SINON CASEY ( mother's surname Meaney), and ' MICHAEL GALVIN ( mother's surname Casey); natives of Kilrush, who stand charged with having, on the « 5th April, 1888, in the barony of Moyarta, parish of Kilrush, unlawfully assaulted one Thomas O'Brien, and robbed him of the sum of £ 18 15*.:— r 1. Gray ' eyes, long nose, sallow complexion, thin face, medium make, 5 feet 9 or 10 inches high, about 35 years of age: wore a soft hat, gray coat, tweed trowsers and vest, is a car- driver. 2. Slightly lame, rowdy looking, gray eyes, regular nose, fair complexion, round face, medium make, 5 feet 8 inches high, about 30 years of age; wore a hard hat, black coat, brown trowsers and vest, is a carpenter. Description of PATRICK DONOHUE, MARY ANNE DONOHUE, and MARY DONOHUE, natives of Limerick city, who stand charged with having, on the 4th day of May, 1888, in the barony of Condon and Clongibbons, parish of Fermoy, severely assaulted, beaten, and inflicted grievous wounds on Mary Ryan:— 1. Gray eyes, long nose, fair complexion, long face, active make, 5 feet 8 inches high about, 45 years of age ; wore a black hat, brown coat, trowsers, and vest; is a " gambler." 2. Brown eyes, long nose, sallow complexion, round face, medium make, 5 feet 4 inches high, about 45 years of age ; wore a brown shawl over her head; is a " gambler." 3. Pearl on left eye; blue eyes, broad nose, fair complexion, broad face, stout make, 5 feet 4 inches higfi, about 20 years of age ; wore a brown shawl over her head; is a " gambler." ( 88721 c.— 52133,) Description of THREE MEN, names and native places unknown, who stand charged with having, on the 20th May, 1888, in the barony of Duhallow, parish of Clonfert, assaulted' and forcibly taken a six chamber revolver from John Quirke, caretaker to W. N. Leader, Esq., J. P.:— 1. Fresh complexion, long thin face, slight make, 5 feet 8 inches high, about 28 years of age, fair hair, no beard; wore a white tweed two- peaked cap, whitish gray tweed coat. 2. Long nose, dark complexion, round full face, very stout make, 5 feet 9| inches high, about 29 years of age, black hair, no whiskers or beard; wore a black soft hat, black pilot coat. 3. Long nose, fair complexion, very plump facc, stout make, 5 feet 6 or 7 inches high, about 34 or 35 years of age, black hair, black side whiskers; wore a hard black hat, black frieze coat, black trowsers. JOHN VERNON, alias JOHN M'ILVERNON, robbery from a dwelling house, not arrested ; Hue- and- Cry, 16th December 1887. ( 85586 c 46598.) Dublin. Description of the undernamed young offender, who, on the 26th May, 1888, absconded from the Rehoboth Reformatory School at Rehoboth- place, Dublin:— CHARLES M'MILLEN, 17 years of age, 4 feet 6 inches high, stout make, dark brown hair, gray'eyes, small nose, small mouth, fresh complexion, round visage ; formerly belonged to Dundalk. Parents reside at Barrack- street, Dundalk. Small mark of cut on centre of right cheek, mark of burn on left foot. Dress worn by juvenile when he absconded i— Round cloth cap with peak and two brass buttons, tweed jacket, trowsers, and vest, calico shirt, buckled boots and cotton socks. This boy was reared in the Military Barracks, at Dundalk, will likely frequent the neighbourhood of the Dublin Military Barracks. The Manager of the Reformatory will defray the expenses of his conveyance, if arrested, to the nearest Justice, on remand, and will reward the person who may capture him with £ 1. ( 157 H. c.) Description of a MAN, name and r. ativo p'ace unknown, who stands charged with having, on tic night of 18th May, 1888, in tho barony of Rathdown, parish of Kill, being suspected of entering the house of Mrs. Elsner, and stolen spoons, < fcc., of the value of about £ 3 :— Round shoulders, large mouth, small thin moustache, large nose, coarse broad face, short set make, 5 feet 2 or 3 inches high, about 40 years of age; wore an old gray coat, begging when observed. Description of MARYANNE, alias BRIDGET KELLY ( mother's name, Brennan, residing at 51, Lower Mecklenburgh- street, Dublin ; she also has an aunt residing at Conolly- court, off Purdon- street), native of Dublin, who stands charged with having, on the 24th day of April, 1888, in the barony of Coolock, parish of Clonturk, stolen from her employer, Winifred Quinn, the sum often pounds ten shillings :— Round shoulders, awkward gait, gray eyes, regular nose, sallow complexion, oval face, stout make, 4 feetlOincheshigh, about 20 years of age, dark hair; wore a black straw hat, brown dress, short black jacket; is a general servant. King's. • Description of a WOMAN, name unknown, who stands charged with having, on the morning of 11th May, 1888, in the barony of Kilcoursey, parish of Kilbride, abandoned a child about a month old, thereby endangering its life:— Brown eyes, aquiline nose, pale complexion, thin face, slight make, 5 feet 5 inches high, about 20 or 22 years of age, black hair; wore a green linsey dress, and dark gray shawl, with white spots or stripes, no boots. - Tullamore, 12th May, 1888. JOHN REILLY, serious assault, not arrested; Hue- and- Cry, 2nd March, 1888. ( 86655 c.