PARTICULARS relative to Convict James Henchy, who is missing from Lusk Prison, where be was last seen, about 8: 30 A. M., on the- 19 th AJFL+ L.' ( Sll'ffln- victed at Dublin City Commission, 6th June, 1882, for robbery with violence, and sentenced to 5 years' penal servitude, reckoned from 2nd June, 1882 :— 20 years of age on conviction, can read and write, is a Roman Catholic, single, a labourer, prison trade blacksmith, resided before conviction in Dublin, his friends reside at 2, Mullinahack, off New- row, Dublin; dark hair, hazel eyes, dark brown eye- brows, small brok'n nose, large mouth, fair com- plexion, oval visage, stout make, 5 feet 4^ inches high, faded tattooing marks on right forearm. Notice.— A reward of from £ 3 to £ 5 may be paid to any person who may apprehend and deliver up a convict who shall have effected his escape from a Government Prison. Application to be made to the Governor of the Prison. PARTICULARS relative to Convict Frederick Benson, A333, convicted in Dublin, at Recorder's Court, on 12th October. 18* 1, for assault and bodily harm, and sentenced to 5 years' penal servitude :— 25 years of age on conviction, single, is a painter; born in Dublin, resided before conviction in South King- street, Dublin : brown hair, gray eyes, light brown eyebrows, small nose, medium mouth, fresh com- plexion, oval visage, stout mahe, 5 feet inches high ; cut scur right side of head, anchor on left forearm. This man was released from Mountjoy Prison, 8th December, 1885, on licence, and went to reside at 111, Bride street, Dublin. He left his residence without notifying same to the Metropolitan Police, and his present whereabouts is unknown. PARTICULARS relative to English Police Supervisee Patrick O'Donald, alias Hugh Lapping, convicted ai Silford, county Lancaster, at Sessions, on 7 July, 1884, for stealing a coat after a prior conviction, and sentenced to 15 calendar months and 5 years police supervision : 24 years of age on conviction, single, is a plasterer, born in Glasgow, resided before con- viction at 27, Gun- street, Manchester :— Brown hair, gray eyes, pale complexion, oval visage, proportionate make, 5 feet 3 inches high ; burn marks on left fore- arm. This supervisee was discharged from Knutsford Prison on 6th October, 1885, and went to reside at 5, Millfield- place, Belfast, which place ho left on or about the 1st instant, and is supposed to have gone to Liverpool. This man was released on licence from Mountjoy Prison, 2nd January, 1886, and went to reside in Dublin. He reported himself to the Police on same date, and said he had no settled place of residence, but when he had procured one he would inform them. He has not done so up to the present, and his whereabouts is unknown. In the event of his arrest he should be dealt with under the Act 34 & 35 Vic., section 5, cap. 112. January 18, 1886. DESCRIPTION of Robert Farquharson, Joint Manager of the Munster Bank Dublin, and Agent for the Royal Exchange Assurance Company, Dublin, who disappeared from his residence about mid- day, on the 28th instant, and absconded from his office, leaving his accounts in an unsatisfactory state :— He is about 40 years old, 5 feet 9 inches high, dark hair, dark beard, whiskers, and moustache, slightly tinged with gray, dark fresh complexion, good dark sparkling eyes, prominent teeth, average build, walks with a stoop, dressed in gentlemanly style, generally wears a silk hat; is a native of Scotland. He is suspected of having embezzled over £ 10,000, property of the said Bank. Information to Superintendent WILLIAM REDDY, Detective Department, Dublin, who holds a Warrant for his arrest. DESCRIPTION of the undernamed young offender who, on the 6th March, 1886, absconded from the Malone Reformatory School at Belfast:— Wm. Joseph Carlisle, 17 years of age, light brown hair, blue eyes, sharp nose, prominent mouth, fresh complexion, long visage, medium make, 5 feet 5 inches high ; born at Belfast; formerly belonged to Belfast; parents reside at 15, Barrow- street, Belfast ; sister also residing in Leper- street, Belfast; scar on left side of neck, blue dot between thumb and fore- finger of right hand. Dress worn by juvenile when he absconded— Moleskin jacket, moleskin trowsers and blue dongares oversuit, moleskin vest, cloth Glengarry cap, blue striped shirt, red and black tie, Blucher boots, and woollen stockings. The Manager of the Reformatory will defray the expenses of his conveyance, if arrested, to the nearest Justice, on remand, and will reward the person who may capture him with £ 1. Description of the ass :— A mare ass, 5 years old, light brown colour, very fat and swift, very short tail, fresh scrape or cut over right eye, had on three worn shoes, no shoe on off hind foot; value for £ 4. A mare, 15 years old, black colour, stiff in fore- legs, in poor condition, about 15 hands high; value for £ 2. 