PARTICULARS relative to English Police Supervisee Patrick O'Donald, alias Hugh Lapping, convicted at Salford, county Lancaster, at Sessions, on 7 July, 1884, for stealing a coat after a prior conviction, and sentenced to 15 calendar months and 5 years police supervision ; 24 years of age on conviction, single, is a plasterer, born in Glasgow, resided before con- viction at 27, Gun- street, Manchester :— Brown hair, gray eyes, pale complexion, oval visage, proportionate make, 5 feet 3 inches high ; burn marks on left fore- arm. This supervisee was discharged from Knutsford Prison on 6th October, 1885, and went to reside at 5, Millfield- place, Belfast, which place ho left on or about the 1st instant, and is supposed to have gone to Liverpool. PARTICULARS relative to Convict John Herbert, A 64, convicted at Newry, county Down, at the Summer Assizes, on the 3rd July, 1879, for larceny and previous conviction, and sentenced to 7 years' penal servitude:— 32 years of age, single, is a labourer, born at Monkstown, county Dublin, his friends reside at Rathmines; light brown hair, blue eyes, fair eyebrows, broad nose, medium mouth, sandy complexion, broad visage, medium make, 6 feet 4 inches high; dot between forefinger and thumb, both hands. This man was released on licence from Mountjoy Prison, 2nd January, 1886, and went to reside in Dublin. He reported himself to the Police on same date, and said he had no settled place of residence, but when he had procured one he would inform them. He has not done so up to the present, and his whereabouts is unknown. In the event of his arrest he should be dealt with under the Act 34 < fc 35 Vic., section 5, cap. 112. January 18, 1886. DESCRIPTION of John James Moriarty, late a con- fidential runner in the Hibernian Bank, Dublin, who is wanted on Warrant here, for that he did, on the 29th August, 1885, unlawfully abscond and feloniously steal the sum of £ 2,391 lis. lOd. sterling, the money and property of the said Bank:— 28 years of age, 5 feet 10 inches high, slight build, florid complexion, fair hair, no beard, whiskers, or moustache, blue eyes, walks erect; dressed in ( supposed) yellowish tweed suit, and low brown jerry hat. DESCRIPTION of Robert Farquharson, Joint Manager of the Munster Bank Dublin, and Agent for the Royal Exchange Assurance Company, Dublin, who disappeared from his residence about mid- day, on the 28th instant, and absconded from his office, leaving his accounts in an unsatisfactory state:— He is about 40 years old, 5 feet 9 inches high, dark hair, dark beard, whiskers, and moustache, slightly tinged with gray, dark fresh complexion, good dark sparkling eyes, prominent teeth, average build, walks with a stoop, dressed in gentlemanly style, generally wears a silk hat; is a native of Scotland. He is suspected of having embezzled over £ 10,000, property of the said Bank. Information to Superintendent WILLIAM REDDY, Detective Department, Dublin, who holds a Warrant for his arrest. DESCRIPTION of Joseph Greene, native of Mace ( Carna), who stands charged with having, on the 9th January, 1886, in the barony of Ballynahinch, parish of Moyrus, seriously assaulted John Corbett, by striking him with a stone on the head, and being bailed to stand his trial at the present Galway Spring Assizes, failed to do so :— Down- looking appearance, dark whiskers, recently clipped very short, gray eyes, ordinary r. ose, dark complexion, thin face, medium make, 5 feet 8 inches high, about 22 years of age, dark hair; wore a black soft hat, dark gray frieze coat, trowsers, and vest; is a farmer's son. DESCRIPTION of the property of Mrs. Hannah Mathews, which was stolen from her house, Rich- mond- road, in the parish of Clonturk, barony of Coolock, by some person or persons unknown, on the night of the 26th or morning of the 27th March, 1886 :— A large silver bread- basket, with crest ( lamb and banner) on handle ; a silver horse- shoe brooch, with cap and hunting- whip cut thereon; a small gold brooch, shaped like a vine leaf; a silver brooch, shaped like a violin; a silver plated pen and pencil- case ; a pair of double white blankets; three gentle- man's neckties, a white calico and a dark blue silk, in which was inserted a gold breast- pin, with yellow hair in it; two pairs of ladies' boots, laced: a lady's mackintosh, black, value about 16s.; a small penknife; a white linen shirt; and a quantity of fair hair, rolled in tissue paper. DESCRIPTION of Patrick M'Morrow, native of Cooladrummon, Drumcliffe, county Sligo, who s'auds charged with having, on the morning of the 13th April, in the " barony of Drumahaire, parish of Drumlease, seriously assaulted John M'Cann by fracturing his skull with a stone, thereby placing his life in danger:— Dark eyes, large nose, yellow complexion, thin face, medium make, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 20 years of age, dark hair; wore a soft hat, gray tweed coat, trowsers, and vest. DESCRIPTION of Peter Joseph Rooney, native of Glenade', who stands chargod with having, on the 12th December, 1885, and on subsequent dates, in the barony of Dromahaire, parish of Cloonclare, obtained several sums of money from one Thomas Loughlin, aud others, by means of false pretences :— Large dark eyeg, regular nose, fresh complexion, round face, medium make, 5 feet 8 or 9 inches high, about 25 years of age, dark curly hair ; wore a two- peaked cap, and dark clothes; drives a post car through the country, and represents himself as a tea traveller, offers tea and sugar at very low prices, and obtains some money, promising to send the goods. DESCRIPTION of a person, name and native place unknown, but who gave the name of Andrew Cotter, who stands charged with having, on the 7th day of April, 1H86, in the borough of Limerick, parish of Saint John's, by fraud and false pretences, obtained from one John Crowe, . one sack of flour, one sack of Indian meal, and one cwt. of bran, the property of Thomas Gaffney, Esquire, J. P. ; supposed to reside in the neighbourhood of Killkishen, district of Tulla, and county Clare :— Round stooped shoulders, short cocked nose, fair reddish complexion, medium make, 5 feet 5 inches high, between 40 and 50 years of age, sandy hair and whiskers all round face ; wore a gray frieze coat; appeared to be a countryman. DESCRIPTION of Peter M'Guigan ( mother's sur- name M'Glade), native of Cloane, who stands charged with having, on the 3rd October, 1885, at Clunty- geeragh, in the barony of Kennaught, parish of Dungiven, with others, unlawfully risen and as- sembled to disturb the peace :— Leans forward when walking, wears all his beard, which is long and brown, blue eyes, long nose, sallow complexion, long face, stout make, 5 feet 9 inches high, about 30 years of age, dark hair; wore a black cloth cap, black coat, light tweed trowsers, and dark vest; is a farm labourer.
