Description of PATRICK KENNEDY, native of Drogheda, who stands charged with having between October, 1887, an the 3rd March, lt) 88, in the barony of Drogheda, parish of St. Mary's, embezzled several sums o money, the property of George Galbraith, amounting to £ 4:—!• ull round face; gray eyes, regular nose, fresh complexion, full face, stout make, 5 feet fij inches high, about 31 years of age, black moustache, black hair; wore a blue jacket, tweed trowsers, and vest; was a bread deliverer, and also drove floats and vans; it is suspected that he may be employed at Liverpool, and that he underwent treatment a short time since for a varicose vein. Description of PATRICK DARCY, native of Ratoath, who stands charged with having, on the 30th April, 1888, in tho barony of Ratoath, parish of Dunshaughlin, stolen a suit of Workhouse clothes, the property of Dunshaughlin Board of Guardians :— Is of weak intellect and is continually talking about farming and ploughing, medium make, 5 feet 8 inches high, about 50 years of age, hair turning gray, wears all his beard, wore the Workhouse coat, trowsers and vest; was an inmate of Workhouse. Description of ROSE DUFF ( maiden name FINEGAN), mother's surname Marron, native of Mullanary, who, on the 28th day of April, 1888, in the barany of Farney, parish of Killanny, left the house of her master, Thomas Marron, in the townland of Drumgeeny, where she was employed as a servant, aad has not since been heard of, and it is feared that she has met with foul play :— Blue eyes, short nose, red complexion, round lace, stout make, about 4 feet 10 inches high, about 22 years of age, sandy hair ; wore a dark shawl and a brown dress, a pair of elastic side boots, no hat or bonnet. She is a married woman, her husband is in America for the past three years ; is a servant. She got 5s. from hor master when leaving, and stated that she was going to Carrickma- cross to see her father, but she did not go there." Carrickmacross, 15th May, 1888. Description of JAMES DERMODY, supposed native of county Tipperary, who stands charged with having, on the 9th day of April, 1888, in the barony of Stradbally, parish of Moyanna, stolen 2 two . shilling pieces, a dark tweed frock coat and vest of same material, the property of John Berry, Ballyduff, and and value for about nine shillings:— Red lump on face, round stooped shoulders, finger of one hand bent, red eyelids, shews a good deal of white of eyes, gray or btae eyes, large nose, fresh complexion, long face, stout make, 5 feet 5 inches high, about 50 years of age, sandy whiskers, dark hair; wore a new solt hat, long gray coat, and corduroy trowsers, old strong laced boots; speaks with a Tippcrary accent; isa labourer. DAVY, supposed native of Greyfort, and a MAN, name unknown, supposed native of Greyfort, who stands charged with having, on the morning of 23rd April, 1888, in the barony of Leyny, parish of Achonry, broken into the house of Owen Lavin, of Carrowrielly, and intimidated him by threats and violence :— 1. Hazel eyes, regular nose, pale complexion, long faco, medium make, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 25 or 26 years of age, fair hair ; wore a hard black felt hat, and dark tweed clothes, is a farmer's son. 2. Small fair side whiskers and moustache, shaves upper part of chin, long nose, fair complexion, long thin face, medium make, 5 feet 8 inches high, about 27 or 28 years of age, fair hair; wore a low soft black hat, and knitted cuffs, dark tweed sack coat, dark trowsers and vest. 3. High cheek bones, black moustache, no beard or whiskers, swarthy complexion, broad face, very stout make, 5 feet 5 inches high, about 25 years of age, dark hair; wore a dark tweed coat, dark trowsers and vest. Description of MARY EGAN ( mother's surname Dufly), native of Tubbercurry, who stands charged with having, on the 3rd April, 1888. at Tubbercurry, in the barony of Leyney, parish of Achonry, stolen from a cash box, in the dwelling- house of Margaret Connolly ( which was forcibly opened), £ 6 in single notes, one half sovereign, and three shillings : Gray or blue eyes ( cast in one), regular nose, ruddyoomplexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 1 inch high, about 22 years of age, dark red or sandy hair; wore a^ black skirt, cream shawl, woollen, may wear black jacket which is missing; is a domestic servant. Is likely to go to England or America. Warrant in hands of the Constabulary. Tubbercurry, April 6, 1888. ( 87777 c.