REaTJLATIONS- l All announcements for insertion in the POLICE GAZETTE, ami all communications upon thcin should be addressed to THE EDITOR or THE POLICE GAZETTE, GREAT SCOTLAND YARD, LONDON, S. W. 2. Particulars concerning persons whose apprehension is sought will be inserted in one issue of the POLICE GAZETTE, if they are sufficient to enable action to be taken upon them by another force. 3. Particulars as to stolen property will be likewise inserted in one issue, if sufficient to enable the article in question to be thereby identified. 4. In all cases where a reward is offered the name and address of some person responsible for the payment must be given, ani the exact conditions be clearly stated. 5. Portraits of persons whose apprehension is sought for serious offences, and engravings of itolen property, will be prominently inserted, with detailed particulars, at a cost of 15s. per portrait, and of Is. Gd. per photograph or sketch of a stolen article, including the expense of engraving on wood. G. Every announcement, if for the apprehension of a person, must be guaranteed by the signature of an officer of not less rank than Superintendent; and, if the name of such person be required to be inserted, and no warrant is in force against him, the requisition must be signed by the chief officer of police, or his immediate deputy, of the county, city, or borough, as the ruse may be. 7. Announcements concerning stolen property must be guaranteed by an officer of not less rank than Inspector, or analagous thereto. 8. Announcements of all persons to be apprehended or of stolen property bear a number and are alphabetically arranged by counties. 9. The force which causes particulars concerning delinquents, or stolen property to be inserted in the POLICE GAZETTE, must, on their apprehension or recovery, at once transmit to the Editor notice of the fact, referring to the number of the announcement for insertion in i he next issue. 10. In all cases, the officer signing the request for insertion of any anno. jncement will be wholly responsible for any proceedings which may result from such publication. 11. Announcements for the Friday issue should be forwarded so as to be received not later than noon on Wednesday, and for the Tuesday edition not later than Saturday morning. They mus- be clearly written on one side of the paper only, be in the usual form, and accompanied by covering letter. 12. All payments must be in advance, either at the office, Great Scotland Yard, by chequc, crossed " JJrummond $ Co.," Post Office Order payable at Charing Cross, Postal Order or in Stamps. 13. Advertisements are accepted for the POLICE GAZETTE through Mr. James Willing, 125, Strand, London, the sole Agent, who will furnish the rates on application. 14. The appearances of Christ after His resurrection were not only infallible proofs of His havine risen, but also taught His disciples that He was always at hand, always thinking of them, watching over them; that after His ascension, though absent in body, He could be present in spirit and fulness of divine power. He would not leave them " orphans." The vision of the glorified Saviour nerved Stephen to die. To Paul, at Corinth, set in the midst of great dangers, the Lord spoke in a vision, " Be not afraid, for I am with thee." And the Revelation, which in the beginning tells us how the beloved apostle fell down as dead before the excellent glory of Jesus, in the end assures us that in the New Jerusalem " they shall see His face." Let us take these truths for our own, live daily in the power of them. Doubtless there is a barrier between a holy God and His sinful creatures, but it is not on God's side, or of God's making. Christ our Lord is the same to- day that He was yesterday, and on earth His rule was, when He forgave men, to tell them so. THOEOLD.