— 48642.) Kildare. Description of PETER FARRELL and CHRIS- TOPHER CONNOLLY, natives of Cloncumber, who stand chargod with having, on the 10th day of May, 1888, in the barony of Connell, parish of Kilmeague, seriously assaulted Robert Nevins:— 1. Narrow gh uhlcrs ar d awkward gait, gray eyes, regular nose, sallow compl° xicn, thin face, slight make, 5 feet 9 inches high, about 23 years of age, dark hair; wore a soft hat, dark tweed ooat, trowsers, and vest; is a labourer. 2. Fresh complexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 5 inches high, about 30 years of age; wore a dark c > at, moleskin trowsers, and dark vest; is a boatman on Grand canal. Was convicted in Dublin about 9 months since, of stabbing, and sentenced to 6 months imprisonment. Ilai a brother residing in James's- street, Dublin. Warrants in hands of Police. Description of WILLIAM KENNEDY ( mother's surname Bridget Keane), native of Doon, who stands charged with having, on the 11th day of May, 1388, in the barony of Coonagh, parish of Doon, seriously nssaulted William Leahy, by striking him on the head with a stone, and fracturing his skull, and who has since died from the effocts of the injuries received: — Black eyes, hooked nose, sallow complexion, regular lace, medium make, 5 feet 9 inches high, about 22 years of age, black hair; wore a two- peaked tweed cap, black serge sack coat, gray tweed trowsers ( broken about the kno s), gray tweed vest; is a carpenter. Londonderry. • Description of JOSEPH JORDAN, native of Culnafey ( county Antrim), who stands chrrged with having, on the 19th day of May, 1888, in the barony of Loughinshallen, parish of Ballyscullion, attempted to commit a rape on one Nancy Lynn :— Brown . eyes, sharp nose, red thin face, 5 feet 5 inches high, about 19 years of age; wore a single- peaked tweed ctp, brown coat, dark corduroy trowsers, and vest; is a labourer. Courtney, ( mother's surname Berrill), native of Drogheda, who stands charged with having, on tho 14th day of May, 1888, in the barony of Ferrard, parish of St. Peter's, absconded from hi » employment taking with him the sum of £ 8, the property of his master Mr. Thomas Jordan, of Drogheda:— Bo v legs, dark eyes, long nose, • lark complexion, long face, slight make, 5 feet 9 inches high, about 21 years of age, dark hair ; wore a round jerry hat, gray tweed coat, trowsers, and vc3t; is a pawnbroker's assistant. Description oi CHRISTOPHER BOYLE, native of Dunboyne, who stands charged with having, on the 2nd of May, 1888, in the barony of Dunboyne, parish of Dunboyne, unlawfully and cam illy known a girl between 13 and 16 years of age— Slovenly gait, hooked nose, full face, stout make, 5 feet 10 inches high, about 21 years of age, brown hair, no hair on face; wore a tweed coat, trowsers, and vest; is a labourer. Description of PATRICK DARCY, native of Ratoath, who stands charged with having, on the 30th April, 1888, in the barony of Ratoath, parbh of Dunshaughlin, stolen a suit of Workhouse clothes, the property of Dunshaughlin Board of Guardians :— Is of weak intellect and is continually talking about farming and ploughing, medium make, 5 feet 8 inches high, about 50 years of age, hair turning gray, wears all his beard, wore the Workhouse coat, trowsers and vest; was an inmate of Workhouse. Description of ROSE DUFF ( maiden name FINEGAN), mother's surname Marron, native of Mullanary, who, on the 28th day of April, 1888, in the barany of Farney, parish of Killanny, left the house of her master, Thomas Marron, in the townland of Drumgeeny, where she was employed as a servant, and has not sine 3 been heard of, and it is feared that she has met with foul play :— Blue eyes, short Eose, rod complexion, round face, stout make, about 4 feet 10 inches high, about 22 years of age, sandy hair; wore a dark shawl and a brown dress, a pair of elastic side boots, no hat or bonnet. She is a married woman, her husband is in America for the past three years ; is a servant. Sho got 5s. from hor master when leaving, and stated that she was going to Carrickma- cross to see her father, but she did not go thore. Carrickmacross, 15th May, 1888. ( 88528 c._ 518U.) ( 87919 c.