2. A stripper cow, red and white colour, white stripe along the back, white spots on legs, one horn turned towards the eye, thin condition, about 10 or 12 years old ; value for £ 3. J. C." ; maker, Ryan, Limerick ; supposed stolen by a man who gave the name of Thomas Ryan ( described below), and who worked for James Clune from the 15th to the 18th March, 1886. DESCRIPTION of a donkey and car, the property of William Murphy, which were stolen from his house at cowhill, parish of Knockavilly, barony of East Muskerry, on the night of the 15th or morning of the lGth instant:— A brown he ass, shod on off fore foot, mark of draught on left thigh;— A small light car with side boards, faded red paint, portion of the tail board broken off, draughts fastened to staple in shaft by a bit of stick, supposed stolen by tramps, Hallesy and Sullivan, known to the police here. DESCRIPTION of a person, reputed to be John Neill, or O'Neill, native place unknown, who stands charged with having, on the 2nd April, 1886, in the barony of West Division East Carbery, parish of Kilkerranmore, murdered Daniel Neill, of Knocks District, Dunmanway, Sub- District Ballygurteen, by shooting him with a revolver :— Wants forefinger of right hand, regular nose, pale complexion, thin face, slight make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 50 years of age, dark hair; wore a sack- shaped dark coat, light trowsers like doeskin, check flannel shirt; is a navvy, lately on Clonakilty and Ballydehob New Rail- way; returned American, Dunmanway, April 4, 1886. DESCRIPTION of the property of Mrs. Hannah Mathews, which was stolen from her house, Rich- mond- road, in the parish of Clonturk, barony of Coolock, by some person or persons unknown, on the night of the 26th or morning of the 27th March, 1886 :— A large silver bread- basket, with crest ( lamb and banner) on handle ; a silver horse- shoe brooch, with cap and hunting- whip cut thereon ; a small gold brooch, shaped like a vine leaf; a silver brooch, shaped like a violin ; a silver plated pen and pencil- case ; a pair of double white blankets ; three gentle- man's neckties, a white calico and a dark blue silk, in which was inserted a gold breast- pin, with yellow hair in it; two p* irs of ladies' boots, laeed: a lady's mackintosh, black, value about 16s.; a small penknife; a white linen shirt; and a quantity of fair hair, rolled in tissue paper. DESCRIPTION of articles, the property of William George Edmonds, which were stolen from his dwell- ing- house, 2, Charlemont- terrace, Marino, in the parish of clontarf, barony of Coolock, on the night of 8th or morning of 9th March, 1886, by some persons unknown :— A marble clock, non- striking, from which a brass presentation plate, three inches by three- fourths of an inch, has been wrenched ; a brass card- tray, figured with two cards; two small pictures of water scenery, in frames ; a prayer- book, with brown cover, and two brass clasps, and inscrip- tion on inner cover, " B. M'Kittrick "; a black cloth topcoat, braided, and velvet collar; a pair of dog- skin gloves, with brass buttons, and red stitchiDg inside, a small brass magnifying- glass with three legs and screw top; a small Chinese bowl; a green table- cloth, with black flowering; a photographic album, with puce cover, containing several photo- graphs ; several books not describable. DESCRIPTION of Joseph Greene, native of Mace ( Carna), who stands charged with having, on the 9th January, 1886, in the barony of Ballynahinch, parish of Moyrus, seriously assaulted John Corbett, by striking him with a stone on the head, and being bailed to stand his trial at the present Galway Spring Assizes, tailed to do so :— Down- looking appearance, dark whiskers, recently clipped very short, gray eyes, ordinary r. ose, dark complexion, thin face, medium make, 5 feet 8 inches high, about 22 years of age, dark hair; wore a black soft hat, dark gray frieze coat, trowsers, and vest; is a farmer's son. DESCRIPTION of John Morrissey ( mother's surname Daly), native of Brosna, who stands charged with having, on the night of the 4th instant, in the barony of Trughenackmy, parish of Brosna, fired two shots into the dwelling- house of Hanoria Casey, with intent to kill or maim the inmates thereof:— Probably has fresh cuts or bruises on head or face, dark eyes, long sharp pointed nose, pale complexion, thin face, medium make, 5 feet 9 or 10 inches high, about 30 years of age, black hair, heavy eyebrows, small black moustache, a returned American, speaks through his nose with a Yankee twang, may have a revolver in pocket over seat of trowsers ; wore a black sealskin cap, gray tweed coat, corduroy trowsers, and gray tweed vest; is a cooper. King's DESCRIPTION of Edward Whelan, alias Thomas Connell, of no fixed place, who stands charged with having, on tho 24thMarch, 1886, in the barony of Bally- butt, parish of Birr, been concerned as an accessory in the murder of Catherine Dunne:— Underlashesofeyes tender and red, bald on the front of head, and looks like an army pensioner, long nose, pale complexion, long face, medium make, 5 feet 9 inches high, about 50 years of ago, dark hair, turning gray, dark whiskers and moustache, turning gray ; wore a faded soft black hat, bright tweed coat, and dark tweed trowsers. DESCRIPTION of Patrick M'Morrow, native ot Cooladrummon, Drumcliffe, county Sligo, who s'auds charged with having, on the morning of the 13th April, in the barony of Druma, haire, parish of Drumlease, seriously assaulted John M'Cann by fracturing his skull with a stone, thereby placing his life in danger:— Dark eyes, large nose, yellow complexion, thin face, medium make, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 20 years of age, dark hair; wore a soft hat, gray tweed coat, trowsers, and vest. DESCRIPTION of a person, name and native place unknown, but who gave the name of Andrew Cotter, who stands charged with having, on the 7th day of April, 1 « 86, in the borough of Limerick, parish of Saint John's, by fraud and false pretences, obtained from one John Crowe, one sack of flour, one sack of Indian meal, and one cwt. of bran, the property of Thomas Gaffney, Esquire, J. P. ; supposed to reside in the neighbourhood of Killkishen, district of Tulla, and county Clare :— Round stooped shoulders, short cocked nose, fair reddish complexion, medium make, 5 feet 5 inches high, between 40 and 50 years of age, sandy hair and whiskers all round face ; wore a gray frieze coat; appeared to be a countryman.
