Description of JOHN BRENNAN ( supposed fictitious), native place unknown, who stands charged with having, on the 14th Decembar, 1888, in the barony of Rathvilly, pariah of Rathmore, stolen from William Keppel, of Rathmore, two heifers and one bullock, which have been recovered;— Low thick- set man, with small side whiskers and a brown moustache • lipped close, trash complexion, stout make, 5 feet 6 incites high, about 30 years of age, brown hair; wore a soft hat, dark tweod coat, trowser.;, and vest. This man sold the cattle at Newtownbarry, on 14th Decem- ber, 1888, when he gave the name of Brennan Sergeant M'Keon, of Rathvilly, holds a Warrant for Brennan's arrost. Carlow 17th December, 1888. Description of EDWARD M'KEEVER, native of Arva, who stands charged with having, on the 28th September, 1888, in the barony of Tullyhunco, parish of Killeshandra, stabbed Ellen M'Kenna, thereby placing her life in danger:— Scar over left eye, brown eyes, regular nose, fresh complexion, round face, stout make, about 5 feet 6 inches high, about 23 years of age; wore a tweed cap, light brown tweed jacket, trowsers, and vest, and regulation boots; he is a Militia man; is a labourer. Description of MICHAEL HALLORAN, who stands charged with having, on the 18th November, 1888, in the barony of Tulla Lower, parish of Kiltenanlea, stolen a purse containing £ 12, viz., three £ 3 and three XI notes, from his employer's house, Thomas Hickey, of Cappavilla:— Has a white speck on one eye, thin cocked nose, fresh complexion, regular face, medium make, 5 feet 4 inches higb, about 35 years of age, sandy hair and whiskers, shaves chin 5 wore a soft brown hat, gray tweed coat, corduroy trowsers, gray tweed vert, and short leather leggings; is a farm labourer. RTIN, native place Kilmore, near Larkfield, county Longford who stands charged with having, on the 17th day of September, 1888, in the barony of Moygoish, parish of Street, deserted her male infant, about 10 days old, by leaving it in Boherquill R. C. Chapel:— Full gray eyes, regular nose, fresh complexion, full fat wee, very stout make, under medium size, about 20 04 22 years of age, dark hair; wore a navy blue dress, with one flounce on it, and a dark shawl worn over the head ; occupation unknown ( looks like farm servant). JAMES _ M'GARRY, wanted here by Warrant, charged with assault with intent to commit rape, not arrested ; Hue- and- Cry, 26th October, 1888. ( 199 H. c.) DUBLIN METROPOLITAN POLICE, G Division. Particulars relative to English Police Supervisee, JOHN ANDERSON, convicted at Manchester Sessions, on 1st May, 1878, for stealing £ 1, and sentenced to 7 years' penal servitude, and 7 years' police supervision :— 25 years of age on conviction, single, is a grocer, born in Belfast, resided before con- viction at Manchester ; light brown hair, light blue eyes fair complexion, oval visage, proportionate make, 5 feet 8 inches high ; cut on right side of head, scar on bend of nose, one vaccination mark on right arm, right eye weak, large pockmark on left shoulder blade and on hip. This man was discharged from Borstal Convict Prison, 15th October, 1883. He failed to report himself to the Belfast Police on the 1st instant, and is supposed to have gone to London. ( 206 H. c.) Description of WILLIAM JAMES HARRIS, native of Bicester, Oxfordshire, England, charged with embezzling £ 175 7s. 11 d., the monies of the Alverstoke Local Board, to whom he was Clerk:— 35 years of age, 5 feet 8 inches high, fresh complexion, light brown hair parted in centre, small side whiskers and moustache, blue eyes rather full, smart appearance; dressed when last seen in a light dust overcoat, dark gray cutaway walking coat; dark corduroy racing vest, light check trowsers, wears a gold serpent ring on fourth finger of left hand. This man was released on licence from Chatham Prison, 23rd December, 1877. He recently left the North Dublin Union, his last place of residence, without notifying same to the Metropolitan Police, and his present whereabouts is unknown. Particulars relative to Convict DANIEL M'DER MOTT, convicted at Londonderry, on 4th August, 1876, for