WANTED here on a Sheriff's Warrant, for theft of £ 100 5j., received by him yesterdav, on behalf of his employer, James Sinclair, Stock Broker, 88, St. Vincent- street, here, and with which he the same evening absconded i—. Charles M'Nab, a clerk, about 20 years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, dark hair, dark complexion, thin face, slightly squint of- left eye, scar on right side of neck; dressed in a black cord jacket, dark tweed trowsers with blue stripe through thom, black felt hat, and lacing hoots. Resided with his parents at 24, Albert Drive, Cross- hill, near Glasgow. Police Officers are requested to make particular search and inquiry for accused at shipping, shipping offices, and all other likely places, and should he be found, arrest and communicate with A. EMBEZZLEMENT OF £ 140. - Wanted here, on a Sheriff's warrant, for embezzle- ment of i £ 140, being the proceeds of a Bankrupt's Estate, on whi, ch accused acted as Trustee :— Angus M. Campbell, an accountant, about 84 years of age, 5 feet 6 or 7 inches high, stout make, dark com- plexion, dark hair, slight dark side whiskers, no moustache, shaved on chin, brown eyes; dressed ( supposed) in a light checked tweed suit, green or Blate coloured overcoat, and square- crowned black felt hat. Is a native of Lochfyneside, Argyleshire, and speaks with a Highland accent. Accused, who absconded on the 11th instant, had an office at 176$, Hope- street, here, afid resided at 173, West Graham- street. Police officers are requested to have particular search and inquiry made for accused at hotels, ship- ping offices, and all other likely places, and should he be found, arrest, a ad communicate with A. PARTICULARS relative to Convict John Herbert, A 64, convicted at Newry, county Down, at the Summer A- sizes, on the 3rd July, 1879, for larceny and previous conviction, and sentenced to 7 years' penal servitude:— 82 years of age, single, is a labourer, born at Monkstown, county Dublin, his friends reside at Rathmines; light brown hair, blue iyes, fair eyebrows, broad nose, medium mouth, sandy complexion, broad visage, medium make, 5 feet 4 inches high; dot between forefinger and thumb, both hands. " This man was released on licence from Mountjoy Prison, 2nd January, 1886, " and went " to reside in Dublin. He reported himself to the Police on same date, and said he had no settled place of residence, but whqn he had procured one he would inform them. He has not done so up to the present, and his whereabouts is unknown. In the event of his arrest he should be dealt with under the Art 34 & 35 Vic., section 6, cap. 112. January 18, 1886. ( 81913 M.— 59598.) n DESCRIPTION of John James Moriarty, late a con- fidential runner in the Hibernian Bank, Dublin, who is wanted on Warrant here, for that he did, on the 29th August, 1885, unlawfully abscond and feloniously Steal the sum of £ 2,391 lis I Od. sterling, the money and property of the said Bank:— 28 years of age, 5 feet 10 inches high, slight build, florid complexion, fair hair, no beard, whiskers, or moustache, blue eyes, walks erect; dressed in ( supposed) yellowish tweed suit, and low brown jerry hat Information to Superintendent WILLIAM REDDY, Detective Department, Dublin, who holds a Warrant for his arrest. Superintendent's Office, G Division, September 3, 1885, DESCRIPTION of Robert Farquharson, Joint Manager of the Munster Bank Dublin, and Agent for the Royal Exchange Assurance Company, Dublin, who disappeared from his residence about mid- day, on the 28th instant, and absconded from his office, leaving his accounts in an unsatisfactory state:— He is about 40 years old, 5 feet 9 inches high, dark hair, dark beard, whiskers, and moustache, slightly tinged with gray, dark fresh complexion, good dark sparkling eyes, prominent teeth, average build, walks with a stoop, dressed in gentlemanly style, generally wears a silk hat; is a native of Scotland. He is suspected of having embezzled over £ 10,000, property of the said Bank. Information to Superintendent WILLIAM RBBDY, Detective Department, Dublin, who holds a Warrant for his arrest. In the above case the Liquidators of the Munster Bank ( Limited) will pay a reward of £ 500 for the arrest of the