Notices respoctii^ all Felonios and such Misdemeanours as are of an aggravated nature will be inserted. All Descriptions cff persons whose apprehension is sought on a charg'o of Misdemeanour should Pe accompanied by a statement that a Warrant has been issued, Mid by the name of the'person in whose hands it is. But the Constabulary Bhould remember that they cannot arrest a person charged with an offence of this nature, unless they have tho Wamdit in their possession when making the arrest. Description of THOmAS DONOHUE ( supposed), native place unknown, who stands charged with having, on the 7th November, 1887, in the barony of Cork, parish of St. Nicholas, stolen two coat?— No. 1, a top coat, dark brown cloth; No. 2, a short blueish green cloth shooting coat, with welted seams on sleeves; a brown tweed trowsers and a pair of shooting boots, the property of William Vokes, Manager of Lloyd's Circus, all value for about £ 5 10 « . Supposed to be wearing the clothes :— Slight squint in one eye ; hazel eyes, sharp nose, fresh complexion, thin face, medium make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 50 j ears of age ; wore a solt American hat, black coat, and tweed trowsers ; is a confectioner, but recently employed as a labourer, and travels with Lloyd's Circus. Description of JEREMIAH TWOHIG, native of Horscmount, who stands charged with havii^, op the 9th November, 1887, in the barony of West Muskerry, parish of Clondrohid, fired a shot at members of the Royal Irish Constabulary with intent to kill:— Smart active appearance, brown eyes, regular nose, fair complexion, regular face, medium make, 5 feet 7 inches high, % bout 26 years of age, dark brown hair ; wore a gray two- peaked cap, gray tweed coat, trowsers, and vest. Johnston, a pair of lady's laced boots, nearly new, and value for about 12s.— Large blue eyes, cocked nose, fresh complexion, round full face, stout mike, 5 feet high, about 14 or 15 years of age, fair hair; wore a brown h# t trimmed with plu- h, black twilled jacket trimmed with black tur, and brown velvet dress; she accompanies her fuller, who is* tramp, from to* n to town. Description of JOHN VERNON, alias JOHN M'ILVERNON, native of Ballydavy, who stands charged with having, on the 9th day of December, 1887, at Ballylenaghan, in the b. irony of Upper Castlereagh, parish of Knockbieda, unlawfully and feloniously broken and entered the dwelling- house of John Martin, and stealing therefrom one silver Geneva watch, with imitation gold chain attached ; one pair of men's laced boots, with hooks at top, to.'- capped; a meerschaum pipe, and £ 13, made up as follows: — One five pound nole, four o^ e pound notes, two sovereigns, and four half sovereigns. Description of WILLIAM HOGAN, native of Dublin, who stands charged with having, on the 15th November, 1887, in the baron^ of east Offaly, parish of Ballysax, stolen a coat and vest, value for £ 1, and a pair of elastic side boots much worn, value ^' or 4s.; the coat and vest have been found in a pawn Office : Cast in both ey- jg.; regular nose, fresh complexion, round face, medium make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 38 years of aw ; is a Carpenter, ami served 12 years in the Royal Engineers; smart active appearance. Description of FOUR PERSONS, names and n itivo places unknown, who stand charged with having, on the 80th October, 1887, in the barony of Newcastle, parish of Kilmactolwy, unlawfully assaulted James Sheridan ( Junior), and robbed him of sixpence :— 1. Sandy complexion, shaved face, 6 feet high, about 30 years of age, sandy hair; wore a moleskin trousers and vest; apparently a Labourer. 2. Dark complexion, 6 feet high, about 20 yeat.. ol age, dark hair; wore a faded black coat, trousere and vest; apparently u Labourer. 3. Sandy complexion, shaved face, 5 feit high, about 40 years of ago, dark hair; wore a darn tweed coat, trousers, and vest; apparently a Labourer. 4. Dai ' ripiion of three tramps, who stand charged with having, on the 29th November, 1887, in the barony of Kilcullen, parish of Kilcullen, waylaid and robbed Maurice Dillon, of Knockbounce, county Kildare, and stole from him one pale leather coloured purse fastened with one spring clasp, and wbicli contained oao shilling in silver and nine pence in coppers :— 1. JOHN WILLIAMS, alias JOHN CHARLES, alias JOHN BERGIN, native of Plymouth, who has been committed for trial to the Winter Assizes, charged with burglary, and robbery of £ 19 7s. 10d., two bottles of whiskey, and some small articles ( which have all boon recoverod), the property of Mrs Anne Fennin, of Bracknagh. The accused, on th; 27th October last, pawned a silver lever hunting watch, No. 26094 ; maker s name, John Johnes, 338 " Strand "* wriich is supposed to have been . stolen. Any information re- garding him, including previous convictions, to be addressed to the District Inspector, Athy : Marks of scar on left cheek, bluo eyes, slightly cocked nose, fresh