— 50574). Tipperary. Description of THOMAS GORMAN, and JOHANNA GORMAN, natives of Cahir, who stand charged with having, on the 10th day of May, 1888, in the btlrony of Iffa and Offa West, parish of Cahir, assaulted the police. JOHANNA GORMAN is also charged with having aided in rescuing Thomas from the custody of the police :— 1. May have scratches or marks on face and head, blue eyes, regular nose, fresh complexion, thin face, medium make, 5 feet 9 inches high, about 24 years of age, fair hair, wears all his beard which is fair and short; wore a dark tweed coat, dark brown trowsers, dark vest; is a soldier. 2. High cheek bones, gray eyes, short cock nose, fresh complexion, broad face, medium make, 5 feet 3 inches high, about 22 years of age, dark hair; wore a dark shawl, and dark dross. Cahir, 11th May, 1888. ( 88470 51766.) Tyrone. ROBERT BLACK ( Junior), intent to procure abortion, not arrested; Hue- and- Cry, 27th January, 1888. ( 86369 c.— 48131) Waterford. Description of a MAN, name and native place unknown ( refused to give name), who has been sentenced to a month's imprisonment under the Vagrancy Act, and is now in Waterford gaol, he faila to give any address or account of himself. There are strong grounds for believing that he has been moving about from place to place in the garb of a R. C. Clergy- man, collecting monies for schools and religious purposes:— Gray eyes, regular nose, fair complexion, rather long face, medium make, about 5 feet 7 inches high, about 35 or 40 years of age, fair hair ; dressed as a R. C. Clergyman; he has prominent front teeth, common expression, walks with a slight stoop. If required, please communicate with the District Inspector, R. I. C., Portlaw. Portlaw, April 25th, 1888. Stolen or str* yed on the evening of the 8th instant, from the Royal Barracks, Dublin, FRANCIS CLARKE, aged 3 years and 4 months, dressed in a blue serge sailor suit, full face, blue eyes, fair hair, has a small birth mirk on back near shoulders. The above reward will be paid to any person giving such information as will lead to the recovery of the child, and the prosecntion of the person who has it unlawfully in his pos- ession, on application to its father, Band Sergeant Francis Clarke, Royal Lancaster Regiment, Royal Barracks, Dublin. Description of HENRY MARTIN, wanted here on Warrant, for having unlawfully received by false pretences the sum of £ 1 with intent to defraud:— He is about 40 years old, 5 feet 6 inches high, stout make, square shoulders, fair hair turning gray, no whiskers, slight moustache, fresh complexion, reddish face; dressed in black jacket and twesd trowsers. He lefr, Dublin about six weeks ago, and it appears went to Belfast of which town he is a native. Information to Superintendent WILLIAM REDDY, Detective Department, Dublin, who holds a Warrant for his arrest. WILLIAM REDDY, Superintendent. Superintendent's Office, G. Division, 3rd May, 1888. Particulars relative to Convict WILLIAM JOHN M'CARTnEY, alias JOHN MURRAY alias FITZGERALD, convicted at Belfast Quarter Sessions, on 30th October, 1883, I. larceny, II. larceny and confessed to a previous conviction for felony, and sentenced to ( I.) one week's imprisonment, and at expiration ( II.) 5 years' penal servitude, and 3 years' Police supervision :— 18 years ol age on conviction, read and write, is an Episcopalian, single, is a labourer, prison trade labourer, born at Aunahilt, county Down, resided before conviction at Belfast, his friends reside at Anderstown, Belfast:— Brown hair, brown eyes, dark brown eyebrows, small nose, large mouth, sallow complexion, oval visage, stout make, 5 feet 4 inches high ; large scar on ball of left thumb, scar on head, email cut on forehead, right arm has been broken at elbow. This man was released on licence from Maryboro' Prison, on 20th October, 1887. He recently left his residence in Belfast without notifying