said Robert Farquharson, on his being delivered up to the Gaol Authorities in Dublin. Convict, James Schriber, described in the Hue- and- Cry of 19th January last, has not been arrested. English convict, Margaret Ryan, descried in Hue- and- Cry of 1st of January last, has not been arrested. Convict William M'Manus ( failing to report him- self), not arrested; Hue- and- Cry, 11th December, 1885. Convict James Hearty, described in Hue- aud- Cry of 8th of last month, has not been arrested. DESCRIPTION of the undernamed young offender who, on the 6th March, 1886, absconded from the Malone Reformatory School at Belfast:— Wm. Joseph Carlisle, 17 years of age, light brown hair, blue eyes, sharp nose, prominent mouth, fresh complexion, long visage, medium make, 5 feet 5 inches high ; born at Belfast; formerly belonged to Belfast; parents residue at 15, Barrow- street,, Belfast; sister also residing in Leper- street, Belfast ; scar on, left side of neck, blue dot between thumb and fore finger of right hand. DESCRIPTION of a watch, stolen from the dwelling- house of James Clune, of Capparoe, parish of Tomgraney, and barony of Tulla Upper, between the 15th and 18th March, 1886 ;— Silver Geneva Watch, No. 43,496, initialled on back " M. J. C." ; maker, Ryan, Limerick ; supposed stolen by a man who gave the name of Thomas Ryan ( described below), and who worked for James Clune from the 15th to the 18th March, 1886. Nose much turned up, sallow complexion, black hair, about 6 feet high, no whiskers, about 18 years of age, dressed in a black coat, and wore a cap. Killaloe, March 29, 1886. ( 73636 o.— 26847.) DESCRIPTION of a grayhound, the property of John Hayes, which was stolen from his father's house at Kilbane, parish of Killokennedy, barony of Tulla, Lower, on the night of the 6th March. 1886 :— A female grayhound, pale red colour, white circle round the neck, white spot on forehead, breast, legs, and top of tail white, about 5 months old ; value for about XI, Killaloe, Mar. 18, 1886. DESCRIPTION of a person, reputed to be John Neill, or O'Neill, native place unknown, who stands charged with having, on the 2nd April, 1886, in the barony of West Division East Carbery, parish of Kilkerranmore, murdered Daniel Neill, of Knocks District, Dunmanwav, Sub- District Ballygurteen, by shooting him with a revolver :— Wants forefinger of right hand, regular no » e, pale complexion, thin face, slight make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 50 years of age, dark hair; wore a sack- shaped dark coat, light trowsers like doeskin, check flannel shirt; is a navvy, lately on Clonakilty and Ballydehob New Rail- way; returned American. Timothy Buckley, native of Caher- barule, who stands charged with having, on the 1st February, 1886, in the barony of West Muskerry, parish ot Aghabollogue, committed a rape;— Bow- legged, gray eyes, regular nose, fresh complexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet high, ahout 16 years of age, brown hair ; wore a two- peaked cap, gray coat, trowsers, and ve « t; is a servant boy. Patrick Quinn ( charged with having been one of a party of men, who called at the houses of several persons and demanded arms and money), not arrested; Hue- and- Ory, 4th Dec « mber, 1885. Dublin. DESCRIPTION of the property of Mrs. Hannah Mathews, which was stolen from her house, Rich- mond- road, in the parish of Clonturk, barony of Coolock, by some person or persons unknown, on the night of die 26th or morning of the 27th March, 1886 :— A large silver bread- basket, with crest ( lamb and banner) on handle ; a silver horse- shoe brooch, with cap and hunting- whip cut thereon ; a small gold brooch, shaped like a vine leaf; a silver brooch, shaped hke a violin ; a silver plated pen and pencil- case ; a pair of double white blankets; three gentle- man's neckties, a white calico and a dark blue silk, in which was inserted a gold breast- pin, with yellow hair in it; two pairs of ladies' boots, laced a lady's mackintosh, black, value about 16a.; a small Eenknife ; a white linen shirt; and a quantity of fair air, rolled in tissue paper. DESCRIPTION of articles, the property of William George Edmonds, which were stolen from his dwell- ing- house, 