COLLIS BROWNE'S CHLORODYNE. 3 CAUTOOH — Genuine Chlorodyme " Every bottle of this well- know remedy for Conghs, Colds, A athm^ Bronchitis, 4c., bears on the Government stamp the Name of the Inventor— DR. J. COLLIS BROWNE. H THEY PIERCED MY HANDS." We might find much to say about the Hands of Jesus, and notice through the three years of His ministry on earth how they brought blessing, and healing, and life, and abundant supplies; how they touched the leper, the sightless, the wounded ear of Malchus— these Hands that were pierced ! But to- dav let us take a few Old Testament thoughts, and see if our experience corresponds with what we read. We find the Hand of our Lord connected with the meeting of our great needs. Do we need strength 1 Ezra says, " I was strengthened as the Hand of the Lord my God was upon me." Daniel says, " There came and touched me One. . . . and He strengthened me." Do we need deliverance ? Listen 1 it is God Himself speaking : " The Lord said unto Moses, Is the Lord's Hand waxed short? Thou shalt see now.' " And again we have Ezra's testimony, " The Hand of our God was upon us, and He delivered us from the hand of the enemy." Should we like to prosper ? " The Hand of our God is upon all them for good that seek Him." " The king granted all his request, according to the Hand of the Lord his • God upon him." Are we willing that God should mould us into His own image? " Behold, as the clay is in the potter's hand, so are ye in Mine Hand." Do we need comfort in times when we feel " Day and. night Thy Hand was heavy upon me "—" The Hand of God hath touched me " ?— and shall we not find it in recog- nising that the chastening Hand is also the pierced Hand, and, like the disciples of - old, be glad that we have seen the Lord when He shows His Hands to us 1 Do we need healing? Job says, " He woundeth, and His Hands make whole." Do we need sustaining ? " I will uphold thee with the Right Hand of My Righteous- ness." " The wise and their works are in the Hand of God." And shelter ! " In the shadow of His Hand hath He hid me." Surely these needs are ours. Surely we see how all such needs are met in Him. Have we found it so ? If not, why not ? Have we remained so far off, so unwilling, that He could not touch us? He would have us very near. He would have us as the little children whom " He took up in His arms, laid His Hands upon them, and blessed them."