manslaughter, and sentenced to 15 years' penal servitude:— 19 years of age on conviction, single, is a quay labourer, resided before conviction at Londonderry, where his friends reside; dark brown hair, blue eyes, dark brown eyebrows, cocked nose, medium mouth, fresh complexion, oval visage, slight make, 5 feet 3 inches high 5 large scrofulous scars on throat, and on each forearm, cross and dot between right thumb and forefinger, and two dots between left thumb and forefinger. This man was released on Licence from Mountjoy Prison, on 1st September, 1888, and went to London- derry. He subsequently went to Glasgow, where he reported himself on the 6th September, and stated that he was going to reside at 4, Wood- lane, in that city, but on inquiry being made there it was ascertained that he had never been in that house, and his present whereabouts is unknown. In the event of his arrest he should be dealt with under sec. 5 of the Act 33 and 34 Vic., cap. 112. ( 196 H. C.) Leeds. Particulars of THEMISTOCLES CONSTANTINE alias LEMONDJOOGLON— Supposed native of Greece, about 36 years of age, 5 feet 3 or 4 inches high, very dark complexion, black hair, cut very short, black whiskers and moustache rather short, small dark eyes, long thin nose, medium build, rather thick at waist, sloping shoulders, speaks good English with a foreign accent, has bad feet and is a bad walker; wore a black frock coat and vest, light striped trowsers very wide, silk hat, and at times a black billycock • hat;— charged with obtaining cloth by false pretenceB, and offences under the Bankruptcy Acts. Absconded from Newmarket, on Friday last the 26th instant, charged under Warrant with embezzling £ 300, the monies of his employers, Messrs. Coleman and Company, Merchants:— WILLIAM DENNIS FROST, Clerk, 32 years of age, 5 feet 8 or 9 inches high, proportionate build, light blue eye3, brown hair ( thin at top), small light moustache and side whiskers, face very red from drink, has a springy step when walking, very respectably dressed in hard felt hat, blue cloth overcoat and light check trowsers, has in his possession a 2nd class season ticket available for whole of G. E. Railway. Please cause every enquiry to be made, if found, arrest and wire to CHARLES LONG, D. C. C. Newmarket, 29th October, 1883. ( 203 H. C.) Salford. Description of THOMAS GILBERT, wanted in this borough for stealing a large number of watches, Ac., as bailie:— About 32 years of age, 5 feet 5 or 6 inches high, fresh complexion, brown hair, light sandy moustache, no whiskers or beard, high cheek bones, broad shoulders, native of neighbourhood of Belfast, watchmaker and jeweller by trade; when last seen on 7th instant he was dressed in a brown check cloth suit. Supposed to have in his possession the following watchcs*— Two lady's gold Geneva watches, Nos. 89,141 and 28,938; 2 gold lever watchcs, Nos. 2,887 and 26,164; 2 gold Geneva watches, Nos. 971 and 44,418; and a gold Geneva lever watch, No. 27,512, part of tho property stolen. C.) \ Edinburgh, Wanted here on Warrant, charged with theft of £ 68 the money of his employer, on' 2nd instant:— JAMES CLEGHORN, a Salesman in a Ladies' Outfitting Warehouse, 35 years of age, 5 feet 6 or 7 inches high, ordinary make, very dark hair, whiskers, beard, and moustache ( beard cut short); dressed in dark striped trowsers, black corded shooting coat, and vest, brown Melton overcoat with velvet collar, black felt hat. Respectable and smart appearance. Is a native of Musselburgh, in the county of Mid- Lothian. He was formerly employed in London. Is given to drink and keeping company of gay women. May assnme the name of M'Ara. Police Officers are requested to make particular search and enquiry for this man at hotels, shipping offices, and other likely places, and should he be found, apprehend and communicate with the Chief Constable, City Police Office, Edinburgh. Whereas, during the week ending 17th November, 1888, eight forged notes of the Bank of Scotland, for £ 1 sterling each, were passed in different places in this city, and afterwards paid into the principal office in Glasgow of said Bank.