complexion, round face, medium make, 5 feet 6 or 7 inches high, about 27 * r ' 28 years of ago, sandy hair ; wore a light tweed coat, tweed trousers, tweed vest; small light sandy moustache, no beard or whiskers ; goes by tl e name of " Foxy Jack ;" served in the army; stage dancer. Description of PATRICK CRAIG, ^ itive of Rathdowney, Queen's county, who stands charged with having, on the 2nd day of April, 1887, in the barony of Ballycown, parish of Kilbride, wilfully deserted his wife Martha Craig and three childr^ p, at Tullamore, King's county, whereby they have become destitute and have been since in Tullamore Union Workhouse and receiving relief therein :— Three marks of small pox on right temple, round shoulders and short neck, large blue eyes, regular nose, florid com- plexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 9 inches high, about 37 years of age, dark hair; wore a light tweed coat, trowsers, and vest; is a maltster. For said offence they were returned for trial to Quarter Sessions, at Rathkeale, on 7th October, 1887, but failed to appear for trial at said Quarter Ses- sions :— 1. Description of WILLIAM MURPHY ( Sen.) nativo of Appletown, county Limerick, who stands chargedwith having on the 26th day of October, 1887, in the Barony of Glenquin, parish of Mahoonagh, seriously assaulted William Murphy ( Junior), by striking him a blow on the head with a loaded butt from the effects of which • his life is in danger :— Gray or blue eyes, regular noso, fresh complexion, round face, medium make, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 35 years of age, brown hair, wore a round hard hat, brown tweed coat, cord trow^ rs, and tweed vest; wore all his beard which is s< md£ except chin shaved ; is a farmer. Louth Description of a MAN, name unknown, who stands charged with having, on the 12th day of December, 1887, in the barony of Ardee, parish of Smarmore, committed a rape on one Mary Malone, of Ardee: — Supposed to have the mark of a bite on the back of one of his hands; pale complexion, whitish face, medium make, 5 feet 9 inches high, about 24 years of age ; wore a round black cap, frieze coat, corduroy trowsers; supposed^'* be a tramp. Description of DOMINICK GALLAGHER, native of Glann East, who stands charged with having, on the 25th December, 1887, in the barony of Costello, parish of Kilbiagh, stabbed Patrick M'Gowan in the neck, from the effects of which he died on 27th inst. :— Speaks with an English accent, was in America, very long drooped nose, flushed long thin face, medium make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 42 years of age, has shaved off beard, whiskers, and moustache; wore a low hat, dark coat, tweed or cord trowsers, and dark vest; is a farmer. A Warrant for his arrest ^ in the hands of the Constabulary at Caledon ; £ 50 reward will be paid by Earl of Caledon for such infor- mation as will lead to his arrest. Descri^ fcon of PATRICK M'ALEER, native ot Dromore, w4io stands charged with having, on the night of 2 Ist* or morning of 22nd September, 1887, in the baronj of Strabane Lower, parish cf Ardstraw, stolen a heifer, value for £ 11, the property of His Grace the Duke of Abercorn. The prisoner was arrested on the 22nd September, and was awaiting his trial on the 20th inst., in Omagh Gaol, from which he escaped this morning :— Good looking, brown eyes, regular nose, pale com plexion, regular face, medium make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 17 yeas- s of age, light brown hair ; wore prison uniform, except cap and boots. Description of PETER FARRELLY, native of Loughan- town, and a MAN and WOMAN, names and native places unknown, who stand charged with having, on the 2nd January, 1888, (. 12 mid- day), in the barony of Moygoish, parish ot Russagh, assaulted Michael Daly, process server, fcd robbed him of six processes :— 1. Very large mouth, wore a slight fair moustache, gray eyes, regular nose, fresh complexion, oval face, stout make, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 20 years of age, brow* hair; wore a hard black hat, coat, trowsers, and vest of gray twdtd, much worn 5 is a farm jaboi^ er. 2. I'arfflfei relative To GEORGE GREAtRIX, English supervisee, convictod at Middlesex Sessions on 6th December 1880, for larceny in dwelling- house and receiving after previous conviction, and sentenced to 5 years' penal servitude and 3 years police supervision :— 26 years of age on conviction, single, is a photographer; born in Liverpool, resided b fore conviction at Camden road London, where his friends re- ide; brown hair, gray eyes, fresh complexion, oval visage, stout make, 5 reet 5 inchos high, scars front of ribs, and right side of belly, mole on right collar bone, scar below chest left side. This supervisee, on the 17th ult., reported to the Dublin Police that he was going to Belfast, but he has not reported himself at the latter place, and his present whereabouts is unknown. ( 125 B.