2, Charlemont- terrace, Marino, in the parish of Clontarf, barony of Coolock. on lhe night of 8th or morning of 9ih March, 1886, by some persons unknown:— A marble clock, non- striking, from which a brass presentation plate, three inches by three- fourths of an inch, has been wrenched ; a brass card- tray, figured with two cards; two small pictures of water scenery, in frames ; a prayer- book, with brown cover, and two brass clasps, and inscrip- tion on inner cover, " B. Kittrick "• a black cloth n> p< cat, braided, and velvet collar; it pair of skin gloves, with brass buttons, and red stitching inside, a small brass magnifying- glass with three legs and screw top; a small Chinese bowl; a green table- cloth, with black flowering; a photographic album, with puce cover, containing several photo graphs ; several books not describable. DESCRIPTION of James Smith, native of London, who stands charged with having, on the 11th February, 1886, in the barony of Uppercross, parish of Tallaght, robbed Edward Rafter, of Castlekelly, farmer, of a purse containing one five pound note, two pounds in gold, and about seventeen shillings and sixpence in silver:— Very large eyes, foolish looking, regular nose, fair complexion, thin face, slight or medium make, 5 feet 4 or 5 inches high, about 30 years of age, fair hair, sandy whiskers and moustache, growing very thin on face; wore an old soft hat, three small buttons on side, old black cloth coat, moleskin trowsers patched on knees with corduroy, and tweed vest; is a labourer, and sup- posed deserter from Army. Kildare DESCRIPTION of a man, name and native place unknown, who stands charged with having, on the 4th February, 1886, in the barony of North Salt, parish of Taghadoe, set fire to a rick of hay the property of Miss Rickards, of Corbally:— Dark complexion, thin face, medium make, 5 feet 2 inches high, about 40 years of age, dark hair, chin shaved, wore side whiskers ; wore a soft jerry hat, dark worn coat, dark trowsers, and vest; is a tramp. DESCRIPTION of Joseph Greene, native of Mace ( Carna), who stands charged with having, on the 9th January, 1886, in the barony of Ballynahinch, parish of Moyrus, seriously assaulted John Corbett, by striking him with a stone on the head, and being bailed to stand his trial at the present Gal way Spring Assizes, tailed to do so :— Down- looking appearance, dark whiskers, recently clipped very short, gray eyes, ordinary rose, dark complexion, thin face, medium make, £ feet 8 inches high, about 22 years of age, dark hail'; wore a black soft hat, dark gray frieze coat, trowjsrs, and vest; is a farmer's son. He will endeavour to emigrate to America, and it is believed he may havp already done so. Warrant ordered for his arrest. Roundstone March 19, 1886. ( 72603 c.— 26584.) DESCRIPTION of watches and other property, stolen from John P. Fogarty's shop, situate in Shop- street, Galway, which was forcibly entered on the night of 22nd or morning of 23rd iastant:— Four silver Geneva watches, ladv's size, numbered 24,513, 24,514, 245,400, 245,586, value £ 2 each ; a gentle- man's silver lever watch, centre second, No. 47,076, value about £ 8 : a silver gilt bracelet, value £ 1 17s. ; a silver and pebble bracelet, value £ 2; a silver and inlaid connamara marble bracelet, value £ 1 12s. ; four silver bracelets, value 9s. 6d. each ; five pocket penkives, James Barber, maker, value Is. 6d. each. DESCRIPTION of Thomas Connor, native of Curra- vaha, Glencar, who stands charged with having, on the 25th day of March, 1886, in the barony of Glenarough, parish of Kenmare, pointed a gun at one Denis Sullivan, gamekeeper:— Gray or blue eyes, regular nose, fresh complexion, full clean face, stout active make, 5 feet 7£ inches high, about 24 years of age, fair hair; wore a brown plaid tweed trowsers ; is a labourer. DESCRIPTION of John Allman, native of Keeloclo- hane, who stands charged with having, on the 6th March, lf- 86, in the barony of Trughenackmy, parish of Kilcoleman, fired a shot at the dwelling- house of one Darby Clifford, to the terror of the inmates thereof-— Dowri- looking appearance, round shoulders, holds his head down when walking, generally keeps his hands in his pockets when walking, blue or gray