice, on remand, and will reward the person who may capture him with £ 1. Limerick. Description of PATRICK HYNES ( mother's surname Moroney), native of Limerick City, who stands charged with hitviog, on the morning of the 22nd February, 1889, in the borough of Limerick, parish ot St. Mary's, unlawfully and burglariously entered the dwelling house and store of Stephen Tubridy, of Athlunkard- street, in this city, and stolen therefrom the sum of about 15*.:— Gray or blue eyes, regular nose, fresh complexion, regular face, medium make, 5 feet 6 or 7 inches high, about 32 years of age, brown hair; wore a round hard hat, brown tweed coat and vest, much worn, old nary blue trowsers, bad old highlow boots. C. Dobbs, which were stolen from his farms at Knockgreau and Knocknacrohy, county Limerick, on 4th September and 26th November, lft88 :— Ill- looking, speaks rather loud and partly through his nose ; rather long nose, fair complexion, oval face, medium make, 5 feet 8 inches high, about 35 years of age, brown hair; wore a bluish coat, gray tweed trowsers and vest; is a farmer. S. Baxendale, which has since'been found in a pawn office;— Gray eyes, regular nose, fair complexion, broad face, medium make, 5 fret 9 inches high, about 38 years of age, fair hair, cut short; wore a gray tweed coat, trowsers, and vest, all of which are faded ; is a pedlar and army reserve man. Description of BERNARD ROGERS, native of Magheramore, and MARY ANNE ROGERS ( mother's surname M'Daid), native of Magheramore, who stand charged with having, on the 4th March, 1889, in the barony of Coleraine, parish of Desertghill, assaulted John M'Donald, a special bailiff, in the execution of his duty, and did, by force and violence, rescue two cows and a horse he had seized under a Civil Bill Decree:— 1. Description of a person giving the name of ROSE HANLON, native place unknown, who stands charged with having, on the 21st March, 1889, in the barony of Ferrard, parish of Monasterboice, deserted her female child aged about 6 weeks, thereby endangering its life:— Small sore on side of mouth, regular nose, fair complexion, broad face, stout make, 6 feet 4 inches high, about 89 years of age, fair or reddish hair; wore a light gray shawl, laced boots. Description of MICHAEL TOBIN, native of Shrongh, near Tipperary, who stands charged with having, on the night of 17th or morning of 18th January, 1889, in the barony of Clanwilliam, parish of Ballybrood, feloriously stolen and taken away six bullocks, the property of Mrs. S. E. Gabbett, from her farm at Mountminnett, county Limerick, and that ho had the same unlawfully in his possession :— Dark eyebrows and moustache, dark beard and whiskers cut short, regular nose, dark complexion, regular tace, slight make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 35 years of age, dark hair; wore a soft dark hat, dark clothes; is a cattle jobber. LYNAM, of the. firm of Balman, Bros., New York, wanted here on Warrant,' for obtaining on the 12th inst., by falsa pretences, the mm of £ 150, from an office in this city:— He is about 40 years of age, 5 feet 7 or 8 inches high, stout make, broad shouldfers, thick neck, dark hair, face shaved except moustache, which is slightly gray, sallow complexion, gentlemanly appearance ; dressed in black cloth dress coat, clerical pattern, and hard black jerry hat. COLLIER, wanted here on Warrant for obtaining goodand money by means of bogus cheques, purporting to be on the London Colonial Bank, 36, Lombard street, E. C., which is fictitious :— He is about 35 years old, 5 feet 10 or 11 inches high, medium make, fair hair and complexion, shaved face, except small fair moustache, right arm contracted at elbow, in consequence of which he has to hold the pen between bis middle fingers when writing; he speaks English and French fluently. He may be found wearing a gold English lever watch, No. 10058, and a gold Albert chain, long and short link pattern, and gold seal attached. Particulars relative to Convict JOHN M'KENNA, A 908, convicted at Dublin City Sessions, on 26th August, 1884, for false pretences and housebreaking, sentenced to 5 years' penal servitude; 25 years of age on conviction, single, is a painter, born in Drumcondra, resided before conviction at Dublin, where his friends reside :— Brown hair, blue eyes, brown eyebrows, regular nose, regular mouth, fresh complexion, oval visage, stout make, 5 feet 7 J inches high; upper front teeth irregular. This man was released on licence, from Maryborough Prison, on 2nd August, 1888. He recently left his residence, 50, Lower Tyrone- street, Dublin, without repot ting to the Metropolitan Police, and his present whereabouts is unknown. In the event of his arrest he should be dealt with under section 5 of the Act 34 and 35 Vic., cap. 112. ( 236 H. C.) Particulars relative to Convict WILLIAM GRIFFIN, c 133, convicted at Omagh Summer Assizes, on 12th July, 1887, for rape, and sentenced to 5 years' penal servitude:— 32 years of age on con- viction, married, is a labourer, born at Fintona, county Tyrone, resided before conviction at Fintona, county Tj rone, where his friends reside; black hair, brown eyes, dark eyebrows, large nose inclined to right, medium mouth, dark