Description of TWO PERSONS, names and native placcs unknown, who stand charged with having, on the 5th August, 1887, in the barony of Lower Toome, parish ol Kirkinriola, obtained a gold watch, chain, and diamond cut gold brooch and ear- rings, by false pretences, all value for £ 9 10s :— 1. Gray eyes, regular nose, fresh complexion, full face, medium make, 5 feet 8 inches high, about 35 years of age, dark hair, dark moustache, beard, and whiskers; wore a black cloth coat, light tweed trowsers, and black cloth vest; dressed as a clergy- man, with low soft black hat. Has been in America, and will likely endeavour to return there ; apparently a clergyman. 2. Red birth mark on left side of neck, gray eyes, regular nose, fair complexion, regular face, medium make, 5 feet 4 inches high, about 25 years of age, fair hair; wore a white straw hat trimmed with white lace, and cream coloured silk dress; wile of above. Bald on top of head, slightly round shoulders, smart appearance, wore all his beard clipped rather close, turning gray, gray moustache, dark blue eyes, cocked nose, pale complexion, regular face, slight make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 60 years of age, gray hair ; wore a round hard black hat, rather long black coat, trowsers, and vest. 2. Scar on bridge of nose, bald on top of head smart appearance, dark side whiskers turning gray, clipped close, shaves his chin, dark moustache, dark eyes, hooked nose, fresh complexion, thin face, medium make, 5 feet 8 inches high, about 50 years of age, dark hair turning gray; wore a brown soft hat ( American style), tweed coat, trowsers, and vest. 3. Lost some teeth from front of mouth, dark brown moustache, sullen looking, dark piercing eyes, sallow complexion, thin face, active make, 5 feet inches high, about 30 years of age, dark brown hair; wore a round black hat, brown tweed coat, trowsers, and vest. 4. Round shoulders, rather short neck, small fair moustache, gray eyes, thin nose, fair complexion, regular face, medium make, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 30 years of age, fair hair, wore a round black hard hat, brown tweed coat, trowsers, and vest. 5. Small fair moustache, small gray eyes, slight nose, fair complexion, regular face, active make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 30 years of age, fair hair; wore a round black hard hat, brown tweed coat, trowsers, and vest. 6. Very small fair moustache, blue eyes, short cocked nose, fair complexion, round face, very stout make, 5 feet 4 or 5 inches high, about 25 years of age, fair hair; wore a round hard black hat, light coloured dust coat, striped tweed trowsers, and vest. Description of EDWARD SINNOTT. native of Fermoy, but at present no fixed place of residence, who stands charged with having, on the 6th day of June, 1886, in the barony of Fermoy, parish of Mallow, deserted his four children, who have since been chargeable to the rates of the Mallow Union :— Dark eyes, ( right eye defective— sometimes wears a shade over it), regular nose, sandy complexion, thin face, medium make, 5 feet 11 inches high, about 48 years of age, dark brown hair; wore a black Ulster coat, tweed trowsers, and black vest, side whiskers, round stooped shoulders, worn looking appearance; attends fairs and acts as what is known as a blocker. FLEMING, a rate collector, of 36, Heytesbury street, and Putland- road, Bray, wanted for embezzlement:— He is about 34 or 35 years of age, 5 feet 8 or 9 inches high, very round shoulders, blind of one eye ( supposed the right), fair hair and complexion, slight sandy moustache, chin shaved ; generally dresses in tweed. Particulars relative to Convict THOMAS HAY- DEN, A 710, convicted at Dublin, at the Recorder's Court, on 31st March, 1883, for larceny, and sentenced to 5 years'penal servitude:— 26 years of age on convic- tion, single, is a draper's assistant; born at Dublin, resided before conviction in Dublin, where his friends reside, Irishtown- road, Dublin; light brown hiar, hazel eyes, fair eyebrows, small nose, small mouth, fair complexion, oval visage, medium make, 5 feet 5£ inches high ; cut scar left side of face, lost two upper front teeth. This man was Teleased from Mountjoy Prison on licence, 2nd April, 1887, and went to reside at Irish- toWn- road. He has recently left his residence without reporting to Police, and his present whereabouts is unknown. In