same to the Police, and his present whereabouts is unknown. _ __ In the event of his arrest he should be dealt with under 5th section of the Act 34 and 35 Vic., cap 112. ( 154 H. c.) Particulars relative to Convict GEORGE KELLY,. A 787, convicted at Belfast Hillary Sessions, on 4th December, 1883, for larceny, and sentenced to 5 years' penal servitude and 3 years' police supervision :— 31 years of age on conviction, married, is a tailor, born in Sligo, resided before conviction at Belfast, where his friends reside; brown turning gray hair, gray eyes, dark eyebrows, large nose, large mouth, sallow complexion, oval visage, medium make/ 5 feet 1 inch high, pock- marked. This man was released on Licence from Mountjoy Prison, the 27th February, 1888. He recently left his lodgings in Belfast, without intorming the Police, and his present whereabouts is unknown. In the event of his arrest he should be dealt with under the 5th section of the Act 34 & 35 Vic., cap. 112. ( 150 H. c.) Particulars relative to Convict RACHEL WALKER, B 83, convicted at Downpatrick, county Down, at the Trinity Sessions, on 13th June, 1882, for larceny after previous conviction for felsny, and sentenced to 7 years' penal servitude:— 50 yesirs of age on conviction, single, born at Downpatrick, resided before conviction in Downpatrick, where her friends reside ; gray hair, hazel eyes, dark eyebrows, long and broad nose, medium mouth, fresh complexion, round and short visage, stout make, 5 feet 1 inch high ; scar on right eyebrow. This woman was released from" The Shelter," Dublin, on licence 18th February, 1887, and went to Belfast. She reported to the Royal Irish Constabulary at Donegal- street, Belfast, on the 13th ult., that she was going to reside at 40, Market- street, Fast District, but she has not reported herself at the latter place, and her present whereabouts is unknown. In the event of her arrest she should be dealt with under the 5th section of the Act 34 and 35 Vic., cap. 112. ( 150 H. c.) Convict HENRY MORAN, A 817, not arrested; Hue- and- Cry, 1st May, 1888. ( 147 H. C.) Convict WILLIAM DOHERTY, alias MICHAEL FARNAN, otherwise JAMES HAMILTON, A 719, not arrested ; Hue- ard- Cry, 13th April, 1888. ( 144 H. C.) ENGLISH POLICE. blackburn. WILLIAM RAWLINSON, embezzlement, not arrested ; Hue- and- Cry, 13th March, 1888. ( 140 H. C.) Cumberland. Description of JOHN READ, of 97, Peel- road, Bootle, near Liverpool, Weighman, charged with stealing £ 14 6s., from a dwelling house, in Penrith, on the 29th ult.; he left Penrith same day by train for Preston :— Age 38 years, height 5 feet 11 inches, pale delicate looking, has a cough, big roman nose, blue eyes, dark hair, small light moustache, beard on chin, and slender figure; dressed in black top coat with velvet collar, dark tweed coat, dark trowsers, and vest, and low hard hat. He is an ex- policeman, and is supposed to be a native of Liverpool; he was under the influence of drink when be left Penrith, and he may be found lodging in a public house. To be arrested, and information sent to Superin- tendent FOWLER, Penrith, who holds the Warrant for his apprehension. Not to be apprehended out of the United Kingdom. Wanted, i^ W arrant, for forging several acceptances to Bills of Exclmhge, JOHN QUINLAN, a native of High Bentham, in the West Riding of the county of York, age 45, height 5 feet 8 or 9 inches, eyes gray, light brown hair, long whiskers and moustache, sallow complexion. He is of a very excitable temperament, and twitches his eyes when talking ; has a habit of biting his finger nails, which are bitten very low; is a brisk walker, but rather weak- kneed. He is known to be in London, from where he has sent several telegrams from different offices. The last one was serit to Lancaster last night, the 5th instant, from " King's Cross B," at 6 30 p. m. He will probably endeavour to leave for Australia by the mail, as it has been ascertained that he has provided himself with several articles necessary for travelling. Please cause every enquiry to be made at hotels, shipping offices, and all other likely places, and if found, arrest and wire me, when an officer will immediately be sent for him.