complexion, oval visage, pro- portionate make, 5 feet 10 inches high, several cut marks on head, large cui mark on palm of left hand, varicose veins in legs. This man was released from Mountjoy Prison, on licence, 26th July, 1888, and went to Fintona. He failed to make his usual monthly report on the 1st instant, and his present whereabouts is unknown. In the event of his arrest he should be dealt with under sec. 5 of 34 & 35 Vic., cap. 112. ( 233 H. C.) Particulars relative to convict PATRICK NOLAN, A 899, convicted at Dublin Summer Assizes, on 7th August, 1884, for larceny, and sentenced to 5 years' penal servitude:— 49 years of age on conviction, single, is a labourer; born in Dublin, where he resided before conviction, and where his friends reside; brown hair, hazel eyes, light brown eyebrows, long and thick nose, large mouth, sallow complexion, oval visage, medium make, 5 feet 5 inches high; B. C. on right side, and D. on left, lost a front upper tooth, ' small brown mole on right shin. This man was released from Mountjoy Prison, 10th July, 1888, on licence, and went to reside at 118, Coombe. He has recently left his residence without reporting to the Police, and his present whereabouts is unknown. Wanted on Warrant, charged with stealing three bullocks, value £ 35, from a field at Aston- on- Trent, in this county, at 7 30 a. m., 19th inst, tho property of Mr. Joseph Turner. The bullocks have been recovered. By a farm labourer named Benjamin Hibbert; he is of the following description, viz.- Twenty years of age, 5 feet 11 inches high, fresh complexion, black hair, roundish face, no whiskers or moustache. Is rather round- shouldered, long neck, prominent throat ( Adam's apple), all his toes are contracted, and he walks heavily on his heels, leans forward and goes with a slouching gait, one leg slightly bowed. Was dressed, black hard felt hat, new blue- black overcoat, brown check mixture tweed suit, rather worn, light lace- up boots. This man booked by the 3 20 p. m. train on 19th inst., from Derby to Holyhead, and from Holyhead to Dublin, and on the 20th from Dublin to Queenstown. It is thought he intends going to America, but he cannot be traced arriving at Queenstown, and it is now conjectured that he may have broken his journey * n route to the latter place and commenced drinking. Please cause every possible enquiry to be made, and if found, arrest, and ynvF to the Deputy Chief Constable, as below, when an officer will be sent for him and pay expenses. Wanted by Warrant for obtaining 6 gold chains by false pretences on the 21st February last :— RICHARD WOODROOFE, a watchmaker, 40 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, stoat build, ruddy complexion, reddish hair, full whiskers, slight moustache, is pockpitted, was dressed in a brownish tweed suit and billy- cock hat. Has had a number of watch clubs in Great Britain and Ireland. May be accompanied by his sister, 30 years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, very stout, red hair, and walks erect. Information sworn. Information requested as to the whereabouts of licence- holder THOMAS DELANY alias WILSON, released from Her Majesty's Convict Prison, Mountjoy, on the 13th instant, on licence to this city, for the purpose of emigrating to America, but who refused to proceed in the vessel, and his whereabouts are unknown since the 16th instant:— He is a shoemaker, native of Tip- perary, 49 years of age, 5 feet inches high, brown hair, blue eyes, stout build, fresh complexion, oval features large cut scar on outside corner of right eye, cut on right wrist, wart near corner of right eye, some- what deaf, and lost an upper front tooth He was convicted at Birr, King's County, 8th October, 1879, of burglary, after previous conviction, and sentenced to 10 years' penal servitude. Wanted, for neglecting to notify leaving the district on or about the 1st instant, as required by the Preven- tion of Crimes Act, 1871:— RICHARD DAVIES, a native of Hinstock, Shropshire, 51 years of age, 5 feet 10 inches high, dark hair, gray eyes, fresh com- plexion, mole on left cheek, and scar on left temple. Convicted at Liverpool Assizes, 8th May, 1884, of perjury ( committed at the Liverpool County Court), and sentenced to 5 years' penal servitude, but released on licence, 12th May last. Since that time he has carried on business as a furniture dealer, & c., at 208, Walton- road, in this city, and obtained quantities of goods from different firms in various parts of the country on credit, most of which were disposed of by auction soon after their receipt for what they would realize. He is likely to commence a similar business in some other town. Kindly cause careful inquiry to be made, and, if found, arrest and telegraph or com- municate any information you may be able to obtain as early as possible to the Chief Superintendent. Wanted, on Warrant, for embezzling between £ 200 and £ 300, the moneys of his employer, on the 18th instant:— JOHN MaSON, 24 years of age, 5 feet 9 inches high, proportionate build, walks very erect, florid complexion, reddish nose, light yellow hair, and slight yellow moustache, fingers of left hand rather hard through constant playing of the violin.