— 50821.) Sligo. Description of JOHN HAMILTON ( mother's name M'Loughlin), native of Tullyhugh; —. DAVY, supposed native of Greyfort, and a MAN, name unknown, supposed native of Greyfort, who stands charged with having, on tLe morning of 23rd April, 1338, in the barony of Leyny, parish of Achonry, broken into the houso of Owen Lavin, of Carrowrielly, and intimidated him by threats and violence :— 1. Hazel eyes, regular nose, pale complexion, long face, medium make, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 25 or 26 years of age, fair hair; wore a hard black felt hat, and dark tweed clothes* is a farmer's son. 2. Small fair side whiskers and moustache, shave? upper part of chin, long nose, fair complexion, long thin face, medium make, 5 feet 8 inches high, about 27 or 28 years of age, fair hair; wore a low soft blttck hat, and knitted cuffs, dark tweed sack coat, dark trowsers and vest. 3. High cheek bones, black moustache, no beard or whiskers, swarthy complexion, broad face, very stout make, 5 feet 5 inches high, about 25 years of age, dark hair; wore a dark tweed coat, dark trows. rs and vest. Description ot THOMAS GORMAN, native of Cahir, who stands charged with having, on the 10th day of May, 1888, in the barony of Iffa and Offa West, parish of Cahir, assaulted the police :— May have scratches or marks on face and head, blue eyes, regular nose, fresh complexion, thin face, medium make, 5 feet 9 inches high, about 24 years of age, fair hair, we irs all his beard which is fair and short; wore a dark tweed coat, dark brown trowsers, dark vest; is a soldier. O'BRIEN, native of Ivcockaginny, who stands charged with having, on the 2nd May, 1888, in the barony of Lower Dungannon, parish of Carnteel, set fire to a dwelling- house, the property of Thomas Callaghan, at Aughnacloy, county Tyrone:— Leans forward when walking, delicate appearance, dark eyes, regular nose, pale complexion, thin face, slight make, 5 feet' 6 inches high, about 40 years of age, black hair; wore a black overcoat, black cloth trowsers, and vest; is of weak intent, and addicted to drink ; is a suspended R. C. Clergyl Warrant for his arrest is in the hands of R. I. stabulary, Aughnacloy. Aughnacloy, May 20, 188S. Particulars relative to Convict SAMUEL BLAIR, A 790, who has broken the conditions of his licence, convicted at Belfast, county Antrim, on 7th December, 18S3, for burglary 3 count'', and larceny 1 count, and sentenced to 5 years'" penal servitude, in each case sentences concurrent:— 19 years of age on conviction, s'n. le, is a sailor, born in Londonderry, resided before conviction at Belfast, his friends reside at Londonderry; light brown hair, gray eyes, light brown eyebrows, broad nose, medium mouth, fresh complexion, round visage, stout make, 5 feet 2J inches high, bracelet, anchor,, and shield cn left forearm, square, compass, and dot back of left hand, ring on left middle finger and little finger, square and compass and dot, on back of light Land. This man was released from Mountjoy Prison on Licence, the 16th February, 1888, and went to Belfast. lie engaged as a sailor in a ship bound for America, on 30th ult., got £ 1 fwm the Captain to buy clothes, but failed to turn up on the 5th inst., when the ship sailed, and his present whereabouts is unknown. In the event of his arrest he should be dealt with under the 5th section of the Act 34 & 35 Vic., cap. 112. ( 160 H. C.) Description of WILLIAM POTTER, wanted here on Warrant for having stolen on the 11th instant, from the ship '• Speedy Row," now lying in the Alexander Basin, one suit of clothes, one pair sea boots, two guns, one telescope, and the sum of property of the Master of said ship:— He is a sailor, a native of Dublin, and about 48 years old, 5 feet 8 inches high, slight make, stooped shoulders, wears all his beard, which is dark turning gray, and the middle finger of one of his hands wants a joint; dressed when last seen in a short gray monkey jacket, dark lrowscrs, and Scotch cap. Stolen or strayed on the evening of the 8th instant, from the Royal Barracks, Dublin, FRANCIS CLARKE, aged 3 years and 4 months, dressed in a blue serge sailor suit, full face, blue eyes, fair hair, has a saall birth mar) t on back near shoulders. The above reward will be paid to any person giving such information as will lead to the recovery of the child, and the prosecution of the person who has it unlawfully in his posfession, on application to its father, Band Sergeant Francis Clarke, Royal Lancaster Regiment, Royal Barracks, Dublin.