eyes, straight nose, fair complexion, long thin face, stout make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 22 years of age, dark brown hair, wore a soft dark hat, reddish- gray sack coat, tweed trousers, and vest; is a labourer. DESCRIPTION of Jeremiah Healy, native of Fehanagh, who stands charged with having, on the 14th February, 1886. in the barony of Glenarough, parish of Tuosist, struck qne Jeremiah Shea, with a stone on the head, thereby placing his life in Leitrim. DESCRIPTION of Peter Joseph Rooney, native ot Glenade, who stands charged with having, on the 12th December, 1885, and on subsequent dates, in the barc ny of Dromahaire, parish of Cloonclare, obtained several sums of money from one Thomas Loughlin, and others, by means of false pretences :— Large dark eyeo, regular nose, fresh complexion, round face, medium make, 5 feet 8 or 9 inches high, about 25 years of age, dark curly hair; wore a two- peaked cap, and dark clothes; drives a post car through the country, and represents himself as a tea traveller, offers tea and sugar at very low prices, and obtains some money, promising to send the goods. DESCRIPTION of Michael Power, and John Power,, natives of Kilmeedy, and William Kiely ( mother's surname Irwin), native of Dromminacreena, who stand charged with having, on the 8th January, 1886, in the barony of Upper Connello, parish of Ballingarry, seriously assaulted Catherine Fitzgibbon, and thereby placed her life in danger: 1. Blue or gray eyes, regular nose, fair com- plexion, regular face, medium make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 20 years of age, fair hair; wore a low soft hat, gray tweed coat, tweed trowsers and vest; is a cooper. 2. Blue eyes, regular nose, fair complexion, thin face, slight make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 19 years of age, fair hair; wore a low soft hat, dark tweed coat, tweed trowsers and vest; is a cooper. 3. Gray eyes, regular nose, sallow complexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 18 years of age, light brown hair; wore a low soft hat, dark tweed coat, cord trowsers, and dark tweed • est; is a farmer's son Adare, January 16, 1886. ( 72560 c.— 24897.) Mathew Ryan ( Rue), and Michael Laffan ( serious assault), have been arrested and admitted to bail} Hue- and- Cry, 30th March, 1886. Londonderry. DESCRIPTION of Peter M'Guigan ( mother's sur- name M'Glade), native of Cloane, who stands charged with having, on the 3rd October, 1885, at Clunty- geeragb, in the barony of Kennaught, parish of Dungiven, with others, unlawfully risen and as- sembled to disturb the peace :— Leans forward when walking, wears all his beard, which is long and brown, blue eyes, long nose, sallow complexion, long face, stout make, 5 feet 9 inches high, about 30 years of age, dark hair; wore a black cloth cap, black coat, light tweed trowsers, and dark vest; is a farm labourer. Was bailed for trial at Derry Spring Assizes, 1886, but failed to appear; supposed to have gone to America. Bench Warrant issued for his arrest. Limavady, March 29, 1886. ( 70762 c.— 22375.) DESCRIPTION of Thomas Brown, native of Kilcurry, who stands charged with having, on the night of 26th December, 1885, in the barony of Shrule, parish of Taghshinny, seriously assaulted Mathew- Ryan, of Kilcurry, in conjunction with James Dougherty, who has surrendered:— Good- looking, gray eyes, regular nose, fresh complexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 9 inches high, about 21 years of age, brown hair; wore a dark coat, gray trowsers and VGst * is a labourer Ballymahon, Dec. 28, 1886. DESCRIPTION of Thomas Costelloe, native of Cortoon, Kirwin, near Kilmaine, who stands charged with having, on the 16th July, 1886, in the barony of Kilmaine, parish of Ballinrobe, stoten a pig, the property of Michael Reiily, of Ballinrobe; the pig has been recovered:— Slight cast in left eye, gray or blue eyes, regular nose, fair complexion, regular face, medium make, 6 feet 9 inches high, about 27 years of age, fair hair; wore a fair moustache and small side whiskers, soft- black hat, gray tweed suit, black leather leggings, may have gone to England to rejoin the army ; army reserve man from cavalry ; he trains horses.