the event of his arrest he should be dealt with under the 5th sec. of the Act 34 and 35 Vic., cap. 112. ( 91 H. O.) Particulars relative to Convict JAMES MURPHY alias LAWLOR, who is missing from Maryborough Prison, where he was last seen abouMS o'clock, p. m., on the 16th August, 1887; convict « 1 at Recorder's Court, borough of Belfast, on 26th iieptember, 1882, for larceny, and sentenced to 7 years' penal servitude; is also liable to serve 304 days of a former sentence:— 26 years of age on conviction, can read and write, is a Roman catholic, married, is a carpenter, prison trade carpenter, resided before conviction at Belfast, where his friends resile; brown hair, gray eyes, brown eyebrows, large nose, regular mouth, fresh complexion, oval visage, medium make, 5 feet 5 inches high ; cut scar on top of head; cut mark on little finger left hand; mark on left leg, and two on breast; cut mark on second toe, left foot. NOTICE— A money reward not exceeding £ 5 may be paid to any person who may apprehend and deliver up a convict who shall have effected his escape from a Government prison. Application to be made to the General Prisons Board, Dublin Castle. By Act 19th and 20th Vic., cap. 68, sec. 32, it is provided that any person who shall by any means whatever aid and assist any prisoner to escape, or in attempting to escape, shall be guilty of felony, and being convicted thereof, shall be kept in penal servitude for any term not less than 6 nor more than 8 years. Particulars relative to Convict JOHN BURNS, convicted at Downpatrick, county Down Assizes, 17th March, 1883, for uttering base coin, and previous conviction for like offence, and sentenced to 5 years penal servitude:— 63 years of age on conviction; read; Roman Catholic ; widower; is a labourer; born in Ballybay, county Monaghan; resided before convic- tion in Newry, his friends reside in Newry; gray hair, brown eyes, dark brown eyebrows, small nose, medium mouth, sallow complexion, worn visage, medium make, 5 feet 5 inches high ; ruptured on right side. This man was released on licence from Maryboro' Prison, 20th February, 1887, and went to reside at lodgings in Maryboro', which place he left without notifying same to the R. I. Constabulary, and his present whereabouts are unknown. In the event of his arrest he should be dealt with under 5th section of the Act 34 and 35 Vic., cap. 112. ( 83 H. C.) Wanted here, charged w. ith deserting his wife and family, on the 11th July 1887, and leaving them chargeable to the Cockermouth Union, WILLIAM HODGSON, alias " FORTY POCKETS," labourer, 32 years of age, 5 feet 3 or 4 inches high, light brown hair, slight light moustache, gray eyes, long thin face, a native of Cockermouth ; dressed in fustian trowsers and jacket, cord vest, black felt hat, and clogs. May be found at common lodging- houses, and likely to be employed at stables, or carrying parcels for travellers. This man may be accompanied by a woman, named Elizabeth Welsh, about 35 years of age, short and stout, pock- pitted, and has 4 children with her. Kindly make every possible search and enquiry for Hodgson, if found arrest and communicate with Mr. Superintendent TAYLOK, Cockermouth, Cumberland, who holds a Warrant for his apprehension. Silloth, lying in Silloth Dock, viz;— A gold chased hunting watch. No. 21026, " Dent's Chronometer" on dial, and " Makers to the Queen " on works ; a 9- carat gold Albert, round link pattern; one 20- dollar piece, one 50- franc piece, and one old guinea, all gold; value £ 40. THOMAS PEARCE, alias TOMMY THE GUESSER, licence holder No. 35 years of age; 5 feet 8 inches high, fresh complexion, light hazel eyes, fair hair ; is a racing sharp, hotel thief, and member of the ramping mob. Description of ATTY DONAGHY ( mother's surname Kidd), native of Belfast, who stands charged with having, on the 25th day of March, 1887, in the barony of N. W. Liberties, parish of Templemore. stolen a sweeping machine, the property of George Hasson:— Hole on right check, anchor, heart, chain and some letters tattooed on both arms, dark eyes, short nose, dark complexion, round face, very stout make, 5 feot 7 or 8 inches high, about 30 or 35 years of age, brown hair, small brown moustache; wore a black silk cap, no coat, dark trowsers, moleskin vest; is a tramp sweep. Dressed in navy blue ribbed cloth suit, and black bowler bat, new elastic side boots of small size.
